Why is propane flammable?
Propane has always been troublesome.
Since it was born in the 1850s, it has been prone to bouts of flatulence and arson. Attempts to control Propane have been mixed at best, with many able to capture it but few able to tame its criminal nature. Other gasses such as Methane, Butane, and even Hydrogen are also flammable and have committed acts of vandalism and fire-starting on their own, but as Propane is the most infamous of such gasses, they are merely considered Propane's criminal accessories.
Notably, though Oxygen is also key to most earthly combustion, it has received favorable treatment because humans are forced to rely on it. Unrelated, but guess why gas companies don't get prosecuted?

So @gabriel-grumbletoon drew Hank Hill like. Once. And I immediately came up with this.
So here's some gift art. Gift art? It's kind of cursed. Curse art. You've been cursed.
[TRANSCRIPT:
First image: Hank Hill from King of the Hill addresses Gabriel Grumbletoon, Dilly's Toontown monkey OC, who hangs on his arm like, well, a monkey.
HANK: Gabriel, I may not know what a "Grumbletoon" is, but I think there ain't nothing to grumble about you, son.
Second image: Hank puts on a fierce look and grabs a propane tank. A large one.
HANK: Now let's teach these Gear-Heads about propane and propane accessories.
Third image: Hank hurls the propane tank at one of the cog head robot things from Toontown idk what they're called I don't play Toontown but it EXPLODES with a POOM and lights up the whole room.
Fourth image: Gabriel smiles as he watches the flames.

Another from the ol' archive. When my friends were getting super into collecting amiibos, I was re watching King of the Hill. Loved the idea of a printable Hank Hill amiibo.

Also had the idea that you could get them in these propane containers that would have a random character like they were from a gacha machine. But I never got to any other characters.

My mom was bored and came out of retirement to work part time.
She now works for a propane company. And talks about it a bit.
Every time I hear her I giggle.
This is why. 😆

A paper recently published in Nature Energy based on pioneering research done at Illinois Institute of Technology reveals a promising breakthrough in green energy: an electrolyzer device capable of converting carbon dioxide into propane in a manner that is both scalable and economically viable. As the United States races toward its target of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, innovative methods to reduce the significant carbon dioxide emissions from electric power and industrial sectors are critical. Mohammad Asadi, assistant professor of chemical engineering at Illinois Tech, spearheaded this groundbreaking research. "Making renewable chemical manufacturing is really important," says Asadi. "It's the best way to close the carbon cycle without losing the chemicals we currently use daily." What sets Asadi's electrolyzer apart is its unique catalytic system. It uses inexpensive, readily available materials to produce tri-carbon molecules -- fundamental building blocks for fuels like propane, which is used for purposes ranging from home heating to aviation.
