#program: autodesk sketchbook for android

Hi, found you recently and would already kill for you ❣️ Just wanted to ask, which program you use to draw? I've been on a quest to learn digital drawing and I'm doing research on what program would be a good one.
Love the way you draw Draco, seriously, love the long hair
First of all there's no need for bloodshed, would you like a biscuit instead? Please, they're free if you're joining the cult🍪🍪🍪
Secondly, the program I use? May seem unconventional and odd, because it's not Ibis, or Procreate, or Photoshop or any of the fancier, popular ones...
I actually use ✨️Autodesk Sketchbook✨️ one of the most basic, free drawing apps on android🤣
Tumblr media
As far as I know, not many people use this one, but it's simply what I'm used to🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media
And I'm sure you'll find out what works for you as well! Maybe it's this, maybe it's Medibang paint, who knows where you'll go?!
I wish you good luck on your journey to becoming a digital artist, if you need anything else I'll be happy to help🤗

Tried Autodesk Sketchbook for a hot sec for my tablet (android tablet), cuz I noticed it came with a pen, so I was like, well shit, I guess I could draw with it??  Here’s Elliott.  This actually might be my fav pic I’ve drawn of him.
Then they immediately updated the app and took out the Copic colors.... :(
If you know any other cool android art programs....hmu.

HI YOU GOOBER i was just wondering what website/program u use for ur art. im very new to this being mentally I’ll thing (digital art) and I immediately fell in love with ur style. thamks bye have a terrible christmad (/j)
HI!!! Uhh, I use many different programs actually :
- Procreate : 10 usd - apple only
- Medibang : free + subscription - apple/android/windows/mac
- Ibispaint : free + subscription - apple/android/windows (though I heard the windows version kinda…sucks. But I never tried it myself so maybe I’m wrong!)
- Autodesk sketchbook : free + subscription - apple/android/windows/mac
I also have clip studio paint but I rarely use it and I only use the demo version. And sometimes I use the notes app too!! (Because it’s fun,,)
All of the “free + subscription” ones can be used without paying! It’s just for medibang and ibispaint you have to deal with annoying ads :-/ sketchbook doesn’t have ads though. Not sure if the subscription applies to windows/mac…I only use my ipad (and rarely my phone…)
If you use the computer and tablet (or a mouse/trackpad) I HIGHLY recommend fire alpaca!! It’s free and will be free forever!! (At least….for now. But I doubt that’ll change any time soon.) There’s nothing wrong with checking out mspaint either! Once you get the hang of it, it’s fun to use!
(And thank you <333)

Hi!
Love your art and style so much!
What program do you use?
Thank you anon 🥰
So I'm kinda hiding my face in my hands but I use Autodesk Sketchbook. It's just me and my lil android tablet, and it's not super sophisticated, but I only started playing with digital art a few years ago and this was free and had no ads lol. And I just kinda got used to it? I'm a painter at heart so really don't need anything fancy - i don't even really understand blending modes?? (Don’t look at me like that, real digital artists) Although I will admit I very much appreciate layers and an undo button :)

Time for the latest piece! This one is a doozy... Tonpo is my Warforged Armoror Artificer (Right) that I've been playing in a game with my friends @tylerrino , @pastelsouthernbelle, @poi_keys, and my friend Angel, who may or may not be on Instagram. lol. He started as the homunculus (Left) of my Hobgoblin Artificer, Ji'shan "Dragonfly" Hosho - and I decided when I joined their campaign - originally as a guest - that it'd be fun to be him as a character in an AU where he was an actual robot instead. ... I loved him. The Party loved him. And then I joined permanently ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Oops. Tonpo is the living form of what's called an "Anisopterix." - a type of personal weapon developed by Ji'shan to mimic the capabilities of Wizards despite not having magical abilities. He was developed with the money and blessing of a Goblinoid criminal organization known as the "Hive." - who all have code names related to insects - Mantis, Bumblebee, Aphid, etc. Ji'shan was their weapons master, known as Dragonfly - and developed Tonpo under mysterious circumstances. Tonpo got to experience him very little in the AU - finding out that Ji'shan was kidnapped by the Hive very shortly after awakening. Stranger still, despite being programmed to be a helpful, cheering, supportive bot - Tonpo has bouts of episodes where his eyes turn Fuchsia, and behaves far more violently. Nobody knows why, and his master is gone. The only thing Tonpo can do is look for him - and help who he can along the way... Lately I've been in a drawing funk, and I can't do it much when I'm not at home. I REALLY enjoy Photoshop, and have had trouble adjusting to other programs. But recently, I got an android tablet with a stylus - and a free copy of Autodesk Sketchbook. I love it. I can draw on the go now. And while I certainly have my criticisms with Autodesk (CLIPPING MASKS PLZ) - I had a lot of fun doing this one. It's an experiment trying to get adjusted to the new program and MUCH smaller screen - as well as applying some new techniques to a style I'm more familiar with. I'm loving the results. #dnd #dndart #dndcharacterart #oc #originalcharacter #digitalillustration #digitalart #warforged #robot #art https://www.instagram.com/p/CmVfhZjNCyV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Scrolling through the WIP tag and saw your art. I used autodesk sketchbook for a really long time before switching to Infinite Painter.
It's like $7 but it's basically procreate for Android. I found it a bit easier to use and it has more functions.
I acknowledge this is completely unsolicited advice that may not interest you
I appreciate your ask!
I really like using Autodesk Sketchbook, as it's very simple and I enjoy using it.
If I ever get the chance, I think I might check out Infinite Painter, as I do like seeing if I can work with other art programs! Especially since I do think I should exercise my program flexibility.
Thank you for your information and advice!

All you need to do - is to follow the instructions below: Choose the most suitable option to install the font and add this code to your site (paste it immediately after the opening tag ): Locate the texture, select it, and tap Open. You can connect the font Sketchbook to your site, without downloading it from our server. How do I add fonts to Autodesk SketchBook Android? Use the in-line editing tools to make changes to the text.

How do you delete text in SketchBook? Importing textures in SketchBook Pro Desktop. How do I import a font into sketch? Flick. Tap to stretch and distort the text, creating perspective. How do I add fonts to SketchBook? The Beginner's Guide to Sketchbook Pro. In the Format Text dialog box, edit text, add symbols, parameters or properties in text, or change the text formatting. To scale a font any further, return to the Text window and increase/decrease the font size. Though tecnically you are installing them to your iPad and Sketchbook is recognizing the font for use.

If you have some missing fonts that are available for freeload (i.e on Google Fonts), FontBuddy will display a tiny message. Doing some of my design work in Autodesk, and I’m liking the result for one of my tees. Here it is again: another video of how I made this week's design. Add the Font entitement to the Sketchbook app, making sure to select 'Use Installed Fonts'. Install missing fonts, or look for fresh ones in the catalogue. Your account is what you use for everything you do with Autodesk products and services, such as Fusion, A360, Sketchbook, 123d App, Store and much more. Android version of SketchBook has limited font support. SketchBook supports all system and native fonts normally associated with Windows and OS X, as well as most additional user installed fonts. also, is there a page or post or something that shows all the 360 fonts in one picture so one doesnt have to click on each one to see what it will look like? In the toolbar, tap. In both PNG and vector the panel, tap Library choose Google., sketching, and for illustrated art ), this creates an alpha channel font list - SketchUp Autodesk Sketchbook Forums archive, and for illustrated art installed font listed in the tool. Start typing in the Edit Text Layer window. Adding an image in SketchBook Pro Desktop. I've closed and reopened the program to see if it just hadn't registered the new font.

Autodesk sketchbook for mac sierra

#AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK FOR MAC SIERRA UPDATE#
#AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK FOR MAC SIERRA ANDROID#
#AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK FOR MAC SIERRA PRO#
I am speculating because the feel was too slick and "unpaper-like".
#AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK FOR MAC SIERRA PRO#
I had her try my iPad Pro but she didn't take to that, immediately. I know some of the people she follows online use one of the stand-alone Wacoms (I forget which Wacom lets you use it just as a tablet) and she is interested in that. She has been using just her finger and producing amazing results.Īnyway, she said she would like to get something with a stylus to get more serious about it.
#AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK FOR MAC SIERRA ANDROID#
If there’s a way to fix this that I simply haven’t found, please let me know, otherwise, please consider this feature for a future update. So, my very creative, 14 year old daughter has been loving using Autodesk Sketchbook on her cheap Android tablet to do sketching.
#AUTODESK SKETCHBOOK FOR MAC SIERRA UPDATE#
I find Autodesk is very beginner friendly (which is another reason why this update would help) and I love that I was able to pick it up and just start creating with no trouble finding features and accessories. I think this would be a much simpler addition (to replace or add on to the already existing fill detection slider) to include in a future update that would help a lot of artists. I’ve used other free programs in the past that have fixed this issue well such as Medibang (which isn’t optimized for my new computer otherwise I’d go back to using it) which has an option that simply expands the fill and select areas by a chosen number of pixels. I find it really annoying that it doesn’t seem to fill in an area without leaving little white spaces (this problem is very apparent when you try to fill spaces outlines in pencil or other tools with a subtle soft edge to the tool). Hi there! I’m fairly new to sketchbook and I actually haven’t got the pro version (but I would like to in the future 😉 ) but I think a good update to have in the future would be to update the fill/bucket tool for both versions. It is difficult for me that even though I pay I am still not a part of some elite automotive crowd or something and cannot even finish eating my measly software crumbs. I get it, sort of stuff changes and breaks old stuff and you guys do not want to keep updating old software can you see that I have tried to be reasonable and pay for my usage because I am a fan of your work. Now I stumble upon this new Pro release and after all this I am still willing to try again, lol! Unbelievable, I know! So why have I paid so much and have gotten the same as every free user? Have I not even earned the privilege to pay you more money and update my app so it works. The update option in the pro version does nothing and in checking my e-mail AutoDesk has erased my records regarding the purchase. Interestingly enough when searching for a substitute I found the free version on the Microsoft store and it works pretty good so far. I have a new Cintiq 24 on the way and I am using Fusion 360 and so I considered that this Autodesk product might integrate into my workflow but it is not even working. Every time in recent memory I went to use it my time was just wasted. Unfortunately Sketchbook Pro 7 is complete junk on my HP Spectre now, worthless. I thought I had made the final blow with that problem when I purchased the “PRO” version which included all versions along with the PC version. Hello, I bought Sketchbook repeatedly on Android and Apple as my purchases were forgotten by your systems and your app model changed.

what app do u use to digital draw i wanna try
i've been using clip studio paint for the bulk of my drawing for the past year!! it's an absolutely fantastic drawing app and i highly recommend it
(i have more detailed opinions on drawing programs i've used in the past if you or anyone else seeing this post are interested, but it's a lot so it's under the cut haha)
i have an android tablet and i don't draw much on my computer, so that does influence my program choices a bit!
clip studio paint (pro version, used on my tablet, not much on computer)
my favorite drawing program i've used so far!!!!!
every month i find some new tool/capability that i had no idea csp had and it blows my mind. i can't even reiterate enough that there's so much you can do with it 😭
it's kinda intense, i think, if you're new to digital art, and the interface is a tad crowded for a small tablet screen, but that's a no-brainer sacrifice for the capabilities of the app!
it does cost money but the desktop app is a one-time payment ($50USD for pro) and thus far they've had like bi-annual 50% off deals so imo it's well worth it
the mobile app is...unfortunately....subscription based but it's not expensive (coughunlikead*becough) and, for me, it's still worth it ($25/year)
autodesk sketchbook (used on my tablet, i believe there's a desktop ver but i haven't used it)
really nice if you're new to digital art!
totally free :))
the interface is really simple and easy to understand, and they have a good selection of built-in brushes.
the app does have quite a few limitations (no crop tool do you can't change the canvas size once you've created it, limited file saving options, limited keyboard shortcut options) but i used it for like two years and it served me well!
paint tool sai (used on my computer, afaik there's no mobile version)
this is the program i first used when learning digital art!
(i have not used sai2, but i've heard it has a few really nice features that were missing in the og sai)
pretty simple interface, beginner friendly
more tools than autodesk, fewer than csp
one time payment (i just looked it up and its ~$50 now, when i bought it 8ish years ago it was 70 but still worth it)
...photoshop... (used on my computer, no mobile version for drawing)
ugh, ad*be
if you're using it legally it costs money. subscription based, super expensive (by itself its $20.99/month or $239.88/year boooooo)
i don't really like actually drawing in ps, so i mostly use it for final touches and merch formatting
sadly, it DOES have some features that are unavailable in other apps so. i can't escape it.
i will say that i do like its type tool the most out of the programs i've used, so if a piece needs type, i'll import it into photoshop and add type there
allows you to work in cmyk (which is useful if you need to do color adjustments for print)

hi! what art software do you use?
I use multiple! Procreate and ibispaint are my main ones though. I also use Medibang (this is mostly for sprite edits but I do draw with it) and Autodesk Sketchbook! I sometimes use my notes app to draw too. Procreate is the only one you have to pay for (excluding “premium” stuff like with medibang and ibispaint) and it’s 10 usd! It’s not for android though sadly. But it’s a really good program for 10 bucks!!
I draw using my ipad air so some of the programs I mentioned may not be available for the pc. Actually I think procreate isn’t on the pc. Medibang and sketchbook are on the pc and so is ibispaint but I heard that it isn’t the best…If you use the pc though, I recommend fire alpaca! It’s related to medibang paint but it has animation stuff on it too! (And it’s free!!)
Procreate, medibang, ibispaint, and autodesk sketchbook are available for the phone too! Again procreate isn’t an android thing I don’t think…

Ahh I hate to bother you, and I know these questions can be annoying, but I plan on getting myself a tablet to draw on and I was wondering if there were any art programs you'd recommend. (Preferably free/beginner friendly ones) tysm!
Oh no no! Don't apologize! I don't mind at all :)
As for good free art programs I 100% recommend Autodesk Sketchbook. It's a really really good art program! It's actually what I was using to draw some of the Varras ask pictures! It's easy to use and figure out and it has a ton of brushes and tools to use. My only issue with it is if you use and android, like myself, and you delete this folder
Tumblr media
Or any picture inside, you will lose your piece in the app. So just don't delete any of these empty photos and you'll be good

what art program do u use? I have a windows computer thats made for art but i havent been able to find any good ones besides autodesk sketchbook
Hello! I use Clip Studio Paint, and I love it very much. It's like a friendlier version of Adobe Photoshop with many tools for making comic and even animation. There's so much manga-friendly features too like perspective rulers or 3D materials. You can also get so many materials and brushes in the community.
You can get the Pro version for $50 and the Ex version for around $200 I think, but the pro version is already more than enough for making illustrations. And yes it could work in both windows and mac (even on iPad and android).
So in short, I can't recommend it enough. It's totally worth it. And you could get it with a single payment too for windows, which is great.
If you're looking for other art programs for windows, there's Paint Tool SAI or Krita. But yeah, if you could afford it, I totally suggest you get CSP.
Thank you for asking!

No offense but I think it might be you with the Medibang thing. I've been using it and firealpaca for about 5 years with no problem
I use it as an app on my phone, my phone is a moto with android
it’s not the best, but it’s not the worst. the glitch happens every now and again, especially if I’ve been drawing for a bit.
I use Autodesk Sketchbook Pro on my kindle mostly for drawing, but I like to doodle and draw on my phone sometimes, but I’ve never had anything like this Mediband glitch happen with anything else. Autodesk autosaves everything without a pop-up saying “creating backup“, it just does it, and if the app decides to crash, or my kindle dies on me from lack of battery charge, I can turn it back on and open the program back up and have everything I was working on back up and saved as it was when the crash happened.
Medibang? it just picks back up where the last autosave was... meaning, if I’d been drawing awhile and got a lot of work done.. I’m back to my basic unedited lineart and barely started coloring. :/
it’s the only app I’ve got that does that.
