Some TCWGANV Zyggeria doodles I guess. I just did a random number generator for some TCWGANV inspired art and got chapter 18.
The first image is Grim cursing someone out. The second one is Obi-Wan stopping Grim from cursing someone out. And the third one is Grim sassing Dooku.

Do you see Anakin cheating on Padme at some point?
Someone made a post a while back I think that said something along the lines of cheating on his spouse being the one sin Anakin might actually NOT commit, and I'm inclined to agree.
There's never really any indication that Anakin would cheat on Padme, that he's ever even been interested in anybody else BUT Padme since he was 9 years old. He betrays her in just about every other way it is possible to do so, but that's one betrayal he never shows even a hint of.
I think part of it is that Anakin is very intense about his relationships, he wants complete loyalty from his partners and he does seem to sort-of be willing to give the same in return. If Padme is his wife, then she is his wife and he will never look at another woman. The closest we ever get to anything otherwise is in the Zyggeria arc where he's pretending to flirt with the Queen, but I don't think either of them would've counted pretending to flirt a little with someone Anakin is planning to betray from the outset as "cheating."
So no, I don't really see Anakin cheating on Padme because he basically revolves his entire life around that relationship, he has no real interest in moving on to someone else.

Okay so my math was wrong on the last post so I deleted it AND I do know things like this are entirely for dramatic effect BUT
Using Rex's throw in the zyggeria arc, the rough size of the office, and the fact he penetrated bone with a blunt electrostaff to calculate the force in newtons he exerted
And using the average fastball as a metric for baseline humans' throwing capabilities
Then a ratio of push force:throw solving for the average push force of clones gives us the conclusion that the clones are roughly 335.4x stronger than the average baseline human
Which means they should each be able to deadlift a minimum of 55k pounds, using the untrained 135lb average for a 200lb man
An LAAT/i weighs roughly 30k pounds at capacity
So Wrecker lifting the ship off Cody should be a light workout for any of them

Random train of thought on mentors, protagonists, “Weapons Factory” and “Old Friends Not Forgotten”
I wrote this ‘bout half a year ago, and even then, the “Weapons Factory” episode has plenty of amazing meta written about it on Tumblr. Finally decided to update and post it when I noticed something while rewatching Season 7. For other takes on this subject, check out these: Lumi’s meta on “Weapon’s Factory”. JediMasterBailey’s meta on “Weapons Factory”.
Wrong protagonists & the mentor archetype
Stories gotta have conflict. “Character wants something and something is in their way so they need to overcome that obstacle in order to get what they want.”
Good way to have conflict in your story is giving your protagonist a flaw they need to overcome.
Sometimes, that flaw is glaring, and the protagonist is outright wrong. When they realize they were wrong, we see that realization as a pay-off usually in a later scene. Examples of this in Star Wars:
Tumblr media
From the moment he puts on the mask, Vader acts as if Anakin Skywalker is dead and there’s no way back for him from the darkness. When his son lays his life out on the line to save him, he realizes he must do the same to protect him and overcomes his inner darkness.
In TLJ, Luke firmly believes the Jedi should die out for the good of the galaxy. He realizes that’s a load of crap, and gets back in the fight.
Most of the time we see a Jedi Master... they’re not the protagonist. Usually, the protagonist is someone who isn’t a Jedi quite yet, someone young, who hasn’t arced yet, a learner.
So the archetype the Jedi fill more frequently is that of the wise mentor, someone who has already become the best version of themselves, and is now helping the protagonist with their arc.
The Jedi are Gandalf, Dumbledore, Jiminy Cricket... the voice of reason.
Tumblr media
So, most of the time, when we’re seeing the Jedi (who strive to overcome their flaws), we’re seeing them from the eyes of flawed characters.
Like Anakin.
Anakin, Luminara & the lesson of “letting go”
Seeing as Anakin is our protagonist, he’s our lead POV character in most of the scenes we see the Jedi. We’re seeing events through his eyes.
And it’s easy to do because he’s flawed, and guess what, he’s emotional too… but we - the viewers - are also flawed and emotional. So any scene with him and the Jedi in it, we’re instantly gonna relate more to him than to the Jedi because we make an emotional connection with him.
He’s angry at the Jedi? If the writers do their job right, we’ll empathize and be angry too.
He feels they’re dispassionate and dogmatic? We will feel that too.
But if you look at things objectively... most of the time he’s in the wrong. Or at least he’s not following the rules correctly. And if he does learn, it’s temporary. After all, this is the guy who ends up becoming Vader. As Dave Filoni puts it:
“The challenge for us, creatively, is that unfortunately we can never solve any of [Anakin’s] problems fully. We can present them, we can start him to a path of understanding and hope that the audience understands that which the character of Anakin Skywalker cannot. That he can never take the final full step to being this more enlightened person, because he keeps getting pulled back down.” - Dave Filoni,
The Clone Wars:
“The Slaves of Zyggeria” video commentary, 2012
In this case, let’s take the Jedi rule of “letting go” of attachments.
In Anakin’s mind, “letting go” (accepting that there are things beyond your control ) is synonymous with “giving up”. Which isn’t the case, for a Jedi. To them, it’s a sign of maturity, not weakness or carelessness.
This is perfectly illustrated in the TCW episode “Weapons Factory”.
In the episode, Ahsoka and Barris are trapped beneath rubble, and are slowly dying from the lack of oxygen.
Tumblr media
Above the ground, Anakin and Luminara search for them, but it’s pointless because the area to cover is large and they have no idea where the two Padawans are.
Like, here’s the facts:
They can sense that their Padawans are slowly dying beneath the debris.
Locating them is impossible.
None of the ships, troops and equipments will be able to dig around enough to find them in time.
The two Padawans are as good as dead, and whether they do make it out alive is beyond Anakin and Luminara’s control, and entirely up to the Padawans’ own resourcefulness.
And Anakin is basically getting angry at Luminara for prematurely mourning her apprentice, saying that she’s already given up on her Padawan, but he won’t give up on Ahsoka, no sir!
The interesting thing is that we feel what Anakin is saying, and most of the audience watching agrees with Anakin. Like, anybody I talk to about this episode remembers it as “oh yeah, Luminara didn’t give a fuck and was willing to let her Padawan die”:
But if you look at the scene objectively?
You can see that Luminara is very saddened by this.
Tumblr media
But as opposed to Anakin, who is just pacing around going “what-do-I-do what-do-I-do what-do-I-do what-do-I-do”... she is getting ready to accept Barris’ sacrifice.
Tumblr media
And Anakin hears this as “oh I’m just giving up and you should too”. When that’s not really the case. Anakin is completely right to care and to not give up on Ahsoka. But she’s talking about a completely different thing, they’re not on the same wavelength.
He’s talking about saving them... whereas she’s emotionally readying herself for the eventuality that they can’t. She’s not saying “stop looking for them”, she’s saying “it might not be enough”.
Again, those Padawans are as good as dead. Fact.
And then Ahsoka changes that fact by letting out that signal and letting them know that “yo, we’re here!”
Tumblr media
Anakin and Luminara immediately and simultaneously go “oh shit they’re there!” and free them.
Tumblr media
We even see Luminara react to the emerging Padawans before Anakin.
Tumblr media
And that’s what a Jedi does.
She doesn’t shut out her emotions, so much as she looks at the facts and accepts them. The second the facts changed, she reacted at the same time as Anakin. The only difference was that she wasn’t losing her shit.
She isn’t talking about “giving up” or “not caring”, it’s about duty and pragmatism over hotheadedness. It’s about being ready to let go when there’s nothing else to do.
And one thing that I’d like to point out is that, while the episode is about having faith in your students, its narrative allows Luminara to make a fair point and get the last word.
Tumblr media
Anakin may not understand it or agree with it, in this episode, but he soon will in the next season.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, right there... the over-arching narrative is that Anakin has trouble letting go and accepting his own limits... and eventually he makes a meaningful first step towards being able to do that.
At the end of this post, there’s a quote where Lucas basically goes into the fact that, as a mentor, at some point the only thing you can do is hope you’ve trained your student the best you can, hope they’ll use your knowledge well, and let them go on their own path.
Anakin’s teachings got Ahsoka out of the rubble, on Geonosis.
Anakin’s teachings helped Ahsoka survive the Trandoshan hunters.
So not only were the mentor figures correct... slowly the protagonist is arcing and becoming one of them.
As mentioned before, though... it’s temporary. Overcoming your flaw doesn’t mean doing so forever.
Tumblr media
The difference between this and Season 7
Skip to season 7, and we have another situation where the mentor figure is questioned:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But this time... the narrative doesn’t allow Obi-Wan to really make a meaningful point beyond “that’s not fair”.
In the dialogue, they acknowledge that Ahsoka isn’t trying to be, but we don’t see her come around to thinking “yeah, maybe I was childishly oversimplifying an incredibly complex situation”.
Just like Anakin in “Weapons Factory”, she’s emotionally framed as being morally right... but in this case, it’s left at that. There is no payoff, there is no realization, there is no moment of self-reflection.
She’s right, and that’s it.
And, lucky for her, the galaxy’s geo-political situation becomes much more black and white, following Order 66, so she’s not about to be put in as difficult a scenario as Obi-Wan and Anakin were, the day Coruscant was being attacked.
So... what changed?
Obi-Wan’s argument isn’t any less rational than Luminara’s or Plo Koon’s... yet for some reason we’re supposed to emotionally side with the irrational one? It feels a bit forced.
Am I missing something here? Why is the mentor framed as right before, but in Season 7, for seemingly no reason... they’re not?

Anakin and Ahsoka are both lost in the music, elbows locked, jumping in rhythm, arms and legs going everywhere. His brown curls appear golden under the ship’s artificial lights, bouncing on his shoulders like tiny little dancers of their own. Her lekku follow the same pattern, sliding on her back, probably overwhelmed by sound and vibration. He sings. She laughs.
They are ridiculous. Obi-Wan loves them.

50k, 45/45, Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, Jim Moriarty, Mycroft Holmes, Greg Lestrade, Molly Hooper, Recovery, TRIGGER WARNING: R/NC
The bomb exploded, and Sherlock was kidnapped in the immediate aftermath of the Great Game. Moriarty has come up with a plan to discredit him, and it works perfectly: everyone believes that Sherlock wanted to have sex with Moriarty, and it's turned his life upside down. He doesn't fully understand what happened, and Moriarty is still out there - and he's making promises to come back.
But now that John, Lestrade and Mycroft have found out the truth, they're going to do everything they can to protect Sherlock and give Moriarty what he deserves. The real question is whether or not they can ever make it up to Sherlock.

Thanks Anon! Question from those asks. Bold of you to not specify what fandom you want! I'll give you a bit of Ahsoka & Tarkin! Yes I'm still working on it!!
7. Post a snippet from a wip.
Ahsoka watches Tarkin pace from behind the one way window of the small medbay. He walks from one end of the room to the other and back, bare feet silent on the lino floor, gait predatory, shoulders rolling as if he could shrug off the bacta bandages sticking to his skin.
His gaze is cast down, his focus turned inward. His emotions are cold—like this place, redolent of blood and pus, veiled by the acrid tang of antiseptic. Life and death and cleaning agents. His thoughts are erratic, his past a tale interrupted, shreds of memories scattered and mysterious, like the countless scars crisscrossing his skin.
Ahsoka squints, curious. She's no strangers to scars. At twenty years old she's a war veteran, and her robes hide a respectable collection. She has the burns of blaster bolts, gouges from a Zygerrian's claws across her back, left to fester while she hung in a cage on Zyggeria. A bite mark from a critter on Felucia that somehow hadn't reacted to bacta and bothered her for weeks. Countless cuts and scratches from her time in Trandoshan captivity, where bacta hadn't been an option at all.
This is the sort of scars Tarkin wears. The stripes and markings of someone without access to bacta. Many look decades old, faded and stretched by growth. A child's pain.

Friendly Reminder
The Zyggeria Arc, chronologically, happens very soon after Umbara. Pour one several dozen out for Rexy Boy bc #Yikes.
Just imagine. Umbara. It was supposed to be okay. Skywalker would find some hare-brained-but-feasible plan to pull this thing off, and Rex would leave with most of his forces still intact, as per the norm of war. But no. Krell arrives. Rex loses countless men to death march after death march under a general who didn't even use their names. He walks his men into a trap where they kill clones for no reason other than Krell Wanted Them Dead.
And then.
Fucking then he goes to Zyggeria. Just him and the two generals and the commander. Maybe the 501st is on leave while they recover from the hell that was Umbara, but not him. No, Rex goes with, and he ends up with a shock collar on, forced to perform hard labor under a whip, watching more people suffer and die around him and not even Obi-Wan Kenobi can do anything about it.
Sure, they got everyone out, the Wolfpack and General Koon arrived to rescue the togrutas, and Rex goes back to the 501st. He's a mess. He had to be. There's no way to be normal about the two things he's been through, no matter the training you have or the genetic programming installed. And the men notice, because how could they not notice? So they step in.
Fives and Appo can handle the paperwork for a while, and maybe Cody helps them when he finds out what they're doing. Jesse can keep the troops in line and help Fives with regular training. Kix has a medic's excuse to keep a close eye on Rex, and they all have a rotating cuddle schedule until Rex can sleep on his own again.
Summary: LET HIM REST FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET HIM REST 😭
Come suffer with me @fivesarmor @fivesarctrooper @darth-void @thechaoticfanartist @soclonely @mrfandomwars

"don't move. I'll get your bath ready" for obi and baby ani?? or the clone wars era cause im eager to see embarrassed obi wan
one semi-embarrassed obi-wan coming right up, anon!! // from these prompts
“Here we go,” Anakin said, propping Obi-Wan against the wall. He wiped at the leftover vomit on the corner of Obi-Wan’s mouth, ignoring the way Obi-Wan’s eyes lowered. “It’s okay—I’ve seen lots worse before.”
“Shouldn’t…see—”
“Please,” Anakin said, pausing. He looked at Obi-Wan. “Like you haven’t seen me like this before.” He threw the towel aside. “Remember my eighteenth? Also, the worst birthday ever?”
“I told you that you shouldn’t…have drank that,” Obi-Wan said, shivering. He swallowed, tilting his head against the wall.
Anakin’s smile faded. Obi-Wan’s breathing had gone shallow, sweat slipping down from his hair and into his collar.
“Okay,” Anakin said. “Just…” He looked backwards to the tub. “Don’t move. I’ll get your bath ready.”
Obi-Wan made an indignant sound.
“Relax,” Anakin said. “I won’t look.”
He stood up, turned the nozzles. He waited until the water was warm enough. He looked back at Obi-Wan once, whose eyes had closed again.
“Hey,” Anakin said. “Don’t sleep—I don’t want you to drown.”
Obi-Wan opened his eyes, and Anakin expected—wanted—him to say something snarky in return, but Obi-Wan just stared.
Anakin turned back around to the tub. He tested the water—warm, not burning, but at least comfortable enough.
He slipped away from the edge of the tub and sat down next to Obi-Wan. “Think you can manage?” he asked. “Or…”
“I can manage,” Obi-Wan said. He started up, nearly fell back down. Anakin grabbed Obi-Wan’s shoulder to steady him.
“Anakin,” Obi-Wan said, pained. “You might—”
“Yeah, I know,” Anakin said hastily. He let go of Obi-Wan only after making sure that his former master could stand by himself. He walked to the door and slipped out.
He turned around only once, just in time to see the scars on Obi-Wan’s back.
He let the door close.

aaaah top 5 ridiculous clone wars moments GO
OKAY HERE WE GO. (I’m in the middle of rewatching TCW with my little brothers so the early seasons are fresher in my mind, that’s probably going to impact this list lol)
1. Anakin and Padme being the most freaking obvious people in the literal galaxy.- I know we give Anakin a lot of crap for not being able to lie, but in the Senate Crisis episode, not only does Padme show Bail that she has Anakin’s lightsaber, she straight up cradles him while he’s unconscious, WHILE SURROUNDED BY HER FELLOW SENATORS. Padme, honey, you’re supposed to be smarter than this.
2. Rex banging his head on that pole in the one episode- Rex is one of the most competent clones in the GAR (and in the whole show, let’s be honest), and he just walks straight into the pole? And then is like “Switch to night vision!” Rex it was already pitch black why wasn’t your night vision already on. I love this man so much
3. Rex getting thrown off the wall by Anakin and Ahsoka- Yes, he’s on here twice. I just recently watched this episode, and this was so funny. His yell? Hilarious. And then- “Next time, just tell me to jump.” Followed by Anakin’s “Now where’s the fun in that?” is just hilarious. This is also made funnier because of the one scene in the Bad Batch where he goes, “No, not again!” as Wrecker throws him. Comedy gold.
4. “So I says to her, ‘Baby, you and me could really-’” “You never even met a girl.”- This one needs no explanation. Hands down one of the funniest lines in the show.
5. “Unhand me BRIGAND!”- The Zyggeria arc was messed up in so so many ways, but this line and Anakin and Ahsoka’s faces afterwards is just priceless. Anakin’s look of just like “ahsoka what the heck was that” and her little side glance is perfect

rage against the night and beneath the skin for the wip ask? :D
oh yes of course! thank you for asking friend! ☾ ask me about my WIPs
rage against the night is a WIP that I haven’t posted yet (but i will soon i swear) and it’s basically a story that focuses mostly on Ahsoka! Anakin goes missing and Ahsoka is the only one who thinks that he’s still alive. He’s trying to send her messages and signs about where he is, but everyone else thinks that she’s just trying to reach for something that isn’t there. It’s based off of the movie interstellar, which is where the title comes from! during the movie, the poem do not go gentle into that good night is repeated several times, and the line ‘rage, rage against the dying of the night’ is what inspired the title for this story
beneath the skin!!! omg i just updated this fic and i have thoughts and feelings about it. the story is a total zyggeria AU where Anakin and Ahsoka are kidnapped before the mission really starts. Obi-Wan and Rex are trying to operate and complete their part of the mission, but they can’t because they have no idea what’s happened to Anakin and Ahsoka. The story starts out as being very Ahsoka centric and most of it is in her pov at first. honestly this fic has some (a lot of) spite in it because i am tired about hearing about Obi-Wan in regards to zyggeria. Obi-Wan is valid, but I seriously think that arc should have been about Anakin and Ahsoka. and so this is me making that into a fanfic.

Kass Kyral
Tumblr media
I made a Mandalorian OC! She’s a Zygerrian lady who despises most members of her own species. Kass Kyral is the adopted daughter of Jarik and Demaia of clan Kyral. Her clan’s crest (unless I figure out a better one) is a stylized varactyl. The crest’s design might change some tho, this one is just a concept. She’s a sassy 27 year old who is usually pretty chill, but will hurt you if you give her a reason to. Kass was found as a baby, so she has no recollection of her birth parents, and frankly has no desire to know them because she despises her people’s culture of owning and selling slaves. One thing she commonly does is sneak into the Zygerrian slave markets and free a bunch of the slaves, especially children. Needless to say, she has a rather large bounty on her head on Zyggeria.
Also, the bottom edges on her ear guards are sharp and are used as weapons when she has no other options.
I’ll post more info on here at some point, but I don’t have time to type out more right now.

AMY'S DAILY FICS REC
Or, the fancy pansy fics I read yesterday. Today featuring Narnia, Teen Wolf and BBC Sherlock
*Growing Up - sheldrake
2k, 1/1, Lucy Pevensie/Caspian, Susan Pevensie, Lucy Pevensie, Loss, Ageing
Do you remember being grown-up?
Very lovely, with an emotional punch.
*time - katierosefun
4k, 1/1, Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Post- Zyggeria, Hurt Obi Wan Kenobi, Hurt/Comfort
Or: the aftermath of Zyggeria. Anakin sees everyone's scars.
Short but with one hell of a kick. If you like Anakin's relationship with Obi Wan, this is for you
*Deja Vu - likingthistoomuch
5k, 1/1, Sherlolly, WII Setting, Angst with a Happy Ending
It was her eyes that brought him back.
A nice Sherlolly fic. I really liked the prose in this one, it felt like reading Austen.
*start a war - 8611
1k, 1/1 Sterek, Lydia Martin, Alternate Universe - Mythology
This is how it all starts: she dares him to start a war.
For something so short, this fic was incredible. I loved it.
*13, 19, 38 - PilcrowPillow
13k, 3/3, Viclock, Johnlock, Sherlock centric, Friends to Lovers, First Time, Happy Ending
Three vignettes of Sherlock’s life that take place when he is (roughly) 13, 19, and 38 years old, respectively, each dealing with Sherlock’s experiences and thoughts regarding sex and romance. The last one takes place during some vague post-S3 timeline when Mary is out of the picture, though there’s no mention of what happens to her in this story.
Uffff, just ufffff
*Sense of Innocence - tenderly_wicked
4k, 1/1, Johnlock, Dubcon, BDSM, Angst
A violent row evolves into angry sex, and Sherlock – the one who’s been pinned down to his bed and thoroughly dealt with – is more than happy with this turn of events. But it seems that John isn’t.
This fic is not going to be for everyone, of course. It has dubcon and a John I don't see reflected much in fandom. There's a happy ending, and John isn't a monster, but there is "violent" sex. Personally, I liked it.

Perhaps "careful care" with anyone you want? :)))
of course!! thank you for the prompt, emma!! // from these prompts
careful care: it’s hard for obi-wan to accept help. anakin knows which care methods are “acceptable”.
Anakin knew that it would be bad—he just hadn’t thought this bad, especially with Obi-Wan flinching at too-bright lights, anything that sounded even remotely like a hiss.
Just a few days—that was what a few days did.
Anakin listened to Obi-Wan cough and heave from the refresher. Whatever the Zygerrians had given their prisoners—slaves—couldn’t have been good, and now, after a few days, it seemed that Obi-Wan and everyone else was puking it back up.
Anakin walked to the refresher door. Knocked on it once, just to let Obi-Wan know he was coming in.
The heaving didn’t stop, and when Anakin opened the door, he found—not to his surprise—that the light had been dimmed at least by half. It didn’t matter—that was fine.
Obi-Wan looked up unsteadily. “Anakin,” he started.
“Yeah.” Anakin said. “Me.”
He turned to the sink. Pulled up a towel, ran it through with water.
He turned back around to Obi-Wan, who wasn’t making eye contact with him.
Anakin swallowed back a sigh. He sat down across from Obi-Wan and extended the towel to him. “Let me know if you want it warmer or colder,” Anakin said as Obi-Wan took it. “I know you can do it yourself, but—just in case—”
Obi-Wan’s eyebrows drew together briefly, and then he nodded.
Anakin focused on tiled floor as Obi-Wan wiped at his mouth. He noticed the slightest twitch in Obi-Wan’s leg. He wondered how long Obi-Wan had been in here—probably for longer than either of them would have liked.
Anakin walked out of the refresher. He walked into the living room, snagged two cushions off the couch. He returned, held them out for Obi-Wan. “Which one?”
When Obi-Wan stared at him blankly, Anakin nodded to the floor. “It’s hard,” he said. “And cold. So which one?”
“You don’t…” Obi-Wan’s voice was rough.
Anakin kept the pillows extended.
Obi-Wan sighed, then pointed to the one in Anakin’s right.
Anakin passed the pillow over.
Obi-Wan took it.
Neither of them moved for a while, but that was okay.
“Thank you.”
“Welcome.”

Any prompt you want, just more post-zyggeria fluff
of course! i decided to go with the prompt “i can’t believe you’re still standing”, because i think that’s one that hasn’t been chosen yet. // from these prompts
“I can’t believe you’re still standing,” Anakin said, glancing over at Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan smiled weakly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said, and even though his tone was light, Anakin still heard the slight catch in his voice. “I’ve certainly suffered worse.”
Anakin just looked at Obi-Wan. “Uh-huh,” he said, but the longer Anakin looked at Obi-Wan—really looked at Obi-Wan, the more bruises and cuts he could find. Like the smallest cut under his eye, the purpling bruise on his cheek, the green and yellow that trapped itself around Obi-Wan’s throat.
“Come on,” Anakin said, setting his hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder. Lightly—he didn’t want to jostle him anymore than he needed to be. “We should get all that…”
Anakin’s voice drifted. Even through Obi-Wan’s tunic—which, never mind, it was wearing thin anyways, Anakin could feel a stifling, disturbing heat that seemed to radiate from…everywhere. From Obi-Wan.
“Obi-Wan,” Anakin said. Ignoring Obi-Wan’s protest, he moved his hand up to the side of Obi-Wan’s neck—lightly, lightly—before gingerly pushing it up to Obi-Wan’s forehead. “You’re…how long? Actually, don’t answer that—I don’t want to know.”
Obi-Wan just shook his head. “It’s…not as bad as it seems.”
Anakin looked at Obi-Wan. His eyes were already starting to close, and Anakin realized with a start that he had been holding on this whole time—this whole time—
“Hang on,” Anakin said urgently. He looked around for one of the medics. Anakin couldn’t even carry him to the medbay himself, too scared to make what Anakin knew would worsen the pain from one of his many injuries. “Obi-Wan—just sit down—no, hang on—”
Just at that simple permission, Obi-Wan’s knees had already buckled.
Anakin caught Obi-Wan, slowing the fall. He gathered Obi-Wan into a semi-sitting position and, ignoring Obi-Wan’s low groan, shouted, “Medic here! Now!”
Anakin looked back down at Obi-Wan. “You’re going to be fine, okay? Master? Obi-Wan?”
“Don’t shout,” Obi-Wan murmured. He opened his eyes, smiled again—just a slight one, just enough for Anakin to relax the slightest.
“You collapsed just now,” Anakin said, trying to keep his voice steady. “Sorry if I’m not exactly calm about this.”
Forcing out a short laugh, he added, “At least one of us has to…not be calm all the time.”
“Well…” Obi-Wan closed his eyes. “If you so insist.”
Anakin sighed. “I do insist,” he muttered, looking up. The medic was already running over. He found Obi-Wan’s hand—the one part of him that wasn’t grievously injured—and squeezed lightly. “So don’t you complain.”
