The meaningful difference between an AI artist and a collage artist, in my opinion, is that a collage artist chooses the exact images they use, and that's not something most machine learning algorithms afford the user. That said, this is an incredibly difficult distinction to make legally and better promoted as a matter of individual artistic choice, and I think that law around AI art should focus on restricting and publicizing datasets, not the use of the algorithms themselves.

(anon who said we should publicize datasets) Honestly I think my real issue with AI art has nothing to do with like. IP law or supporting independent artists or whatever? It has to do with what happens when you put something like "Aztec" or "Chinese" as a prompt -- it bypasses cultural transmission and research to go with whatever has the most hits. Granted, this is not an error that humans can't make all on their own, but AI *does* make it vastly easier.

yeah, that makes sense! i also wanna clarify that i dont like... love AI art lmao. just speaking for taste, i have never seen any AI generated art that doesnt have an inextricable feeling of Wrongness in it, that I find personally very upsetting and off-putting. And I certainly think that you shouldn't be allowed to submit AI art to an art contest or something, like that one guy did a while ago, for the same reasons that I don't think you should get to submit auto-tuned vocals to a singing competition.

I think the real problem I'm having is I can't think of a way that the law could get involved in the whole AI art debate in a way that would stop the bad things but not have huge knock-on effects on regular artists. But my partner says I'm getting to focused on a hypothetical slippery slope that doesn't exist, so idk. Thanks for your input!!

We had actually done a similar collab a LONG whole ago (2 years) when I was just first starting my FNaF AU, so we just kinda...put these two in a room and see what happened:

But yeah! For the new collab decided to place them on the office this time around both cause last time we were kinda in Warfdice's world, so this time we did it in Funtime's, which I think worked great a n d gave me some practice with kinda redesigning it! Which reminds me...

For those who don't know, I've been trying to work on an AU of mind pretty much fusing Markiplier and FNaF, and for a while...it's been pretty much dead. BUT- I've now got some plans...so if you wanna see more of this or are interested in what this AU is about, maybe give it a peak if you want...

You've done several comics on the topic of Zed's season 8 antics and how they effected him mentally, but in your last comic about it, it seems like he didn't think he had any trauma for it to trigger. Did he repress his memories to the point where he legitimately forgot? Or did he just not remember how emotionally traumatic the experience(s) was/were?

Also, since Tango didn't seem to know exactly what was going on when Zed really started to freak out in the chamber, does that mean that most of the traumatic things Zed experienced happened after Tango and Impulse were fired?

Love this AU and your art for it!

He seriously downplayed what happened in the lab. He wanted to be all fine and dandy and really pushed himself to “get over it already”.

And definitely, the worst happened after tango and impulse were fired, but then again, neither of them had seen Zed have a breakdown quite that bad.
