I said it around this time last season and I’ll say it again this season: Arsenal can win the league. Will they? Hard to say, I still think they need more goals in the team but let’s see where they are after the winter window. They definitely need to strengthen defensively and offensively. A solid left back and an impactful winger are my moves. Personally, I think they should’ve made a play for someone like Osimhen in the summer. But to get across the line, they definitely need a winger that’ll produce. 🧐

You know something that would be really cool if it happened in Victorious?
Victor going back to the Vale estate.
Think about it; maybe he needs a place to lay low for a bit while hiding from EON or whatever antagonist will show up- somewhere he won’t be expected. The estate’s empty most of the time anyway and he’s familiar enough with it to sneak in easily. Maybe he even checks to see if his parents are on tour first. It could lead to some cool flashback chapters (still got my fingers crossed for those, it’s Vic’s turn for some pre-college scenes), some fun gloomy brooding, and perhaps even a confrontation if the manor turns out to be less empty then he thought...

i love having strangers pick at my scabs.  @2005jesuschrist.
predictably, people remained something of the same in the cooling ashes of the world's end: pawns did little but change their shape, though their actions, vincent noticed, became far easier to manipulate without a pay-check dangled in front of their eyes. no, people would do anything if they became desperate enough, a promise of their fundamental needs met gained one a most resilient allegiance. in moments of crisis, humankind would always look to others for a semblance of god; and vincent's holiness appeared in all it's gold and glimmer, promises fulfilled just as long as they provided him something in return. but he sheltered the wrath of god in equal measure, a temper as turbulent as the earth itself, harbouring a degree of resentment for the pathetic nature of man's pitiful plights. he despised desperation, it wrinkled his nose like the smell of something putrid. but there had been some sanctity through an unlikely friendship forged, feelings of like and dislike existing analogously beside one another. sometimes it became a contest of ego, a frightful level of self-regard attained and suddenly the room becomes thick with it. but vincent enjoyed that victor was unapologetically himself, above all other matters; no dilution, he presented to the world only a vast and cruel sincerity. victor tested him, challenged him, incited within vincent an array of deep feelings that didn't centre on the sole, dull contempt he possessed for the squalid remnants of humankind.
❛ they are just threatened by you, victor. ❜ vincent waves it off with a superfluous flick of his wrist, as though he were shooing away the sentiment. vincent is dismissive with the speech he airs, heart not really adjoined to the thought as his mind runs amock; perpetually alternating between one thing and the next. ❛ you are far more intelligent than all of them combined, and they are terrified for it. ❜

just fyi that big peter post doesn’t cover every little detail, just the big stuff. peter’s a character, not even a canonical one yet, so i’m probably gonna be talking about him for a while. that’s like trying to summarize every little detail about one of the party members in one post lmao

That response to my “Vecna being The First Flayed” theory has me thinking now. At first I thought that The Mind Flayer represented Asmodeus, as he and Vecna in canon are allied and Vecna is permitted to use his minions.
Tumblr media
Then you brought up the psychological leak and I thought a bit more, which led me to the conclusion that The Mind Flayer could represent The Shadow Queen. He and his “minions” are the only beings I can think of that can cross over to our world with little effort.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I’m thinking it’s a mix of both. Vecna may be trying to gain a servant/pact in Max so he can hold more power than The Mind Flayer and then maybe betray it from there? If that’s possible, anyway. Right now my theory here isn’t really fleshed out, but I think it’s a strong possibility with his roots in DND. What do you think?
First of all, thanks for the ask. This is some really interesting stuff that would definitely fit into the show's lore. The thing that stood out most to me was just how similar the queen sounds to the mind flayer. Jealous of the ability to tap into the flow of souls and to harvest knowledge? This definitely sounds like a euphemism for flaying. Especially with the fact the minions can cross worlds like we saw Will and Billy do.
Whilst this may not fit in with the show's D&D lore, the game has always been used more as a stimulus for the monsters in the show and less of a strict guide, so I absolutely believe this could be possible.
You mentioned in your ask that you believe Vecna could have been using Max to get more power than the mind flayer in order to betray him. However, I don't necessarily think this has to be the case. I think he is using her for power, but I think he will already be more powerful than the mind flayer. We saw the mind flayer die at the end of S3 and I think that maybe after that, Vecna was able to take over the Upside Down entirely, taking control of the creatures like the Demobats. Or maybe, Vecna tapped into the mind flayer somehow (or just got flayed) and leeched off of its powers until he himself had enough powers to take over the Upside Down. I think by the start of this season, Vecna will already be more powerful than the mind flayer. I mean, he has been stewing in the Upside Down for 20 odd years so he's definitely ready.
I think he'll be leaking into our world as an attempt to take over our dimension just like the mind flayer but using psychological powers in our world and then attacking in his red dream dimension where he is all powerful. I believe that he cannot physically come into our world and I also believe that he is susceptible to attack in the Upside Down, which would explain why he has lots of demobats guarding him. In terms of him possessing Max, I don't think he necessarily intends on killing her as like you said, he could be using her for power. If he can't enter our world, he could be using her as a vessel to do chaos like Creel before her.
Overall, Vecna's rise could definitely be linked to the mind flayer's downfall. This would be really interesting as it would be a direct consequence of the character's actions, which Vecna could and should use against them. Thanks again for the ask, it was a super interesting theory that I've tried to expand on. Hope this answer helped!
