he’s exhausted — & gods , he knows he was reckless . that was why she’d failed him , right ? that despite telling his pokemon to stand down , he endured hell on his own . he didn’t know how to give himself time to rest . this , he knows , is the end of his run in the league , because he knows that look . the one that says take care of yourself . learn how to . 

he leans against duraludon , lucario having calmed the hero down — ah , his entire team was worried about him . of course they were . cinderace taps her foot in a show of concern ( as if she’s impatient to just get him to someone who could help him — but then again , she’s always impatient ) . corviknight , metagross , & aegislash have found places to rest , knowing that atlas would want to spend some time speaking to psyche .

This time, he wouldn’t fail.

Modified lungs burned, but he refused to stop running. How long had he been running? It was difficult to judge within the dense forest, with no moon in sight. Taloned feet constantly caught on the thick underbrush, sending him sprawling, cutting up his arms and legs and face and wings, but he couldn’t stop.

This wasn’t the first time the hybrid found himself in this situation: his cage left unlocked, the hallways suspiciously empty, an escape just a little too easy. He knew it was just some kind of test, or sick game, and it wouldn’t be long before they found him and dragging him back to the labs thrashing and screeching. To say nothing of what punishment awaited him after.

Perhaps he was foolish for thinking this time would be any different. But he had to at least try. There was always a slim chance.

If only he could get out of this damn forest! If he just had the space to spread his wings...

As fixated as he was on this thought, and as dark as it was, he didn’t see the person ahead of him until he was literally barreling into them, knocking them both to the ground. One of Alba’s team? He wasn’t sure, but the stranger was on top of him and his wings were pinned painfully under their bodies. He didn’t have time for this!

“Move!” Barked Falkner, already trying to shove their body off him.

Yes, they are Dragons, with the following rationale and caveats.

1) Draconids are Dragons: If you have draconic energy, you’re a dragon.

2) Draconids are Hybrids: “Dragon” isn’t an all or nothing category, and it’s possible to be both a dragon and something else. Examples: Goodra is a Dragon/Slug. Altaria is a Dragon/Bird. Exeggutor is a Dragon/Tree. Draconids are therefore perfectly capable of being Dragon/Human without it erasing the Dragon Identity.

3) Draconids are Humans with a connection to Dragons: However, Draconids, especially modern ones, are heavily socialized as Human, and this affects how they interact with other dragons in ways not being a human wouldn’t. A Draconid/Dragonite interaction is going to be inherently different than a Haxorus/Dragonite interaction.

🍵Every fan has things that make them salty about the shows/books/games they love. What's some of the salt you have about Wakfu?

🍵 SALTED SOUP. // accepting.

You know me.  You know I love Wakfu. I breathe and eat the god damned show. I force all my friends to watch it. Leche if you’re reading this, you promised.

HOWEVER.

Sometimes (not too often), you just feel how french that show is, and how old it is (it came out in 2008), because of its, uhm... humor.

Now I want to preface that it doesn’t happen much, and as the seasons go on it happens less and less (the OVAs and season 4 are spotless in that sense) but there can be some slightly insensitive jokes. I get it that times were different, and it’s clear by how it was written that there was no real harmful intent behind (and again it’s a french show and lemme tell ya french people Are Not Woke) but the very few times it happens i Gotta look away.

Lowkey he cannot believe he’s debating on this. He’s sincerely thinking about bothering someone all the way across the world because he just adores that region’s variant of a pokemon he could catch in Route 116. Actually not even could, he did catch one in Route 116! His Delcatty was sitting on his bed curled up with not a single care in the world.
