With Jonathan Groff last night after his remarkable, moving performance at the troubling heart of Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along. He reminded me that it was 17 years ago when I was hanging out in his dressing room at Spring Awakening, a look back at the past that did not curdle this present moment as so many do in the show. NYCB star @chunner took this photo. He is about to make his debut in Apollo. Also joining us in Jon’s dressing room for about an hour, were @coreymach ,Jon's deeply talented costar and understudy, and another deeply talented actor and producer @nicolettekloe whose husband, Leslie Odom, Jr., just opened in Ossie Davis's Purlie Victorious which certainly was and for which she is a producer. Jon and Leslie were in Hamilton. Corey and Nicolette were in Witness Uganda at Second Stage. Nicole is taking her six-year-old daughter to her first performance of NYCB after having already introduced her to the genius of Alvin Ailey. I told her how much I wish someone in my childhood had led me to culture with just such love and knowledge. I had to parent myself in many ways during my Mississippi sissy orphaned childhood and my cultural immersion as an adult is still a way of parenting myself. Daniel Radcliffe, also brilliant in Merrily, dropped by and I reminded him that I had interviewed him when he was in Equus after my having been up all night having done meth. Merrily We Roll Along inspires one to look back on one's own narrative in such a way. I even saw the original production when I was 25 and couldn't really understand its cynicism seeping into its heart as if a kind of psychological sepsis had set in. I can certainly understand it now. I am lucky to have gotten past that curdling septic setting in of addiction and the earlier sadness that was my truest parent to the cultural joy of last night and to the blessing of this hug. I adored Jon as a boy. I adore him even more as a man.

💚: how long have you been working on it?

It's been six year, give or take. I haven't been working on it full-steam this whole time. To be honest, I haven't worked on it much half that time lol

🖤: what are your MC names?

Aithus, Kloe, and Edmund Eventone!

💔: give a brief character bio of your 3-5 MCs

Aithus: Short and stubborn, appears to be fueled by rage and a need of justice but secretly he just cares so so much and is grumbling to hold back his tears. Okay but he is actually stubborn. Yeah I dunno this guy is filled with guilt and piling burdens on to himself. Kloe: Very patient very steady. Going through it because everyone she turns people are freaking out and throwing everything into stuff and she has to watch as they burn themselves up. "Please just let me stand by you, it's okay I want to help you hold this." Edmund: Silliest man ever, absolute fool and jokester, very annoying. Even worse because his jokes are funny sometimes. There's something on the edge and it's concerning but you can't put your finger on it, it just lingers in his laugh. He is not going anywhere, for better or for worse (it is very unclear).

💕: what has your favorite scene been?

Actually a scene I never finished writing lol so I never posted it here. I think the doc is called 'babysitting'. Aithus is attempting to break into a military outpost and gather info and Edmund is being a huge help. It was really fun to write that side of Ed! And I love making fun of Aithus lol

💖: are you planning on publishing it? if so, how?

I think so! That's way in the future so I'm not sure. I would love to publish it through Rabbit Room or the like.

💝: who has your favorite character arch? give a brief summary

Okay it feels a bit unfair to pick Edmund because his character arch continues after this story so it's not all happening here. So maybe Aithus? I just really like characters who are trying so hard to be good, and he's definitely doing that and messing up and needing to figure out how he can actually help people and do good like he so desperately wants.

Haladen Kloe

This is going to be a post about one of the characters of Oraeka Project. There are some spoilers behind his overall story, so of course it will be kept under a read more.

Haladen Kloe is one of the many human characters within the story of Oraeka Project and later on in the books works along side Rin Kazashi within the Investigation Wing. He’s an interesting character, given certain things about him that he’s been through and dealt with in his life.

Haladen stands at 5′6 (172cm) with vibrantly green hair and eyes. There’s sometimes, if one ever looks close enough, a tint of other colors swirling all around him. Focusing on these other swirling colors can prove a challenge as they seem to shift constantly and almost don’t look of this world. Of course, one would be lucky to have been close enough to Haladen to have focused that long on it without him grabbing your attention otherwise with his snide remarks and know-it-all attitude. His personality is a complicated one, for he treats everyone like he’s better than them. It’s cause he is better than them and he’ll gladly prove it every single time.

He wasn’t always like this though. Get to know the man and he’ll treat you like he’s your brother. An annoyance but loyal as any bond of strong family. That part of him, after all, was how he was raised by his Fire Kraeka sisters. “Fire Kraeka Sisters?” Yes. But not in the literal sense. Haladen was raised by Fire Kraeka, as he’s an orphan. In a village within Meteorite Bay, Haladen spent most of his life being raised in a village of Fire Kraeka, all of which he considered family of some sort. Two of them in particular he considered his sisters, and they raised him both with care and with the customs that they know.

How did Fire Kraeka get to be in Meteorite Bay, a section of land on a human continent? Complicated answer not meant for this post, but long story short this is a village of Fire Kraeka considered as the Banished.

Back onto point, Haladen loved and cared about his Sisters very dearly. He was consistent in his martial training and learned many of their customs. He cared little that he was human amongst Fire Kraeka, and all the ladies treated him like one of their own.

At this time of his life, Haladen had brown hair and hazel eyes. “What?”  Yeah. Brown hair and hazel eyes. He was much more brotherly. Caring. Not so stabby.

That is until he saw the day his village was destroyed. 

Mind you, a typical destruction of a village would involve fire, but this is a village of Fire Kraeka. I haven’t made a post on them yet, but they’re masters of their element and immune to it. Burning a village by them is pointless, so as he watched flames flicker above the roofs of houses he could only consider one possibility. It was defensive. They were under attack.

Haladen learns a bit about the outside world of his village this day. He knew some, in fact at least from the teachings from one of his sisters, but he didn’t know too much. Here, standing before him killing off the Fire Kraeka of the village one by one, was a group known as the Hunters. They were dressed in red for their uniform and they continued spouting some nonsense that this village was a threat to the treaties. What treaties? Why were these people killing his family? He watches as one of his dearest sisters loses a fight. Then watches as the other takes a deadly blow. Run.  He hears his oldest sister whisper. Run!

Halden runs. Well. Not that there was many places to run. The villages of Meteorite Bay are on top of floating islands above shallow water. The ladders down to the water would be most likely occupied by the Hunters, and jumping would be a swift death. So Haladen goes to the safest place he can think of. The most dangerous place he could think of. A place his oldest sister spent her life warning him about. Never to go into, never to seek what lies within it. If it’s so dangerous then why point it out? if it’s so dangerous then it can clearly help keep him hidden from the Hunters?

There, entering the cavern of the island as fire spreads from the houses into the trees, he sees as light filters unnaturally along its floor. It stops short at the mouth of the cave to leave a cold unending void too pitch black to see into. Haladen still steps forward. He was instantly greeted by voices as something wraps around him and pulls him in. A smile like presence could be felt all around him before he looses all his senses. When he regains them he sees three green haired figures, but the figures felt like something wanted to be seen as them and not its true self. It speaks not through these figures, but as nothingness surrounding the very space in the void. It promised power. It promised revenge. All it wanted was, if the boy died at any time, his soul. 

An emotional boy like him took it without hesitation.

An emotional boy like him didn’t expect the pain to his soul as Chaos Aura infused into it. The changes to his body. His mind. His thoughts and his being. He could hear things he didn’t want to hear, and everywhere he looked he saw the same three figures... heard them too. They said crazy things all the time and kept trying to sway his thoughts at any moments notice. But he dealt with it. He had the power now to find a plan, to enact a revenge for his lost sisters. For his lost village. His own justice. We’ll now explain what this means exactly. Haladen is the Only human in Oraeka Project with Chaos Aura. There’s a few things this does for him, this unique form of aura for him. One: By touch, Haladen can sense a persons past. Thoughts. Memories. He now knows them. Two: Thanks to the previous knowledge gained, his chaos aura allows him to turn into them. He finds it rather easy to act as someone through chaos aura. Three: He can remove himself mostly from reality. Like invisibility to most people, but for the most part passes through people. This also changed his hair and eyes to the known green we all love him for. The downside is he has to focus on all this aura. He can’t use any other aura. Doing so ends these effects.

Needless to say he uses these skills to, for the next year or so, infiltrate and find out how to take his revenge. His plan? Well he aims rather big. Take them down from within. What better sweet revenge than to take out the top dogs that were responsible? The further he gets into this plan, the cockier he gets. His skill gets him into a selection to soon be made by an Officer. The rumors he learned about was that it was a big name, the Hunter of Fire herself. Some red head Officer that came from a huge family with big weight within the Hunters. Perfect. An easy target that could be a big blow to the Hunters. He challenges the girl. He found her to be quite young too, someone with such infamy in this organization. He decides to make a show about it. After all what are they going to do? He’ll just vanish the moment he kills her and they won’t even know where he went. Pass off as someone else he prepared a body for afterwards and be on his way to take out the next big name. He’s laughing as he holds the knife to the girls throat- The voices in his head are laughing at him. “You picked a fight with a Kazashi first?” So what? What’s so important about that? Were his last thoughts until he passes out from a very sudden aura exhaustion, as Rin Kazashi herself drains it from his body.

Haladen finds himself waking up, swords to his throat and a panicked looking Rin Kazashi standing nearby with another higher ranked official. There was discussion of what to do with him. Kill him was the common suggestion, jails and prisons would not keep a human for long with enough time.

“No.” Said the Kazashi girl. “He’s to be my second in command.”

She spared him. He was taught a harsh lesson and he was still spared. The girl promised him to find answers about what happened to his village and that she would actively work towards preventing further tragedies of what he described... and from what he gained of her memories he truly believed her. There was something about her that piqued his curiosity too. It was like... a piece of her soul was missing. The chaos in his head agreed that she was interesting and that working with her would be more beneficial than not, and so Haladen to this day has stayed loyal to her and his role as the Second in Command of the investigation wing.

Hi!!! Yay thanks for letting me be the first :D welcome to Tumblr!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy my silly little stuff! Ok ok let me think how do I start this. There is a bit of a mess with it ok. So there's a lot of them lol and a few different stories. Most of them are a collab with my sister @meadow-roses

Thistled Rose of Glishirn. The first one! It's about Aithus and his sister Kloe, and the most annoying guy Edmund. They go on adventures trying to save their country and do right regular freedom fighting. Jailbreaks, interrogation, speeches, betrayal. All the fun stuff. Oh and it's also set in a fantasy world.

The Keepers. This one is so big. It follows mainly four characters (Skylar, Ketsler, Felix, Betty) who find themselves with magic and unable to die. Shenanigans has they bop about helping people and witnessing horrors before meeting and almost becoming friends! And good thing too because the horrors just get worse! They have to face off with a too-powerful evil wizard, bent on reforming the world to his vision.

Ageless War. It's the end of the world. The universe has been at war and destroying itself for hundreds of years. You're either a war veteran, an outlaw, or dead. The three main characters team up and maybe actually become friends. Mitz wants revenge. Nico wants freedom. Miao wants answers. Things get fun when they find the first android, created over a hundred years ago.

I think that catches the basics? If you want to hear more about the actual ocs themselves just tell me which one sounds more interesting! Didn't want to get too long-winded on you lol

So we have, of course, my rotten soldier, my good time boy, Finley.

Finley, crown prince of the dark court, reluctant ruler after killing his father at the behest of his half sister Felicity, whom he basically raised. Crown Prince of the court, but King Fuckboi of my heart. Single Dad Champion. I love to love him.

Toussaint is Finley’s best friend. He’s a half elf bard who was sentenced to death in another realm, forced to walk into a bottomless pit. Unbeknownst to his persecutors, the pit led him to a faewild realm. He eventually found his way to court and charmed himself into Finley’s good graces, because the crown prince has a soft spot for bards.

Kloe is another court bard, neutral between the Prince and Princess. She is a pink firbolg, who Finley and Toussaint are competing to woo. Unfortunately for them she’s completely clueless to their advances.

Princess Felicity is female rage incarnate. She’s beautiful and soft spoken but cruel hearted. She despises being in the Dark court, as she was borne of a captive Light Court noble. I have so many fricking reacting to cannon stuff on my Wattpad drafts/Notes app! I think I’m ready to post the first chapter to my MCU reaction book, I’m posting it on Wattpad frist and then probably on Ao3 in a week. For one main reason that is I feel more pressure to update on Ao3 than Wattpad. So it will give me more time to work on another chapter. Which I have to say what I’ve written so far I’m actually pretty proud of!

Anyway I was working on another chapter for my ASOIAF reading and was wondering what religon did the Targaryen’s pratice? If anyone knows please tell! I will update if I find out because google and Reddit are giving me different answers! I’m thinking about reading Fire and Blood as well to have a better grasp on Targaryen history. I’ve thrown some names aroud in furture chapters (Dany’s) that I’m working on that really are only a couple of reactions but still getting a head start on them.

Anyway I also am writing a GOT Season 4 reaction! It is not going to be Posted on Ao3 till a while but same with Wattpad! It’s in early development and I started the reactions because I was bored and I always loved when they started mid series that way they had to put together Context clues and makes for bigger reveals. Anyway there will always be updates on that soon!

I’m not sure how to split it up though. I started the book with episode 1 (I haven’t written the Progule yet because that is my weakness) all in one chapter and that will take forever to upload if I do an Hour episode plus reactions (I know because all of my Fix-It succession fics and reaction fics) but if I split it up by everytime it switchs POV’s then it will be a billion chapters!

On personal news tomorrow is my brithday!!!!! Today I’m having a party and then tomorrow evening I’m going to my dad’s house and I get to spend the night and then Friday he took off of work and we are going to go to the fancy movies (4dx, Imax, etc.). We are going to see Barbie and Oppenheimer!

I’m personally more excited for Barbie and my dad wants to see Oppenheimer! I got a whole outfit for Barbie that I might post on here since it’s fan stuff and honestly this blog is a lot more like what I post on my personal blog except I don’t vent there a lot I just reblog random stuff.

Also I got into to listening to Friemies (I think I told you guys that already though).

Anyway I also posted an old Game Of Thrones oneshot and will proably post another one soon!

I need to post more promotoing my writing and other stuff but I get so uninspired on Tumblr sometimes unless I vent.
