Monday Thoughts

I ended up not going to the plant swap yesterday. It was probably the right decision since the weather was crappy and people can not drive in the rain. Today I am going to venture out and go to the museum since they may need help with some water clean up. While decluttering my room and office I did find some extra bins I can use for plants. Some will be good to just hold my supplies but some I can use for prop boxes. I know I already have a few prop boxes but I could always use some more.

I may be getting the itch to build a small model train layout again. I was going to use the bigger scale I have but I am going to use the smaller scale trains for the size of the board I have. I may get some track with road bed already attached and make something small for Christmas using the bigger scale I have. There are so many possibilities for a layout that I can do what I want and just have some fun. I am hoping once the weather gets back to being drier I should be able to start on this project.

Haunted House

Danny and Damian are pretending to be dating to get their respective friends and family to stop trying to set them up with people. Damian isn't one to do things half way, though. Obviously, they have to go on a fake date in order to sell their act.

They go to an amusement park. They saw animals, went on plenty of different rides, ate food... Everything was going pretty well. That is until the haunted house themed ride.

The Box Ghost - getting impatient while waiting for Danny to show up to their scheduled fight - had decided that the boxes in the haunted house that were being used as props were great. Especially for throwing at unsuspecting people.

My prop box right now! Using a high heel shoe box from the container store. It's clear, has a lid, and ventilation. Love it.

Everyone has been in here for less than 2 weeks, so not much excitement, but still nice. Featuring a few hoya macrophylla variegated leaves (victim of mealybugs that had to be chopped up), some nodes from a few different philodendrons, a philodendron Rio cutting, and a hoya heuschkeliana variegated, hoya lacunosa variegated, hoya rotundiflora cutting, annnd a mystery succulent.

Monday Thoughts

Picked up a two new prop boxes for my house plants. Cleaned out my rehab greenhouse and chopped up one of my vines that has been growing like crazy. I still need to setup one more prop box and then I still need to go through my plants and maybe toss a couple more that are not doing good. I am glad to be getting my collection down in size since I had bought way to many at one point when I was first getting into plants. Now I know more of what I like and what works well for me.

There are four ingredients

Sweetened condensed milk

Frozen lemonade concentrate

Cool whip

Graham cracker pie dishes

Only condensed milk is something I've seen in the UK

I can make an educated guess that frozen lemonade concentrate is lemons and sugar and I have heard people describe graham crackers as close to the hovis digestive biscuits, but i honestly do not know what cool whip is
