Let's put it all in one thread:

• since 2021 abortion is impossible to get in Poland if you were r*ped, the fetus is I'll or is going to die (since the 90s it's impossible to do it on request). Doctors deny doing abortions even if life of the pregnant person is at stake. There are districts where there is no doctor that would prescribe you a contraception. In 2022 it was passed that pregnancies will be registered in official data base.

• abortion is impossible to get unless life of pregnant person or fetus is in danger in Liechtenstein, Monako, Malta and Andora. In many European countries where abortions are legal, they are restricted, impossible to get on request without any medical premises.

• In South America abortion is illegal or legal only when life of pregnant person is in danger. Women face legal consequences even for miscarriage. Kuba is an exception.

• 2022 it was decided in US that right to abortion is unconstitutional. Therefore many states will make abortion illegal. Even before that, assaults on people getting abortions and places where abortions were done were common.

I'm pro-choice... I've always logically known the pro-life's drive to make abortion illegal won't save lives. Babies or otherwise. I don't understand why that doesn't make sense to people... The facts *literally* don't line up and using religious rhetoric, biasing numbers, and making contraception and sex ed harder to access is like genocide... What is wrong with you people?!

There is no life in "pro life." So called pro life people are choosing death. They are choosing the death of afab people, the death of women, the death of trans people, the death of bipoc, and not only with their "pro life" stance. These are the people that prioritize a clump of cells (which is what it really is, for quite a while, in the womb) over living beings with lives.

I want every "pro life" person to imagine that they just took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. Now, add on to that by imagining that you are homeless, or in poverty in some way, or you were impregnated by your rapist or abuser, or you already have a child you can't support. Can you not empathize and feel a growing sense of panic? Panic from knowing that there is something inside you that you can't simply get out? What about being poor and knowing that that child will suffer after it is born because you cannot afford it? Do you really think that anyone in this situation deserves suffering, no matter how they got there?

Switching to the other side, imagine you are in your third trimester, and you desperately wanted this child, but you find out that it is dead. You probably already knew the sex, and started calling it he or she or any pronoun other than "it." You probably already started thinking of names, or even picked one out. You probably already bought clothes and other items for it. Now, imagine being told that it has to stay inside you until you go into labor, because you aren't allowed to get an abortion. Can you not empathize, and feel that grief? It is already horrifying enough for your child to die. Now imagine you have to live with a reminder that it is dead and you will not have a live child when it comes out. It is absolutely, inarguably true that it is inhumane to disrupt and worsen someone's grieving like that.

I know that no "pro life" person will read this. It'll probably just be people who've already thought about this before. However, I still really want to encourage everyone to think critically and empathize. Not just regarding this, but everything. People are not props or objects, they are *real* and feeling pain. Some of y'all (conservatives, primarily) do not understand this. And to that, I will bid you adieu.
