That shower video “someone” made has bothered me for months. I’m sure no one wants to rethink on this but I have some thoughts about the whole thing that may or may not be delusional. But really with everything that’s happened, is anything too far fetched ? Lol
So when you post a story to IG, I think it allows like an under 60 sec uploading time. Within that time frame, I think you can still delete the post without it being fully uploaded and seen by your followers (someone correct me if I’m wrong).
What if - “someone” made her shower show and then preemptively uploaded it to her IG story but as it was still uploading, SS and deleted it (again, I do not know how and if this is actually possible to do before the story completely uploads) and then deactivated.
After the deactivation, she knew ppl would be checking for her as they have for months. As ppl are wondering what happened to her, suddenly some dummy account on twitter (or was it tumblr? Or IG) asks if anyone else saw her post that story…and then the SS of the story are leaked. Idk if there was ever an actual video that made it around (I HOPE NOT) or if it was always screenshots only.
The source of the SS conveniently disappears or is never really traced? but the work is done. The pics are spread and there’s hope that ppl will feel sorry for her or that she’ll go viral and make the news (she doesn’t lol).
Her trolling friends are mysteriously silent and never address the situation. Her fans seem determined to ignore it completely and instead focus on her deactivating bc she was being bullied. (Which she was, TBF, but if she willingly posted a story like that on Beyoncé’s internet unprovoked I have to wonder about her priorities). Nobody around her orbit wants to address the situation but she then pops up on twitter two days later (that timing…so convenient).
Now I can’t prove any of this happened the way I described, but I have an even stronger inkling the truth may not be too far, bc of the most recent sister IG story.
Again - a mysterious SS appears out of thin air looking oddly like it might have been tampered with. Where did that second X on the top left hand corner come from? That’s not in regular IG stories or even screenshots of IG stories. Did her sister REALLY post a story tagging Cap A? Why would she have done that if not to make it so obvious where she was? And how did a private account IG story suddenly make its way through cyberspace when nothing from her sisters account has ever leaked to blogs b4? Surely if ppl had been checking for her before, there would have been other stories she posted - esp when they were together in Paris or elsewhere.
This SS has a backyard backdrop that would not mean anything to anyone unless it’s eagle eyed stalker fans who can recognize the man’s backyard (IDEK wanna go there). Then add that location tag…obvious trolling bc if it were just the background without the tag, I’d give her the benefit of the doubt. Assuming that the sister’s following would not see that post and know she was in his backyard. She adds the cap moniker tag and now the hint is clear as day. Then the SS gets sent to multiple tumblr blogs that are CE/fans. Get ppl talking, angry, riled up. Then “someone” follows a person who has a connection to her famous bf. It all unravels from there.
Now..why do all this? Why would you go thru all this trouble to troll? She could simply post a pic from his backyard herself. She could have posted a pic or video from inside his house in his bathroom showering if she really wanted. If she’s his SO, she’s allowed to do some of that within reason. IMO, she very much wants to keep up appearances that she’s super private and respectful of his privacy and she doesn’t troll. She’s above that and not like all of those other clout chasing women. However - by physically posing for that awful video, she literally proved she was proactive in creating that content. It’s not like it was a candid where she was doing something and was unaware she was being filmed. She posed willingly - that video was going to someone or somewhere intentionally. Her sister allegedly posting from his backyard and tagging that also means she wanted ppl to connect the dots.
Maybe all this is delusional overthinking on my part. There’s no way I can prove any of this is true. But I just don’t trust this chick. Can’t explain it.
Sweetheart, I hope you didn't wrote this long essay right after you woke up. 😅

just makes me question overall how much truth is in that hatred, why so many friends turned their back on him...
to possibly make you feel a bit better on this point, truly a lot of the “friends” who turned on him.. weren’t even his friends at all. the only person you can really point to is tommy or q and with q they weren’t really That close, but with tommy.. tommy didn’t even do it because of anything crazy he’s just mad dream didn’t like his joke—like a petulant teenager might.
it might all seem pretty bad but if we’re honest it’s Always been this way with him—his background, his fanbase, the way the tides of internet attitudes have been changing, it’s the perfect recipe for people to have a punching bag and no one’s gonna stop them because then you’ve casted yourself out from the ingroup.
yeah its true that, so many friendship that are born thanks to content creation specially if the friendship began when one of this side is a more stablished youtuber or more "famous", clout chasing in short words, many ppl just do this friendships just for necessity, networking. A new form of double face people i would say...
i dont really remember there being an internet punching bag before tbf, maybe there was but i never been someone who would go with that flow.

I love Tumblr as a platform despite the garbage that it is half the time (*cough* currently post+ *cough*) because I am literally not perceived and that is fantastic :D I can just scream into the void about frogs and lgbtq+ and fandoms and sometimes the void screams back with equally excited comments. Like, no one cares about me and it is fantastic for me mentally because everywhere else it's no one care :((( and on Tumblr it's no one cares ╰(*°▽°*)╯ y'know?
Every few weeks, people will try and convince me to use other social medias more regularly (be it snapchat, insta, facebook or whatever) but the idea of performing and being perceived as Myself is exhausting

I'm just going to say it, I've seen zero receipts of alleged harassment from racist Sarah Z fans provided by the person who initially critisized her for liking Lorde's new album.
While I'm sure it's certainly scary to have a large creator respond to you directly saying "no, I actually never defended Lorde trivializing BLM by using audio in the backround of her music", and while I'm sure there were many people jumping to her defense, it's important never to take any claim at face value. If the original critisizer provides screenshots of the alleged misgendering and being called racial slurs, I will delete this post. But I'm not hopeful that I wouldn't just be accused of trying to retraumatize/upset him for not believing claims without evidence. And I'm sure I'll get a lot of angry people in the replies for thinking it's possible that a person on the internet would stretch the truth, but if they sent death threats/suicide bait/racial slurs/misgendering, I would simply screenshot it and add proof of that harassment to this post. It's really not that hard to take a screenshot.
Additionally, the person who made the initial criticism is romani, not black. If non-black POC could stop using black people and black issues as tools for internet points against white women they don't like, that would be rad. We aren't your pawns. Maybe let actual black people make criticisms instead of speaking over us and doing it on our behalf.
One can argue that it can potentially open up a person to harassment if a large creator responds to them. While this is certainly possible, to imply that a person doesn't have the right to respond to criticism creates a fucked up dynamic of "if you're too well-known, people can hurl whatever abuse or accusations they want, and if you respond or block them at all, *you're* the bad one!" I think a good solution for creators is to respond to criticism with censored screenshots so that there can't be any allegations of sending harassment to the way of the critisizer.
This whole thing is stupid. Using black people for your weird parasocial clout-chasing internet games is gross and stupid. Stop.
*non-black ppl stfu on this post, thx*

(Observation) Obviously anyone can do whatever they want to their hair, but I’m so tried of ppl trying so hard to define their hair. Nothing is wrong with having defined hair, but the obsession on YouTube, Tiktok, Pinterest, IG, etc is so one sided, especially for type four hair. I’ve seen ppl who have type four hair go to the salon on YouTube and the hair stylist drowns their hair in products. Trying to over manipulate your hair to do something it’s not naturally supposed to do is so confusing for young black kids. Like imagine having type four hair and trying to get new tips by watching a YouTube video of someone with 3a hair defining their hair. Type four hair isn’t going to look the same and that’s okay! Type four hair isn’t going to have the same hang time compared to someone with 3a hair and that’s okay! It’s okay and equally as beautiful to not have defined hair or slicked edges!
This isn't the point but, first off, Idk why ppl feel like everyone suddenly has a right in this day & age to do literally whatver they want w their hair. A loooot of the time I see this used as a defense specifically for why non blacks style their hair in ways that are entirely unique to black ppl & black culture. I never see it used in a different context, which is why to me its bullshit. Ppl say this & in the same breath have issues w black women straightening their hair or wearing weave/wigs. So nah, imo, no everybody cannot do what they want w their hair, bc its not the "equality" or "feminist" gesture ppl convince themselves it is & often still ostracize black women for so.
You're absolutely right ab the obsessive "defining" that's pushed around hair generally being toxic & detrimental tho, esp for fully black kids w textured hair — & like I've delved into before here, we can blame that on how invasively so many non black ppl infiltrated the natural hair community. It started out & reached its educational peak w the perseverance of monoracial black women, & dramatically fell off behind biracial & non black women muddying all the representation & information. One way or another, most women to blame for this got into it for clout or just to loiter in spaces for all things Black & "natural hair" — & snatched the whole mike from black women who were foundational to the movement. Theyre still unapologetic & self-serving ab it to this day, even.
I feel so bad for black ppl generally newly discovering information ab natural hair thru the type of ppl that don't even look like them; that don't even have the same hair texture but who be on the internet chasing clout around what texture 4 hair specifically "should" look or behave like. 🙄 like the amount of self-absorption that goes into all the non & half black clout around being "natural" is so tiring & dead. There is absolutely nothing wrong w having type 4 hair; it doesn't have to behave or look like looser textures, either; slathering it in products to achieve that is also antiblack as hell to me. Just bc afro-textured hair requires different maintenance compared to looser textures doesn't mean the whole approach has to be "drench it in (x,y,z) & manipulate it to death until it looks, feels & behaves like a looser texture — otherwise you're taking care of it poorly, stunting or damaging it yada yada yada."

Do you have any tips for getting an audience of tumblr or Twitter. Sometimes I just get frustrated when a drawing I spent 6 hours on gets 3 notes or 2 likes and a retweet.
i think it’s really hard to have one size fits all advice for something like this — the internet is so vast, i only really know how to navigate my own specific niche of it, and different artists will always appeal to different audiences, so stuff that worked for me might not work for you. BUT i can try my best — i just can’t guarantee any of this is replicable bc especially with the new age of incomprehensible algorithms i just never know what’s going on at any given time
first off, a big disclaimer for transparency: a lot of my Big follower gains have been from my Hashtag Relatable mental health comics getting tons of notes. i do NOT!!!!! recommend making mental health content to try to get popular!!! i think doing so will put fucking worms in your brain!!! it will poison you and your brain will dribble out your ear holes like soup. i think that it is already complicated enough to navigate all the weirdness of like... making vulnerable stuff like that available for consumption, and doing it in Hopes of going viral and getting lots of followers can imo literally only end poorly. hhhhhowever, i would feel really weird if i like... glossed over the fact that i know that’s where a lot of my followers have come from, or acted like that didn’t happen, so. i just have to like, mention it. my takeaway here is if you’re going to make mental health content FOR YOURSELF because you WANT to, brace yourself for it to potentially circulate, and be ready to feel really weird about it, but i do not recommend it as like... a way to purposefully grow an audience.
ANYWAY. with that nagging out of the way. actual advice
1. fanart, but only of stuff you really actually like. it is literally just a fact that it’s easier for people to feel invested in and care about characters from stuff they’re already invested in than original independent content. it’s not wrong to court that! but i think u should only pour energy into fanart of stuff u actually like — not bc chasing after whatever the current BNHA-type thing is rn is “selling out,” who gives a shit, but bc the end goal is to have an audience who WANTS to see what YOU want to make. you want people who care about your specific set of aesthetics and interests, not ppl who will unfollow en masse the second you fall off trend. (if you DO tend to really like what’s super popular, there’s nothing wrong with that! that’s lucky for you, genuinely.)
2. self promo all the time. this one can be hard bc it feels embarrassing at first. you feel like you’re spamming people or being annoying or self centered. but listen: people follow literally hundreds of accounts. you remember every time you’ve boosted your drawing; most of the ppl who follow you probably didn’t even see it. and if they see it twice or three times among the literally hundreds and thousands of posts anyone sees per day that is not a big deal. stuff gets lost! timelines and dashboards move fast! i cannot count the number of times i’ve seen something cool and thought “oh i’ll check that out” and then five minutes later i’ve forgotten bc of information overload. you have to constantly remind people that you exist and that you make things and i promise you you’re not being as annoying as you think you are. (i know you guys don’t see this in practice from me much on tumblr; that is bc i don’t really like it here and i don’t understand the vibes. i never shut the fuck up on twitter)
3. follow and engage with your peers, not just people with 10k+ followers who have already “made it” or whatever. this is not advice about growing an audience so much as advice for not feeling super shitty while you’re trying to grow your audience. i’m not saying that people with tons of followers/bustling online shops/enamel pin empires are like a completely different category of person of whatever, that’s not my point; clout is not direct deposit and just bc someone is popular doesn’t mean they’re coasting by without worries; etc etc. but my point is that i used to only follow very popular, established artists who were, in my mind, “out of my league,” and i spent all my time beating myself up for not being them or being consumed with jealousy and resentment. but... spending more time with artists who are kind of at the same ssstage of figuring things out as i was, as much as any individual journeys can ever be “the same,” was much more encouraging and inspiring and energizing, and helped me reset my concept of what “success” means for independent creatives into something more healthy. don’t wear yourself out chasing after people who seem to be moving way faster than you, especially if it’s making you feel like shit! find some people who are walking at a pace you can relate to, take interest in their stuff, talk and form connections. you’ll feel better.
4. just draw the stuff you want to even if you don’t think it has audience appeal. literally just draw exactly what makes you happy. this sounds like i’m trying to pull some corny Just Be Yourself! Believe In Your Art! shit and i mean yeah i guess but i also mean that literally from experience there was a significant surge in interest + appreciation of my work when i went apeshit and just decided to do the most self indulgent shit possible no matter how cliche or tacky or cringe or whatever it was. people respond to sincerity and passion, i really believe that. people can tell when you’re having fun and they like it. who doesn’t wanna be around someone who’s always having fun
that’s about all the stuff that i think could be considered like.... more or less universal. i dunno!!! just keep at it. the internet is a nightmare i don’t really know how it works

Where Things Stand with Dr. Disrespect’s Twitch Ban
Last Friday (6/26/2020) news broke in the afternoon that Dr. Disrespect had been banned from Twitch. Details are still scarce as to why he was banned, but that hasn’t stopped everyone from trying to figure it out on their own. Suffice to say, there’s a lot of bullshit out there right now. In making this post I hope to provide accurate information as to where rumors got started, what facts we actually know, and what seems likely based on any actual reporting being done. So, let’s start with what we know from the two parties involved: Twitch and Dr. Disrespect himself.
What Twitch Has Stated
Per Zach Bussey’s tweet at https://twitter.com/zachbussey/status/1276620223576186880 and Shannon Liao’s tweet at https://twitter.com/Shannon_Liao/status/1276617617730568195, Twitch’s official statement reads:
As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.
Twitch has provided no further public comment since Friday on this matter, but they did refund Twitch users their costs associated with an active Dr. Disrespect subscription.
What Dr. Disrespect Has Stated
Dr. Disrespect has made one statement through his Twitter account, https://twitter.com/drdisrespect/status/1277060051744591872, it reads:
Champions Club,
Twitch has not notified me on the specific reason behind their decision... Firm handshakes to all for the support during this difficult time.
 -Dr Disrespect
This statement was made late Saturday night, nothing else has been said by Dr. Disrespect at this time.
Also, while not directly referencing anything, video have been posted of the final 8 or so minutes of his most recent stream before the ban. It can be viewed at https://youtu.be/yxGBwDVmzRA. I can’t say I have personally seen the end of too many Dr. Disrespect streams, but there are some strange moments in this for sure.
For example, at the 1:58 mark he reaches for what seems like his pocket, looks down at something (presumably a cell phone), and seems pretty shook for the next 20 or so seconds, before going back into character. Around the 4:30 mark he appears to mute himself while telling someone in the room to hold off (he did mention his wife was in the room shortly before). Then, around the 8 minute mark he abruptly cuts off the stream after sighing/making some other similar noise and saying fuck”. Not to mention the discussion about conspiracy theorist David Icke and the watching of Roblox video while seemingly trying to collect himself. It was overall very strange in my opinion and seems telling that something was definitely going on.
What Was Being Reported Friday (the day of the ban)
When news broke Rod Breslau, better known as Slasher, was at the forefront for additional news he broke on the matter at https://twitter.com/Slasher/status/1276613302483812352. The tweet reads:
Sources: it is not DMCA
One of the popular theories when the ban came down was that this ban had to be DMCA related (so popular that DMCA was a trending topic on Twitter much of the afternoon). This tweet put that theory to rest.
Slasher also went on to post the following tweet in regard to the ban (https://twitter.com/Slasher/status/1276742960286183424):
look: for several hours now I have been told from credible sources the reason DrDisrespect has been banned. however due to the importance and sensitivity around the subject I have refrained from going on it. i don't feel comfortable with it currently
A similar statement was tweeted by Twitch streamer ShannonZKiller that stated:
From my own sources: Doc is indeed done, and not just on Twitch. I know why and cannot say. But this is serious.
While the Tweet has since been deleted, it of course lives on thanks to the internet (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EbeE7tkX0AIc8oT?format=jpg&name=large). Shannon did provide the following explanation for deleting the tweet (https://twitter.com/ShannonZKiller/status/1276634901643747329):
Hey, I totally get that it turns out ppl didn't want more confirmation that it is a permanent ban without the reason and felt the tweet was clout chasing, so I will respect those perspectives and delete the tweet.
Thanks for putting me in check!
I don’t recall seeing, nor am I finding now, any other reports that provide additional details outside of this being 1) a permanent ban; 2) not DMCA related; and (according to two individuals) 3) a serious/sensitive matter.
The Rumor Mill
With no clear information pertaining to the reason behind the ban it has left those interested to come up with their own theories and push them out to the masses. From what I have seen the following theories are the most popular right now:
1) A new streaming service
2) Highlighting Conspiracy Theories
3) A Sexual Assault Allegation
A New Streaming Service
This theory keeps gaining steam, though I don’t think anyone is convinced of just what that new streaming service is. One theory provides for a new service called “Brime”. Another provides for a Spotify backed service. Seeing as Dr. Disrespect just signed a multiyear deal with Twitch in March to remain on the service (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/dr-disrespect-signs-multi-year-deal-stay-twitch-1283878) this seems highly unlikely in my opinion. Why would a new start-up risk a tortious interference claim against them that could trouble them before they even got started?
Highlighting Conspiracy Theories
Dr. Disrespect has dabbled in conspiracy theories on multiple streams, not just his last one. He had one strike against him on Twitch already, but that related to filming in a bathroom during E3. The Twitch Terms of Service read:
you will not:
 i. create, upload, transmit, distribute, or store any content that is inaccurate, unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, harassing, threatening, abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable;
While the creation of content that is inaccurate is a violation of the terms of service, it seems far fetched that the conspiracy theory talk on his last stream is what landed him a permanent ban. It certainly seemed like something was up prior to those topics being brought up. I’ve also seen him watch conspiracy theory YouTube videos live on stream in the past with no ban following, so in my opinion this one also seems like a stretch.
A Sexual Assault Allegation
Prior to Dr. Disrespect’s ban, sexual assault allegations against streamers and Twitch’s role in it was the main topic of discussion in the industry for the week. Wired has an article up detailing much of what transpired in this area at https://www.wired.com/story/twitch-streaming-metoo-reckoning-sexual-misconduct-allegations/.
With all the allegations that were popping up Twitch felt the need to respond and made a post on their blog on June 24th: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2020/06/24/an-update-to-our-community/. Part of the statement reads:
We want to provide an update on our investigations into the recent allegations of sexual abuse and harassment involving Twitch streamers and actions we’re taking. We are reviewing each case that has come to light as quickly as possible, while ensuring appropriate due diligence as we assess these serious allegations. We’ve prioritized the most severe cases and will begin issuing permanent suspensions in line with our findings immediately. In many of the cases, the alleged incident took place off Twitch, and we need more information to make a determination. In some cases we will need to report the case to the proper authorities who are better placed to conduct a more thorough investigation.
So, just two days before Dr. Disrespect’s ban Twitch issued a statement involving their investigations into sexual abuse and harassment that had a line that states: “We’ve prioritized the most severe cases and will begin issuing permanent suspensions in line with our findings immediately.”
On top of that, you have two (non-random) people on Twitter who claimed this to be a sensitive/serious matter (granted, neither would provide details and could easily have just been trying to draw attention to themselves). Of all the theories going around, this would seem to be the most likely of any of them. That said, like some of the other cases popping up, there is no identified victim here or public accusation. As such, it remains just a theory at this time.
Conclusion
With Twitch staying silent on the matter it’s next to impossible to fully understand what has happened here and why Dr. Disrespect is banned. Maybe as this week goes on some of the reporters that claim inside knowledge will get comfortable with their sources and/or find out more details to expand upon their original tweets. For the time being we’re stuck not knowing for sure and it’s basically giving the content creators that thrive on gossip plenty of fodder for their following.
