Even though I’m a multishipper most of the time, I wouldn’t be fine if MiIeven was canon after the events of ST4, vol. 2 more specifically, and how the love triangle was handled overall. The sentence “I don’t care which one will be canon as long as all of them are happy” has been very common around circles that love both couples, MiIeven and Byler, but I can’t bring myself to agree.
I wouldn’t be fine if MiIeven was endgame after Will’s feelings were used as a prop to mend it. El should have herself told Mike how greatly she feels about him, or Will shouldn’t have to urge Mike to say “I love you” if the relationship was to be fixed. (However, I think they are doing this for a reason, but this is beside the point.)
Will is a gay boy in the 80’s, lives in a small conservative town that already hates his family. On top of that, he is terrified of coming out. Amongst everything else he has gone through, he does not need a storyline where his romantic love for his childhood best friend is neglected, turned into a plot device in favor of restoring a hetero relationship.
If they wanted to make Byler as an example of a tragic unrequited love, there are other ways to do it that doesn’t reek homophobia (and queerbait). The love triangle is not just a mindless fandom battle between who is better for Mike (or who he “actually loves”) like any other heterosexual love triangle in media. There is a difference between the two outcomes. One of them being filled with homophobic and disgusting writing choices that led to cause more unnecessary pain and trauma for a queer character and the other is a hopeful, refreshing ending along with another step forward in queer representation that the mainstream media lacks.

New to your page!
I saw you were writing a pt 2 to the Simon and reader being caught kissing?
thats been my favorite of yours so far and I’m curious if there will be more! Lol I can’t stop reading !
Welcome!!! I’m so glad you’re here ☺️🫶
I also dearly loved that piece, and did at one point have some ideas for a part 2. But nothing really jumped out at me inspiration wise. I had a couple ideas rolling around but nothing that was like “omg I have to write this.”
I have been very curious lately what it is about that specific piece people seemed to love so much. It’s at almost 11k notes, which is wild to me, so clearly it struck a chord. And honestly I’ve been a little intimidated to continue the story and potentially ruin whatever people thought should happen next.
So, I’m not saying it won’t happen. I’ll give it some more thought and see if I can overcome those feelings and settle my mind on a plot for a part two.
Thank you for the message and the support 🖤 it means more than you know!!

Have an assortment of random headcanons! These are pretty much all disability and aid item related, specifically leaning towards neurodivergence. (Look me in my eyes and tell me these turtles are neurotypical. I dare you.) Based on my experiences with my own neurodivergence!
All of the turtles use compression clothes, mainly for their knee and wrist joints, though Leo does so more frequently.
Donnie and Mikey have echolalia.
Donatello uses multiple mnemonic devices as a way to retain information, mainly little songs he's learned or makes up himself.
Raph has sensitive teeth and grinds them in his sleep or when he's stressed, leading to a lot of mouth pain. Donnie created a custom mouth guard for him that could withstand his bite pressure.
Mikey has an oral fixation. He used to fuel this by keeping a bunch of lollipops on him, but slowed that down when Raph yelled at him for the amount of cavaties he got from it. As such, he uses chewelry/similar objects to help. (Don't tell Raph he still has the lollipops.) April recommended it for him, Donnie makes it.
Mikey has hundreds of sketches and paintings, all featuring his family. He also has plenty of scrapbooks with photos. Pictures of just them, group photos, tickets, menus, stickers--if it has a connection to or reminds him of someone he loves, it's in the book. He made them because he's afraid to lose people and be without physical pieces of their memory.
While he does enjoy energy drinks and coffee, Donnie doesn't drink it for the "wake up" effect it gives many other people. Because of his neurodivergence, it actually makes him calmer, more focused/centered, and can even make him sleepy. This opposite effect helps him work!
Raph doesn't drink overly sweet drinks because it makes his teeth hurt.
Leo has bouts of insomnia and falls asleep in the most random places because of how tired it makes him. Donnie also has difficulty sleeping due to intense periods of hyperfocus on certain projects. Usually they meet each other somewhere in the middle of it and binge Jupiter Jim or Lou Jitsu movies until they finally do fall asleep.
Many of Raph's stuffies are sentimental and collectors items, and have a dedicated shelf in his room. However, he has a few that are weighted, and that can be heated or chilled, as comfort items. He even has one that is weighted and lavender-scented as a sleep aid.
Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey are all fluent in sign. They use it to communicate when one or multiple of them is overwhelmed and can't handle physically speaking. (Donnie especially.) Splinter and Casey are also fluent, and April is still learning.

The dumbest example of fandom for my previous post is Ajin fandom. The manga is very heavy, has interesting point about immortality, there are things to discuss. But when I looked at tumblr tag for it all I see is some yaoi between main character and his friend or worse the antagonist. For context main guy is like 16, most of his friends are younger than 19, I think, and the antagonist is 60-70. Its like fans don't even appreciate the source material's themes.
And I understand that most participants in typical fandom are women, so this romance-obsession is probably connected to the overall culture of female-oriented media to have romance. If we look at platforms with male-dominated user base that have fandom forums (like reddit) there is less focus on romantic aspects, but sexualization is still present, its amount depends on moderation.

y'all can hate a character how much you want to but what I hate about YOU is when you can't admit that said character had a development over time. you can't talk about them and use as "reasons to hate them" only their behavior at the BEGINNING of the story. it's like y'all don't wanna accept that they changed 😭😭 please grow up and be a little bit more objective at least
