Hi, I stopped working on this blog when I was about 17 years old living in Ukraine. I graduated with my bachelor's at 20, turned 21 in August, and now live in New York City working in consulting. How many works do you have on AO3?

I have 92 works on Ao3! So quite a lot. A lot more if I hadn't lost all my motivation in the last couple years, haha.

What’s your total AO3 word count?

397,497 but I have a bunch of unpublished stuff at the moment waiting to be published.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

1) Vanilla Skies.

2) Naked Tears.

3) I Know You By the Flames Scattered Across Your Nose.

4) I’ve Seen the World.

5) I’ll Remember the Heat.

All of those fics above I now hate fml. I wrote them all when I was 13-14.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I always respond too all comments! I love all of them.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

So I think the last chapter of Thirteen Years (my Alain/Nelson series) is the angstiest ending I have but I haven’t published it. I will put out the first chapter very shortly. Besides that I think the last installment of my Jacky Ickx series was the angstiest thing I have ever written. I still cry about that it was so depressing to write. I think another angsty ending was Your Bittersweet Love--the one where Esteban tries to confess his love to Pierre and finds out he’s with Charles.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the strangest one you’ve written?

Nope.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

When I was younger I used to but I was writing on Wattpad at the time. Now I don’t, every is respectful on Ao3 :)

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do write smut! But I don’t like to. I feel like it is not necessary for the type of works I am writing. The smut I put in my fics usually focuses on a deeper meaning or communicating a theme that is in fic. An example of this is literally every smut scene in Thirteen Years lol. I personally just don’t like writing smut, haha. If it’s meant to be pure smut I try and make it more implied than graphic.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I have had many stolen from me before! I used to get so upset when I was younger and now I don’t care.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I haven’t!

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Such a hard question. I love Piarles, Simi, Proquet & Jacky/Ronnie the best of all <3

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I’ll just name every racing fic that is a WIP or something I gave up on.

1) I have a fic called Enemies With Benefits that is Mika/Michael that is unfinished. I don’t know if I will return to this one. It is unpublished.

2) I wrote a fic in my Piarles series where Esteban and Pierre see each other at Jules’s funeral. I also have a fic that follow Esteban and Pierre becoming friends again after the funeral and also the downfall of their attempt to repair the friendship. The plot surrounds a voicemail. I think in the future I will return to this one. I have to finish it. This is also an unpublished fic.

3) I have a fic about the moment that Pierre fell in love with Charles for the first time. I think I will return to this one in the future. Another unpublished fic.

4) Lust (and nothing more)--I still get comments on this one. Sorry guys I am sorry I cut this smut fic one chapter short lol. I wrote the chapter on Alain/Nelson and then created my Alain/Nelson series so I lost all interest in writing anything other than Alain/Nelson. I will 99% not be writing the last chapter. This is a published fic that I just not planning on finishing due to lack of interest. Writing meaningless smut just doesn’t appeal to me :(

5) I have a Seb/Kimi pic that I have planned out. It is going to be a pretty long fic tracking their entire relationship. The only problem is that I never started writing it, I just have it planned out in full, haha. I will one day write it. The theme is about regret vs guilt. It was inspired by a very important conversation I had with someone in my life.

6) I also have a Gerhard/Jean fic that is unpublished rn. I have the whole thing planned out I just haven’t written it yet. This will also be long. It will be a part of my Thirteen Years part II series. This is intended to be what came after the Jean/Nelson fic for Jean and Gerhard. It also has a lot of Gerhard/Ayrton in it.

7) I have something called “Snow” in my WIP folder which is three paragraphs of a Seb/Kimi fic?? Prob will not finish this one cuz I have no idea what I was writing.

8) I have a fic called The Light of Our Flame which is going to be the second to final installment of the Jacky series. I wrote a fic from Francois’s perspective, Jochen’s perspective, and now I have to write Ronnie’s perspective. It’s just so heartbreaking to me I can’t seem to finish it. I love them so much I’m dying. It’s unpublished.

9) I have a Bruno/Nico fic planned out. It is meant to take place after Ayrton’s death and center on how they fell in love as kids which grew into repressed feelings in adulthood.

10) I have a Nelsinho/Nico Rosberg. It’s gonna be angst lol. It’s unpublished.

11) I have a pic planned which is about to be about all of the moments Nelson regrets not doing something different. It’s about to be him imagining what he could’ve changed in the past. It’s unpublished.

12) I have a Niki/James fic that is not published that is about them living together.

13) I have a fic called All That’s Ours is Gold which is a finished fic I have yet to publish. It is in my folder awaiting publication. I have a lot of stuff I have already written but can’t publish because I need Thirteen Years to finish first. This fic is about marriage. It’s Nelson/Alain. That’s all I am going to say.

14) FINALLY LAST ONE. I saved best for last. I have a HUGE fic that is finished and ready to be published but I have to wait for Thirteen Years to finish. It is a fic on all of Nelson/Alain’s relationship from the perspective of Niki. It’s fdjkslafjsldf I love it. It provides a lot of insight.

What are your writing strengths?

Show not tell. I feel as though I am able to convey a lot of meaning with simplicity. A lot of my writing is trying to comment on the complexity of relationships, human emotions, our minds, etc which is why I have a lot of angst in my work. I think my work is able to describe small things in a way that have big meaning. Under that umbrella is metaphors. I think I use metaphors to explain things better than saying it.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Smut lol. I don’t like writing it so when I do I usually make it implied to focus attention elsewhere towards the larger themes I am attempting to convey. I also think sometimes I can get too wordy lol.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I love to. I speak English, French, Spanish, Russian and Portuguese so I love inserting other languages. I think it is a great way to add dimensions to a character and makes it more realistic.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

FIRST?? It was South Park lol. I was 11-13 and then I started writing mostly historical fiction and f1. I am 19 now so I feel like a grandmother since I’ve been writing fanfiction for so long.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Noooo, this is so hard. I think the Jacky series. It has such a deep meaning to me and I think it’s some of my best work to this day. Next up is probably the Jean/Nelson fic, my Pierre/Danill fic, the last unpublished chapter of Thirteen Years or this long Seb/Lewis fic. I have a lot of favorites but Jacky series def takes the cake that one is rough.

I wish you guys would go hard on drivers for not speaking out for Ukraine like you were after George Floyd… but all I’m hearing are crickets on both sides. It’s a war.

All I can say is thanks to Seb for his words of support and his choice to protest.

Nikita Mazepin: the Russian Oligarchy’s Infiltration of F1

I suppose it’s my turn to speak on the Nikita to Haas situation. In my years involved with F1 I’ve never been so disgusted by a choice of driver. There have already been numerous posts about his violence, obvious disregard for women and rich-boy mentality. While all these are horrendous, I want to speak on something that enrages most of all. Please reblog.

I live in Ukraine. I don’t know how large the community of F1 people living in Eastern Europe is on Tumblr. I have seen a few EE people/those living in EE countries but not very many. What I am going to speak on is very familiar to those who know of the human rights violations that are consistently committed in Russia.

To provide some context, within Russia there is a group of extremely power, rich men who are under the wing of their dictator Putin. This group of men are referred to as “oligarchs.” While many drone on about how the top 1% of the USA owns 20% of the total wealth, in Russia is a far worse. These oligarchs, of whom make up LESS than 1% of the population, own roughly 80% of the total wealth of the nation.

The conditions in Russia are quite horrendous. There’s the lack of ability to protest, lack of rights for women, murders committed against LBTQ+ individuals, wealth disparity, violence committed by the police, people who disappear, and individuals who can use their money in positions of power in order to sway things their way. Obviously there are far more violations I can speak on (this is a brief summary). Every single country has it’s issues, no country is perfect, but Russia... in Russia it’s far worse than I believe a lot of people on this platform ever care to know about.

For example, the brother of my ex-step mother was riding his motorcycle in Russia and the police chief of St. Petersburg’s wife hit him with her car. He spent many months in the hospital and now their family struggles heavily because he cannot work. The police chief’s wife came off scot-free simply due to her husband’s influence. Were the brother of my ex-step mother to complain, he and his family would be in serious threat of disappearing or being murdered. This is very common place in Russia. People are very often murdered, assassinated etc if they threaten those in positions of power or speak out against the government.

I am sure you guys do not want a history lesson and are here for the drama (a little sad, but it’s realistic). Back to Nikita. Nikita Mazapin comes from an extremely wealthy, prominent family in Russia. His father, Dmitry Mazapin, is a billionaire oligarch. Society and government is still drenched in the aftermath of the Soviet Union and Putin’s reign from 2001. In Russia, unless you are under the wing of the Putin, any large amount of money you are able to secure will and has been taken by the government. It is impossible to earn any surmountable amount of wealth AND stay in the country. You will have it all taken and you will be threatened with your life. Oftentimes journalists who speak out against Russia are assassinated foreignly. Car bombs in Ukraine... toxic gas in the UK. All this stuff is very common.

When I was living in Czech Republic for four years my family came to know a family from Russia who had fled with their wealth. In Russia, this is the only option. You must escape the country and live elsewhere if you wish to keep your wealth. This is similar to what Daniil Kvyat and his family did. Daniil came from a small Russian town and was not from a wealthy family. His father ultimately managed to amount enough wealth and his family fled to Italy around Daniil’s mid-late teens from my recollection.

In summary, I understand that Nikita is a disgusting human being. However, what is more troubling to me is the Nikita’s entrance into F1 marks the Russian oligarchy’s infiltration of F1. It is easy to criticize people such as Lance Stroll for utilizing their wealth in order to benefit their lives. However, Lance and Nikita are on far, far differing levels. Lawrence Stroll is extremely wealthy but his wealth does not tie him to a dictator. If Nikita and his father are billionaires, Russian and have ties to the Russian government this is very, very dangerous. In Russia, these men are completely and utterly unstoppable. They can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and to whomever they want. If they are able to stay in Russia and be this wealthy, Nikita’s family is in ties with a dictator government who murder, cheat, steal and defile the people of their nation.

Daniil doesn’t speak often on being from Russia. In fact, he does not live there nor hardly mentions it. Nikita and his father are proudly, proudly Russian. Any form of extreme patriotism is dangerous but patriotism enough you are in cahoots with a dictator? Horrible. I will try to close this off. In Russia, as I stated, oligarchs can do anything they please (as long as it is not against Putin). Nikita already believes he can get away with anything that he wants. Therefore, what trend does this set up?

An oligarch kid coming into F1 coming from a corrupt family. His family is one of the men who owns 80% of the total wealth of an extremely powerful, wealthy nation. This is dangerous. Vitaly Petrov’s father was recently assassinated. What comes next? It all makes me sick. This is why it enrages me that absolutely NO one is speaking about this. Yes, I understand Nikita is an awful guy who assaults women, punches his rivals and shoves other drivers off track. However, I hope what I have written has shone some light on another important and disgusting aspect of Nikita being in F1.
