Groppy (Grey Branch x Poppy)

Branch knew that the new baby princess existed of course, sometimes seeing her during announcements from the King.

Poppy learned of the little grey trolling when she was older. Being told by Peppy "Have patience and be extra kind to him if they ever crossed paths."

Branch lived in a Trolling group home. (Trollstice understandably would have resulted in a lot of orphans)

All the Kismet Trolls lived there too, but they were eventually adopted and fostered out, leaving Branch alone again.

Branch didn't go to school with the rest of them. He was already a smart kid and taught himself what he needed to.

His days were spent digging.

Other Trolls had given up on him by this point, not knowing how to help and just letting him do his own thing.

The first time Branch officially met Poppy was her 13th birthday. 🎂 This one was particularly big because Poppy was officially a teenager and she had organized this one herself.

This was the first of her hand made scrapbook invitations.

While he didn't attend the party, he happened to be nearby. This one was especially loud so he had come to warn people about the noise. (Very Trolls 1-ish)

And he finally met her. 💖

The first thing she did was smile that smile at him and say that she was soooo happy that he was here. 🩷

He told her to keep the noise down, and he left.

Whilst at the time he was annoyed, he remembers it being the first time in a long time that he felt someone had genuinely been excited to see him. They didn't look at him with pity or frustration or guilt. ❤️

Everyday Branch heard Trolls say that they thought Poppy was perfect. (He agreed) He already had a rough history with 'perfection' so he was more sour towards the princess than he intended. "I hate that you're perfect" 😔

Poppy originally thought Branch didn't come to her parties because he happened to be going to other parties at the same time. 🎉

When she found out he was being invited to parties but not attending, she was fine with it, it was his choice.

When she found out she was the only one still inviting him to anything, it broke her heart. 💔

She was determined to invite him EVERY.SINGLE.TIME

Even if he never ever ever came, she wanted him to always know that there was at least one Troll who wanted him around.

My newest AU that I have been so invested in creating. In this one, Branch and Poppy were childhood friends until he left Pop Village on his own, feeling abandoned by his brothers while mourning the loss of his grandmother (after escaping the bergens). Instead of waiting around in his bunker, he leaves to forget about anything tied to his past. Poppy remains at the village working to be a good princess and teacher, but still misses this one piece of her past. Years later, Princess Poppy and Branch reunite once again when she ends up needing his help...but he's a rock troll now? Can they rebuild what they once had even though they come from such different worlds now?

I have lots of plans and things for this AU but that's essentially the outline I'm working off of :) It's full of romcom tropes bc I'm a sucker for romance. I hope you like it bc I sure do!

Branch: It was unbelievable...

John Dory: Okay, alright, we wanna hear everything! Bruce, unplug the phone. Branch, does this end well or is Floyd going to need tissues?

Branch: Oh it ended very well.

Bruce: Alright, let's hear about the kiss. Was it like a soft brush against your lips or was it like a "I gotta have you now" kinda thing?

Branch: Well, at first it was really intense and then... we just sorta sunk into it...

Floyd: So were you holding her or were her hands like on your back?

Branch: No, actually first she pulled me close to her by grabbing my vest... and then I moved my hands up to hold hers...

Brozone: Awww...

Poppy: And then I kissed him.

Viva: Tongue?

Poppy: Yeah.

My favorite Broppy moment is when in the first movie Branch figures out their friend betrayed them and he start strangling the guy but then Poppy stops him, wanting the dude to explain himself and when he admits he is in fact betraying them, Poppy IMMEDIATELY goes in to strangling the guy as well XD
