Just watch the sunset
and listen to the wind,
in peaceful silence.
hear the voice within
...
Take this moment,
it’s all that i can give.
A tearless farewell as
my last gift.

Starve! Do we deserve
This attitude that burns us whole?
Cry! Do we observe
Our sanity's tremendous fall
Low, we sink
High, we fly
Every time
We fail

for those unaware, i'm one of the mods of the blackgaze subreddit. since 2018, i've been making spotify playlists with notable releases each year.
here's a link to the 2023 spotify playlist.
i also converted the playlist to youtube (a couple songs may be missing due to conversion errors).
for bandcamp users, i included all the track info and bandcamp links on this google document.
thanks for listening :)

Sometimes you don't know how to deal with what you encounter. In the end, you have to stand in front of this massive amount of wonder and amazement and look at this beauty to the end and think about how it could build a world that is so amazing and pristine.
1476's In Exile is amazing and pristine.

Forever haunted by failure
I, the mirror won't let them be
Contribution to their abuse, my only use
A once trusted faith, inverted
Defiled, beaten, molested
A deep fear to whisper in your ear
It will follow you in your sleep
You will feel it inside your dreams
Transformed underworld, tranquil without light
Blessed are the sins of the night (which father do you feel?)
A dark red shadow of hate remains
(Any arrogance begins to fade, for trauma will always linger, another weakling has been made)
