Not me seeing people dislike the Harley fight in BoP when we have context for this in Batgirl/Joker Vol. 1.

Cass fans, I GET we want her to win every fight, but a hero having a known weakness isn't bad, I would rather writers treat Cass like this rather than what we saw in the recent Batman issue which is completely ignore any research altogether.

And I wouldn't want writers to prop her up like Bruce where we end up with moments like that where she somehow 1v1s Flash or some shit.

Also NO ONE WINS THIS FIGHT! There is no clear winner, Cass even says Harley ALMOST beat her, sheesh.

Just focus your hate on this, aight?

EDIT: TBH with you it's probably not even a “weakness” but more or so a tactic to stall Cass/Shiva, as everytime an example has been shown they still win technically, this most recent example being a stalemate.

I get it, this moment with Tim especially sucks and that's because he uses it to win, the other examples are actually less egregious because no one really loses.

But yeah, I can understand why Cass or even Shiva fans dislike this potential “weakness” for either character.

WC seems oddly afraid of having a character genuinely have blind faith in a system and then slowly but surely breaking out of it instead of just inmediately knowing something is off. Back in AVOS when Violetshine was with Darktail's group, she was a kid, following what was basically her adopted sister, she'd never had a stable homelife to compare the mess she was in, and yet she just simply knew that something was wrong and off. It's bland and makes the characters flat

The Kin are so comically evil I can't blame her lol but I do agree! I feel like it's a waste on both accounts: playing the Kin as cartoonishly bad makes it impossible to NOT understand why everyone isn't immediately suspicious of them.

I'm actually super soft on Violet and Darktail getting along, like I think it would be interesting if she had to reckon with the fact that someone she thought she could trust, that said he cared about her and understand what she was going through, was actually doing horrible things. But man, even without that, Violet realizing slowly shit is NOT right would've been better than immediate "this is bad" senses.

oh there were a few moments in the beginning where she had to fend off Val's offers for a job. Unfortunately for him, Ollie is a homebody who stays in her workshop, and has her maid/assistant Thea do her outside errands.

(I'm thinking despite her appearance Ollie is actually a very gifted technomancer/artificer. She can fix or create just about anything with enough time. which is how Alastor and her meet at first!

There’s a layer of dust hovering above the ground, kicked up from all of the commotion, and she barely has the presence of mind to guide in a gentle breeze, clearing the area so they won’t launch into a coughing fit mid-battle. Any moment now, the Noxx will be coming, but all she can do is stare at the man. The man who had just used the same kind of magic Noxx possess.

The light throws stretching, malformed shadows onto the surrounding walls, paints everyone’s faces in pale, washed-out grey that almost makes them look ghostly. The tunnel stretches before them, winding and dark and no different from every other tunnel they’d passed through. They’d been sticking to the larger ones, the ones that sloped upwards, in the hopes of finding another exit, but she can barely notice any change. She hopes it’s just because of how subtle the transition had been; not because they’ve been going in circles.
