nothing to me will ever be more iconic than my beloved mutual managing to get me so invested in a (rarepair) ship for a media i had no previous interaction with that i was actively making my own headcanons abt their potential relationship dynamic and making song associations and engaging in others’ brainrot for months before i ever even considered getting in to said media. and now a year later i’m finally writing fic for them but still know next to nothing abt what they’re like in canon cause i still haven’t made it to that part of the story, the memories of the shared delusion are genuinely the only thing keeping me going.

He definitely pushes you to do stuff, and refuses to let you procrastinate, especially if it's something that can easily be done. If it's something more serious/emotional, then he'll be more supportive and he'll do it with you if it helps ease your mind.

If he EVER finds out the state of your home, he's gonna stay with you and make sure you keep it clean. After a month of staying, he decides to go back home. You promise to take care of it better and keep your word. He does inspections everytime he visits with you always talking about how you missed him. Cue blush.

He doesn't mind that you're not that smart, and if anything, kinda likes that you need him to explain things to you. It makes him feel needed. He also likes how you never push him about where he's been or what he's been doing. You just ask if he's okay and comfort him should he need it.

He notices that you're oddly good at calming him down. From talking him down from a panic attack, to letting him vent and scream. You'll even offer him a ride on your motorcycle, letting the cool, night air calm the both of you. It scared him at first, knowing that you could clam him to such a degree, but began to lean into it. Your presence made him feel...safe.

When he finds out, it’ll most likely be when the two of you are training. He’ll be pushing a little harder that day, and he'll swing a bit harder, denting your leg. Obviously, he's freaking out a bit, but you explain your cyborg nature. He'll ask why you never said anything, to which you expressed fear of him pushing you away. Maybe it could be the first time you see him without his glamor.👀

been thinking about how sometimes when trying to be the best version of myself, the biggest roadblocks to progress are ones i set up for no good reason, whether it's feeling self-conscious when exercising and so avoiding it, an anxious or defeatist attitude that prevents me from even trying, or procrastination, or...i'm sure i can come up with more if i thought long enough about it. recognizing the source of the problem is the first step to overcoming it tho...and slowly but surely, i feel like overall i'm making progress on at least some of those things (still got a ways to go w the procrastination tho 😬)...

I downloaded the Ensemble Training app. I can't believe that a game with anime boys in it got me to exercise. And boy, it made me realize that my body desperately needs it, because on the first day with the warmup stretches, my entire spine, lower back and hips just popped. Now I'm on my 15th day streak, and my motivation is to get better arm strength (because my upper body is like a wet paper bag in terms of strength) to be able to do a handstand like Midori-kun one day 💪. (Which btw. Why have we never seen him do a handstand, what's up with that?)

Omg the enstars exercise app! I haven't tried it out myself but I've heard that apparently it's actually not that bad? Like the actual exercises themselves are legit? And that's just so fascinating to me.

I'm honestly tempted to try it out myself for shits and giggles but I'm always worried that I won't understand what they're saying because it's in Japanese and that my little phone screen will be too small for me to be able to tell what I'm supposed to do.

My stamina and general fitness level are terrible, I really need to do more (read: any exercise at all) but I'm so lazy and tired and I procrastinate even doing the things I actually like doing. I can never seen to motivate myself long term 😔

🤔 What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

currently i’ve been thinking a LOT about “sundown land”, which is technically in my intro post but is really only a few words in my notes app and a ✨vibe✨ in my brain. its about Shrike (annoying bitter runaway slowly dying from a disease that resembles hanahaki) and Ariel (a very sweet, very spaced out artificial construct who’s creator has recently gone missing) on a roadtrip across a country littered with fallen titans (ala nausica and the valley of the winds giant warriors) while they try to find the mythical “sundown land”, which features prominently in a lot of popular childrens stories. it was originally gonna be a short story but now i get more novella vibes from it. “finding closure” the silly little soft fantasy book i think about it a lot i wanna write it soooooo bad.

currently i’m grappling with whether or not to cut the “true name” magic from lay me down (aka ghost story) and it’s been a whole grieving process lol. the concept of people in The Library(tm) using fake names was a very early thing i came up with while writing the story and it’s very very fun, but also doesn’t quite mesh with the wider apocalypse-juice-based magic system i have going on. i might wait until this draft is done to officially make a decision on this though JUST to see if i can make it work somehow, but it’s probably gonna have to go and tbh the plot won’t really be affected if it does. sorry pallas but i’m sure you’ll be able to live without your edgy little nickname lol

Random post alert (aka me ranting about school stuff + my review for the first mission in GTA TBoGT)

So, this was basically the last day of school for me (since the majority of teachers in my country are striking [due to low salaries] starting next week), and just like all school days, it was shit, even shittier than usual cuz I’ve been having beef with my benchmate for a while now and all I can say is that she snapped today because she claimed I “ignored” her the entire week. Well yeah, school is almost over, there’s the final exams (aka probably the most important ones in my life and which my entire academic future depends on) waiting for me to take them at the end of June, so I have no fucking energy left to listen to you crying about your bf not texting you “good morning” or sending you 3 hearts instead of 5 or other shit like this.

But whatever, I have no energy left to draw anything today either (sorry 😔). Since this was the last week of school and most of us (myself included) didn’t have enough grades, you can only imagine I had to study quite a lot this week.

However, I didn’t rlly procrastinate all day today. After waking up from a nap, I decided to start playing GTA TBoGT instead.

All I can say is that the experience so far is interesting (just like the last time I played this game), even if I just finished only the first mission.

I genuinely didn’t know what to do in the club when the game told me to “hang out” in it. I tried doing the dancing mini game, but after constantly failing, I just went upstairs and did the champagne chugging one instead (since, for me at least, that one’s easier).

Also, I love Luis’ self confidence when he’s drunk. My man literally went: “LUIS 😡 FERNANDO 😤 LOPEZ 😫 !!! REMEMBER THAT NAME ☝️ !!!” or “I 🙋‍♂️ WILL RULE 💪 THIS TOWN 🗣️ !!!”

I like it :)

What I don’t like tho is the fact that the missions are being scored here. I was like “🫤” when I saw I only scored 50% ffs 😭😔

Not exactly a fanfic trope, but something that I tend to enjoy is dark and troubled past trope for characters. *glances at Dazai* I have a soft spot for this all the time when I watch stuff😔 If done well, I really it helps to add depth to the character

1. Don't be afraid to write and start small

Authors of course would mean that you write, it's kind of a given. But sometimes it's very difficult to start it or it's easy to get wrapped up and think too far, such as writing a novel. I've been there too haha. And it could feel overwhelming and you may procrastinate on writing instead of actually doing it. So I recommend, start small, whether it is headcanons or short fics, my first fics I posted here were only around 500 or so words as well. It's okay to start small! It helps you to develop how to think of a plot, details and eventually you would begin to write longer and start to develop your own voice and writing style!🥰

2. Write more and read more!

Writing can be daunting sometimes, and you may not feel have the confidence or the ability to write well. But writing, like most things is a skill you can develop and enhance with time and practice. Through writing more, you can develop experience and improve with time and progression. And of course read more! Expose yourself to more different kinds of writing, tones, styles, voices, sometimes you may even find inspiration for your own writing as well, and it helps to develop your own writing style as well

3. Don't be afraid to be incoventional/be yourself

Maybe there's a certain style of writing that you're hoping to write in but fear others won't like it. I know that feeling very well, I was quite insecure about my own writing as well, especially those from the 1st pov fics that I usually do since 1st pov is not a convention in fanfiction. But honesty that's okay, it's okay to try something new, and well do what you like! Writing is something you do for yourself, it is your passion and interest. And you should feel free to do so if you have the confidence and desire to

4. Find your own voice!

I talked quite bit about "your" styles and voices in writing. But what is it? Well honestly it is just a style of writing that is you, you don't have to copy or imitate someone else's style to make it great, just write it how you would want to write it, how you would want to tell a story. Yes words are used by many people, but somehow make the words your own. Try out different emphasis points in your writing, my own is probably emotions which I love portraying. But it could be as simple as dialogue, or descriptive writing, or even storytelling (with perhaps unique prompts) or focusing in on a character!💕

5. Have fun

The last and most important thing is to have fun with it. Though it is hard sometimes to not stress about your writing, I personally feel you should not force things out of yourself, and remember that writing is just something you love to do and so you should feel so when doing it!

I absolutely love listening to music and/or podcasts. Be it concerts, karaoke or just me and my headphones, I constantly choose to surround myself with sounds. It helps to keep the anxiety away and supports creative efforts quite nicely. On that topic, I'm a chronic procrastinator unless inspiration strikes, so even though I really like writing things, it comes in waves, between which there is just "Gods please, just give me any kind of support in those tragic days of self-pity." The only rescue are fandoms. It can be anything, a tv series, a movie or a band that has an interesting dynamic. As most fandom people, I get very involved, learning small random facts about the content I consume and then torturing other people until they actually watch it/listen to it with me 🥰
