Honestly nothing is set in stone yet but I was considering the possibility that she came around after Mr Mind tried to eat the multiverse. I think it'd make sense, both keeping with the bug theme and nature. Plus the idea for time gardens actually comes from 52 when Rip says this. I just went crazy with it. But also I think when she was invented doesn't matter entirely because she can time travel to any time and any timeline (as its her job) but i do think that's her source.

Now I am actually kind of on the fence as to where the timestream got the source to create Macromia.

I consider maybe she was a person once upon a time like Waverider was but I also like the idea of that being one of their differences that adds to conflict. Not the human vs non human w.o emotions trope (bc Macromia has emotions even if her face has no expressions) but instead someone from earth vs someone from and entirely different background and how that affects whats important to the other vice versa.

I also consider maybe the timestream yoinked one of those baby worms mr mind was throwing at everyone in 52 and created her that way. IDK yet :-].

Here’s my part for the GT Ghost Swap 2020 :D

My recipient is @possessedartist and among their prompts there was the suggestion to redraw a scene I like… luckily I also like that one scene where Yomiel sports Sissel in chap. 15! I messed around with gradient map since I know possessedartists likes pop color palettes and the ghost world background is blue since that’s how Yomiel sees it apparently. Hope you like it! :)

I’m so sorry, I had no idea Mujirushi was a thing till that meme post? Is there anywhere you could recommend reading it (or potentially buying?👀) because god I would LOVE to!

Oh, I’m afraid it hasn’t has an official English release just yet! As far as I know it was only officially released in Japanese and French, but Google books says an English translation is to be expected for July of this year, which is nice.

If you don’t mind scanlations though... I cannot recommend the Batoto version enough! They’ve done an incredible, incredible job when it came to localizing Iyami’s accent!

Like, that’s what his “me”s and “chimi”s and “zansu”s were always meant to be: Iyami’s best impression of what someone who lived abroad for such a long time they have acquired an accent sounds like, based on what he knows from pop culture. Having this little detail properly translated made all the difference to me, heh!

6. How do you find new fic to read? Where do you primarily read fanfiction?

I mostly read on AO3. Just open the tags I'm interested in and see if anything new has been recently posted. I decided whether or not I want to read something based on if I've enjoyed other works by the author, the summary, and the tags. Given that I mostly frequent very slow-moving tags/fandoms like Jounouchi/Kaiba, Minako/Kunzite, Numair/Daine, etc, it's easy enough to do it this way.

7. Do you prefer to read short fics or long fics?

I love both! Really depends on the mood and how much time I have to read. But there's something magical about digging into a meaty 80k fic at 11pm and I'm up til 6am. 😂

8. How often do you reblog/comment on fics that you like?

I try to be an active commenter for Jounouchi/Kaiba fics I read because it is my OTP, and I always want to try and encourage more content for it. I also try to leave substantive comments if I can, but that means I might have to re-read or go back to a chapter a day or two later when I have time to put those thoughts down. Keyword is still try, and some days I don’t have the energy and it slips my mind and I forget. ;;_;; Compared to that, reblogging is a breeze, so I always do my best to do that whenever possible.

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

I’ve decided to list more than 3, sue me. Went paging chronologically back through the tag on AO3 because I have a poor memory TM. Also I have no idea who’s actually “known” at this point because that would require interacting with a larger group outside of the three people I talk to regularly.
