Evolution of my Hagatha, my first D&D character from back when I was in high school. The campaign she was in was short lived and didn't even really qualify as D&D but I had fun
Does having trouble breathing as well as vertigo (both only started recently) count as being sick?
Hmmm...
Yeah I think that counts lmao. I hope you feel better soon btw! I have vertigo too, it sucks ass man. It really renders me limp and useless for a good day too when it acts up so I know how you feel.
Please rest and take care of yourself! Have soup 🍲
the ac broke in my apartment and t*xas has been so so hot, so i’ve spent the week at Books’ place and it’s been. gosh
sunday, i went for a good hike with a friend, met Books at work for their lunch break, and then went to theirs. monday, we studied together and played mario kart (first time since i was a child!). tuesday, i studied while they were in (zoom) class and then i went to the movies (twbb my beloved!) to give them some breathing room to decompress after their counseling session; late in the evening we went to the gym together and then for a delightful night swim bc the courtyard pool was empty and dark and warm and i haven’t been swimming in probably a decade but it’s so hot and it was so lovely. i had been planning on doing a fun outdoor activity for the solstice on wednesday, but it was blistering out there, so we stayed in, indulgently enjoyed the air conditioner, rewatched s1 of the bear, and ordered takeout from a jamaican place that’s gradually becoming one of my favorite restaurants in the city. today we slept late and chilled out until i came back to my place.
tomorrow night, we’re going to a party together. next week will also surely be delightful. they’re getting a weekend off next month and i’m gonna plan something fun for them. i’m hoping that this is a good indicator of what our life will be like together. i can’t wait to find out!

I am so beyond tired of this. I can't reasonably work/have a source of income without ADHD meds. I don't have a chance of getting on disability without a diagnosis (leaving out that two doctors would need to confirm it 'cause of course people would fake a disability to get... $1300 a month 🙄).
Except I can't get on meds without a diagnosis because ADHD meds are a controlled substance the same as benzos and opioids.
And I'm over 6 months waiting to see a psych and may need to wait another 18+.
And this assumes the psych will even diagnose me with ADHD because I'm an AFAB abuse victim so I can mask really well and a lot of the ADHD diagnostic criteria is based on 10 year old boys.
And in the meantime, I can't work (well I could but capitalism loves forcing people to work shitty hours and do several jobs at once; also there's the whole pandemic thing that's on-going) and I can't do any "gig" stuff to bring in money there because depression + ADHD means nothing gets done.
So everything is hinging on seeing a psych but who knows when that will be.
How…. To tell my psychiatrist that a higher dose of Zoloft around my period helps my pmdd but I don’t want to take it all the time because it makes me feel sort of… off in general but it also
(Nsfw and way tmi irl stuff under the cut)
Really messes with me having sex without feeling weird… my sex drive has been thrown off among… other things… but I just don’t know how not to sound like I’m whining about stupid complaints that aren’t significant
Question about socialized medicine, universal healthcare, or whatever you want to call it: Can you get a second opinion?
Whenever I try to discuss the flaws with healthcare in the United States, he says at least we have the option to get a second opinion. My main response to this is that we only have that option if we have adequate time and money, so most people don’t actually have that option at all. But I’m curious if it’s even true to say socialized medicine doesn’t allow people to see a second opinion.
