I remember seeing a post a while back that was from a sexual assault survivor speaking about Astarion’s experience. And how some people considering him more asexual after that experience belittled SA survivors experiences.

But like, all due respect you’re belittling asexual people and more specifically asexual people who are that way because they’ve experienced assault. Directly calling people who would consider Astarion asexual as considering him broken. Asexual people aren’t broken just like people who’ve been SAed aren’t necessarily either.

Currently rewatching the Tales of Arcadia series (excluding Rise of the Titans. I refuse to believe it exists)

I'm in the middle of 3Below rn, and I gotta say, I kinda wish Wizards was like this. A story happening parallel to the events of Trollhunters so we could get to know Douxie and Archie more and what they were doing during all the chaos, and then lead into the events we saw with the time traveling. I just feel like it would have given more time for the story along with more character development for Douxie.

Because every time I see a dissertation asserting that he is gay because he’s effeminate, or saying that because he has a supposed preference for men that women morally shouldn’t romance him (or be hard-locked out of romancing him), etc…

All I can think about

Is the time I tried to come out as bi for the very first time and got scoffed at and shot down. “You’re not bi.” (Over a decade ago now. We were sitting outside a Wendy’s. I was eating fries. I was glad it was dark enough to hide my hurt.)

Or the entirety of my young adulthood being told that I am a woman only. A submissive woman. That I need to be taken care of by a dom. (That my ‘first time’ was almost arranged for me.)

Or “Since when do you use they/them pronouns?” (For the last two years. I just didn’t feel safe coming out to you thanks for asking.)

Always. People trying to tell me what I am and what I am not. Trying to tell me what I need. And they are wrong. I know myself.

RANDOM THOUGHTS!!

So this is obviously about my personal journey with having difficulty with the English language and with the Spanish language(is my first language and I still have issues with reading and speaking it so like?!? Shits tough). But I was always placed in speech classes in elementary school, put in extra help English classes cause I had low scores, and I just didn’t read for pleasure or grapple any reading material that didn’t have pictures in it until late middle school early high school.

I’m saying this because I know I’ll always have a hard time reading things in any language, and it’s a thing I’ve realized early over time. It’s especially hard with being in grad level classes in my university and it’s been exhausting to say the least

And adding to that I haven’t been really giving myself time to do creative things or projects for a while now and if I do it is a brief moment than it’s back to work so…

TELL ME WHY I FINSHED A WHOLE CHAPTER BOOK IN LESS THAN A WEEK!!! I’ve never done that before holy shit

I'm about to go off ranting but. Kids get yelled at so much when they say "I was born in the wrong generation!" But they're absolutely right. They're right. This generation SUCKS. And adults keep blaming kids for it. Which, it partially is. But most of it is the (not all of the) adults. More specifically, the ones supporting the war. The ones supporting KOSA. The ones supporting ai. The ones stealing from the lives this generation never got to live. They got to live those lives, except now they're grown up and the only concern is corporate invitation and inflation marketation. It doesn't matter what the new generation wants. Why would it? No. It matters what the higher power influential adults want. Not the adults that "aren't allowed to speak up," not the kids that "aren't old enough to have a voice." Only the adults that have control over it all, the ones that bonus from it positively, they get the power. They're making bad choices and they're trying to hide it from the world, they're trying to victimize, blame, rewrite. They're trying to rewrite the world in their favour.

Leviathan falling for Barb first, and man does he fall hard

He starts crushing on the butler when he fixes his cosplay; Levi had ordered it and it showed up damaged and ripped. Barbatos got around to fixing it before Levi could, and he hadn't even asked him to do so

It's just the idea of that Barb is so cool. Like cooler than anyone that Levi knows

He can bake, sew, he knows curses and spells, has wisdom on just about anything and everything--he's the cool type in dating sims. A kuudere, if you will, but even cooler

I don't think Levi has ever had a real crush on someone before. like don't get me wrong he has so many characters from his games and anime that he would do just about anything for, but I don't think he's really harbored those feelings for someone that is not in a computer screen

i like to think levi would then be so obvious about his crush on the butler, while the thinks he's being cool about it. everyone in a five mile radius knows about it lol

and ofc barbatos knows about it. like how could he not? levi isn't exactly secretive about it. the demon started to come over a lot more and try to find excuses to hang out with the butler

Barb humored him tho, because he did find him kinda cute. but more like in a way one would feel towards a sopping wet cat they found on the side of the street. he found it funny that levi was at times even willing to help him with things like baking or tending to the gardens, even when he wasn't good at either of those things

At some point it changed, though. Barbatos isn't sure when, but there is a point where it changes from him humoring Levi for the fun of it and into enjoying the other's company

Such an odd pair, tbh. They both know it but they are good for each other me thinks

Like??? As I've discussed Barb starts to genuinely enjoy Lev's company. He starts to laugh and smile more, acting less stoic even when Levi wasn't around

And Levi acting like a high school girl in love??? That's the good shit lol 💞💞 he is so much happier with life and the outside world and even came to terms with Barb being a normie! Because he is willing to learn <33

because!!! because Barb is open to learning about Levi's interests. Levi helps him interact kitchen (even though he isn't the best at baking) and he tends to the garden with him (even though he isn't all that knowledgeable on plants), and seeing as levi indulges in his hobbies, why not enjoy is free time in what levi likes?

Besides, levi just looks so happy when barb offers to play a game or watch an anime with him. and yeah barb fucking sucks ass at the games and has to politely ask levi to stop pausing on each frame of the episode in order to get through it all, but its the quality time together that counts

do you think about how lucifer and the others would feel? because i think about that all the time

like again levi isn't able to keep his crush secret at all so i imagine all his brothers (sans lucifer) try and help him out. like they drop heavy hints towards barb about how levi is interested in him while levi fights off the urge to call lotan out of sheer embarrassment in order to get them to stop

mammon so takes credit for those two getting together; levi was late for his first date because asmo wouldnt let him leave until he approved of his outfit; lucifer is holed away in his office, demonous in hand, trying not to think about his brother going out with diavolo's butler

like. i am sure diavolo would support it and would be extremely happy for barbatos that he found someone that makes him happy. but lucifer? he is speaking through gritted teeth of how happy he is for levi. he is definitely fine about this decision because his brother is a grown demon and can make his own decisions but he will be processing his feelings with a bottle or two (or three) of demonous later that night

and just....Levi being so awkward on the first few dates?? i mean im sure he will always be awkward when he's around Barb but like?? poor thing is a mess lmao

idk man something something barb brings such a huge comforting feeling to levi and levi gives barb a breath of fresh air into his life and something something they give strength to each other to leave comfort zones and live for something that makes them happy

It’s very weird to me how many people seem to view romantic shipping as a bad thing these days. I see so many “IT’S WEIRD TO ROMANTICALLY SHIP” posts anymore and it makes me feel strange.

I think there’s room for all types of shipping: platonic, romantic, and otherwise. I think it’s also silly to assume because you ship romantically, there is no friendship element. A good romance and healthy relationship should be based heavily in friendship, shouldn’t it? Is this my demi coming out? I can’t write romance if it isn’t based in a real connection between the people, who would’ve been friends if they weren’t romantically attached. I can’t see it at all.

I feel strange because I like to write romantic connections, based on friendship and real connections, just as much as I like to write platonic. I like both. I think both are very neat. I think connection is neat.
