More Narnia Thoughts on Uncle Andrew (the ultimate cringe fail villain man).
Okay new people who have recently followed me as I’ve (very bravely) been posting about other non-MBS fandoms. More Uncle Andrew thoughts.
As much as I’d like a Narnia spin off about his childhood, I’d also love to see him in a spin off about Digory’s life after Narnia, because Uncle Andrew goes to live with them after Digory’s mother gets better so that Aunt Letty can finally be relieved of the burden.
What on earth must that have been like for Digory?
The books say Uncle Andrew was too scared to try magic again, and became “nicer than ever before” but was still a bit of a creep and liked to talk up how hot Jadis was and how he totally had a chance (so we know he's still delusional).
But imagine what that was like for Digory (and Polly when she visited every summer).
They’re living this idyllic life with Digory’s wonderful parents in the estate they’ve inherited, and then at 3pm the man who ran unethical scientific experiments on them stumbles downstairs after sleeping in until the late afternoon to pour himself a glass of morning brandy muttering under his breath “a dem fine woman, shame about that temper” as he hobbles back upstairs. Polly visits Digory’s family for Christmas and Uncle Andrew is just… there. What would they even get him as a present besides brandy and cigars? I’d suggest a self-help book, but I think most of the advice would go over his head.
My point is: if someone ever wrote or made a tv or movie spin off about Digory and Polly after Magician’s Nephew and how Digory became the professor and what his life was like during those in between years, I would enjoy it, but it better include the comedic potential of Andrew in the background of every scene being an absolute disaster and human train wreck (even if he is no longer actively doing crime).

Characters who play chess together frequently are definitely not just friends…
Tumblr media
I mean... I only really have two different examples, but still!
Tumblr media
While one is making their move, the other is watching lovingly. AND its the fact they play it often as well... and with no other character in the show!!!

Headcanons about when the Pevensie siblings returned to England (the first time)
When they came back to England through the wardrobe and they returned to their younger bodies, naturally all the scars they received in Narnia disappeared. All but one, the one in on Edmund’s stomach remained, the one he got at his first battle. No one really knew why he still had it, why it hadn’t disappeared it just didn’t. It was there and it served as a constant reminder of the white witch, that the experience had been real.
Everyone noticed a change in the Pevensies when they came back from the countryside. That included their teachers.
Lucy was suddenly a very clever girl, not that she hadn’t been before, but now she had a maturity to her. Her reading ability had improved immensely and she wrote the most beautiful poems.
Edmund’s demeanour had turned a whole 180°. He was more strategic, less rash. It was way more difficult to make him mad, he usually just responded with a witty comeback. And he seemed to put more effort into his work. He had always been smart, but now he was outstanding. He passed all his classes with ease, except for history that is (he kept forgetting that they had never had a king named Frank). He had also gotten very much better at chess, there was no one in the whole school they could beat him, not even the English teacher Mr. Evenly that had gotten very far in the English championship in chess. (Let’s pretend that exists even if it doesn’t)
Susan stood straighter and had a more regal look to her demeanour, not in a way that she expected everyone to obey her or anything like that. It was just very difficult not to respect her. She had gotten very good at resolving conflicts and avoid violence.
Peter had also changed a lot, he was more mature but also more rash in his decisions. He started acting more with his fists (that didn’t really start until it had been about half a year). He did write amazing novels though, stories about battles. Battles with medieval methods and weapons. The details were incredible, it was almost as he’d been in the battles himself.
They all had gotten a whole lot better at swimming. Edmund managed to save a man double his size and weight when he went through the ice. Lucy was always very fast and her technique was like nothing teachers had seen before, it was like she had been taught by a fish. (Possibly mermaid or nymph of some kind.)(Same goes for the others, I just can’t really come up with something)
All of them had nightmares but they had also become very good at controlling and hiding certain emotions behind a curtain or wall.
Edmund often got panic attacks during the cold months, especially when it snowed. Susan started making him something warm to drink every time she noticed it was getting colder or she saw snow falling before school, Peter wrapped up and cuddled Edmund in blankets and Lucy just came into his room with her warm smile and sat and talked with him. With time he wasn’t as sensitive to cold and snow and the panic attacks died down but the small rituals of the siblings having this cosy bonding time with one another continued for a lot longer.
And through all of this Helen was an amazing mother, she might not know what the change in her children was caused by but she always helped. Through panic attacks and frantic studying, she held them after nightmares and she just kept being their mother. She was their mum and raised that just as good as Narnia had.
Hope it was to your enjoyment <3

My hot Narnia take is that the Pevensie children, though undeniably Odd and Uncannily Grown on their return to England, do not actually stand out among their cohort of World War 2 children. They’re not the most traumatized kids in their boarding school, they might not even be the most traumatized kids on their street. One of Lucy’s friends came on the Kindertransport and lost her entire family. One of the boys down the street who Edmund used to play with lost his baby sister in the Blitz. The Pevensies, who stayed together, got their father back in some capacity, and maintained a general sense of truth and justice and evil witches being defeated with minimal casualties, were probably considered by their teachers to be jolly well adjusted. Yes, they do have a few strange habits and a rather grownup look in their eyes, but they don’t hide food in their dormitory beds, they don’t compulsively cover the windows or flinch at sirens. Peter occasionally jolts awake calling for his squire but that’s fun, that’s charming, maybe he’ll be a professor of the classics! His dormmate has dreams of bombs falling and there’s less that can be done about that.

Bloomington
CHAPTER 1
A/N: I saw someone on tumblr say how they wish someone would write Bloomington fanfic as if the reader was Jackie and that's exactly what I'm gonna do so credit to @loverllyhurtswithoutyou for this idea! It was technically 2 years old, the request but better late than never. I'll try to update as much as I can but I am a senior in hs and get busy a lot so no promises.
Y/N's Pov:
It's my first day at college! I'm so excited. I pack up the last of my t-shirt shirts and sneakers. I guess that's it. I sigh. Let me double check I have everything.
Shirts, jeans, hoodies. Check, check annd check. Time to transport all this luggage to the car!
I look out the window and see trees and what seems to be farmland. Hm, that's pretty cool. Wait. Did I pack deodorant... I pray I did...
Goodbye home. Hello college. I see a big brown building come into sight. Is this it?? Are we here?? I think with excitement. More buildings nearby each other appear.
"Well Y/N my dear, we are here" says my Mom. I get out of the car and look around. There are a bunch of other people here, with their parents. They must also be moving in. I wonder if they know each other. Or have any friends yet.
"Earth to Y/N" says my Mom. I jump. "Huh, what?" I say confused. "I said which residence is yours?" said Mom. "Oh.. hold on-" I reach a piece of paper out of my pocket. I unfold it. "The Lake Residence. That's where my dorm is." I say.
"Hm. Let's look for a map. This place is huge." My mom says. "Ah there it is! It says we are here. And we need to walk straight and we'll see a big sign that say the Lake Residence" my mom says. I nod in approval.
Wow I can't believe. I'm finally here. I've always wanted to go to college. Being a child star had its ups but I missed being a normal kid and going to regular school.
a/n: stopping here for right now. unknown how many chapters there will be as the movie is long and i don't know how long i will make each chapters.

This is halfway a head cannon halfway just something fun I thought about at 1am.
Edmund’s emotions had always been a bit of a mystery. Before their ‘interesting stay in the countryside’ he almost never displayed anything other than anger or a taunting smile. After they were crowned and during the whole of the golden age he hid his feelings well, always put them in the back of his mind, didn’t let them take over. It was a good treat for strategizing wars and making decisions as a king, but when they later returned to the land of Spare Oom and England this ability was noticeable as more negative. He was resigned and didn’t show barely any emotions, sure small smiles and frowns but not real, strong emotions. He let them brake him down on the inside but did not show it by habit.
Sometimes the boy would just force himself to cry for the sole reason of it feeling good. He never told anyone about it before his older sister walked into his chamber to find him with a tearstained face that looked so genuinely happy that she first didn’t know how to react. It was one of the few times Susan actually saw him letting his true emotions come to light, instead of turning them to what he wanted them to or pushing them down. So she just sat down with him on his bed and hugged him, not to stop him from crying, but as a way to tell him it was alright to let himself feel.
He seldomly showed strong emotions, unless there was snow, sometimes only a cold breeze would make him get and frightened look in his eyes. He had a panic attack at school because he looked out a window and saw it had started snowing. By that point his teachers had gotten used to the resigned personality rather than his old hot temper so they naturally halfway panicked as well as they didn’t expect the well behaved, resigned and calm Edmund Pevensie to get a panic attack during an English lesson (even tho he had started to have more of a formal, almost regal, way of speaking and writing since he came back from the professor’s house).
