in your sherlock comparison, who is who?

i align Jack more closely with sherlock and mark with moriarty! mostly jack and sherlock being uncaring and serious, then moriarty and mark being more unhinged and cruel.

but i have scenes from bbc sherlock that i would LOVE to see these two in. like i want the scene where they have tea before the Fall to translate to mark and jack having private, calculated conversations behind closed doors about their Creations, both dressed to impress each other over drinks. or them having a heated showdown in the Pool scene but this time its an ego with bombs strapped to his chest, unknowing of his fate as the two Creators argue. and omg i specifically had in mind moriarty's "im disappointed in you" spiel but its mark being ashamed of jack over some mind game he failed to win at.

i also feel that mark and good ole jim are similar because mark actually has the more obsessive interest in jack, with jack being more apathetic (but slightly deverting from sherlock in that he may reciprocate the interest in mark). like. just the psychological games they play. the mutual fascination with each other. the rivalry. the love? idk of course im overgeneralizing the shitty characterization of the show to apply to characters that have a deeper relationship haha BUT i had my brain rotted with sherlock brainworms when i was 14 and that was the only media relationship i came up with

Good question! Yes, it does!!

If homeless children wander into the daycare, they are checked for ID and family relations, where there usually isn’t all that much to go off. Since they have a set sign in sheet for all the kids they take care of, the brothers would let this kid sign themself in- this is a way to get to know the child’s name, instead of outright asking, as some kids can be hesitant to trust other people from their time on the street.

After looking up all relatives and family history that they can find, the boys decide from there what would be best. Sometimes, although rarely, the kid has aunts or uncles that are willing to take them in after swearing that the kids are returned to the daycare each day to A: give the new acting guardian a break and B: make sure everything is going smoothly (no bruises, new temperament, exc.) This comes at no additional charge as it is called a “transitional period” between street life and the possibility of a new home.

If there are NOT relatives, however, fazbear entertainment gives them two options:

1. Be put into the system, with the possibility of a new home, though it is not guaranteed.

2. Be put into the daycare’s “Sunny-Side Up” system, which does guarantee a place to stay until another place can be found for them.

This system works a lot like the system does, but the kids are actually run through the system in an alternative way. The daycare can substitute as a “foster home”, taking the place of a temporary place to stay while the kids are put online on the “Fazbear Ent.: Sunny-Side Up program”. This is a program that basically takes the place of a normal system.

People who would like to adopt the kids are told to go to the daycare and wait for the attendant. The attendant will let the adopter meet the child, talk, and see how the two get along for a period of about two-three hours, depending on how the first hour goes.

After that, they are put into a specified room (the one in the tunnels, with all those Moon posters and such? The playmats, little tv-)

(This one, to be exact. The endos are removed for safety purposes and deposited in other tunnels)

The adopter and kid spend at least a day in this room, and, instead of it being dingy, dark, and depressing, this room is redesigned to look like a house! There’s a kitchen, bedroom (small, but there IS beds), bathroom, and all those types of things. This is to test how both parties- both guardian and child- would interact in normal day-to-day life. If this test is successful, and the kid feels comfortable with this person, then the adult signs the adoption papers with the promise of returning with the child each day for check-ups, as would’ve been done with relatives.

If this test is NOT successful, the attendants kindly tell them that they WILL NOT be adopting this child, and they thank them for their time. A nice way of saying “plz fuck off”.

The room modeled after a house has cameras in each “room” and the attendants are told to closely monitor the feed through the computers on the security desk- this is one of the very few exceptions that they have regarding passage through that area. This is, of course, around their normal duties.
