I don't know if this is helpful, but here are some stages of my colored pencil illustration process. I'm not a planner, so I am intuitive with the colors and values, and just build up those things bit by bit and keep adjusting and layering until I'm happy with it (which, of course, involves many hours of Not Being Happy With It)

Someday I'll figure out how to comfortably video myself drawing, but hope this helps until then!

I drew this yesterday but the more I look at it the more it annoys me so I think I should stop looking at it 😭

This was an attempt at a “lineart less” style I found, where I use a red “erasable” pencil to go over my sketch instead of lineart and when I use my eraser the red pencil holds up quite well. I hadn’t tried it with colored pencils yet, and was quite happy with this until I added the red background 🫠 anyway, I will probably do more drawings like this in the future (i plan to do Bowie next hehe)
