(Young) Magnifico Character Sheet

Some prepro for my upcoming fan comic "Best Intentions." I am fully aware that this specific brand of brain rot is so specific that there are probably about 4 other people in the world who care about this movie, but I invite them to join me. I will begin posting pages starting in January 2024 and hope to keep a monthly update schedule. And if no one is interested, I'll use this blog as a place to house my comics.

But my god did they leave so much meat on the bone with this character. I have to flesh out his story or I will never know peace.

It's feeling funny to do this preproduction art, because we did this before, 10 years ago, back when it was gonna be an interactive novel developed by a company that dissolved before we finished preproduction.

The speed draw, as promised. Edited on tiktok to cut it down from 6 minutes to 1.5 minutes. Actual draw time was roughly 8.5 hours.

You can actively watch me struggle as I try to decide how to render the sphere. And also how the hell the foreshortening on his hands works in that pose. I truly suffer.

Free Storyboards and Animation Layout Templates

I have created templates for animation storyboards and layouts. The storyboards are modeled after the design used in Studio Ghibli productions. These are in a 2:1 aspect ratio, are in 300 DPI and 600 DPI variants, and are designed to be printed on 8.5×11” paper. While they’re meant to be printed, there’s no reason you can’t use them in whatever art program you like instead. If you think these templates could be improved, let me know and I will look into updating them.
