Been thinking about Thirteen and Missy, thought I'd share my thoughts here too.

So, consider a Missy who, after the events of The Doctor Falls, actually makes it back to the Doctor. They travel together for a while. And maybe to begin with she's actually really trying hard to do things the Doctor's way - overcompensating even for what Simm!Master did, and she really does appear to have changed. The Doctor can't help herself, of course, she has hope and starts to really believe it. Maybe even Missy does too. But she can't keep it up, of course she can't, and she backslides massively and the Doctor is hearts-broken.

Idk man, I just have so many thoughts. Maybe one day I'll do something with it! And go further with exploring that wonderful line of "Your version of good is not absolute. It's vain, arrogant and sentimental" which I wish they'd done more with tbh

Okay I know it's not guaranteed by any means, and it's common enough for reds to survive a good while after turning red, but wouldn't it be funny if Martyn were to also be the first out of the game in Secret Life? The canary curse broken by the previous winner because the Watchers are just that done with Martyn's shit by now or whatever

Saw this on twitter and I love it!! The doctor isn't The Chosen One, she was a random kid who was manipulated and tortured then tossed aside when she wasn't useful. The higher ups on gallifrey only ever cared about how much trouble she caused them and she certainly wasn't anyone important to gallifreyan society (at least not bc of being the timeless child, I know the doctor has occasionally been lord president)

You know what would be cool? If in TFP, Megatron’s flagrant use of dark energon to revive whole swaths of cybertronian battlefields (the ones on Earth from presumed 6 years ago) actually has consequences and that the Autobots couldn’t get rid of every single zombie. How cool would it be if MECH came into the story preprepared with cybertronian knowledge if THEIR inciting incident in TFP was because and aimless zombie bot wandered too close to civilisation only for it to be handled by MECH and Silas gets a free corpse to study (and reference for future use)?

Idk but if you’re gonna start your pilot by including zombie hordes as your main plot I think it would actually help theme your series around that and the shit that happens afterwards-

After a little futzing I realized I was off with my previous post, the Guard Cap in IS2 will in fact go higher than 200K.

So rather than a set HP cap, the guard cap can proc 99 times per map before it stops increasing an operator's HP any further. It also works off of the current base HP going into the map, which factors in any HP-increasing items you've picked up along the way.

(As a side-note, it seems like any HP increasing items will only scale with the original base HP, otherwise things would get a lot more ridiculous. I've noticed the numbers don't always line up exactly though, so there might be some discrepancies)

Skadi has a maximum base HP value of 4166, and as far as HP items in IS2 we have:

Silent Squad: +45% (6040) Spearhead Squad: +15% (6669)(Nice) Noxious Hemostatic Agent: +20% (7502) First Aid Kit: +35% (8960) Unknown Instrument: +50% (11043) Bend Spears - Advancement: +40% (12709) Blademace: +10% (13125) Bladedance: +100% (17291) Stand-in Actor: +3% (17415) Abrupt Realization: +5% (17623)

A final HP value of 17623, before any skills or passive effects kick in. for context, my Skadi had 10,600 HP before I started redeploying to get the picture above.

Now if we factor in Specter the Unchained and her level 3 module, which gives all abyssal hunters an additional 33% max HP...

18,997 is the final number we get. If we do the math right now that adds up to 487,818 HP. But we're not done yet. There's more.

Aak S2 M3: +80% (Works off of original base HP before artifact buffs) Heidi S3 M3: +30% of Heidi's max HP Skadi S3 M3: +130% (Works off of base HP after artifact buffs)

This brings us to a final, absolutely bonkers wild HP value of 514,434. At which point I assume the game just loads in her health bar as

I liked where the specials left us. The implication I got is that Fourteen (the Earth Doctor, to me, now) split off basically to give Fifteen a fresh start, less weighed down? And I like that, it's interesting, I love Fifteen already (and admittedly, I think it's also an interesting variation that bi-regeneration is possible bc to me it helps reiterate that Tentoo was also one, just artificially induced).

As for the Earth Doctor... still full Time Lord as far as I could tell? So, capable of standard regeneration. I think it might one day be interesting for both Doctors to be involved in something - their relationship would be more sibling-esque than anything else, imo - but... only after the Earth Doctor has a new face.

I've loved seeing David and Catherine again, I like the Earth Doctor as part of Donna's family (it has echoes of Tentoo/Rose for me that I don't mind, David's Doctor[s] continue to be that part of the Doctor who wants a family and eventually gets it) but I think... I think if we see either of them again, especially David as the Earth Doctor, then I think it would become cheapened? Right now, I can see how it may not be everyone's cup of tea even if I like it, but it has to end here or it won't work at all in the long run.

#tw smoking #cw smoking #the mechanisms #jonny d'ville #art #digital art #btw had to actually think about how I think their regeneration works #and most wounds (especially fatal ones) scar and won't go away unless the entire area AROUND it has be be regrown #which resets their bodies (keeping scars gained before or during mechanization) #most scars end up being reset BUT sometimes scars will fade completely bc that's possible it just takes awhile #but some scars are so thick/large that they only go away with a total reset #they'll often throw themselves into the engine/other extreme deaths to reset on purpose bc after a certain point #too much scar tissue is painful/makes it hard to move #normally after getting a burn as large as the one on his back Jonny would immediately try to reset bc burn scars suck #but he doesn't do it this time bc he loves bringing up the fact that tim dropped a grenade on him by accident and needs a reason to #so the scar can stay #really large/severe/or old scars will sometimes last THROUGH a reset but will be less than they were #so when jonny eventually DOES reset the scar doesn't actually go away it just heals enough that it doesn't hurt to lift his arm up #his top surgery scars look thin but if you touch them the scar tissue is super thick so they last through resets #his most recent scar is the stab through the ribs from Ashes
