Well, so first off I have a whole sideblog for it @superphlyduskull :3c if ur interested

Second this is straight up like. The most invested I've ever been in a fandom tbh, it's the first time I've posted anything and the first time I've attempted fanfiction!! (tho I haven't finished or posted anything yet) I recently thought up a headcanon that ghosts see more of the light spectrum than we do and that thats also how they become invisible, by only reflecting light humans can't see. I'd like to make a little fic abt it I think! Maybe one where a bunch of bugs follow him around bc I think it'd be cute

I think what really gets me about this fandom is the potential for worldbuilding. The show did close to fuck all in terms of exploring its own lore, but there were hints everywhere of how the world might work, and it's SO FUN to play with!! It leads to so many interpretations that are all equally plausible! Plus the huge amount of AUs inspired just by the source material... the way it lends itself to crossovers super easily as well, considering Clockwork has sent Danny into a different universe in the show (yknow, to stop the timeline where his family and friends and teacher die because he cheated on a test, eventually leading to him destroying the world...... there are some interesting morals in the show)

The angst potential is also insane, and I'm actually interacting with angst a lot more in this fandom than I usually would bc its so beautifully handled a lot of the time. Between identity reveals going wrong and the Guys in White getting a hold of him and Vlad being a shitbag to Danny being the GHOST KING

Ghost King Danny is probably one of my favorite AUs, I think partially bc its really fun to explore how insane it is for poor Danny to be saddled with this huge responsibility, and also to see how much power that gives him? Like on the one hand thats too much for a kid his age to handle and I feel like I might be projecting a bit since I was responsible for more than I would've liked from a young age, but also it reeeally spices up identity reveal scenarios and can save him too much grief in others bc depending on the take, a huge amount of the ghost zone has his back!! Like uhhh No, you are NOT going to mess with our King, [insert possible antagonist here]

It's also super fun to think of what ghost culture might be like, as well as just how ghosts work! We see glimpses in the show, but again, nothing is explored much? I love the universally accepted headcanon that ghosts have a vital organ called a core (though how it works varies greatly from person to person), and the idea that there are multiple ways a ghost forms (like from a being dying, or just forming from ectoplasm and strong emotions or big concepts, or being straight up born??). I've also seen the idea that a lot of ghosts don't really mean harm to Danny and that ghost culture is generally more violent bc they're not as squishy as humans!

Also!! There's gonna be a new graphic novel which is sick as hell! We don't know much more than that, but hopefully Nickolodeon doesn't mess too much with the creative team, because I'm really interested to see where they take it (especially since I think bitch fartman doesn't have any say in decisions? I'm not sure on that tho). Either way it's new content and I'm excited to see where the fandom goes with it too!

I have also realized the reason I don't infodump much is because I'm terrible at explaining things and trip over my words and am hard to follow lmao, particularly in person. You'd think that as an actor I'd be a little better with words but naaah lmao. I need to rehearse them for them to come out right apparently

these are some great questions, anon! I’m gonna go through them one by one :)

how’d u get into writing?

not to be like, super cliche, but I’ve...kind of always been a writer? as long as I can remember I’ve been telling stories, and when I was too young to read or write I would dictate them to my mom, who would type them up for me and help me choose clipart illustrations to accompany them. when I got old enough I would always be writing; I attempted my first novel at age 9, and while that never really went anywhere I did finish the darn thing and it had some pretty sophisticated plot twists for a 9-year-old!

like, writing fic

around the same time I got into fandom! I was deep into Warrior cats (like. really deep) and I believe I started writing my first fics when I was like? 10 or 11? my memory is kind of fuzzy on the order of things, but I know I got an account on the Warriors forums when I was 9, and that I was already posting my fic there when I made my FFN account. I believe I was 12 when that happened, but who knows. I haven’t the faintest idea of what happened with those forums, but uhhh pretty much all of my Warriors fic is still up on FFN lmao. you could probably find that if you want to but um...maybe don’t?

my first Big Fic was a self-insert of...my entire 5th/6th grade class into the then-current timeline of the Warriors books...well. I honestly think that might still be my most popular fic of all time l m a o though I try not to think about it because Hashtag Cringe. though as much as I look back on that time with a “yikes,” I am very grateful for the Warriors fandom in a way? that place was so accepting and encouraging of OCs, of AUs, of completely disregarding canon, of worldbuilding that is completely alien from canon - it was a fantastic sandbox to begin with, there were so many ways to write stories and practically all of them were accepted and had fellow fans invested in them!

and being part of the silm community,

soooo I wrote Warriors fic until my freshman year of high school (wow sdjfhkdsjfh), which was when BOTFA came out, and I was absolutely wrecked by the ending and immediately started writing my own fixit fic. I was also super hooked on Kiliel! so that was my intro to the Tolkien fandom; and simultaneously, I joined tumblr, and, well, the rest is history tbh.

I honestly do not remember when I first read the Silm, but I kind of got into the more obscure parts of the Tolkien fandom through fandom osmosis, and I do have a vague memory of doodling the Finwean family tree in geometry class so it might have been later on in freshman year? that was also the same time I was having my Queer Awakening, and Russingon definitely contributed to me unlearning my internalized queerphobia, so probably around then.

anyway - queer awakening, tumblr, Tolkien, transitioning from FFN to AO3 - all of that was happening around the same time. I know I dipped my toes in the Silm fandom then, but I was still primarily a Hobbit fic writer focusing on Kiliel. toward the end of high school I kind of shifted to LOTR and (qp) Gigolas...but somehow the Silm fandom is the most active of the Big Three within the Tolkien fandom, and I was getting dragged further and further in.

it wasn’t until @backtomiddleearthmonth 2019, my freshman year of college, that I really dove into writing Silm fic! I picked some Silm-specific bingo cards and never looked back :D that was really not all that long ago but I am obsessed in a way I don’t really remember being even with TH/LOTR, I obviously cannot see the future but I anticipate hanging out here for a long time. the Silm fandom is great overall and there’s just so much material to work with!! <3

being Known, that stuff?

so I don’t really have a whole lot of context on how “well known” I am in the fandom?? definitely within the past year and a half or so I’ve noticed that I like, get asks like this, and get a significant amount of notes on my posts, and I’ve made a lot of fandom friends especially since I joined some Silm servers on Discord (hmu if you want invites; I’m on the SWG server and 2 general Silm servers and the Russingon server) this past year. and I have 3,000 followers as of this month - and while ever since I hit 1k I don’t particularly pay attention to my follower count I can definitely say that I have more engagement now than I used to! but it took me a long time to build this “audience,” I suppose; I’ve been around the Tolkien fandom since late 2014, so nearly 6 years of this, lol.

really the best way to build a following, in my experience, is to just post a lot of stuff. when I started making edits I got a lot more engagement, because for a long time I would post one every day! (I made them in batches and queued them; I didn’t actually make one every day lol...and now I’m too busy to do that, so I just make edits for events and whenever I feel like it) And I have [checks ao3] 145 works in the Silm fandom as of today - I’m fairly prolific! I’ve come to generally expect 3-10 comments on most of my oneshots, which is a lot more than I used to have back in the day. consistency and quantity are more likely to attract people to your work - and quality, of course.

also: how’d u build up the confidence to start posting meta/hcs?

I’ve been writing since I was very young, and I’ve been writing fic for like...11 years? I think? in that time I’ve produced a lot of garbage, but imo most of that was in my Warrior cats phase, so I came into the Tolkien fandom with confidence in myself and my writing. I’m also working on original fiction on the side (I hope to eventually become a published fantasy author, but right now school takes up most of my time that I don’t devote to fandom, which gives me more immediate gratification and also is just Very Fun) and I know I’m a good writer.

basically, I’ve been doing this for like...half my life, and I’m still fairly young, so I’ve had time to build up my skill and confidence and I know I’m only going to get better with time. you will get better with practice. like I said, I’ve written a lot of terrible stuff, and it’s only through sucking for a long time that I’ve gotten to the point I am now. and I am far from perfect; I know I still have lots of room to grow!

for meta and headcanons specifically, I started with writing fic, and then when I didn’t think I could stretch something into an entire fic I would just make a hc post. I have a vivid memory of writing my first meta in a notebook during driver’s ed because it was so goddamn boring and I had Thoughts about Tauriel and Thranduil!

in my experience, meta comes from having Opinions and wanting to share them and most importantly to back them up - you need to have sources! you need to have reasons! you need to have justification! otherwise it’s not meta, it’s a headcanon or an AU. which is fine!! I love hc/AU!!! but they are not the same as meta, and I’m a stickler for being accurate when it comes to meta. if you have sources and shit to back you up, that will help you build the confidence to share your meta.

sharing disinformation and passing it off as meta instead of just coming out and saying this is a headcanon/baseless theory/AU or whatever is such a fandom pet peeve of mine; it’s not bad for something to not be Accurate! you just have to have that disclaimer - and even when you’re writing meta, you’re offering an interpretation of the text, and you need to acknowledge that other interpretations also exist and are valid.

um. I hope this answers your questions? and sorry for basically word-vomiting my entire life story, lol. this post got long; the main reason I’ve written so much fic is because I really just cannot shut up for the life of me. sooo if you can tear of that filter of being shy and just. say shit. you can go so far~!

OH and one more thing - I can’t believe I almost forgot this - but part of being a writer is participating in the community. this is code for LEAVE A DAMN COMMENT IF YOU LIKE A FIC. that’s how I made most of my fandom friends before Discord! I follow @ao3feed-silmarillion and stalk that blog for new Silm fics; I read the ones that interest me and comment on them.

I know this is not really the most common way for folks to find fic but it’s so rewarding to interact with new fic, new writers, new commentors, new stories - you can find gems that don’t rise to the top of the kudos/bookmark lists; you become friends with your fellow writers; you can watch people grow and change; you support smaller content creators. yeah, you might not be getting Just The Best Stuff, but it’s so so so worth it!!

and if you make friends in the comment section of other people’s fic - I guarantee you some of them will go to your AO3 profile and check out your fic, too! and they’ll leave comments! this is a fic community, and that’s what I cherish about fandom most of all, tbh.

storm - what are cozy days in with your f/o like?

Whenever I think of cozy days, my brain immediately goes to rainy/chilly weather where we can cuddle up together and my brain short fuses. I'm gonna assume this is just like a day off or something though!

How I visual them together vs how I write them is odd because they technically don't act or accept they're 'together' until after the comics but I always write them like they're in a Steady Relationship while on base. I'm always writing a slight AU if you will. Or maybe it's after they get their jobs back at Mann co - I should highkey adjust that but No ♥️. No more thinking, just content based off my idealized universe.

There's definitely a point in their relationship where it's like 'I think I have to put in a little more work here'. I'm not saying either party is slacking but they're slacking ♥️. Neither of them really take action. Chef doesn't blame him or really complain about it because that's their nature, plus they don't know how romantic relationships really work or flow, especially with a person like him. Medic doesn't see an issue with anything and continues on with his normal business.

What I mean by slacking is, there's not a lot of quality time being spent together which would be fine if it wasn't both of their strongest Love Languages, which could help them strengthen their relationship. It's odd because they're 'romantically involved' but they don't spend a lot of time together for either of them to consider it romantic, simply because it's on company time.

ANYWAYS THATS JUST ME BEING CONVOLUTED. FEEL FREE TO JUST IGNORE ALL OF THIS.

Medic goes to bed pretty late and wakes up at a fairly early hour. Chef is a late sleeper and forced to be an early riser because their Actual Job is to make at least 2 or 3 meals a day (if they want something else, they're on their own but hate when anyone messes up the kitchen and will honestly, stand there and watch said person).

There's minimal time they can spend together if they want to do their own activities - for Medic, it's tinkering around with organs or in Engie's garage, for Chef, they're typically meal prepping or trying to tend to an animal or plant of some sort.

Medic is actually more direct about wanting attention and it's never been a problem because he's cautious about it. Chef is more emotionally inclined and willing to drop hints that they want more attention.

Chef probably has one day off where it's a complete free for all, for the rest of the team, which would be the perfect time to spend with Medic - If he wanted to stop working, that is. Just don't picture it but, Chef will literally sit in the medbay for hours just to be near the guy, but it isn't bad? The drone of machinery or the scratching of his pen is relaxing, or having his doves nearby is always sweet! Plus, he's prone to talking their ear off when he finds something interesting, so they'll chime in and have some back and forth.

But, yknow - sometimes having someone's undivided attention is nice and Chef is pretty dense when it comes to that and wonders why they feel so upset.

They swallow their pride and ask Medic if they sleep in his room one night and Medic's not as dense as Chef, he understands that they'd never ask for something so out of the blue for no reason and he promises to finish up his work early so they could head to bed together. Chef had nothing planned, they literally just needed that affection and closeness - since it was their day off Medic takes the hint and puts his work aside for the time being.

They'd probably sleep in and stay in bed a while longer before getting ready together - no uniform required. Chef isn't so talkative in the mornings, Medic's noticed, but they were happily fiddling with his buttons and tie, humming in thought before answering his questions. Medic's seen them out of uniform of course, but it's always funny seeing them in just a button up and jeans like … mom on the go vibes. Medic leaves his coat behind before making his way to the kitchen with Chef.

The kitchen usually has a couple people loitering around, grabbing their coffee or honestly, waiting around for Chef because they always make extra and these bitches are lazy. But the kitchen has now become A Medic Supremacy Zone and he has first dibs - the benefits of being w/ Chef I guess. The two would work as if the others weren't there, keeping their conversation between each other even if that means Medic tilting his head down while Chef leans in closer to reply. There's a high possibility the other have left them to their own devices, seeing as the couple was ignoring them / knows they won't be getting anything. Breakfast isn't extraordinary but it feels special since they actually get to sit across each other and share the morning today.

It's possible that they'd go out and run some errands today, but it's a cover to window shop and walk around. I'll be honest, they probably haven't had proper dates so it's refreshing. You could ask Chef what they liked the most and they're just like :] Yes.

Other times, they like to curl up and catch up with some reading (well, Medic at least) while Chef rests against him and skim over the words. They're not too invested in what he's reading but likes to have some idea of what he's talking about so they don't ask too many questions. (Very 'these words are big and english/german is not my first language + I can't read as fast as you can so I got lost 7 pages ago). Medic likes to watch Chef garden and tries to help them tend to whatever they're able to grow in the goddamn desert. He overwaters a cactus and looks away if it dies. Chef talks ab how they're growing mint and how it really took off while Medic's standing there like :] Oh, lets make tea with that. Because they're Old People (read: Medic is old)

ivy - how do you take care of each other when you’re sick?

Chef is easier to take care of when they're sick. They continue working until they're pretty beat but once they feel sick and a break doesn't work, they'll try to finish up what they can before turning in early. They see themselves to bed and inform whoever's near that they won't ne there at dinner and if they really cant figure it out, then come get them - other than that, they're barricading themselves in their room.

When they're sick they're REALLY sick but recovery time is usually a few days (depending on how bad it is). They basically hibernate and don't like being disturbed. They're used to not fending for themselves since they've been on their own for a while but really appreciate all the check ins Medic does w/ them, especially when they're all better.

Medic, being...their Medic, he definitely gives them a check up when they first begin showing symptoms and he can be a stickler when it comes to drinking fluids and eating properly. Chef usually has a finicky stomach as it is so Medic really urges them to drink soups and easy foods like bread and crackers. He checks in on them A LOT, even if that's just peeking in to see if they're asleep or not. He backs off when Chef gives him a cold stare from under the covers and minimizes his intrusions/tries to be more sneaky about it. He has colder hands and they let out a sigh when he puts his hand to their cheek or forehead to check their temperature.

Chef doesn't hesitate to take any medication he has for them, mostly bc they aren't fully coherent but they also don't have energy to care, in fact they have the thought that if he accidentally kills them, maybe respawn will cure them. Unfortunately, Medic debunks this before they can even muster up the energy to ask.

Overall 7.5/10, very good patient. Will refuse to get up and accidently falls asleep in the shower which scares the shit out of him.

Medic on the other hand is very stubborn and doesn't like to stop working unless there's something that physically stops him (ex: vomiting, serious injuries [unlikely bc medigun], etc). If he tricked the Devil, surely the man can beat the common cold or flu! Unfortunately he gets those full body shivers and feels terrible. He can be pretty dramatic when he's sick and everyone's subjected to his bad attitude.

It's Chefs turn to play doctor - they can tell by looks alone that he's under the weather. His face is flushed and he's a bit sloppily put together, which isn't *too uncommon* but his tie isn't tied and his glasses lamely slide down his nose. They tsk a bit while taking his temperature just to keep track of it before ushering him to his room.

He can be dragged to bed if persistent enough. Chef's firm hold on his arm is enough for him to get off his chair and have them tug him along. He doesn't have any room to argue with them as they look up at him, so he relents, stating that a short break would definitely do him good, but he'll be up and at em by tomorrow.

Chef is doting and becomes a bit of a helicopter parent when checking on him. This mostly consists of peeking their head in but not really stepping in the room. Every so often they'll wake him up to drink water and either hand him an ice pack or offer a cold towel and move to dab at his forehead and neck.

Medic hasn't been too keen on having others taking care of him bc that's HIS job, and he often tries to shoo Chef away by saying he's more than alright now. Sometimes he's caught sitting up in bed doing work or taking notes on something bc he's a bit restless when he's sick and stationary for too long.

But he's right. He's very good at taking care of himself - when Chef offers him food he'll force himself to eat some of it and he's drinks plenty of fluids without needing reminders. He kinda bosses Chef around, telling them to grab certain medications from the Medbay. They trust his judgment on his own health and bring him what he asks for but Chef keeps a mental note of what he takes and when. Don't need the doctor accidentally taking too many pills today!

Overall 6.5/10. It's hard to get him into bed and becomes restless fairly easily. He is persistent that he's ok after one day of rest only to be found sneezing himself away in the Medbay.

Thanks a lot for sending an ask!! and for the nice words.I am technically safe if that’s anyone’s concern, but Im going through a quite terrible time. Probably gonna put it in the tags because it’s quite hard (at least for me) but it feels strange avoiding to say it. Anyone thanks for helping making me thing about something else. Im probably gonna talk a whole lot, sorry in advance. I started playing duel links when it launched. I remember it was when I was in new year holydays with my mom and her partner in a little place in the mountain we rented for a few days. It may sound silly but that’s one of the new year I remember the best. Just chilling near a fire with nice food and playing dl while it’s all silent. And I think I played it quite a bit at first? I was bad but trying. Soon enough they added Bakura too so like. I was all the more invested. But then i believe my interest in dm started to wear off, and I played less and less. Sometimes to grab an event character, quickly not at all. Got back to it when gx entered but I don’t think I was super there either. Like I stopped when i unlocked Edo and Asuka and that’s about it. I still came back when there was event for new characters and all. And then Saiou was leaked. I remember when it happened, I was at one friend place when I receive this from another friend and let me tell you I spend a good few hours just hitting the sofa i was on with my arm for how happy I was (my happiest stimming is like a hitting movement, and i prefer doing it on surface im sure i wont break. the only 3 time I remember doing it was for my birthday, here, and when we rewatched s2 with my friend). And yeah Saiou kind of made me get back into it real hard. I HAD to complete the whole event from day 1 to the end. Also they soon enough added darklords and fabled and well guess who had to make Levianing canon haha. Darklords were still so fun, playing it on dl really helped me understand how to play it IRL. I still can’t believe I unlocked every single thing about Saiou, all of his levels, all of his skills. I even played some ranked. Since then Ive been mostly playing for new content? This time with the added interest of dialogues between interesting characters, tag duel, and little content like this. I am even more doing it that my friend stopped playing so i kind of provide for the both of us. I started Zexal World, and I’ll probably try getting kotori and then go back to waiting for various event?

And yeah I am so happy to see Zexal world! I really can’t wait to have more content for them all, and also to reach later series and qldfjd rn there isn’t that much characters but I am very hyped for dialogues between all of them. Also also, o’brian is coming it’s nice!! i just hope they fix darklord bug cuz I am not really interested in playing any other deck (maybe I should actually try making a decent Arcana Force one?). Also thinking about what’s to come, I wonder what personnality they’ll give to Sora. Since it seems to stay as close to early canon as possible to avoid spoilers, i guess it’ll be his childish personnality but... I kinda want to see him more as his neutral later self in a non world-ending situation? I want to be sure he’s doing good ;w; Also please put Zone and Aporia I want them to talk even if it’ll be horrible.

Though I don’t think Ill go back to heavily play it until there is a character im really interested in. Maybe Astral on his own though I don’t super like his deck. For sure though, Ill max out Thomas, or Aporia since they should be the first one to come between the character Im really, really excited for. thought I also want to see Sherry for her dialogues with Aki. and Antinomy of course. And fubuki (hopefully not as darkness it’d be more fun). And for Zexal pretty much everyone would be awesome lol. Oh also. I have not hope but. I can’t help to imagine if they added 1) crossover dialogues (but of course none of my fav will be concerned im sure ;w;) 2) an unpossessed Saiou. probably s4. like i know it won’t happen but it’d be so damn nice. Like first of because FINALLY I can play a game without feeling like im entertaining the light and hurting Saiou. Second because saiou s4 is damn cool. Third because i want to see him interact and god imagine s4 saiou talking with Edo? ;w; And uh. uh. they didnt put all the arcana force yknow. okay i know i know, the world and the fool just won’t be good to put in a game like dl but.... and those non-used voicelines..... Anyway, thank you! I hope I wasnt too boring.

a witch told me that its mandatory to use protection against yourself before spells and WOW OKAY THAT EXPLAINS WHY I NEARLY MURKED MY SHIT AFTER MY GOOD FRIEND WAS LIKE "oh! i know a great spell for moving on!" and showed me how to do everything..... i did it..... and then tried to kill myself like a day or two later, so like, yeah alright

plus the day before yesterday i took a bath that was promised to help cleanse my life of ALL road blocks.... MOTHERFUCKER, the very next morning i woke up depressed as a BITCH and with never ending sleep paralysis.

not ONE person went "hey but make sure you use florida water or salt or any sort of prayer or blessing to try and prevent bad shit"

Most of them went okay though. That sweetener jar failed, (but i didnt follow the directions,) the two times I did that glamour bath worked alright I believe, (the one event people were swarming to me, and the other I only met one person but they had felt ecstatic to see me,) aaaaaand those brownies I made that one time worked alright.

Nothing dangerous or terrible was in the brownies where one could go "WHAT????? YOU GAVE THAT TO YOUR EX???", and NO, bitch, im not the type of psycho to put bodily fluids in food. (And I see why the superstituon of "never let a woman make you spaghetti, never let a man make you tuna casserole" hold true.... that's pretty fucking disgusting.)

But nah, boxed brownies, cinnamon, honey, and just good vibes overall. It worked well, since he did turn a lot sweeter after eating them. (But even those who dont believe in spiritual shit could argue 'i mean what guy wouldn't be happy that their girlfriend liked them enough to make them a sweet treat?' So, yeah.)

Candlework always worked well for me. Just saying.

Aaaaaaaaaand hmm, outside of mainly just taking baths that were promising uwu good vibes and somehow getting even worse off.... not too bad, otherwise.

Probably gotta invest in more protective stuff. Just saying.

Also, I found out that the Hoodoo practitioner lady I follow charges like 250 dollars to do spells for others.... I know I am definitely the fuck not gonna do that, but WHAT? Is that common? Fuck that. Shes also white. So. Yknow. Maybe I shouldve avoided her in the first place for partaking in a sort of spiritual religion that isnt for her culture, buuuut i thought "well if the spells work and i, black, benefit from it, then is it bad?"

I am not trying to start vriskourse, or argue about her (since I dislike her) but I need to point a little thing. I think you understate the differences a bit in Vriska's and yours upbringing when talking about you being violent and her murdering. Killing a person is an act that drastically changes brain chemistry and as such has great effect on one's psyche as result of defence mechanisms and shitton of other things. This coupled with her brain-powers must have had a profound effect on a kid

the closest thing a living human could come to Vriska is a literal actual child soldier which I am definitely not

and like I said, it’s not so much what’s she done, it’s how she views what she’s done.

She doesn’t have any remorse, any guilt, she thinks what she’s done is correct, in the face of horror and violence and awful things. There’s no hope for change in her in her current state

the only exception being (Vriska) who I don’t mind as much, but every other Vriska? who it’s really clear where their mental state is compared to (Vriska) because they clearly show their conflict in comic?

My point is just, even at my worst I never thought like her, so I personally dislike her for it, I just see her as being absolutely worse than me, that’s not a statement of either of ours overall moral relativity, just a comparison between her and me

I’m also just highly against anything that implies that once a person does a certain thing or acts a certain way that theyre marked forever, even if killing changes your brain chemistry, even if trauma wounds you deeply. You’re not like, doomed to become awful yourself. Bad things that happen to you aren’t a poison that forces you to become a bad person yourself with no hope of ever being good. I’m saying this as a traumatized person, this isn’t me dismissing experiences or saying something didn’t deeply affect your sense of sense or won’t continue to affect your sense of self for as long as you live.

But it doesn’t doom you either. You can’t just say things like “Oh that person’s been hurt deeply, they’ll never escape that/they’ll always do bad things because of it” because then it just turns the other cheek and makes people forgive villains because they had a bad childhood or something so they can’t help being that way, dontcha know, they have no control over their evil intent because they’ve been poisoned by abuse. The cycle of a abuse is a just a permanent reality of life and once you’re in it you can’t escape, sorry survivors.

That way of thinking just doesn’t work for me, I can’t sit here and forgive someone of the terrible things they’ve done if 1) they don’t want to be forgiven in the first place and 2) It’s based on thinking that they have no control over their morality for one reason or another and have no wish to control it

And no amount of truly understanding in a perfect way the exact ways she’s been hurt is gonna change that for me, because the crux isn’t what happened, it’s her response to it. Which is never taken away from a person. Media likes to play up a lot the idea of someone who’s been so hurt that they’re past help, that they’ve jumped off the brink and no amount of healing will ever return them to being not monsters, and you can’t blame them because of the horrors they’ve been through somehow makes them lose all responsibility for their actions, but it just simply is not reality. It’s tempting to think that way, because it can be a self defense mechanism to think that way, it’s the brain’s way of trying to convince yourself you have no blame in what happened to you, which is true at the time of hurt, but then it’s just doesn’t stop extending to things past that, things that haven’t hurt you. A coping mechanism only helps in the situation it was built for, it can start hurting you once you’re out of the situation

Unless someone becomes mindless and loses their ability to reason entirely, they haven’t lost hope of morality, of choosing to be good, of the ability to change behaviors and intent without changing what happened to them. Especially if you’re still a malleable child like Vriska.

being abused isn’t a get out of abusive behaviour free card, no matter how horrific the abuse, and I can see how that statement wouldn’t sit well with a lot of people, but it’s because it comes from the other end of, there’s a line somehow, of how bad abuse can get before people basically give up on you, you become a lost cause, no worth of investment, of trying to heal you of caring about your needs etc and I just don’t believe in that line.

I can think of fictional characters who’ve gone through horrors that Vriska hasn’t experienced and still came out with the desire to be a genuinely good person and remorseful of any bad actions they took in a bad state so *shrug* and the kicker is there’s a version of Vriska who does exactly that! (Vriska)

It’s just not the one currently leading the ghost hoard who died or the major versions of Vriska or the one the comic spent the most time, so the percentage of Vriska’s I dislike is much higher than the percentage I don’t like, therefore I dislike her as a whole

everything would be soooo different for me with Vriska, if she just showed any personal inkling of remorse, like actual genuine remorse, not just upset that other people got hurt by what she’s doing/upset that she got caught doing something bad/only regrets that other people don’t see what she’s doing as good because that’s not what remorse is

so so far I only like one version of (Vriska) and it’ll probably stay that way

Gonna put the rest under a cut since it uh, got super long

Okay, so I know you say only male fictional characters, but when it came to the ones that aren’t... “human” romantic in nature (for lack of a better term?) I went ahead and prioritized guys, but I felt a couple gals might fit so I did include them.

Red: Cronus Ampora, Kurloz Makara

-Explanation

I feel like you would fit best with someone who is going to fit in a sort of way like I explain in the moirail section. Someone who is going to have thicker skin and not take the joking to heart, or need emotional support quite as often, but you can occasionally banter with! Someone who’s going to spend time with you, and nap with you, and just have fun, and be okay with you providing gifts a little more than physical and verbal affection.

Cronus Ampora - I picked at about the same level as Kurloz, I couldn’t really decide between the two! I felt like he would fit because he’s big on spending time with you, and despite a lot of sexual innuendos and such, he really is going to just be elated to spend time with you, and relax. He’ll invest a lot of time into wanting to get to know your interests, and he’s a little sappy, and would adore when you get flustered. That being said, he will want physical affection quite often (the boy is hella touch starved) so he’ll jump at any opportunity to just relax and cuddle.

He is a little sensitive, and doesn’t have very thick skin, but he’d probably banter playfully with you a lot, as long as the jokes don’t cut too deep. He might ask you to cut back on insults if they start affecting him, or he’ll bottle it up until he just lets it out, who knows! In turn, he’s going to be pretty clingy, and he might say shit that hurts you or is too aggressive without thinking about it, cause he’s got a bit of pent up rage and aggression that stems from his issues. All relationships come with problems, so.

Kurloz Makara - I felt like Kurloz might be a good fit, because he’s got pretty thick skin, and he’s going to like gifts a lot more in place of affection. He would playfully banter with you (although in sign language and gifs and such- how does he even do that out loud) and be fine with things getting insulting, he’ll say it right back! He’s going to love horror and such, and playing horror games with you is a mix of him not looking at the screen but at you the whole time (while he’s playing??? how tf does he do that) and him watching you play eagerly if he knows something fucked up is about to happen. He thinks it’s really really funny when others get spooked.

That said... you might have to ask him to tone it down, and he’s going to have issues cuddling, since he’s afraid he might hurt you, and he has nightmares sometimes about doing the same thing he did to meulin... But with some careful coaxing he’ll at least cuddle with you for awhile! After he’s more comfortable in the relationship he’ll be more willing to sleep next to you, and take naps, but like I said, all realtionships have issues and problems ya gotta work through. There’s no perfect fit in a relationship where you don’t take issue with something the other person does! As long as you’re both willing to put in the effort, most relationships are going to work through communication and compromise (though not all! nothing wrong with relationships not working)

Pale: Aradia Megido, possibly Dirk Strider?

-Explanation

So! What I feel that you would need as a moirail is someone who is willing to call you out if you ever take your joking too far. Someone who is willing to privately, but seriously, have a nice talk with you and provide constructive criticism when needed. You also seem to need someone who is going to be a liiitle bit of a hands off moirail, since you seem pretty good with yourself, but provide emotional support as needed!

What you are going to offer as a Moirail, is more of a physical confirmation in the relationship, probably some awkward physical affection, but primarily gifts, and joking, and just your general presence! You’d be willing to dole out the emotional support and call someone out I’m sure, but primarily it seems to me like you’re looking for more of a human best friend sorta deal than the trolls’ “emotional support system” definition of moirails.

I picked Aradia as the best fit for you, because, let’s be honest? All of the characters in homestuck are, for the most part, hot garbage who need serious help. Aradia is, admittedly, one of the lesser “i need help” characters.

Aradia is more of a hands off kinda gal, who’s willing to support you when you need it, call you out when you’re not acting right, and provide emotional and physical support when you need it! That being said, she’s not going to like, be super duper into your business, if she’s with you, she’s trusting that you’re going to reach out to her if you need her! She’s pretty sharp, and can tell when things are wrong for the most part, but she’s also a little flighty and might not notice at times.

She doesn’t care too terribly much about the physical gifts, as in, she really likes them! But she’s not expecting you to get her anything. She just appreciates your support and friendship! She won’t need your emotional help too often, she’s got a good head on her shoulders and she seems pretty in tune with herself! But that doesn’t mean she WON’T need you, it’s just that you won’t really need to be up in her business often. She’d also probably adore debates, and your love of horror would be a good mutual activity! You two could play horror games together (probably her playing and you watching/talking) and have fun! I could see her wanting to frequently spend time with you, taking you on digs, and exploring and stuff!

For Dirk, he was more... the only guy who I could think of who would fit? Most of the guys in homestuck really need someone there emotionally, which, I’m not saying you couldn’t do, I’m just saying that they’d need a lot more verbal and physical reassurance.

Dirk isn’t afraid to call others out, and never has been, although he is kinda sensitive to criticism. I feel like you two might have a rough patch at first, getting all your dirty laundry aired out, but after awhile you’d be pretty rock solid!

He’d look forward to presents, since it’s a confirmation that you care about him, and that you were thinking of him. He’s not super mushy though, so I wouldn’t expect a huge grand thank you or anything -he’ll definitely give you something in return though! He’s very touch starved, so you will have to put up with him suddenly and awkwardly wanting hugs (god he’s so fucking awkward) and he’s not going to give anything to you straight. He’s honestly just going to jump around the answers and give cryptic nonsense bullshit but it’s kinda cool too because you can really get into debates together while airing out issues with each other.

The biggest issue I can see is that he unintentionally (or sometimes intentionally) comes off as aggressive, and can really be an asshole despite having good intentions. It’s something you two would really have to work on.

I wouldn’t say he’s the best fit, but with some work and time, he could definitely be a good moirail for you!

Pitch: Kankri Vantas

Explanation

For you, I felt that you needed someone willing to go toe-to-toe with you, someone who has thick skin, and will constantly banter with you. Unluckily, that... isn’t most of the homestuck guys. Nobody’s perfect though am I right? Anyway... I felt like you would need someone who was willing to have a rivalry with you, to get both of your aggression out, and just argue and have petty little physical spats that don’t actually go anywhere.

That’s why I picked Kankri Vantas as a good Kismesis!

I felt like the two of you would have interesting, and long banter sessions, debating on topics left and right and getting petty at each other while doing so. He’s a softer sort of Kismesis, which is going to be the ideal considering he won’t really get physical except for petty little cat fights where nobody actually gets injured but you’re more just wrassling, yknow? He’s going to have a little bit of a thin skin, but arguing with you is really going to change that.

He’d be pretty willing to go toe-to-toe with you, and since you two are arguing so much, it’s going to help him open up his world view a little more, and it’ll help you open up and speak your mind a little more around strangers probably? I’m not sure, but I feel like it’ll really help you stay on top of things, especially comebacks, and such. He’s not very physically affectionate, and Kismesises don’t really do gifts but if you got him stuff he’d really like it... just not tell you he does.

Honorable Mentions: Equius, Karkat, Sollux.

I feel like Equius might not be the best fit, considering he might not respond well to criticism or your way of bantering, and it would weigh down on both parties because he’s very very stubborn. I feel like you two just aren’t the best fit, because he might get... fetish-y with being with a human and it would probably just gross you out in the end.

With Karkat, he’s one for banter but... he’s pretty sensitive! You need someone who’s got thicker skin than he does, because criticism is needed, but he might not take to it well, and it would become more like bullying in his eyes, then he would lash out and... well, yknow.

With Sollux I initially thought he might be a pretty good fit! But then I realized that he’s pretty... flighty, erratic, and he’s going to respond well half the time, and the other he isn’t. A kismesis for him is going to be going toe to toe with him in banter, mentally, and physically, and know when exactly to step off and when to have thick skin against what he says. Which I’m not saying you CAN’T, I’m just saying I feel like he might hurt you, or you him, without realizing it, and it would turn into a mess.

I’m in a group discord rn with some rper folks in my fandom (or tangentially in the fandom, since some people are multifandom/crossover friendly, and just so happen to have a main crossover verse in our fandom). And it’s got like some of the big names, as most do, like the most “in” blogs at the moment (generally people who either recently remade or recently joined), as well as some lesser-known people in more niche areas of the fandom.

And… A weeb. God. The only reason I know for a fact that they’re a weeb is bc I have /never/ heard anyone talk like that, even people who speak multiple languages (I speak English and mandarin since I’m first gen Chinese American), so I know really well how people who actually speak English as a second language talk. We don’t say “ni hao! Hi!” to random white people, or to anyone in general. We say one or the other (depending on the main language of the other person). The only time we switch between languages is when we literally don’t know the word/the word literally doesn’t have a good translation, but these words are never words like “hello” “goodbye” or “thank you”. Even their OCs talk like that and I cringe so hard every single time. I feel kinda bad though, since every time they talk like that the server seems to magically clear out.

But at the same time, I can’t bring myself to feel that terrible about them. The server sometimes clears out when I post too, and I’m just like -shrugs- I guess???

Oh and in the same server, yknow those popular kids I was talking about (well not actual kids that’s just the phrase I use)? One night one of them asked for like an on-the-spot critique in the channel bc they posted wanting a critique on their blog and no one sent anything in. So I gave them a critique, yknow, professional style: you tell them what they’re doing right, tell them what you think is not so great, and summarize/general things. They actually took it really well, contrary to what people tend to think, and couple other people asked me for a critique. Also it was like hella late, and like… Well, I also asked them to critique me (just like people in general). And… I mean I guess I sorta got a half assed one from the first person? It was like “oh I couldn’t really find anything wrong wow you’re a really good writer I’ll write something longer tomorrow.” It’s been tomorrow, and now it’s tomorrow’s tomorrow. But I’m fairly lenient when it comes to time, so I’m like “alright, that’s fair, whatever”. They also decided to follow me and be mutuals after the critique and said I should message them about plotting later, so I was like “ok sure!” And supposedly they don’t check their private messages often on discord (I guess they might have multiple accounts bc they have multiple blogs for different characters/fandoms) so it took them a bit to get to me (after a quick reminder in the group chat). At this point I’m still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I’m going to sit back a bit and like not invest too much in them. They run a fairly popular blog and probably get people clamoring to plot/write with them, and they have a bajillion drafts while I run a slightly less popular blog with much fewer drafts bc I prefer to keep at most 10 at a time. So,, not gonna invest too much time. It’s still a risk rn bc with me, I prefer to keep a select few active partners who I can give all my time and attention to, but really it’s just personal preference. I’ll return the same amount of care and attention given to me.

Oh and there are these two other ocs (I’ll call them Ha and Hu) who I just can’t stand. Our fandom is a game fandom, and there is a class system (in some ways similar to how RPGs have like mages and knights and healers and shit) and there are a group of them that we call the “canons” since they technically aren’t characters but they have a few unique personality traits and some limited backstory. But it’s the class system that matters most in this case. Ha and Hu are just two of the most popular classes/canons rehashed and given a different faceclaim, name, and gender identity. It really irritates me as both a writer and a budding game developer. It’s like they barely put any effort into their characters’ classes and just decided “eh I’ll take the existing classes and just give em a little twist and voila! Here we go!” The sad part to me is that their OCs are otherwise pretty good (aside from one design flaw in which a character is inexplicably young-looking despite being like 40, which,, can be justified, I just didn’t see a justification in the backstory). Oh and the red hair deal: redheads don’t actually have red-red hair. It’s actually closer to orange, at most kind of halfway in between. But not bright, cherry red like they drew their character. It just bothers me so much… I hope they ask for character critiques soon. I really really really hope they do so I can tell them that their class designs really aren’t new class designs as much as bad concept art of the existing classes. Ugh. Although tbh if they don’t care about improving their OCs or making them stand out, I’m fine with them staying the way they are. Let them have their fun. But if they do want to improve, I hope they ask for critiques at some point. I want to tell them one way to improve on their characters.

(OC) Don Cherry Drafts the Toronto Maple Leafs (An Alternate Reality)

The Maple Leafs had just defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-2, their fourteenth consecutive game without a regulation loss. General Manager John Ferguson Jr. was riding high, and he didn't care who knew it. He was just months into his tenure with the Leafs and he was already almost certain to be the first GM to bring a Cup to Toronto in 36 years. So he decided to celebrate with friends and a few bottles of wine at the best restaurant he could think of: Wayne Gretzky's, just a few blocks away.Half-remembered through the haze of cigar smoke and wine, it was one of the best nights of Ferguson's life. The soirée was a who's who of hockey royalty - incredible stories were being passed around over freshly microwaved meatloaf and cheese-sprinkled nachos. But the life of the party was CBC's Don Cherry. He had regaled the group with anecdotes about Ferguson's father - "one of the toughest guys you'll ever see in the National Hockey League, and he could put pucks in the net! Ya don't see that much these days!" But he also had a lot of concerns with the direction the league and the Leafs had taken - drafting gutless players who'd never win a Cup like Alex Steen in the first round. "If I was in charge of scouting", he assured Ferguson, "teams wouldn't be excited to be playing the Leafs I tell ya!"The next morning, Ferguson awoke with a splitting hangover and checked his answering machine. Don's voice bellowed out:"Hey Johnny, glad we could work things out last night. I won't let you down I'll tell ya that much!"Ferguson had no idea what he was talking about until he received the email from Cherry's lawyer. Attached was a picture of a hand-written but impeccably worded contract with both men's signatures on it.The signing parties of this legally binding contract recognize the following stipulations: 1. That Mr. Donald Cherry be vested with the full and final power to decide who the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey club drafts in the first round of the National Hockey League entry draft. 2. That the Toronto Maple Leafs not trade their first round pick in the NHL Entry Draft without the express permission of Mr. Cherry. 3. That the Toronto Maple Leafs not trade players that Mr. Cherry has drafted without the express permission of Mr. Cherry. 4. That the existence of this contract not be disclosed to the public unless the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup or the contract is violated. 5. That the violation of the above stipulations will result in the payment of $50,000,000 CDN to the estate of Mr. Cherry. 6. That the above be valid each year for the remainder of Mr. Cherry's life, regardless of changes made to management or ownership. To their horror, the Leafs' lawyers could not figure out a way out of this. From that day on, Don Cherry was the most important scout the Leafs had.Part II2004While Cherry was tempted by the notion of receiving Brian Leetch from the Boston Bruins, he was keen to make a swift impact on the Leafs' future. With the 24th overall pick, the Leafs selected G David Shantz of the Mississauga Ice Dogs. When he asked if this pick was solely based on that fact that Shantz played for the OHL team Cherry owned, Ferguson was assured that Shantz is a beautiful kid and a hell of a goalie, and always willing to sacrifice the body to block shots.2005When the Leafs' scouting department told Cherry that they wanted to pick some Euro named Tooka Rask, he was amazed that a guy as smart as Ferguson had hired those morons. They wanted to pick a goalie outta Finland? Guy probably had never even faced a slapshot before! Not to mention that Shantzy was already their franchise goalie of the future. Instead they drafted a real big kid with #1 defenceman potential: D Matt Pelech, a 6'4 member of the Sarnia Sting. He may not be an offensive guy, but 74 penalty minutes in 31 games? This guy's a Hall of Famer in the making.2006The Leafs barely missed the playoffs, in large part due to bad goaltending. When Cherry heard that Ferguson had tried to trade Shantz to Boston for Andrew Raycroft he was mad. When he heard that his scouts wanted some guy named Yeery Taloosty outta Checkaslovakia he was furious. You gotta beautiful kid like LW Chris Stewart on the board and you're gonna take some wuss? Ridiculous.2007The backstabbing son of a bitch tried to do it again. What is it with Ferguson and these Finnish goalies? You wanna give up a first for Vensa Toksala? Unbelievable. He told Cherry that it was a shallow draft and that the pickings would be weak at 13th overall. Ya wanna call LW Colton Gillies weak to his face? Here's a beautiful kid, big kid, 6'4 207 with size and a hell of a shot, plays the game the right way, nephew of a good guy: Clark Gillies.2008Ferguson was fired in January, and Cliff Fletcher was hired as his interim replacement. The team finally had a top draft pick, and Cherry was ready for a fight. Luckily, everyone could agree that they had to pick up a beautiful kid named D Luke Schenn. He can hit, he'll drop the gloves, and his tendency to ice the puck will give Cherry plenty of opportunities to complain about touch icing on Coach's Corner.2009Chris Stewart, Luke Schenn, and Colton Gillies made their NHL debuts and boy did they look big out there. Viewers of Hockey Night in Canada wondered why Cherry was constantly advocating ferociously for the Maple Leafs to call up David Shantz from the ECHL. New general manager Brian Burke, when informed by his predecessor of the Cherry contract, was completely non-perturbed until he realized it would stop him from trading away first round picks.The 7th overall pick demands real reflection: so many beautiful kids available. You got Jared Cowen, Zack Kassian outta Windsor - now there's a guy who stands up to his teammates. And then there's Kadri. TALK ABOUT HEART this kid is a hardworker, gets to the tough areas, God love ya. Cherry decides to let Burke take C Nazem Kadri.2010No way in hell is Don gonna let Burke trade those precious picks for some American guy who doesn't even defend. The Leafs, led in scoring by Chris Stewart, finish second last in the NHL. Brian Burke invests a full month trying to convince Cherry to let him take Tyler Saygenn. But it's no use. Sure Seygen's flashy, and Cherry's sure he's a nice kid, mum and dad raised him well, but when you've got D Erik Gudbranson on the board you're taking the 6'5 defenceman every day of the week.2011Another big season by Chris Stewart keeps the Leafs out of the basement but the rebuild continues. By the end of the season they end up with the 7th overall pick. Cherry tells the scouts he's considering two players: Sam Couttserier and Dougie Hamilton. The scouts try to sell him on the Bathurst product but it was never really in doubt: Hamilton is a beautiful kid, plays the game right, big shot from the point, 6"6, and plays for the Ice Dogs. D Dougie Hamilton is the guy. Fortunately for Hamilton, his parents unwittingly helped his career prospects by concealing his love of reading and museums from Cherry when they met at the CHL Top Prospects Game. Cherry also fully supports Burke's picks of RW Tyler Biggs and D Stuart Percy.2012At this point, Cherry can hardly watch a Leafs game without bursting into tears at the beauty of it. Kadri and Stewart at forward, Schenn, Phaneuf, and Gudbranson on defence. Sure the team is absolutely terrible, but they're losing the right way. The Leafs end up with the 3rd overall pick, and appear poised to draft talented centre Alex Galchneeyuck. Instead they pick up a real good guy: D Griffin Reinhart.2013With Stewart falling off a cliff and no offensive star to replace him, the Leafs do not make the playoffs in 2013. Instead, they draft LW Max Domi at 10th overall, good kid from a great family, an absolute beauty, you know his dad, his dad always left it all out on the ice, still a good friend, loves the troops, good stuff! The scouts don't even bother trying to talk him into taking a Russian guy named Valerie.2014Shanahan is now in charge and is furious that nobody mentioned this arrangement to him before he promised fans a full rebuild. William Neelander was never gonna be Cherry's guy. It's LW Nick Ritchie. He’s 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. Only three players scored more than this guy. He is tough. He can score. He has beautiful hands. Leafs have enough weak wingers.2015The Maple Leafs take a guy with size and skill D Noah Hanifin with the 4th overall pick, and Cherry almost dissociates at the thought of drafting an American over a beautiful Ontario kid like Marner.2016The Leafs finally bottom out. Shanahan begs Cherry to take a guy from the Southern USA who plays in friggin Switzerland of all places, Austin Matthews, 1st overall instead of LW Matthew Tkachuk. Beautiful kid, and what a family I tell ya what I REMEMBER yknow Keith now there's a hockey player they send him down to the desert, what a disgrace, there's a great player!2017With the 10th overall pick, the Leafs take D Cal Foote, big kid from a beautiful family, his dad, Adam, big friend of the show, always finished his checks, and that's why, yknow that's why he's got those rings! These goofs really wanted some girly looking Euro called Timoth Linegren, forget about it. Cherry is really starting to hate these hippy pinkos in charge of the Leafs.2018Leafs go off the board and select C Ryan McLeod outta Mississauga in the mid-1st round instead of trading down for Rasma Sandy (again with the Swedes? It's a nice place to visit sure but quit sending us hockey players!). John Tavares chooses to sign with the San Jose Sharks, a contender, instead of the mediocre Leafs. Desperate for a 2nd pair left defenceman, the Leafs sign Jack Johnson to a 5 year, 4 million AAV contract.EpilogueThe Maple Leafs now have this lineup :Matthew Tkachuk - Max Domi - Zach Hyman Patrick Marleau - Nazem Kadri - Andreas Johnsson Tyler Ennis - Brandon Leipsic - Josh Leivo Tyler Biggs - Dominic Moore - Leo Komarov Noah Hanifin - Dougie Hamilton Jack Johnson - Erik Gudbranson Griffin Reinhart - Luke Schenn Fredrik Andersen Garret Sparks Shanahan decides that enough is enough. Bringing his new General Manager Kyle Dubas with him, he summons Cherry for a meeting in the Maple Leafs war room. Grapes mockingly wears a pink three piece suit dotted with Shanahan's face."Don, we're here to negotiate. We need to get out of this contract.""Oh THAT'S what this is about then eh? Ya need more Swedes and Soviets out there? That's not how ya win a Cup!""We're willing to offer you 25 million dollars in cash right now to void the agreement."After a couple minutes of thinking, Cherry realizes that could buy every team in the QMJHL and fold them for that money. "Awright ya punks, you gotta deal. But these team's goin' nowhere if you pack it full of Euros and weaklings." He stares directly at Dubas and barks "Kids, you gotta always keep your head up out there or you're gonna get hit""Are you threatening him?""He knows I'm kiddin' around! I swear, these guys out here, can't take a joke anymore. Ya know Shanny, you were a real good player hard in the corners good Irish kid God love ya. Dunno why ya went so soft."Shanahan shakes his head "Don, the game's changed. You need speed and skill, not just big tough guys out there to win. It's not like when you were playing anymore."Don gets up and walks towards the door, but turns around before leaving. The old man's face is as orange as the jersey Bobby Clarke used to wear, now there's a player, eat your heart out yknow when we used to play the Flyers ya had to watch out for that guy because he's small sure but what a warrior he'd drop the gloves no questions asked. He has tears in his eyes."Yeah whatever Shanny.
