anyways, i'm not going to say tim is a paragon of sensitivity or anything, because he's not, but i do think the graysons' death is an area where he does actively try to at least be somewhat delicate and sensitive about discussing it.

like he very much actively does not want to have to tell dick how he knows, and he's very apologetic that bringing it up is hurtful to dick.

like honestly. this is actually a very neutral way of telling the story. very bare bones. "it was the best day of my life. then your parents died." which. is objectively true?? and tim is still very apologetic, especially when he realizes how he might be coming across. like. idk. obviously dick is the center of this tragedy, but it is fundamentally like. a super, super terrible and traumatizing thing for a child of indeterminate age (anywhere from 2-7) to witness a death, not just in general, but at a happy place like a circus. hell. it was fundamentally terrible for the adults at the circus to witness this death, bruce and jack and janet and every single person in that audience included. and while it's a little cringey that tim is narrating the worst day to dick's life to dick, this conversation only even came up because dick brought it up to begin with.

and at this point dick and tim have known each other for almost a decade in real time and have been explicitly written as brothers for probably about 4 years real time, so dick probably genuinely doesn't mind talking about this with tim. i do like the idea of how this probably progresses for dick over time. like, at first, dick is probably super, super annoyed at this thirteen year old kid who wormed his way into dick's personal tragedy but then as dick gets to know him and love him and that's his little brother now-

like how much it must crush dick (now that he knows and loves tim) that tim had to experience the same horrible thing that happened to dick and that dick's parent's death happening is what ended up bringing the two of them back together again eventually.

o fernando é um homem bem controlado quando quer, porque ele não faz absolutamente nada a festa inteira. só te observa. mas é na saída que as coisas começam a...acontecer. ele nem liga de dar um perdido nos amigos, vai atrás de ti no instante em que você deixa a boate. te persegue mesmo. observa da esquina quando você tenta abrir o portão velho do prédio e como é tão aérea que nem se deu conta que não o fechou direito. e é claro que ele se aproveita disso, tá?

nem fica surpreso quando encontra a chave reserva escondida no mesmo lugar de sempre, porque old habits die hard. vai entrar no apartamento de um jeito muito soturno, é até recebido pela sua gatinha, que morre de saudades dos cafunés dele, observa cada cantinho muito minuciosamente, percebe como nada mudou. inclusive a tua mania de tomar um copo de sujo e atacar o armário de doces depois de chegar de uma festa.

se encosta o batente da entrada da cozinha, as braços cruzados na frente do peito, o jeitinho flexionado faz com que os músculos parecem prestes a estourar a camisa. casual quando te diz que, "você deveria prestar mais atenção quando anda sozinha à noite, princesa". e a sua alma só falta sair do corpo, porque que porra é essa?!???!!!!! como ele entrou na sua casa? o que ele tá fazendo ali? ele te seguiu? ele tava lá o tempo todo? são tantas perguntas que ficam estampadas na sua carinha confusa e amedrontada. e ele acha isso adorável.

vai imitar o seu rostinho, cínico, ao mesmo tempo em que ri dos seus trejeitos. você não mudou absolutamente nada mesmo. e tem um momento bem ghostface da parte dele, "qué pasa, nenita? tá até parecendo que viu um fantasma..." (desculpa eu não resisti) e nem te dá tempo de responder ou reagir, tudo que ele faz é caminhar na sua direção, te faz recuar, assustada, "tá com medo de mim? poxa, assim você me ofende...", o que é a mais pura mentira, porque ele adora o brilhinho aterrorizado nos seus olhos.

quando você começa a balbuciar questionamentos que nunca se completam, ele já te encurralou contra a parede, pairando sobre ti. e ele é tão grande...te faz se sentir miúda, mesmo com aquele salto que te deixou uns centímetros maior. enrola uma mecha do teu cabelo no dedo, chega bem pertinho só pra sentir o seu aroma docinho, inala profundamente, quase rosna, faminto por ti. "sentiu minha falta, neném?"
