Con's Characters Sexuality Discussion: There are two options here. He's 'gay' as described in the film's synopsis or more fluid in a modern sense. Again, he's willing to fuck her, and clearly cares for her. Who knows if he was 'pushing his limits' and this is why she turned him down. The I love you could be romantic/sexual love, or the love of a friend. Both readings are perfectly valid by the text. The short film ends here to not answer the question and keep it ambiguous.

I'm flipping between this movie being about their friendship and finding someone to be comfortable with, or two people used to having one night stands falling in love. You know what. Both are right! (As a queer who says I love you to my straight friends. Calls them beautiful and does all of the shit Con does here, yeah, the waters are murky, who said you alone need to filter it to solve the art)

I can see a happy ending where they grow to be close friends for the rest of their lives, or just making it a probably short-lived relationship. They're both young and impulsive and need to work on themselves a bit before getting serious, but I hope they can keep this little corner of the world safe.

Cinematography(7/10): Fun! About what to expect from a short film. Nonintrusive editing.

Actors besides Con (8/10): I LOVED THE BARMAID. God, she's so fucking sweet and just needs someone in her corner. She's fun, cocky, and bullheaded in a way that fit's with Con's character. I loved their friendship. I love that she's worried about that and doesn't want to push boundaries. I wish this was a longer movie, I want to see them learning to love themselves and having each other there. Everyone else was unmemorable.

CON! The Actor 10/10: He seems more comfortable in this role than in Dancing. It makes him a more likeable character. Likely due to the size of the project, and experience. He seems like he's found his groove here, and I wish we got to see more of it. Seeing him actually flirt was a joy. Again, personally, I think the 'I love you' could be from a gay 'bff' perspective or he genuinely loves her. I love that they just feel safe with each other which is clearly what they need. Love con's look, dialogue, and everything about how he held himself. He seemed like he really opened up to her verses how Con's character acted at the beginning of the movie. That can be really hard to pull off

Story 9/10: Really fucking fun. Sweet, they both felt stuck in a rut and finally made a friend that understood them. The dialogue/writing is so fucking inspiring as I try to write fun dialogue.

REWATCHABILITY: I would say that compared to the downers I watched yesterday, this overtakes Vengeance. It helps that it's so short.

9/10. I hate giving perfect 10s when I haven't seen everything, but god is this so close. I can totally see myself giving this a retroactive 10. Writing this overview I felt like I was balancing on a tight rope trying to 'figure out' the right ending. But that's kind of the point. The relationship they build is a comfort in a shitty world, and it's fucking beautiful.

I know people said it was sad, but I found it really hopeful? They're still living their shitty lives, but they're not alone anymore.

NEXT! Still plan on Cucumber, 3 steps to heaven for weird Con, and whatever I feel in the moment. Rewatching Blood brothers today with the Brother, so wish me luck.

C/Y/N: hey! Happy anniversary!!!

Cevyn: Thank you, lovelies!!!

She joins them on the couch as they indulge in some action movie.

Yelena: We know it was yesterday and Bucky couldn't be here.

Cevyn: it's fine, I told him I'd figure out what I wanted by the time he got back today.

They hum.

Out of nowhere, She decides to ask a question.

Cevyn: ...Ya'll remember when i was such a whore back in 2021?

Yelena: SUCH A WHORE!!!

Natasha: ABSOLUTELY, HOW THE HELL COULD WE FORGET!?!?

The girls talk over each other making Cevyn laugh, while Clint violently chokes and spits out his beer. Cevyn and Natasha tap him on his back.

Cevyn: Yo, you good?

Clint: *cough, cough* No, no!!! *cough* Im not good!! I- I dont think i should be listening to this!!!

Natasha and Yelena laugh. He tries to get off the couch but nat pulls him back down and crosses her legs over top of his motioning Cevyn to do the same to keep him there. She lays her head in Yelena's lap.

Natasha: Sit down, she was a menace last year. youll wanna hear this!

He gives up. Sounds like good tea any damn way. (We all know Clint is one of the girls!!!)

Yelena: Cevy, what happened?

Cevyn: well after my 2 year relationship failed, i decided to have some... fun. Safe fun.

Natasha: Yeah, a WHOLE year worth of 'fun'.

Clint: that asswhole cheated on you didnt he?

Cevyn: yup

Clint sighs.

Clint: Why didnt you call me?

Cevyn: Cause i handled it... no ones gonna miss him.

Nat sighs and rubs her temples at the very fond memories of the year before.

Cevyn side-eyes him at the use of her government name.

Clint: what the hell?!?! Didnt you have missions???

She smirks as Yelena burst out laughing.

Cevyn: yup, i called upon him a couple of times. It was also more ladies than guys.

Yelena calms down from damn near dying.

Yelena: WHAT?!?! ARE YOU SAYING I COULDVE BEEN ONE OF THEM?!?!

Cevyn: im sorry baby, and it was only 364. I didnt have anybody on new years eve.

Yelena mumbles.

Cevyn sits up and kisses her cheeks.

Flashback: Tony's Avengers ONLY New years eve pajama party 2021

(For once Tony didn't want a hell of a lot of people around.)

The party was BANGIN'!!! It was getting close to midnight, There was tons of liquor, everybody was dancing, Cevyn got so drunk she gave a full on lipsync concert. After that, she walked into the kitchen to grab some water.

When she walked in she saw her best friend Bucky and the one shady bitch she could never stand: Sharon. It seriously bothered her that bucky would choose that thing to date out of any woman in the world, which she reminded Buck daily about.

Theres a reason why Cevyn hates Sharon. Before Cevyn's last relationship, she caught the bitch sucking him off. After that, Sharon tried to act as if nothing ever happened. (Tryna be her friend and shit, bitch you know what the fuck you did!)

Finally, when she gave up and started dating Buck, Cev plotted her revenge. If bitches feel that they can take and play the delusional card, two can play that game. She walks over, purposely bumping Sharon out of the way to stand on her tiptoes wrapping her arms around his neck and planting a loving kiss on Bucky's cheek.

Bucky: Hi Cevy.

Cevyn: Hi Bucket.

Sharon scoffs as he wraps his arms around her voluptuous body, damn near feeling her up. He returns the kiss close to the corner of her mouth, a sight Sharon doesn't miss.

She shoves Cev out of the way. Cevyn was about to swipe Sharon across her face but Bucky caught her wrist and turned her around slowly.

As she opens the fridge she mumbles about how she was gonna snatch this hoe up by the hair on the nape of her neck and slang her on the floor resulting in dog walking her like the bitch she is.

Bucky: Sharon, the hell did you do that for?

Sharon: Oh, when she does it theres no problem, but when i do it there is?

Bucky scoffs, making Cev turn around snickering.

Bucky: Oh god, im not doing this with you.

Sharon walks away damn near on the brink of tears, which no one cares about. Bucky lets her go, reaching to grab a cupcake from the cake tower. As he grabs it, frosting gets on his metal thumb. Before he can grab a napkin, Cevyn takes his hand.

Cevyn: Dont worry, baby. Ill lick it up

Bucky: Its okay- oh shit!

Hes cut off as she latches her soft, plump lips around the tip of his thumb, gently sucking the tip. She pulls back with a pop that echos throughout the kitchen, even though the music is pretty loud.

Cevyn: What was that?

Bucky stumbles over his words trying to get out of the trance shes put him in.

Bucky: I-I- I dont-

Keeping eye contact, she kitten licks his thumb. She plays confused while smirking.

Cevyn: You dont what, baby? Whats wrong?

He continues to stammer and look between her eyes and her tongue rounding circles on his thumb, placing it back in her mouth.

Bucky turns his head, not so concerned about the situation at hand. Hes had a thing for Cev for a long time. But he made the mistake of dating Sharon to take his mind off of her. He smiles at her, picks up Cevyn wrapping her legs around his waist, walking out of the kitchen.

Cevyn: Paybacks a bitch, aint it?

Bucky: We're done Sharon.

Cevyn laughs. Bucky gets in the elevator.

Cevyn: where we going?

Bucky: To our floor. Where im gonna fuck you SENSELESS and make you cum so hard while we count down. Is that alright with you mama?

As Nat and Yelena clapped and cheered, Clint sat puzzled.

I think in early season/weecest era, they're not quite ready to talk about what this really is. Also, and I may accept one or two thrown tomatoes for this (but not that many tomatoes), they're not as fully like... In Love yet in those early years. I mean they're babies! Babies can't be in love, they gotta learn to walk and stuff first. So even if they were hooking up in say s2, I can for sure see them still picking up women bc that's what they do, and maybe picking up a spare guy here or there just... to see, if it's different or if they like it or w/e. (That part mostly from Sam; Dean [esp former s.w. Dean who is neeeearly canon] has already sowed those oats and knows what he likes.)

Mid years, there's a lot of Drama. Sam steps out with Ruby, Dean's got the Anna departure all of a sudden, there's a lot of 'holy shit the world's ending' -- then there's the Lisa thing and the Amelia thing and the Benny thing, and you know, my fave version of wincest even in established relationship which is Tha Best is that all of those things happen, because -- that's where the strength of the relationship is! In making it through those things and realizing over and over that they want to make the one choice, the best choice: the incest choice.

But then, you know. They're married. They're happy. They have cozy date nights where Dean complains that Sam is making the bunker toxic with cauliflower farts. And then -- hell, if they meet a super cool chick at a bar and she's eyeing them with bicurious pleasure, or some bangin' twink looks like he could devour Sam with his eyes -- why not? And not necessarily just sharing; in the truest most devoted period of e.g. post 15.19, if Sam meets some woman and she's hot as fuck and he gets an unexpected pang of pussy-stalgia? I can see him texting Dean a picture and Dean going hot damn, go for it, give me details later tonight. Because what does it matter? They'll have a nice time, and then Sam will come right back home, and Dean will ask if she had nice tits. (The answer is yes.)

since I'm relatively new to fandom I'm mostly picking through the classics (in terms of gen), mostly through this very helpful masterlist by @lan-ri. there's a MASSIVE section on there filled with just s1 stuff, but my fav is a pre-series fic called Stop Hitting Yourself by Rokhal - baby Sam meets his scary ~s5 self. it's sick as FUCK. the way they write Sam and Dean's upbringing + John's character is VERY complex and smart, plus the writing in general is just bangin. like everything i read, it's Sam-centric :)

in terms of insert, i don't have any specific fics off the top of my head (besides copious amounts of smut, but that's for another post). but I've been reading a ton of @thinkinghardhardlythinking and @there-must-be-a-lock, who are both great authors with great fics!! i'll start an actual rec list tho as i collect them :)

Despite the fact that the chronology has firmly established Sarah as 89 years old at this point, we get a slightly different version of a story we've already seen where Abraham and company roll up to a new kingdom, Abraham says Sarah is his sister instead of his wife, and the local king has Sarah "brought to him." This time instead of a plague afflicting the household the wombs of the king's "wife and slave girls were closed." This is fixed when the king realizes his mistake and throws Sarah, along with some livestock and slaves, back at Abraham as an I'm-sorry-please-go-away settlement.

I think Sarah was infertile do to an STD. It's pretty clear her issues spread to others when she sleeps with people. Also, please debate in the comments whether these are clearly episodes from when Sarah was younger or she genuinely was the hottest post-menopausal woman ever to walk the earth. So hot at any age that Abraham was afraid strangers would kill him in order to steal his absolutely bangin' wife.

Also, uh. Abraham defends his lie "she's my sister" because it isn't a lie. He asserts he and Sarah have the same father, though different mothers. This is not depicted as a problem. The lying yes, but the incest, no. Fucking your half-sister will later be declared a hard no.

Also... the timeline is, as always, unclear. But God tells Sarah she's gonna have a baby this time next year. i.e. God showing up isn't what impregnated her. Nor, based on the infertility outbreak she causes a minute later, did God actually fix her when they interacted. I'm just saying the timeline as presented opens the possibility that that second king was the real father. I think that's why the king insists so hard he didn't fuck her but that has to be an edit because the rest of the story makes NO sense if he didn't fuck her. Might also explain how Isaac and his kids all have normal sized heads and 10 toes. Obviously this was not what the original canon was trying to communicate but the problems that stitching these myths together causes are too good to ignore.
