Summary: Antonia wakes up on the wrong side of the city. [original fiction]
It’s incredibly hard, being brave when waking up blindfolded, hands tied, and having no idea where you are.
Antonia takes a deep breath; the smell is salty, musty, and stale. She can hear nothing around her but the distant crash of waves and the occasional seagull. She’s near the ocean, likely an old shipping warehouse. Not somewhere populated, with the lack of sound in the area. She’s in a chair of some kind, her hands tied behind the back of the seat. There’s nobody else in the building. She can’t hear footsteps, or breathing, or anything.
Well, it’s not the worst place she’s woken up.
The detective takes another deep breath. She has to be calm, even if she’s likely been kidnapped by the same serial killer she helped put behind bars. He’ll want his revenge to last, after all. She has time.
