Posthumous Portrait of Anne Boleyn from Hever Castle

Posthumous portrait of Anne Boleyn housed at Hever Castle. This portrait is frequently (and incorrectly) stated to be Hans Holbein the Younger although it dates to a much later date. It is very likely that Anne did sit for Holbein during her time as queen although any portrait that was made has not survived. This is a rather romantic image of Anne. Interestingly she is not depicted in a similar way to other images of her; she is not, for example, wearing a French hood or the famous ‘B’ necklace. Here she is depicted wearing an English gable hood which is not entirely inaccurate for the only known contemporary image of Anne – a medal dating to 1534 – depicts her in English dress with the gable hood. However overall this image cannot be used as a guide to Anne’s looks, for it dates to centuries after her death. It does provide us though with an insight into the manner which she was portrayed by subsequent generations.

#OnThisDay December 10, 2002, Compilation album “I Care 4 U” is released.

Blackground Records and Universal Music decided to release a posthumous record that included songs from her studio albums and previously unreleased tracks and demos, recorded between 1993 and 2001; including “I Miss You”, “Don’t Know What To Tell You” and “Erica Kane” along with a few of Aaliyah’s greatest hits such as “One In A Million”, “Are You That Somebody” and “At Your Best (You Are love)”.

I Care 4 U was certified Platinum in the United States and sold over 1.6 million copies in the country (6 million worldwide).

It was likely about his ex-fiancée Demri Parrott. After the two had broken up, she died of an overdose in 1996 after being clean for 2 years.

Legacy Recordings and the estate of Johnny Cash released Out Among the Stars. This was Johnny's fourth posthumous studio album and his 71st album overall. The tracks on this album were originally "lost" recordings made from 1981-1984 with the famous country producer Billy Sherill. The recordings were shelved by Johnny's label, Columbia Records, after poor sales of the 1981 album The Baron. The tracks were rediscovered in 2012 by Johnny's son, John Carter Cash. June Carter Cash is also featured on two tracks. Country music legends Minnie Pearl and Waylon Jennings also appear on the album. The album debuted at #3 on the US Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums. In the UK, the album debuted at #4. It remained on the US Billboard Top 200 for 13 weeks.

Due to a limited release, it only peaked at number 70 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales. It fared better internationally, peaking at number 22 in the United Kingdom and within the top 40 in Australia and Switzerland.

In her book Baby Girl: Better Known as Aaliyah (2021), author–journalist Kathy Iandoli, further explained that the lyrics talks about, "Aaliyah refusing to be tied down by a controlling relationship, as she compares it to incarceration"
