Choosing to be alone

Why do people want me to go out when I don't feel like it? Why do they think it's their fault?

I like being alone, always have, I fell in love yes, long ago, I probably still love in a different sense of the word.

I enjoy company, I have friends and people to see, but I'm at peace with myself now, I don't feel like I want to focus my energy in someone else, that's why I feel uncomfortable when people want to go beyond casually going out.

I like to drink wine alone while listening to music, I've aged too, I enjoy one on one conversations, drinking with one person only, or even my own company, that's it.

Summer in 35mm

This was probably 3 summers ago, in the house I used to share with a special person back then.

I was so happy at this point I know it although I barely remember it now.

That house wasn't even great, it was cold or too hot in the summer, it had mold but I didn't care, it proves that you make the home yours with the people around you or the decisions you make with the space.

Lately I've been having a lot of glimpses throughout the days of memories that I treasure, like flashbacks triggered by certain actions.

I don't wish to go back anymore although I miss a lot people, places and situations.
