Ocean Water Drink

Virtual Baby Shower!

My mom decided to throw me a virtual Baby Shower this weekend! I am so excited! Its kind of like a good bye kind of thing too. Since I am officially 22 weeks on Friday.. I only have 1 week till I am 23 weeks!!! Meaning we are VIABLE!! 

This is the cute list we used to get it ready. We also decided to do it on Facebook as an online event so all our family that live out of state can join. My mom asked me what theme I wanted and of course I said mermaid!

We were supposed to do our gender reveal on Memorial Day weekend. However that is the weekend I pPromd. I am so proud of the invitation I made for my family & friends to attend. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic.. aka #Covid19, I decided to do it on the beach. This way everyone can see while we social distance. 

I wasn’t able to do this. It made me sad but I found out the gender anyway.

My BABY!

Finally got the chance to meet my beautiful baby girl Mikaela!! 💖 I am so in love with her. God had a plan for her, and wow. She is beautiful!! She was born at 8:22pm weighing 1lb 9oz!! She’s tiny but mighty! She was able to breath on her own, let out a little cry and is on low oxygen. Nurses said she’s a little feisty & that alone makes me so happy. Please continue to keep her in your prayers! Our pprom journey is over, but our NICU journey has begun. I’m doing good, recovering, taking it slow. Amazed with my body, honestly wow. I am so thankful and grateful that I didn’t give up on her. Where there’s a heartbeat there is hope!! 💖

We officially made it to 20+5!! It has been 7 weeks since I have pPromd!! 

50 days!!!! 

I am incredibly proud of my baby girl. 

My mom even surprised me with a field trip today. We are taking Maternity Pictures!!!

Yuck. 

I still have the nasty discharge. Metronidazole tastes horrible! I figured out that the best way for me to take it is with jello. Or else I want to throw up!

My discharge looks so weird and gross, I really hope I didn’t develop a yeast infection. To not gross anyone out.. I will not post the pics. I don’t even know if I am allowed to post them. I wont post them. Only 1 more day of these pills.

19 Weeks

I finally got the results from my swab that was taken of me at 18+5. 

I have BV!!!!! Bacterial vaginosis is a type of vaginal inflammation caused by the overgrowth of bacteria naturally found in the vagina, which upsets the natural balance. 

THIS IS WHAT CAUSED MY PPROM! It wasn’t even detected until after I asked, asked again & again for a swab. 

I am upset. I wish they would have caught this earlier. Maybe then my baby girl would not be suffering in such a tight space. I had weird discharge 2x and not once did they test me. It wasn’t until I continued to ask for it that they did. 

My husband has rushed to CVS to pick up my medication.. Metronidazole. I have to drink it 2x a day. One in the morning & one at night. 

I really hope this helps my baby girl.

Day 3 at Sharp Mary Birch. Enjoying my room & that machine is my new bff. 😂 Getting Heparin to avoid blood clots due to bed rest OUCH is what I have to say to those! Only for like 30 seconds but still! 😂 Baby aspirin for the same thing, a mix of antibiotics every 4 hours to prevent infection & over the past 2 days steroid shots that I don’t have to do again for a while. Yay! Tying to keep this little girl cooking as long as possible. I’m doing the best I can, mentally, I’ve always been a happy person, but this breaks me sometimes. Emotionally I am a wreck sometimes too, but that’s okay. We have made it this far and that alone is a huge accomplishment. Our main concern is her lung development. Since she’s had low fluid since my rupture at 13+5 weeks. Gotta keep the faith & continue to pray. God has a plan for us. 💕 where there’s a heartbeat, there is hope. 💖 I miss my amazing husband daily, but so blessed he gets to visit me everyday, even during a pandemic. Missing my family too, but so happy I get to FaceTime them. Really thankful for technology. Just wanted to say thank you to all of you keeping Mikaela & our family in your prayers. 💕 We love you all so much.

OH ALSO I TESTED FOR COVID! I’m negative, so that was cool! 👏🏼
