Chairs screeching and plates clattering, a loud group of students sat down at the table Remus had previously eaten alone at. He’d been hoping to get some peace to go over his notes before the next lecture, but at this time of day the cafeteria was always crowded.

“And he kept calling himself Daddy,” one of them kept talking, animatedly and probably louder than would be necessary to be heard over the general bustling. ”Like, Daddy is gonna give it to you, and, tell me how bad you want Daddy’s cock, and I was just like ugh stop.” They rolled their eyes in a way that clearly spoke of disdain.

Remus pretended to be focused on his notes and his food, but he was glancing up out of the corner of his eyes to look at the person who was apparently talking about their latest conquest. Just from the way they dressed, which included a skirt, a mesh shirt, and a bright green oversized blazer, it was impossible to make out what gender they identified as.

They stole a handful of the couple’s French fries and shoved them in their mouth, earning them loud complaints. Again they completely ignored the couple and simply shook their head at the audacity of their one night stand.

“And he was like call me, and I was just like yeah, yeah, whatever. I deleted that number so quickly,” they added with a laugh.

They must have felt Remus looking because their eyes met for a brief moment before Remus quickly looked away, desperate to pretend he hadn’t been staring or listening. These people were cool and they knew it, which made them arrogant, the black haired one most of all. And cool, arrogant people were the sort to pick on the quiet loser people Remus was a part of.

A red-haired girl huffed. “Have you ever thought about being nicer?”

“Mhh.” They made a show of thinking about it. “No.”

They grinned sweetly at her. Remus wanted to roll his eyes.

“But if –“ she tried to argue, but a man with his arm around her shoulder interrupted her.

“You can’t stop Sirius from doing anything, babe. It’s useless to try.”

Remus almost scoffed.

“Exactly, Prongsie gets it.”

They high-fived each other and one of the girls changed the subject to upcoming lectures. Sirius’ eyes caught Remus’ once more before he returned his plate and left for the bathroom.

He was washing his hands when Sirius came in.

“A piss kink, really?” he asked drily, trying to keep the amusement out of his voice.

A huge, shit-eating grin grew on Sirius’ face as they shrugged. “I have to keep up an appearance.”

“But do you have to be so …” obnoxious about it, he wanted to say, but refrained from it because the answer was clearly yes.

“What? You’re telling me you don’t like to be called Daddy?” They blinked innocently, nearly pouting.

He huffed. “I don’t.”

They leaned in over his shoulder.

“Fuck me, Daddy,” they whispered close to his ear and Remus would keep pretending for the rest of his life that never affected him. After a few seconds and in a normal voice Sirius added, “We could also just tell them.”

Remus let out a sigh. “Not yet. I just … need a bit more time,” he said and felt bad about it because he knew how much Sirius’ friends meant to them. He just wasn’t ready yet.

“Whatever you say, baby, but I’m telling you they’ll love you. More than me probably. If anything, I should be the one worried that they’ll replace me with you.”

He looked up at the mirror to take in the sight of Sirius and himself next to each other.

“Soon,” he promised.

I have a lot of Thoughts about Delacy.

On detail that stood out to me was that Delacy doesn’t have a proper holster for his gun Rooster. This whole time I pictured him having a simple but nice holster that stood out from the straw hat and worn overalls, something that showed he spent what little money he had on his gun or that he got it someone in his home life like his father. But no, it’s homemade from scrapes of leather. Delacy left home with only the clothes on his back, his gun, three crumbled dollars, and a holster he made himself and then got on a train for the first time in his life while not even knowing if he needed a ticket to ride. Delacy ran away.

And after it all and he got his $2000, his home life and parents weren’t something he was in a rush to get back to. The idea of the group going their separate ways was upsetting to him. While he would like his parents to know if he died, he didn’t leave home with the intention of earning money to provide for his family and then returning home. (I would like to note, despite having parents, Delacy doesn’t use a last name. He’s only ever just Delacy, whereas all the other members of the posse have full names.)

While he doesn’t want to go home to his biological family, Delacy still wants a family and to be cared for. He found that with the posse. In the first episode, Delacy intimidated the saloon owner into giving him a bottle of whiskey, which he then found out tasted awful. In multiple instances after that, he requested whiskey or implied he drank it. But when the group was at the saloon after the bounties were done, he doesn’t force himself to drink whiskey because he thinks it’s gross and feels like he can acknowledge it aloud. During their adventure at the World’s Fair, Delacy felt safe enough to act his age with Edie. He’s excited to meet his hero. He takes Edie’s word seriously at the hall of oddities and assumes she has all the answers. It didn’t occur to him that she might not have all the answers to his questions. In their forced duel, trigger-happy Delacy refused to harm Nate and instead of pulling his gun, he sat down like a kid. He trust that the real Nate wouldn’t hurt him and they’d only known each for, what? A week? At Dead Man’s Worth, Garnet didn’t think Delacy was the kid of kid you could hug, but after the duel Nate picks him up into a hug. When Delacy first met the others, he’s putting on a forced act, pretending to be what he thinks an adult is (or acting how an adult in his life actually is, a heavy drinker that solves problems with aggression perhaps), but by the end, he feels safe enough around them and shows much more of his true personality and age.

While he is a bit of a cold killer and hasn’t fully developed an understanding of death yet, he still believes in honesty (see threatening a sideshow barker about the hand), justice in a way (people shouldn’t be lied to in any way and the hand should be buried with its proper owner) and is rather genuine when he feels like he can be. He was starstruck meeting Billy Joe and delighted to just catch a glimpse of Buckthorn the horse. He likes cotton candy and a gun tricks. He liked that Billy Joe liked cotton candy too (at least as far as he overheard). He didn’t even hesitate signing a contract when Billie Joe asked and only changed his mind when Edie reminded him of Nate. He takes what everyone he trusts says at face value (to the point of being ready to shoot someone due to a metaphor).

Delacy is young, naive, a bit dense, and ready to shoot, but he is, at his core, a good kid who just needed adults in his life that will encourage him to find less violent solutions and to act on his kindness in productive ways. Garnet and Nate have helped him learning more about interacting with people. Edie acknowledges his young age but still takes him seriously and trusts him and in the end, she offers him a way to use his shooting skills to help people. She takes him as her monster-hunting apprentice. Even Silas, who barely interacted with Delacy, grew to like the kid enough he would acknowledge Humble Ned (a devious, spindly legged beast, no matter how humble he is) as good people for Delacy’s sake.

Delacy might have left the farm with the help-wanted ad seeking adventure and fortune, but I think he found something he needed a lot more.

I don't understand why people claim Al*s is going to be the only person the !Show Aemond ever cared about. Like we already know he's a dutiful son. He's also very protective towards Helaena (he literally shields his sister with his own body when Rhaenys ruins Aegon's coronation). In addition, Aemond's twisted relationship with Aegon is really interesting. I'd also say he's a father figure to Helaena's kids (judging from their reaction to Alicent, calling for her father Otto ❤️). Imo it will be such a pity if they reduce the realm of Aemond's feelings and emotions to just obsessing over his love interest.

We have already seen Aemond in the first season: he takes care of his mother, Helaena, and children. I don't believe he will leave his family. Regarding Aegon, everything is complicated, Aemond demonstrates hostility (?) towards Aegon, there is no brotherly love between them (!). Relationship between Aegon and Aemond: "You may cuff him about as you wish at home, but in the world, we must defend our own" Sorry, but this is a fact. Perhaps everything will change in the second season? I really hope so.

Aemond doesn't abandon his family, not even in the book, I don't believe he did that, I think there's a lot left unsaid and unrevealed. Alicent said: "The city is yours, princess, but you won’t hold it for long. Rats play when the cat is away, but my son Aemond will return with fire and blood" Alicent knew her son better, and she knew that he would not leave her and Helaena. There must be a serious reason.

I don’t like the character Alys, I’m not sure that I will have a different relationship with the show Alys. She looks a lot like Mysaria. I think Alys mur***ed all her children to preserve her youth - that's what you read between the lines.

I can’t support alysmond because I don’t believe in this ship, I don’t believe that there was love between them. Aemond destroyed House Strong, just as Aegon the Conqueror destroyed the family of Harren Hoar. alysmond is a crack ship, as if Harren had a daughter who, after her family was destroyed, fell in love with Aegon and had a child with him (If Helaena had fallen in love with Daemon). Maybe "stockholm sy***ome"? The whole story of alysmond is like a rumor - a rumor that Alys spread to establish his power in Harrenhal. Why didn't she save Aemond if she knew he was going to die and did she love him? Because from Alys’s side, Aemond’s death is an excellent revenge for the house Strong.

I think Alys will manipulate Aemond by threatening his family that she saw them die. I think there will be a deal between Alys and Aemond: he will spare her life, and she will look to the future for him.

I also don't believe Alys's child is Aemond's. You know, it’s very strange that she didn’t contact Aegon to make her son heir and marry him to Jaehaera. Alys called her son king, “kneel before your king,” but did not fight for his rights. Maybe because he is not Aemond's son? Maybe because she used this child, and when she realized that she had lost, she mur***ed him to preserve her youth? There are a lot of questions.

The reason why HOTD doesn’t work is because the Dance of Dragons, while devastating and tragic, especially for women in terms of ruling and inheritance, is meant to set up the success of Dany’s arc (bringing back dragons and magic, reviving house targaryen, being queen regnant), but GOT ends with Dany’s failure and villainization. There will be no payoff after rhaenyra is killed during the war and no woman is allowed to sit the throne in her own right for the next 100+ years. Dany gets the throne for a day before being murdered in front of it. Then it goes to a dude who absolutely doesn’t deserve it. GOT has damned HOTD by fucking up the point of this event in ASOIAF history. So now we have the HOTD writers trying to retcon and shift the focus from “both sides were capable of doing some fucked up things, but ultimately this was a crime perpetrated by the greens against Rhaenyra that really ruined things for literally everyone” to “both sides were equally bad and wrong and everyone should’ve just gotten along.”
