From the Union Street of old to a new perspective by Pablo who's incredible aerial image was shared by the team at @postabdn . It's easy to lament the way things used to be and the loss of certain buildings or architectural features. Looking at some photos felt like looking at another city, not just another time. Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy Union Street for a bit longer with the pedestrian areas allowing us to enjoy the city centre with fresh eyes and it might see a return to the bustling streets of old, people over cars anyday for me. Of course the next step is to create a city centre that caters to people and not just commerce although I'd love to be visiting the indoor market or even the old 'What Everyone Wants' right about now!
