Major Secret Project 4 spoilers

The Skybreakers? Seriously? Does that mean he later splits off to fight for the Listeners? Fine, but the Skybreakers?! Sigzil what the fuck?!

That glyph in the last art insert is definitely a Skybreaker glyph (I thought it wasn't Windrunner, so I googled it) and I can't imagine that's an accident.

Was Aux not an Honorspren?(edit: nope. definitely a highspren. missed that part!) What happened to the other spren?!

Weekly EDM Favorites 2023 - Week Twelve

Best of Week Ten: A Mere Blip In Your Timeline - OBLVYN: This one wasn’t a difficult choice. Nothing else really came close that week to being as good as this track is. There’s so much emotion packed in.

CHOMP - Tokyo Machine: The energy of this track is fantastic all the way through, and the video game sound Tokyo is known for add flavor as always. But where this track really comes together is the b-section of the drops. They really come out of nowhere and absolutely demolish. I’m not sure what this Chompo project is, but I am excited to hear more from it.

I’ll Be There - STAR SEED, Nina Sung: There’s no sound quite like Star Seed’s, and they’re back again with an electrifying track. There’s a lot going on, but they manage it well and deliver a cohesive and enjoyable sound.

No Turning Back - juuku ft. Namelle: juuku is definitely a name to keep an eye on. Each track I’ve heard so far has delivered an innovative sound, and this one is no exception. This is a fast-paced and relentless track that’s really fun to listen to.

The Rage - OMAS, Awon ft. Micah Martin: I’ve seen OMAS’s name pop up a few times now, and this is my favorite track so far. Awon is a new name for me, on the other hand. This is a melodic take on dubstep that maintains much of the aggression of heavier sounds. Micah Martin adds so much to the track, as always.

Shades of Black - bitttrfly, GLNNA: Circus electric has been doing a lot better than the main label in my opinion. This is a properly destructive track that delivers a lot of high energy.

Trinite - Sharks, Skybreak, Paper Skies: The sound design is as crazy as one would expect for this collaboration. Watery textures for days. Honestly the arrangement from a lot of color bass feels a bit off to me a lot of the time, and I was worried about that, but this is done pretty well, the sounds compliment each other the way they should to produce a good final product.

u want me - Godlands: I had been unimpressed with Godlands’ discography so far, and I wasn’t expecting much from this release, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a minimalistic, but very enjoyable release. The sounds are all satisfying to listen to, and the use of the vocal sample as a sustain is creative. Would love to hear more like this from Godlands.

I‘ve mentioned before how Aireo/Skybreaker and Aqueduct are listed as nearly the same height but have a weight difference of one hundred whoppng pounds, yet are drawn with near-identical Standard Comc Book Dude Buff Bod and that just makes no sense to me So I hc Aqueduct as thicker and chunkier, and Aireo as VERY skinny, but I also have decided I think he has hollow bones too like Longshot. Because he’s A 5′9 man who weighs 110 lbs. That would be very slim on ME, a 5′4 woman. On him, that’s literally underweight. And yes underweight people exist but I think it would also make a lot of sense given his powers if Terrigeneiss had made his body lighter in order to fly better on the wind. This also means he’s less likely to be unhealthy at that weight or too weak to fight. That said I do think he’s frail in general, not because of his body but because he’s an Inhuman who has been outside Attilan or anything other Inhuman zone for YEARS without a break. The pollution of Earth is shown to have a detrimental effect on Inhumans, and I think that’s why, after he was exiled, he probably chose to be a merc specifically for an eco-terrorist group. I think he didn’t have much choice about being a criminal in the human world in general, he was cast out with no human ID or SS number or understanding of how anything worked, but I think he was probably especially eager to sign up with Force of Nature when Project Earth pitched it to him as a pro-environment group. He gets to kill humans for making this planet hurt him? Excellent! Speaking of killing, he’s got a notably nastier personality when he shows up with Force of Nature as Skybreaker than he ever did as one of Maximus’s henchies. I think he’s probably become very hardened and resentful from not only the difficulty of living in the human world, but also pissed about his exile. After all, he got kicked out for life, while Maximus himself gets chance after chance. And the irony is, he joined up with Max because he had some kind of problem (it’s never really explained what) with how things were run in Attilan, and he calls his fellow Inhumans “regressive” or something like that when he’s with Force of Nature, despite being disdainful of regular humans even more so. And given how shitty Attilan used to be. . .I feel like his grievances were probably fully justified ones. (He also stole a royal scepter and Pietro got blamed for it but that was a one-time thing)

Lancer-Form Chaz discovers that his knife spear (or ‘curtain rod with a bit of sharp scrap metal tied to it’) can be used to make reach attacks by pressing ‘f’ (much in the same way you’d fire a gun in Cataclysm). He proceeds to use this to fight zombies the Skybreaker way.

(Also this is something I doodled to confirm that Lancer-Form Chaz has pawpads on his feets - As well as to point out he has four toes and five fingers, compared to Squire-Form Chaz who has three toes, four fingers and no pawpads to speak of)

Weekly EDM Favorites 2023 - Week Nine

Best of Week Seven: CATALYST - DROELOE, IMANU: I wasn’t really expecting this, but at the end of the week, when I asked myself what the track I wanted to listen the most was, this was the answer.

Beyond The Peak - Chime, Skybreak, DNAKM: Color Bass can be a surprisingly broad genre, and this track covers the whole spectrum. Chime and Skybreak naturally compliment each other perfectly, and DNAKM is great as always. I’m really excited for Chime’s album.

Heaven Knows - Vizzen, Protolizard: Good to hear some good Happy Hardcore again. This is everything that genre should be. The melody is catchy, the sound design is engaging, and the pace is perfect.

Higher Ground - Koven, Kairos Grove: After almost a whole year, Koven’s Higher Ground project is finally complete, and honestly, this might be their best song yet. Explosive and emotional, this is the type of song that just hits right. And of course the songwriting is on point as always.

Shakedown - NUZB, Mo Falk: Well this was a good idea. These two have some of the most interesting colorful sound design in house music, so joining forces is bound to produce something good. All the little details and flavors make this a very enjoyable listen.

Spellbound - Dirty Palm, Bad Reputation: It’s some classic future bounce, and few do it better than DP. It’s good to see music like this on STMPD RCRDS. Really clean mix and great flow.

Spit It - AARMO, Atraam: It’s been a while since a track like this was on this playlist. This one wastes no time. The drop has attention-grabbing lead with a good amount of force behind it. The sound design is mostly minimalistic, but there’s enough percussive elements in the background to keep things interesting.

Valhalla - F.O.O.L, hayve: DnB from a mid tempo artist, very interesting. Of course having hayve along sure is helpful. The synth wave elements, which sometimes feel crammed in for other tracks, work really well here. And that second drop is simply amazing.
