With the first Monday in May comes The Met Gala. This year's theme is the second part of 2021's theme IN AMERICA. The first year was the Lexicon of Fashion, this year's theme "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" had a mission statement of celebrating the " storytelling and a historical context (of fashion), starting with the development of American fashion in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the emergence of an identifiable American style and the rise of the name designer.” The dress code was "gilded glamour and white tie."

This year's chairs were Anna Wintour, Tom Ford as honorary chair and official co-chairs Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Regina King (who did not attend).

Of course nearly everyone just did whatever the hell they wanted to do.

about my Oldest Child Cody AU, I was wondering, how do you imagine Priscilla and Brookyln acting towards each other during their rivalry over Cody?

I really don't see heating each other in front of Cody, or at least acting wrong in front of him. But I neither see Brooklyn heating Priscilla for also loving Cody. For me, it would be more of an "If you don't hurt me, I won't hurt you" situation (more with Priss).

(Disclaimer: A lot of Astrologers use different orbs of measurements for Astrocartography. My limit is 200 km because I have seen lines that have influences up to that point, and depending on the planet, sometimes more.)

Mercury: Lower Education, Communication, Knowledge, Friendships.

Mars: Passions, Action, Pain, Anger.

Jupiter: Luck, Higher Education, Religion, Beliefs.

Saturn: Karma, Restrictions, Discipline, Commitments.

Uranus: Unpredictability, Innovation, Rebellion, Technology.

Neptune: Illusions, Dreams, Spirituality, Intuition.

Pluto: Destruction, Transformations, Deaths and Rebirths.

Where your Sun lines are running through are places that you could gain or increase your fame or societal standing. And depending on the Angle of the Sun(DC, AS, MC, IC) it can also tell you what exactly it is that gives you that happiness.

☆ Victoria Beckham's Mars AS line runs through Madrid. When her husband David Beckham transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid, they moved to Madrid. Victoria Beckham was singled out for hating Spain due to her remark of Spain smelling like Garlic and giving off a terrible scent. Additionally, the Midheaven or Medium Coeli is the highest point of your chart and represents your Public Image and Success. The Beckham's are known to be one of Hollywood's longest standing marriages and have created a household name for themselves propelling both of them in their careers and future prospects. ☆ (Also, I just thought this was interesting) Victoria Beckham had her start in the entertainment industry as a member of The Spice Girls. Her stage name was Posh Spice (Venus) which defined her Public Image (MC).

I’m so nervous with who they’re gonna cast to play the boys. Especially John and Paul. I can’t think of ONE Beatle movie or biopic that did a good casting job. They never look even slightly similar to any of them and it pisses me off. If you were up to you, who would you cast for John and Paul specifically?

Hiya anon, thank you for asking me!

First of all let's look at them (argh! perfect)

To be honest, we are pretty much the same, I was super excited hearing the news, but now I am so scared to be disappointed by it. I have a feeling they will cast actors that are lesser known. That is, if they are planning to show the early days of the Beatles, John and Paul meeting. As someone who is not that really into movies as of late, I don't think my palate is large enough to know actors.

And it is so hard to pick someone because how could anybody ever be like John Lennon or Paul Mccartney. It's even harder to pick someone for Paul who is just so beautiful for a man. Maybe it would be really good to pick an actress to play Paul afterall (kidding, kidding).

Disclaimer: (I couldn't find a single actor with beautiful doe eyes and lips and a perfect nose for Paul.. I'm sorry!)

Ok here are some actors that made me go "hmmm" (feel free to add your comments on them... or any suggestions ;)

Jacob Elordi - as John or as Paul ... I don't really know to be honest - but I love his acting and his looks. He did a great job as Elvis Presley in Priscilla too and did you guys see his androgynous photoshoot?

Timothee Chalamet (who plays Bob but ?? maybe if he can skip out being George Harrison's boyfriend) - for John - strong brows - curly hair - jaw - I can kinda see it.

Blake Richardson who plays Paul Mccartney in Midas Man (with better hair) - his eyebrows and nose are really kinda similar to Paul's

Oliver Jackson Cohen (left - as John), Ezra Miller (right - as Paul)

Cole Sprouse (for Paul) - please don't torch me

Paul Mescal (for John)

Maybe I'll just rewatch AHDN over and over. Nothing beats the original for me.

Old Dominion, Priscilla Block & Adam Doleac – PPG Paints Arena – Pittsburgh, PA – September 15, 2023

When long time country music band Old Dominion brought their "No Bad Vibes Tour" to Pittsburgh's PPG Paints Arena, it was a night most fans will never forget. From the opening acts to the nearly two-hour set by Old Dominion, the show was filled with hit after hit.

Old Dominion is made up of some of Nashville's best songwriters, having songs that were hits for artists like Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and of course for Old Dominion.

The stage was a large T-shape and split the general admission pit into two sides giving everyone a good view. All of the acts used every inch of the stage to keep the show moving and the energy high.

Old Dominion opened their set with hit after hit including "Make It Sweet,” "No Hard Feelings," "Never Be Sorry," "Break Up With Him," and the hits kept coming. They took time to show off some of the songs they wrote by including "Save It For A Rainy Day," a song they wrote for Kenny Chesney.

The next song, "My Heart is a Bar" was the closer, until the crowd called them back out for a two-song encore of "Hawaii" and "I Was On A Boat That Day." There was a little bit of a country rebel streak in the encores as the show went past the building curfew by a few minutes. They really hustled off the stage after the last note. All in all it was a solid set turned in by one of the longest lasting bands in recent country history.

Taking the stage right before Old Dominion was Priscilla Block, one of a crop of new female country acts trying to each find a niche in the industry. Block began her career posting music online, and mostly on Tik Tok. After using a Go Fund Me to cut the self- penned "Just About Over You" and seeing it go viral, she had record labels falling all over each other to sign her.

Naming her fan club, and stage show, "The Block Party", she had a party atmosphere with her cross of country and southern rock, and only slowed down for the very personal "Me Part 2" which she performed acoustic on guitar. She only got to perform 7 songs on the night, and it seemed she was only getting warmed up when it was time to wrap it up. Block does seem to know her niche and her audience, and her songs cater right to the heart of them.

Newcomer Adam Doleac took the stage before Block for a very short set. Included in the set were his two singles "Famous" and "Doing It Wrong", but the crowd sang along with every song in his set. He worked the large stage like a pro and left the crowd wanting more.

Oldest Child Cody OC

I mentioned a while ago that I planned on creating an OC for my Oldest Child Cody AU, basically a reoccurring character to serve as Priscilla's romantic rival for Cody. Here's what I have so far:

Her name is Brooklyn Blake.

She would have dark blonde hair in a braid and blue eyes. She wears a short-sleeved yellow flannel shirt with a white undershirt, light blue jeans, and brown boots.

Many people would consider her quite beautiful.

I imagine her working at a Bakery. She specializes in desserts, such as cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. She's a talented baker/cook.

I also imagine her doing catering jobs too, especially for weddings. Her favorite is baking wedding cakes.

A believer in "The way to a person's heart is through their stomach."

Personality-wise, she would be pleasant. She's friendly, gentle, a bit shy to strangers. Those who know her best can say she's charming, creative, generous, and a total romantic.

But due to her daydreamer personality, she can sometimes get caught up in her fantasies and only see she wants to see, which sometimes doesn't match reality.

She and her parents moved to Griffin Rock when she was a teenager and she had a tough time adjusting, since she was shy and didn't know anyone.

She met Cody on her first day of high school. She was a freshman, and he was a junior. Cody, who was already presenting himself as perfect, helped her during her time at school, showing her around, helping her make friends, and gave her the confidence to participate in school events and clubs.

Since then, she's seen Cody as her knight in shining armor and has had a crush on him.

It wouldn't be after graduating that she would try to pursue Cody. She would bake special treats for him, invite him to get coffee, or invite him to a party with her friends in an attempt to get closer to him.

Cody would think she's a nice girl but would politely reject her.

But she doesn't give up. Deep down, she believes Cody is the only one for her and the fact he gently turns her down tells her that if he got to know her better, he might like her.

The sad truth is that she doesn't really know him, she only knows the perfect facade he presents himself as.

Cody's family like her and would try to convince him to give her a chance. And I imagine some people knowing she likes him and sort of expect them to eventually date.

A part Cody thought about going out with her since plenty of people sort of expect him to. But he wouldn't, mostly because he knows it wouldn't be fair to her to simply date her because others want him to.

This is what I have for her so far. I'll write more about her in the future, such as her rivalry with Priscilla and maybe more.
