I love how both Jason and Tim have a habit of stealing the backstory of the Robin that came before them.
Pre-crisis Jason was a circus acrobat with his parents.
In the DC Animated Universe they SAY it's Tim Drake, yet everything screams Jason, down to them both being street kids threatened by Two-Face.

March 1984. Poor Jason. Everyone knows it, but you can't just say it.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about the new Justice Society of America series and how the lead of it's first arc was Huntress, Batman's daughter.
It's fine to not like the character, but people's reasoning is beyond uninformed. They say they don't want a Batfam character in their JSA book, or that they don't want a Batfam character from the future as the main character.
Well I'm here to reinform you all that Helena Wayne is not a new character, and has always been a JSA member ever since her creation pre-crisis. She is also not much of a Batfam character either. Much like her partner, Power Girl, she is mostly assigned to her role on the JSA and has little interaction with her other family members outside of Dick Grayson.
She originated in December of 1977, and debuted in All-Star Comics #69 shortly after the revival of the JSA. She was a hit character with solo backups in Wonder Woman (!) and was even a co-founder of the original Infinity Inc. team.
I'm sure someone more informed than I could make a better post on this topic, but I hope this helps :)

FOr someone unfamiliar with Pre-crisis, how is the "love triangle" between Superman, Clark & Lois meant to work if she falls for Superman first? Like, what does Lois actually see in "Clark". Does she just sort of feel bad for him?
Golden Age - She despises Clark as a weakling and a coward.
Silver Age - She strongly suspects he and Superman are one and the same. Their whole dynamic is she keeps trying to out him and he foils her attempts.
Bronze Age - She is strongly implied to know but has grown sick of the games and tells him (Superman) he needs to come clean if he wants her to marry him. Clark wants to but just can’t bring himself to do it.
Modern Age - Two approaches. First is she doesn’t know and starts off despising Clark, but slowly comes to respect him because he works hard and somehow manages to outscoop even her. Second is that she does know or strongly suspects, but is waiting for Clark to tell her because she doesn’t think she has the right to force the issue.

Why did it take me watching the 1966 Batman show to learn that Dick has an aunt?
Actually, no, objectively I knew he had other relatives, but that fact never really registered?
And now I've fallen into a rabbit hole...
Did you know that her comic counterpart, introduced in 1964, was introduced after Alfred died when he saved Batman and Robin from a falling boulder and essentially took his role?
And when she found the Batcave, she smeared pitch onto all the exit routes of the Batcave, because Bruce and Dick tried to trick her into thinking that they aren't Batman and Robin.
They used a hydrofoil attachment to get over it.
So they go out for partrol to catch the latest villain.
You'll never guess who it is.
It's Cluemaster. Fucking Cluemaster.
He painted a special chemical onto the BatTires so he could locate them but the tracks just stopped at some point.
Bruce and Dick thought they outplayed Dick's Aunt Harriet.

dick PASSING the mantle of robin to Jason. dick by his own choice giving it away to Bruce’s protege. dick witnessing the struggle of jason finding himself and giving him a part of him to help him through the mantle of being batmans partner. dick saying good bye to bruce and comforting him letting him know that he wants to give robin away. pre-crisis was such a wonderous time.
