WALDEN FARMS SYRUPS REVIEW
(i have tried all except for the chocolate one)
1. PANCAKE SYRUP 🥞🥞
My favorite!! I’ve been making low calorie pancakes every single night for the last week or two and this is the perfect topping. Zero calorie/sugar foods will never taste quite the same but this one is pretty close. It’s also great with a cinnamon sugar tortilla
2. BLUEBERRY SYRUP 🫐🫐
This one is also delicious on pancakes. It tastes very fake but not any more fake than other higher calorie fake syrups. i’ve been eating this one straight from the bottle lol
3. CARAMEL SYRUP 🍯🍯
So good in drinks. This one has a bit of a weird taste so i don’t recommend it with food but it tastes just like regular caramel when you put it in iced coffee. Super great for drinks but not as good by itself or with food
4. STRAWBERRY SYRUP 🍓🍓
Just got this one yesterday but i’m excited to use it in more foods. It has a bit of a tangy aftertaste and it does taste fake but it’s still delicious if you like that fake strawberry syrup and are looking for a low calorie version. i would really recommend this on vanilla ice cream
Please reply/reblog if you’ve tried any other walden farms products you like. or maybe some you think people should avoid

Would you mind sharing what brand laundry detergent you use? I've been struggling to find one in the US that doesn't smell strongly of fragrance even though they claim to be free of perfume. Thanks <3
For sure! The ones I switch between regularly include:
-Ecover zero range (I also use their dishwashing soap)
-Seventh Generation Free and Clear (This one has a mild chemical smell to it but it’s not perfumed and it doesn’t cling to the clothes afterward. I know a lot of folks with MCAS use their free and clear stuff.)
- Aspen Clean which is the current one I am using and have had no issues with. It does have a mild detergent-y smell straight out the bottle, but it doesn’t affect my skin/trigger asthma/migraines, and nor does the laundry dry with any noticeable scent. I actually liked it so much I bought it in bulk right before the pandemic hit, and now use their subscribe and save feature, cause knowing I’ll get another delivery before I run out is super helpful for my ADHD.
-I did used to be able to use the Whole Foods Organic Laundry Detergent, and while it still has no smell, they did change the ingredients at the start of 2020, and my skin didn’t like it. Which sucks, cause it was by far the cheapest for the most amount of detergent. I did try to persevere with it, but it just wasn’t worth the rashes for me. But I do think it’s a good product for folks without my weird additional issues.
Tide claim to make a Free and Clear range, but it just reeks. Idk what they put in it, but it still smells like perfume to me, and I get headaches from trying to use it. I think the Arm and Hammer Free and Clear Range is also a hit or a miss for some people.
Powder detergents that are free and clear ranges (like Planet) can also work well for people trying to avoid fragrances, so if you’re really struggling to find a liquid detergent that’s fragrance-free, maybe try the powder. It’s also really easy to make your own washing soda by heating baking soda in the oven, and I like to use that sometimes to give things a boost or to soak linens in to keep them white/remove any stubborn stains. (Also works great for cleaning other things around the home without any chemical smells.) There’s a good method listed here. (I did try to make sure I’m not linking to some weird cult/republican homesteading blog, but I also didn’t read their whole blog, just in case someone finds out they’re part of a cult or something. Like so many homesteading blogs are, unfortunately.)
I don’t use fabric softener cause that shit is just bad for your clothes, the environment, and always Stinks, but when I did have a tumble dryer, I used to use woolen balls. Worked great on the bed linens and towels.
I know some people just use straight-up soap nuts, but they don’t appear to work very well in my hard water area :)

CBD: The Sensory Experiences
CBD is one of marijuana's most researched compounds and is also present in hemp, a closely related plant. One important distinction between CBD and marijuana is that the former has just a minimal quantity of the cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol. At the same time, the latter is said to have included a significant amount of the cannabinoid delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Discover and learn the potential hallucinatory effects of this chemical on the brain and its most prominent feature probably mentioned in this article right here:
CBD levels in cannabis plants might reach around 40%. On the central nervous system, CBD is known to have anti-inflammatory properties. This could result in a variety of health advantages in the body.
However, it is essential that consumers only consume CBD-safe products and good quality as many people find CBD safe and well-tolerated. CBD might interfere with some medicines or supplements, so anybody interested in using it could first ask a health professional. Check disclaimer on profile.

TV/movie/music/games ice of all your favorite heroes. Plus KISS.
I was fascinated by these. They were designed obviously: they were products of creative thinking. They were abstract art in a way. The essence of KISS, translated into three colors: black, red, white. Star Trek—“phaserberry flavour”. I used to think about such things as a kid, long after I had finished my ice cream. No wonder my parents were always worried.

My Luxurious Shower Routine
(+ my product recommendations)
Before I shower, I brush my hair and usually if it's time, I apply an enzyme mask to my face. As mentioned in my skincare post, the steam helps to activate the enzyme. This is also a great time to dry brush.
When the water is warm I use Truly's adaptogenic spray just for that extra oomph. While showering, I visualize all the bad energy or stress, etc being cleansed and washed away by the water.
I always wash my hair first - and since I only wash my hair one to two times a week, I rinse and repeat. Then I use a hair mask. I'm currently using this one. I leave this in (and the enzyme) until I'm finished with everything else to let it work it's magic.
Next, I wash my body with a gentle shower gel. After This, I use a body polish or scrub to slough off dead skin. If I need to shave, I do so after these steps. While still in the shower, I apply a body oil or conditioner to moisturize my skin.
After I get out, I pat dry with a towel. I then mist on some toner, apply body serum, then lotion. While I apply my lotion, I say affirmations.
I love this shower routine because like any act of self care, you are showing your body what it's worth. Putting in effort to not only your appearance, but to your overall health makes you look and feel so much better!
shampoo - Amika Normcore Shampoo (the scent is amazing in all their products)
mask - Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind hair mask (you can also use coconut oil, but I recommend using this before you shampoo then following up with a conditioner)
shower gel - Right now I'm using Kiwi Botanicals Nourishing Shower Gel, but I also love the brands Truly (if you haven't noticed), Lush, and Necessaire for body care.
scrubs - I love love love Truly's Blueberry Kush scrub, but right now I'm using Tree Hut's Tropical Glow Firming Scrub.
shaving cream - Prince by Lush, Coco Cloud by Truly, The Shave Cream by Billie
oils/conditioners - Bluberry Kush body oil by Truly, and really any of these from Lush.
toner - Truly Beauty Volcanic Rosewater All-Over Hydrating Mist
serum - Truly Beauty Mary Jane Glow and Anti-Cellulite Serums, Necessaire's The Body Serum
lotion - I really like Hempz (Age-Defying and Fresh Fusions Citrine Crystal & Quartz are my favorites) body conditioners. Other good brands are Lush, Truly, and The Body Shop.

Anyone who has remotely curly hair and dyed their hair knows— it’s a BITCH to get that curl back due to all the dehydration that your hair goes through in the dyeing process. So, I give you this:
Neil stops dyeing his hair so he starts to get more curl back.
But he doesn’t care enough so he doesn’t use the right conditioner and he brushes it with a BRUSH and he does it AGGRESSIVELY, etc.
Andrew secretly looks up how to care for curly hair and starts to subtly change Neil’s shampoo and conditioner with kinder products.
Hides the brushes for a comb.
Makes it a habit to put his hands in Neil’s hair after a shower (with hidden product in his palm obvi).
Just to get Neil’s CURLS back.
(And it works.)
