in typical there is no right answer fashion for this blog, i have a feeling that while kara adores her master to the point of leaving the order when beira is killed, and while beira clearly did everything she could to protect kara, there has to be questions of whether teaching kara as a child to hide her force storm/lighning abilities was at all healthy, and whether it followed then that as much as kara adored her jedi family did she have some conscious or unconscious issues when it came to trusting them and the council in particular, and though beira could be considered proficient in a range of less than kosher force abilities did she teach kara control of hers or just to smother them, and how does that impact her use of such abilities after she leaves, and —

Nothing bad happens AU where little 11-13 year old Ezra comes back from his Gathering with the Gunsaber and Jocasta Nu decides that this means he’s the true heir to the lightsaber rifle. There was a prophecy or something, idk. But obviously she can’t just give this child a high powered ancient weapon. Not without the proper training anyway. She takes it upon herself to kidnap little Ezra anytime he’s in the temple for Archivist training.
Meanwhile, Mand’alor Jaster Mereel finds out about the Jetii’ad with a gunsaber and decides he wants to adopt the boy. Now in addition to trying to break into the Archives (he wants those ancient Mandalorian texts dammit!) he keeps ambushing Caleb and Ezra for some light kidnapping forced adoption.
Caleb would just like these old people to stop trying to steal his padawan. Jango would like his dad to stop trying to adopt a preteen because “Buir you’re over 100 and you need to charge your hoverchair, get back here!”
There’s a perpetual tug of war between the wizard librarian and the elderly warrior king over this one child. It only gets worse when Ezra figures out the lightsaber rifle has a shotgun setting.

A type of AU I like in the Star Wars Fandom is one where Qui-Gon Jinn survives Naboo. In particular, I like reading about the changes it brings to his relationship with Obi-Wan (and Anakin to a lesser extent). Below is a small selection of fics I've liked that explore the consequences of Qui-Gon's survival->
deluge by @treescape: G, no pairings
“You’ll always be my Padawan.” Three moments between Master and Padawan.
Patrilineal by @markwatnae: G, no pairings
General Jinn is dispatched to join the 212th Attack Battalion and Cody watches General Kenobi interact with his former master, the man who skirted death at the hands of a Sith. He cannot seem to find a suitable definition for their relationship.
Detachment  by FinalArc: G, no pairings
Qui-Gon survives Naboo. No one is more surprised than he is. Qui-Gon tries to negotiate the padawan situation, Anakin is unknowingly insightful, and Obi-Wan is a better Jedi that anyone's giving him credit for. Bit AU, obviously.
blue by Bekka911: G, no pairings
Anakin Skywalker is afraid of a great many things in this galaxy and the next, but he has never and will never be afraid of Obi-Wan Kenobi. But he’s afraid of being abandoned, of being walked away from, and he’s afraid that Obi-Wan is not the kind of person who will stay.
When Truth is Not Kindness (And When It Is) by Sunshine_lollipops_and: G, no pairings
Obi-Wan takes Maul's blade on Naboo. The pain that comes after is a mental as it is emotional.
Strung Together by Opals1008: T, no pairings
Dooku is not about to sit idly by and let Sidious replace him. He's got ideas about acquiring an apprentice of his own. Qui-Gon lives to train Anakin but struggles with keeping Anakin in the light and mending his relationship with Obi-Wan. When the three Jedi are thrown together on a mission to protect Padme from assassination, Anakin and Obi-Wan may find that their destinies are more intertwined than they ever could have imagined.
Reputations. by @outpastthemoat: G, no pairings
Defeating a Sith Lord before losing your Padawan braid, that’s a difficult reputation to live up to.
Careless To Let It Fall by Artemisdesari: T, Cody/Obi-Wan
“You show great promise, Grandpadawan,” Master Dooku inclines his head briefly, ignoring Obi-Wan’s surprise that he is aware of his identity. “No matter what edicts Qui-Gon Jinn may have passed upon me in regards to his padawan, I could not pass and not give you the correction that you needed.” Dooku takes an interest in Obi-Wan’s skills with a lightsaber shortly before he and Qui-Gon return to Naboo. Qui-Gon lives, but Dooku still leaves and now he has Obi-Wan in his sights. Or, how family and love changes the course of the galaxy.
growing pains series by @masterkeynobi: G, no pairings
growing pains:
"Were Mace possessed of anything less than sterling Jedi composure he’d be trying to hide a smile — Jinn sending his current apprentice away, leaving him alone with his former student? This should be entertaining. Force help him, they grew up together. He respects the man a great deal, considers him a friend, even, but Mace will never pass up an opportunity to see Qui-Gon Jinn humbled." or: Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi runs into Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn & his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, outside the Council chambers. Councillor Mace Windu blatantly eavesdrops.
stay soft:
"'I have never once heard him cry out the way he did today,' she says. A fatal blow. Qui-Gon can count on one hand the number of times he has seen Obi-Wan weep, has seen him bleeding and battered and brutalized and still look up with a gaze like blue lightning, has never once heard him beg for help. He knows without having to ask — Vokara has told him without telling him — whom Obi-Wan was crying out for." or: Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn visits Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Halls of Healing after a solo mission gone wrong. It's their first proper conversation in months.
Mission Reports series by @smilebackwards: G, no pairings
Karris IV, Obi-Wan wrote, dating it with the galactic standard. Have proven myself so incapable that Master Qui-Gon is coming to recall me back to the Temple.

My brain is smooth and full of Star Wars rot so have a list of aus/fics i'd like to write
Age swap BB Au; a grown-up Omega escapes Kamino with her four batch brothers amidst the chaos of Order 66 and they all become bounty hunters
Anakin, somehow, meets a force-sensitive Omega. Fresh off of Ahsoka leaving and chock full of mental instability, he sneaks her off-world and declares her his new padawan. He does not elaborate or disclose where he found her. Obi-Wan drinks twice as often now
Luke and Leia are eeby deebied back to the start of the clone wars. They have their memories but are stuck in very young bodies. Luke attaches himself to Yoda like a leech and Leia curses Obi-Wan with Another Skywalker Padawan. Neither really seem to mind. Maybe one of the inquisitors follows them back and ends up getting their ass whooped by a ketamine frog and his disaster linage
Omega gets to raise the batch long enough for them to have memories of her. They become a living nightmare for the Kaminoans when they remember her as adults and realise that their beloved sister, who comforted them and called them proper names in soft, careful whispers, was separated from them. This somehow leads to a clone revolution.
Another Anakin meets Omega au, but this time she asks him if she and her brothers are technically slaves because they were bought and chipped. This causes the end of the war because Anakin's Singular Braincell activates and he realizes that yeah, that kinda is what the clones are, which is then followed by him and padme absolutely obliterating support for the war while simultaneously helping the clones take control of kamino
TPM Anakin and CW Anakin set during the Rako Hardeen arc are flung through time and swap places, leaving a devastated, betrayed-feeling anakin with an equally devastated, newly Knighted Obi-Wan, and an unsure, clingy 9-year old Anakin with an Obi-Wan who has never felt further from his padawan. Both will benefit from this if they ever find a crumb of communication skills. Also the 501st have their Dad Genes activated by Baby General and frequently steal him from Obi-Wan.

my new years wish is for the remedial mechanics at to finally get an ao3 fic 😔✊ been hanging on since the beginning of it and i’m still riveted
you know i go a bit wild when someone mentions the remedial mechanics au
honestly the part of that au i like the most is anakin being all indignant because this slutty rule breaking suggestive asshole is not his master, ok, his master is put together and wise and handsome and beautiful but in the 'untouchable way', he has a dry sense of humor and ten layers of armor in the form of proper jedi robes, he does not spread his legs in the middle of class and offer himself up as an option instead of doing his homework. he does not suck on sugar candy whenever anakin looks at him, he does not pronounce "master skywalker" like that, he does not look at him from underneath his force forsaken eyelashes!!!!!!
only for everyone who knew obi-wan as a padawan to pat anakin on the shoulder and be like 'tough luck kid everything you just said is exactly what ken-hoe-bi does."
and anakin at first probably is indignant that his master kept this side of himself from anakin who deserves to know everything about his master (because he wants to >:( )
but then probably someone else is like 'well think about it like this: obi-wan is letting you see this side now which means he thinks of you as equals. isn't that nice?'
and anakin has to admit it's....it's nice. but nice is not the word for the headache obi-wan kenobi has become in his force forsaken remedial mechanics class

The Reckoning
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
Summary: AU. Lucy Skywalker walks the halls of Kelevala, knowing her twin sister Leia is desperate for a proper army. She didn't expect to be part of the deal.
"Please tell me again why I'm here and not flying with Rogue Squadron." Lucy huffed as she follows Leia off the ship. She isn't irritated really, the amount of water on this planet is incredible, but she wished Leia would have let her wear her Jedi Robes or flight suit instead of whatever this is...
"Ahsoka wanted us to be here. And I need to get more support for the Rebellion. What better way than a Mandalorian Army." Leia explains. "And you look nice. So stop figiting." She scolds her as they walk through the palace doors.
"I don't know why you're making me wear House Organa colors though. I am not an Organa Leia." Lucy argues softly. She follows her sister deeper into the halls crowded with Mandalorians trying to get a good seat at a very long table.
"You're still my sister, even if you grew up on Tatooine." Leia replies. She turns to her. "I need you to trust me."
"I trust you, Leia. But keep me out of politics." Lucy says. Her gaze flicks beyond Leia to see Ahsoka walking towards them with a red-haired woman she doesn't know and pauses.
"I'm glad you two could make it." Ahsoka says, sweeping Leia in for a hug before turning to Lucy. She allows herself to be wrapped in Ahsoka's warmth, both in the force and out, before she steps away.
"Master." Lucy greets politely, and Ahsoka winks at her.
"This is Lucy Skywalker. My sort of Padawan." Ahsoka tells the woman. "Leia, Lucy; this is my wife Bo. She's the leader of Mandalore."
Lucy tilts her head in a bow, and Leia does the same. "It's nice to meet you, Mand'alor."
Bo nods back. "And you, Princess." She looks at Leia before her gaze flicks back to Lucy. "Master Jedi." She looks at Ahsoka. "We'll need to begin soon." Bo nods again at the twins, and Ahsoka tosses a smile over her shoulder, and Bo sweeps her away.
"Come on. You can sit next to some old friends of mine." Leia swept into the crowd, taking Lucy's hand until they approached a group of Mandalorians in yellow armor, and one in brightly painted armor.
"Sabine."
"Leia!"
Leia, let's go of Lucy's hand to hug the other woman. She pulls back and looks at Lucy, who stands there awkwardly. She forgot sometimes that Leia knew more people then Lucy could dream of knowing.
"This is my sister Lucy." Leia introduced her. "Lucy, this is Sabine Wren. We've been working together for years." She stepped back and Lucy and Sabine shook hands, though she didn't miss the appraising look Sabine swept over Lucy.
"Her mother Countess Ursa, father Alrich and brother Tristain." Leia added, and Ursa looked down at Lucy's hip as Sabine let go of her hand.
"A Jedi?"
"I'm just a Padawan Countess." Lucy felt nervous. She tilted her head in a bow, not wanting to offend her.
Ursa nodded firmly, "I see." She looks at her. "We had no idea Princess Leia had a sister until recently. I can see why they hid you."
"Mother." Sabine scolded her. She sighed and looked at Lucy. "Sit next to me?"
"I, yes, okay?" Lucy manages to get out. She sits, and Sabine follows. Leia winks at Lucy as she moves away, closer to Bo and Ahsoka; and Lucy swallows hard. She didn't know why she was so nervous. But she didn't know anyone here besides Ahsoka and Leia.
What if the Empire came for her?
Sabine nudges her shoulder with her own drawing her attention. "Don't look so glum. No one here will hurt you or out you to the Empire."
"Sorry. I'm just nervous." Lucy admits. She looks at Sabine, who puts a hand on the back of her chair. "Mandalorians and Jedi have a turbulent history."
"Yeah, considering you only ever beat us once." Sabine replies.
"Sabine." Ursa hisses from beside her.
"It's true, Mother." Sabine looks at her. "I'm not going to sugar coat anything for her."
"It's okay, countess. I appreciate her honesty, " Lucy says softly, and before she can say anything else, their attention is drawn by Bo calling for attention. There's a hush in the room, and Lucy can feel tension hanging in the air.
"I would like to first welcome Princess Leia and her sister Lucy to our meeting, as well as other delegates of the Rebellion." Bo started. "They have come to us for help, and in return, we ask for theirs."
"This is the way." An voice calls out and is quickly echoed in the hall. Bo turns to Leia and nods.
"The floor is yours, Princess."
"I come to you Mand'alor with a proposal that will benefit both parties." Leia begins. "And one that I ask be put into place as soon as possible."
"And what is your proposal Princess?" Bo asks.
"That my sister, Lucy Skywalker, marry Sabine Wren of Clan Wren solidifying our alliance and allowing Mandalorian forces to formally help the Rebellion."
"What?" Lucy manages to get out at the Sabine Wren.
"My daughter will not-"
"This is not up for debate." Leia snaps. She looks at Ursa, who scowls.
"Leia!" Lucy feels hot, angry. She senses Sabine's grip on her chair tightened behind her.
"Enough." Leia looks at Bo again. "Is this acceptable Mand'alor?"
Bo looks at Leia and stretches. "And how would this benefit me and my people? Marrying your sister to Sabine?"
"When the Rebellion wins, I will make Mandalore an independent system with the trade benefits of belonging to a New Republic." Leia answers stoically.
Bo looks at Ahsoka, who frowns at her. She doesn't look too happy. But if this works, then they might be able to defeat the Empire sooner. "Normally, I wouldn't consider marrying a Jedi into House Wren, even if she is my wife's padawan." Bo looks at Lucy and Sabine. "But circumstances change. I accept this proposal. You will be married in a weeks time."
Lucy swallows hard and moves to stand up, but Sabine moves her hand to her shoulder, and she forces her back down in her seat.
"You have to wait. No matter how upset you are." Sabine hisses in her ear. Lucy shivers but doesn't move away; and Sabine keeps her arm there until the meeting the dismissed.
The minute she removes her arm, Lucy stands, bows in the direction of Bo, and leaves the hall as fast as she can. She loops around the palace to the grassy hills and keeps walking until she finds one far away enough that her heart beat slows before she sits down.
What is Leia thinking? Lucy looks out over the water. How could she do this to me? She sighs and turns her head as she hears footsteps, only to see its Sabine; helmet tucked under her arm.
"You had no idea?" Sabine asks as she approaches.
"No." Lucy says angrily. "Of course not."
Sabine shakes her head. "This is ridiculous."
"Its insanity is what it is." Lucy replies. "Are arranged marriages normal?"
"Not all the time." Sabine admits. "You're lucky Bo didn't see you try to get up. Never do that again." She tells her firmly.
Lucy swallows. "Okay? I'm sorry. I'm just upset."
"I know. So am I." Sabine looks away, sighs. "I don't know how we can get around this."
Lucy sighs. "I really don't think we have much choice in the matter." She tells Sabine, and the other woman looks defeated.
"Well, that's just great." Sabine replies sarcastically. "Look, I'm sorry. I know you don't want to be a part of this either. I just didn't think I'd ever get married."
"You're telling me. Jedi are supposed to be celibate." Lucy looks uncomfortable. "Or we were." She pauses. "There's something you should know through."
Sabine straightens up. "What's wrong?"
"Um... I only have one hand." Lucy admits shyly. She's not looking at Sabine anymore. "My right hand was cut off by Vader."
Sabine feels her stomach twist with guilt. "Well...I'm not bothered by that. Who's telling you that's an issue?" Sabine asks, suddenly angry.
"No one." Lucy looks at her. "But you need to know before you find out, um..." She shakes her head. "Forget I said anything."
Sabine watches Lucy for a moment and tries to relax. This wasn't her fault. She was thrown for a loop the same as Sabine was.
"This is probably terrifying for you." Sabine sits down next to Lucy and looks at her. Their legs are touching, and Sabine tries to ignore the way her stomach flipped when Lucy met her gaze. "We're going to have to figure this out somehow. I'll have a higher station than your family, so you'll have to come to Krownest after the ceremony with me to live there."
Lucy nods. "And learn how to be Mandalorian?"
Sabine nods grimly. "And learn Mando'a." She adds, "You'll do okay. But don't expect everyone to love you right away."
"No. I don't expect that from anyone." Lucy admits, and Sabine winches. "I mean, you don't have to-"
"I get it. It's alright." Sabine tells her softly. "I don't expect you to love me either." She bites her lip. "Let's try to be friends at least?"
Lucy smiles, grateful. "I'd like that, Sabine."
"So would I." Sabine gives her a small smile back. "Just promise me you won't throw me off a cliff for fun or something?" She teases her.
"Me? Never." Lucy laughs. "What kind of Jedi do you think I am."
"Hopefully, the fun kind." Sabine teases Lucy's lips quirk into a smile as Sabine looks away.
Have you known many Jedi?"
Sabine glances at her. "My brother Ezra, and Kanan." She smiles sadly. "Ahsoka. And now you I guess."
Lucy looks at her. "I hope I can live up to your expectations."
"You don't have to worry about me." Sabine tells her. She stands and holds out her hands. "For what it's worth, if we end up hating each other I can get the marriage annulled when I'm countess."
Lucy lets Sabine pull her to her feet, and squeezes her hands before letting go. "I might have to hold you to that Sabine."
Sabine smirks. "One hundred credits?"
Lucy laughs. "Now it sounds like your trying to bribe me."
Sabine winks at her. "Is that too low?"
Lucy rolls her eyes and grins. "For a Jedi? Absolutely."
Sabine laughs, and Lucy finds herself delighted by the sound. Before she can respond, a lasat comes walking up to them. Zeb, Lucy thinks his name is. But she's not sure. Does he work for the Rebellion? A pilot? She's sure she's heard of Zeb at least.
"Hey you two, everyone's worried. Why you run off like that?"
"She has to marry me. That's reason enough." Sabine says and the man sighs.
"You can't be too mad if you're making jokes." He turns to Lucy. "I'm Zeb. I've been keeping Sabine out of trouble since she first joined the Rebellion."
"More like dragging me into it." Sabine mutters.
Zeb holds out his hand to Lucy, and she suddenly feels very small as they shake hands. "I know you both don't want this. But just put on a happy face for the politicians."
"I'll try." Lucy answers, and Zeb nods as he lets go of her hand.
"Come on. Let's go back. I'll make sure people keep to themselves." Zeb tells them. "And I'll introduce you to my husband too." He walks ahead, and Lucy looks at Sabine.
"After you, my lady." Sabine teases, and Lucy lets out a sharp sigh.
"You know, the Empire might be the least of your worries if you keep that up, Countess."
"Hurry up, you two." Zeb calls, and Lucy and Sabine exchange one final look before following. The situation wasn't ideal, but for now they had to play along.

climb - Kenfetti for the prompts? -- MBW
hi!!! this is very late in more than one way lmao. it also got a bit away from me and for that i'm sorry skldhg
anyway! pre-relationship, canon divergence au. jaster doesn't die on korda 6 and that changes everything. around 1k and very much unbeteaed.
---
“So you’re the Mand’alor now.”
Jango tenses up. Coruscanti accent, smooth voice: there’s something familiar about the tone, but he can’t quite place it. He empties his face before turning around, and forces himself to loosen his hold on his buy’ce. He didn’t hear them coming.
There’s a young man in front of him, standing alone in the middle of the empty balcony. Tall, light eyes. Jango blinks: it takes him a beat, but when he gets there he can’t help the snort.
“Have been for a few years,” he tells Kenobi. He finds he has to lift his chin to look him in the eye: he’s not that lanky sixteen year old anymore. “Padawan Kenobi.”
Kenobi makes a face and crosses his arms over his chest. He’s wearing a darker, heavier cloak over the plain Jedi robes, and when he shifts the lightsaber that hangs from his belt reflects the light.
“I thought you wouldn’t remember me,” he says. He looks Jango in the eye and smiles. “It’s been a while.”
“Not quite a decade.” Jango steps away from the railing and starts walking back into the palace proper. He can feel Kenobi’s eyes on him, his attention careful and meticulous.
Kenobi falls into step at his side. He smells of bantha wool and ozone, and his long legs move surely through the halls of the duchess’s palace.
“So the Republic sent you and Jinn,” Jango tells him. He eyes the guards standing watch on both sides of the hallway; the guards eye him back. Silas is leaning against the far wall, arms crossed. Jango rattles vambraces with him and keeps on walking.
“You don’t look surprised,” Kenobi replies. Jango can’t see his hands: they’re somewhere inside the sleeves of his cloak.
“I’m not. You have the experience.”
Kenobi frowns slightly and says nothing. Jango glances at him from the corner of his eye. He tries and fails to see in him the kid he must have been once: he can’t. It was a long time ago, and a lot has happened since then. Those years are hard to grasp, anyway—Jango mostly remembers being angry and scared and hungry and sleep deprived most of the time.
“You could say that,” Kenobi finally says after a beat. He huffs, his bland smile goes crooked, and suddenly he looks his age. “It’s weird being back here. I keep waiting for—I don’t know.”
The hallway is about to end. Jango pauses, and Kenobi pauses with him. He waits while Jango puts his buy’ce back on, watching him with curious eyes.
The Duchess has noticed their presence. She’s looking at them from the small meeting room beyond the door, her pale hands palm down on the smooth durasteel of the round table and her lips pressed tight. Kenobi blinks and turns to look at her. The right side of his mouth tick upwards in a knowing smile, and he nods at her in greeting.
He turns back to Jango. One bare hand brushes his arm. Broad, scarred. One of his fingers is crooked—broken, never healed right. Jango can’t quite feel it through his kute, but that’s not the point. He tilts his head at Kenobi in question.
“I am glad to see you well,” he says. He steps away with one last nod. “Mand’alor.”
Jango raises an eyebrow. He nods in reply and follows him into the room, amused despite himself: he can’t say he saw this coming. Duchess Kryze’s sharp eyes are on him. He joins her at the head of the table.
She’s a tall woman. She looks down at him, the pure blue of her long silk dress the same colour as her eyes. She’s very good at this: when she smiles, it almost looks real.
“Mand’alor Fett,” she says. She’s always so civil, so polite. “I see you met Padawan Kenobi.”
Jango says nothing. He stares up at her and waits. After a beat, her face twitches, and her whole demeanour—changes. It’s fascinating: the smile stays, but now it feels colder than a Krownest winter.
She’s been doing this kind of thing for almost as long as him, and unlike him, she always knew it would be her future. While Jango was learning how to negotiate mercenary contracts, she was in the Core, becoming an expert in a very different subject. Jango doesn’t like her, doesn’t agree with her, doesn’t trust her and doesn’t fear her: he is also not stupid.
She did not want the Jedi here. She’s not naive: she understands that while the Senate might like her better than it likes Jango, what the Republic is actually interested in are the beskar mines that still operate in the system, guarded by her people and by Jango’s people and by what’s left of Kyr’tsad.
In the Jedi’s defence, they don’t look like they want to be there, either. They stand to the side, heads bent together, conversing quietly.
“He was here ten years ago,” Jango finally replies. “Can’t say I remember him, though.”
The Duchess huffs an elegant laugh.
“It was a long time ago,” she agrees. She looks away, and the façade cracks, just a bit. “We all have changed.”
Kenobi knows he’s being observed. He’s good, but Jango’s better: he catches Kenobi looking at them through the reflection in the window at his master’s back, and tilts his buy’ce at him, partly because Jango has never liked hiding, partly just to see what the Jedi will do.
Kenobi blinks, and if he feels uncomfortable he doesn’t show it. He tells something to his master and starts making his way towards them, and Jango watches him, and he watches the way Satine Kryze watches him, too, and suddenly it feels like he’s standing on the edge of something he didn’t quite see coming, his belly going all tight and cold like that second of time between stepping off a gunship and his jetpack coming alive, and.
Jango steps forward, the roar of the engine in his ears and his nose filling with the ghost of spent tibanna, and meets Kenobi in the middle.

Star Wars 'What if?' AUs, Part 4
Part three here
Darth Bane’s Rule of Two never quite caught on, but the Sith of today don’t actually know much about each other because there’s so few of them. Palpatine’s plan fails in several key parts because another Sith’s plan got in the way. AND because the Jedi never discounted the idea that the Sith were back - because they never actually left. The Enemy of my Enemy is still my Enemy, and with the Sith all getting in each other’s way, the Jedi and clones manage to eke out a win.
Whatever happened to Dexter Jettser? I’m not knocking what Bail Organa did for the Rebellion, but Dex was Obi-Wan’s friend too, and he already had contacts in low places. So this story would have him either following up on all the things the Jedi Order never had time/experience for (who really ordered the clones, who was the Sith Master, how can we issue a shutdown order to all the Separatist droids?) during the war, or else afterwards he helps give the nascent Rebellion a huge boost.
Anakin gets apprenticed to the most appropriate possible person - Nico Diath!  Who is also from Tatooine, has a family home there in fact, and in canon his Padawan was his nephew. Also, Nico felt a burning hatred for slavery in general and Hutts in particular. Anakin finally gets to (help) free all the slaves, and Nico helps teach him about attachment and the perils thereof, and how to love your family without being so possessive of them you fall.
Supposedly it was one of Darth Plagueis’ experiments with midichlorians that led to Anakin’s birth - what if he was born to someone else? Shaak Ti could be good. Breha Organa would be too young, unfortunately. Mother Talzin would be interesting, especially since males aren’t valued on Dathomir - would Anakin take Maul’s place in canon, or would he be so powerful she’d keep him with her? Or, what if he was born to An’ya Kuro, aka Dark Woman. She’s got very unusual, and cruel ideas about proper use of the Force (while still considering herself Light!) and how to teach it. But would she consider a ‘Force-sent’ pregnancy something she would follow through on?
Or maybe Dark Woman is the one to find and apprentice Anakin. If you know anything about her, you'll realize this could be a story just as dark as canon, but I’m suggesting either Anakin ran off like Jon Antilles did, or Jon and his friends (Nico, Knoll, Fay) found him and removed him from Dark Woman’s influence.
Speaking of Dark Woman’s former padawans, one of them was Aurra Sing. A misunderstanding led Aurra to start developing a lifelong hatred of Jedi, and she killed several of them. What if Sidious decided to have more than one ‘Jedi Killer’ as his clone template? Supposedly Force Sensitives can’t be cloned because they turn out brain dead since the Force knows who they are, BUT either you can ignore that or - harvest the DNA, kill Aurra, then create the clones. She’s not alive for the clones to be affected by.
Or, canonically Aurra was on Tatooine watching the Boonta Eve Classic. What if she decided to try and take Anakin as her padawan?
Aurra Sing got kidnapped by pirates (which she thought Dark Woman arranged as part of her training), but what if she got rescued by Mandalorians? I’m thinking True Mandalorians, so she would be there to keep them from dying/getting killed like in canon. She faces off against the Jedi on Galidraan, some of them recognize her, and after it’s all over she goes back to the Temple just long enough to tell them how messed up Dark Woman’s training is, before leaving again. This leads to the Jedi Council taking a closer look at how initiates and padawans are taught and making changes, which ultimately, when combined with the True Mandalorians becoming the leading faction on Mandalore, derails Sidious’ plans.
Next idea involves a time crunch - Obi-Wan’s time on Melidaan (or Mandalore, protecting Satine) coinciding with the clones being taught on Kamino. Early in the process (when the oldest clones are physically 10-12) the clones rebel and escape Kamino. They either end up on Melidaan and help the Young take down the Elders before helping them set up a new community together, or they end up on Concordia trying to track down Pre Viszla so one of them can challenge him for the Darksaber and the clones can become the newest faction to rule Mandalore. Or they don’t have enough fuel/need an emergency landing and end up on Melidaan on their way to Mandalore. Basically a lot of teens and tweens getting their Lord of the Fly on, but a happier ending where they kill all the bad adults (including Sidious and Plagueius).
The Jedi Temple is apparently on top of some type of Force Nexus which allows it to be much bigger on the inside than outside, and they have a giant menagerie full of plants and animals inside it. Sounds like a great place for all the Jedi in the Temple to retreat to when Darth Vader and the 501st come to kill them all. And who really knows how a Force Nexus works? Maybe enough force sensitives crying out for other Jedi to help/to stop the clones from hurting their friends transports the whole Temple (and maybe all Jedi around the galaxy) to, like Lothal or Tython (and fries all the chips).
Barriss Offee is the one sent back in time, to her child body, young enough in the midst of her freak out she runs into a still-alive Sifo-Dyas. She tries to pass off her future knowledge and panic as dreams of the future, he talks about his own visions, and Barriss ends up explaining what his visions meant. Together they start a new Jedi schism aimed at non-violence in order to prevent the Jedi being involved in the coming war.
Apparently Etain Tur-Maken was in the Temple during Darth Vader’s attack on it and died defending a group of younglings. What if Anakin was completely not shielding his mind while leading the attack and when he got near enough he heard her thoughts about her clone lover, Darman, and their son? He’d start thinking about his unborn child with Padme and just…stall out.  Consider also that he could then look around at the children and see a bunch that, coloring-wise at least, look like him and/or Padme. Etain manages to subdue Anakin while he’s caught in a mental maelstrom of worry for his unborn child.
After the Rusaan Reformation, the Jedi took the rule of dismantling their armies to mean no more Knights. All the Jedi on Coruscant are part of the Services Corps (Agricorp, Exploricop, Educorp, Medicorp). Anyone wanting to use lightsabers on a regular basis or be a warrior monk ends up transferring to one of the other temples (or maybe they have their own Temple on, like, Tython or Lothal). Palpatine falls into the same misunderstanding that the Senate has, thinking that the majority of the Jedi are the ones on Coruscant, so his ultimate plan for taking over the galaxy is different since it doesn’t involve clones chipped to turn on their Jedi. Then when Palpatine stages his takeover he’s blindsided by the large number of Jedi Knights that had been wandering around the galaxy fixing problem ‘as the force wills’.

(Not so) Small introduction to my starwars AU,
Part 1
since it’s a lot of time I wanted to post more about it, but I didn’t have the motivation to write 💀
My Au is called Star Wars Alters because it basically is about the concept (of my invention) of force alters.
Yeah. I’m not creative with titles as I am with the lore.
First: What’s a force alter?
Simply put (the theory is too long, besides the story behind it and the prophecy), a force alter is an entity that a force-sensitive individual can connect to via the World Between Worlds. In addition to providing help and greater combat skills, if balanced it allows you to have a perpetual connection with the force, and effectively not age or die (if not killed). It also provides other abilities, including the ability to change appearance, or create visions. This technique was born on the planet of Korana, a small planet in the Outer Rim, and has been disputed for millennia between Jedi and Sith. An alter can be Balanced, Light, or Dark. The differences lie mainly in the use that the individual makes of it but also in the consequences he suffers. a balanced alter allows for the greatest amount of skill and true perpetual connection to the force. a Light alter, increases abilities, extends life and provides energy, but is not complete. a Dark alter consumes life energy and slowly destroys its host, causing physical and psychological symptoms, and significantly shortening life.
Main characters:
The Night Brother (Isaak):
A young force sensitive chiss, illegitimate child of a member of the Mitth family. He has been working for the Empire since he was 16, and was secretly trained by Sidious. In the time frame in which the main events take place, he is the one who possesses a dark side alter and uses it to apparently serve the empire against the rebellion. however, he is a character who is not simply an Imperial villain, but is complex and tormented. he exploits the empire to find the answers to all his questions, convinced that he has no place in the universe and that his purposeless existence should just end.
Diane (Still searching for a proper imperial name for her!) :
She is the imperial governor (and Last Matriarch) of the planet of Korana, ruled for millennia by a long dynasty of Jedi priestesses, who were the keepers of the secret technique of the Force Alters. She was destined to obtain the throne by dynastic succession, but she was overthrown by her twin sister and found refuge in the Empire after the fall of the Republic. She appears more fragile and kinder than her counterpart, The Night Brother, however she is strong, determined and convinced that she has a specific place, that she has a destiny that she is willing to claim at all costs.
These two characters are extremely complementary, their destinies are linked and are fundamental to the overall development of the plot. Both, led by the Emperor, are at the head of a secret imperial project, Project Astra, which exploits the knowledge and various arts and techniques developed by the cult of Korana to build imperial weapons. The main story begins following the discovery of a rebellion, partially detached from the original rebel union, which threatens the project itself.
Grandmaster Rayla:
The matriarch now almost Yoda's age, who preceded Diane (or her sister) in the dynastic succession. She retained the throne following Diane's "incident" and her exile, trying to maintain Peace until the rise of the empire. She possesses a Light alter, plagued by visions since she was a padawan before becoming matriarch. She was the teacher of the young Aegon Caylan, who fell to her dark side and was killed by her for it, during the ancient republic, and of Isaak's father, before the fall of the republic. She is convinced that she can save her cult and her planet, but she always falls into the wrong interpretation of her visions. Driven by willpower, she leads the rebellion against the Astra project until the end of the story.
If you’re interested you can find it on my profile under the hashtag? Idk how tumblr works, honestly.

More of the bonded AU created between @ninjigma and me.
AU: Bonded—Two halves, one heart [ read more: new—oldest ]
Next Generation
Current line-up of Jedi-Clone bonded pairs:
— Obi-Wan Kenobi—"Rex" CC-7567*(1) — Quinlin Vos—"Fox" CC-1010**(2) — Master Qui-Gon Jinn—"Cody" CC-2224***(3) —Master Plo Koon—"Wolffe" CC-3636****(4)
Later line-up of Jedi-Clone bonded pairs:
— Anakin Skywalker—CC-5555&CC-1409 OR CC-2224*****(5) — Ahsoka Tano—Vaughn, CC-0292******(6)
*(1) Formerly Alpha-67; this caused quite a bit of drama. More about the Alpha-class Clones to come.
**(2) Vos didn't want a Clone Companion, and Fox didn't want to be one. But, Vos went with Obi-Wan for his friend's second attempt to bond with a Clone. Despite their best efforts, Fox and Vos kept meeting in the blind-scenarios. More about their story to come.
***(3) Qui-Gon had lost his original Clone Companion a while ago, and had vowed now to get another one again. He said that his decision was to advocate for the Jedi who are without a CC. Primarily, though, it was that he still had not emotionally recovered from the loss of his friend. His first CC was a Jaster Clone, and he was dubious about the new Jango Clones. He was asked by Yoda to come to Kamino to visit, just to have some of his concerns assuaged. He was drawn to one particular Jedi Candidate and Clone-#2224, who seemed to work together, though not ideally. He comes to realize the Force was guiding them together because he was being guided to them. So, he took young Obi-Wan Kenobi as a Padawan and young Cody as his new Clone Companion. Qui-Gon is very sympathetic that Cody isn't much older than Rex, and yet is expected to be both a mentor to him as well as a Clone Companion to a Jedi Master. He believes in permitting the young men to cause problems, as long as he doesn't catch them. Qui-Gon does tend to drive Cody a bit crazy with his maverick nature.
****(4) Wolffe is selected during the last years of Plo's previous CC's life; he came from the generation prior to Jaster's Clones, and is quite elderly. He lives long enough to mentor Wolffe. Like Qui-Gon with Cody, Plo is a big advocate of giving Wolffe time to be a kid, and sends his large, awkward Clone off with snacks to help him make friends.
****(5) Obviously, there is a story behind this. We are debating which choice. It will be dependent on whether Qui-Gon lives or not. Currently, we're kind of leaning towards Qui-Gon living because… that would just be Cody-cruelty(TM) and we're uncertain if we're up for that.
****(6) Vaughn and Ahsoka were both selected VERY young, which is… VERY unusual. Think: "Too small to fit in proper Trooper armor" young.

it’s a little bit late but in honor of May the Fourth here’s another mumarou AU I wrote on twitter!
-
Did some wiki diving last night and I've got enough for a mumarou jedi au
Gonna start with buckets of backstory because y'all know how I do.
So! Garou's birth planet had voluntary force-testing. His parents didn't bother until he was a toddler. He doesn't remember them, but it definitely flipped a Trust Issues switch in his little baby brain.
He was a good student, he engaged with the material, he loved reading and learning. But when he said he didn't want to be a knight, he'd rather join the service order and be a researcher, the teachers thought it would be a "waste of his talents."
The other younglings mocked him. The service order is for jedi who FAILED to become knights. (It's not, but they're kids.) If you WANT to be a loser you must ALREADY be a loser.
Garou told a teacher, but they too wanted to encourage him toward knighthood.
Soon it became outright bullying, but Garou had given up on authority figures. He threw himself into his combat training and got nothing but praise.
By the time he was a preteen Garou was covering up a lot with a thick layer of faux bravado. It didn't fool many of the adults, but nobody knew what his real feelings were.
He only passed his initiate trials on a technicality. The test is just to get THROUGH the crystal caves, not to find a crystal to build your lightsaber around. Garou never told anyone what the caves showed him, but the bravado was shaken. For a while.
Master Bang ended up giving him a crystal he had, and took Garou as his Padawan once Garou finished building his saber. He saw a lot of potential in Garou, but he thought what Garou needed was discipline and a firm hand.
Garou's grateful, but feels like he's being pitied.
Years pass. Garou does well! He's strong and smart and he learns to be diplomatic. Eventually.
Bang lives (as much as working knights "live" anywhere) at a temple on a peaceful and mostly agrarian world. The temple is a staging area for jedi on their way to lots of places.
Despite the remote location there's a large library where Garou spends most of his downtime. That's where he meets Mumen.
Who isn't a knight. The test that Garou almost failed, Mumen DID fail.
The temple is also a base for the agriculture arm of the service order. They provide food and aid to people all over the galaxy who need it.
Mumen's job at the temple is officially Stable Master. His force powers mostly manifest as being very good with animals (and people).
They bond over liking animals and consuming more popular media than is strictly considered proper for jedi. Mumen would call them friends, though Garou still has a lot of trust issues and would avoid that word.
Garou's issues have not really improved, he's just gotten better at hiding them. He never got over failing to get his own crystal from the cave (even knowing that's not uncommon doesn't help), and he expected to become a knight as soon as he was an adult.
Isn't he strong enough? Doesn't he go on missions alone all the time?
Yes and yes, but Bang doesn't think he's emotionally ready to face the trials, and Garou's reaction didn't exactly help his case.
Garou starts trying to "prove himself" by taking risks, which only gets him in over his head more often than not. He keeps needing to be rescued and feels weaker than ever.
One of Garou's favorite research topics is lightsaber crystals, and in the archives he learns that it used to be more common for jedi to make their own synthetic ones. It's time-consuming and difficult, but leads to a very powerful blade.
Synthetic crystal blades can be so strong that they can even break other lightsaber blades. Which is why they're favored by the sith.
But there's nothing inherently bad about synthetic crystals, so Garou starts learning how to make one.
It takes a long time, but Garou succeeds on the first try, creating a crystal imbued with his own force energy and forged by his emotions.
The blade is strong. VERY strong. But it's red, and every jedi who sees it will know what that means.
One more failure. One more secret.
Garou brings the saber with him on missions, partly as an ace in the hole and partly because he's afraid someone will find it in his room and Know. One of these missions is guarding an aid shipment to a troubled world. Mumen comes along too, to look after the goats.
The shipment is attacked, and during the fight Garou sees Mumen corned. He throws him his own blue lightsaber to defend himself (and it's pretty hot seeing Mumen in action with HIS saber) but soon Garou needs a weapon too and has to use the red one.
It feels... good. It feels RIGHT. It feels like an extension of himself. And the fact that for the first time he was fighting beside someone he TRULY trusts doesn't occur to him.
Mumen is still a jedi, even if he's not a knight. He knows what a red synth crystal means. But he knows Garou is troubled and he knows that what he REALLY needs is someone who is in HIS corner, no matter what. So Mumen keeps his mouth shut.
Garou starts to wonder... If synth crystals aren't bad, and red blades aren't bad, and his "attachments" are the only good thing in his life, what ELSE are the jedi wrong about?
Whenever a mission takes him somewhere seedy, Garou goes looking for sith books and artifacts.
He keeps it a secret, even from Mumen. Mumen is in his corner but that doesn't mean he doesn't try to talk him out of certain things. Garou is sure he can handle a little forbidden knowledge without falling to the dark side.
And it's possible he could have. But one day, on a mission with Bang where he'd taken off to do some "shopping," Garou meets a woman who says she's a scholar. She says she believes all information should be free. That any weapon can be a tool of peace in the right hands.
Her name is Psychos and she's saying exactly what Garou wants to hear. As proof of good intentions, she teaches Garou a forbidden technique that ends his next fight in a single blow.
The first taste is always free...
For a while they keep communicating. Psychos sends Garou scans of books and scrolls and doesn't ask for anything in return. At first.
When Garou does tentatively tell Mumen (he'd wanted to teach Mumen some tricks to defend himself), Mumen is horrified.
This woman is probably a sith and DEFINITELY does not have Garou's best interests in mind. But Garou refuses to hear it. He and Mumen fight, seriously, for the first time.
Garou braces himself for a shoe that never drops. Mumen still doesn't tell anyone about his research.
Not long after the fight with Mumen, Psychos contacts Garou with an offer of a whole bunch of books... but this time she wants payment. Information should be free, right? Nothing wrong with exchanging info for info.
Garou's not exactly buying it. But he REALLY wants those books.
What she's asking for isn't BAD. It's almost public knowledge! It... it should be okay, right?
So he tells her when the next aid shipment is going out. And nothing happens! It's okay!
The next time isn't.
The difference, Garou realizes, is that the second shipment was being guarded by jedi knights. The attack targeted them, and both were badly injured. Even Garou can't avoid the truth anymore - Psychos is giving him sith books and trying to kill jedi. She's a sith and he's a pawn.
Wracked with guilt, Garou tells Mumen everything. He says he needs to make it right, and kisses Mumen in a way that feels like a goodbye.
Mumen's too stunned to respond, but he assumes Garou is going to confess to Bang and accept any punishment.
In the morning Garou's gone.
Days pass. Still, Mumen tells no one. Until one night he wakes up gasping in pain and realizes it's not HIS pain he's feeling.
Garou's in trouble, enough that he's unconsciously reaching out for Mumen through the Force. SAVING Garou is now more important than keeping his trust.
Mumen tells Bang everything he knows. EVERYTHING, since he isn't sure what might be a clue to where he is. But he doesn't mince words that he thinks Bang failed as a mentor. That he never saw the insecurity and loneliness beneath Garou's facade.
Bang isn't happy to hear it, but he IS glad SOMEONE knows what happened to his padawan. Mumen manages to track Garou's research history through the library and figures out where he went. They put together a rescue team, and Bang brings Mumen along with only a token objection.
But when they finally find the hideout, it's empty. And Mumen is still feeling Garou's pain every day. There are no more clues, they have nowhere to start.
They keep searching for a few days, then the pain stops.
Garou's not dead. Mumen and Bang both would have felt it if that happened. But there's an absence now where there shouldn't be. Even if Garou's not reaching for him, they're both Jedi, they SHOULD be able to feel each other if they try.
Either Garou shut down emotionally, or he deliberately shut everyone OUT. Both answers are bad.
It's possible, Bang says, that Garou has given in to the dark side.
Mumen refuses to believe it, but there's nothing anyone can do. They have nothing to go on. They have responsibilities. It's been WEEKS.
They have to go home. Garou's on his own.
Months pass. Bang mourns. So does Mumen, in a quieter way. He still insists Garou will come back though it gets harder to believe it every day.
There are rumors of sith sightings in the system, and Mumen doesn't point out that Bang investigates every single one.
One day, over half a year later, Mumen gets a message. Someone wants to meet him in a secluded area. It's not signed, but Mumen knows the tone.
He doesn't tell Bang. If Garou wanted to see Bang he'd have written to HIM. Mumen saddles up Garou's favorite mount and heads into the wilderness.
Garou has changed in the last six months. He didn't want to let Mumen see him at first, but Mumen didn't give him much of a choice.
His face is scarred. One eye is badly damaged. His skin is ashen gray, the dark side has left its mark on him. And he's cut off his padawan braid.
The first thing Mumen does, however, is tell Garou he loves him. That he's been waiting to say it all this time.
Garou says nothing. But he agrees to tell Mumen where he's been.
So, the last time we saw Garou he'd decided to run off by himself and confront the probable-sith who'd been feeding him information and already badly hurt two jedi. Because that's a good idea.
It took some doing, but Garou traced the messages and packages she'd sent him and finally found her hideout. And her apprentice, Orochi.
It was two against one, and didn't end well, but Garou gave them a hell of a fight on the way down.
But Psychos didn't let Orochi finish the job. She saw promise in Garou, she said. She saw potential. Garou refused instantly, of course, but it wasn't a question.
Every day, Psychos would try to instruct Garou in sith techniques, and every day Garou would refuse to use them.
So Psychos would punish him, torturing him until she got bored. After the "lessons" she would force Garou and Orochi to fight. Whoever won that day would continue to be her apprentice. Orochi won, every day.
Finally, after weeks, Psychos found out Garou's friends were getting close to finding them (though she didn't TELL Garou that, he assumed as much). They packed up, Garou in chains, and prepared to move to a new location.
On the way, Garou managed to get free while the two sith were distracted, and for the first time showed Psychos what he'd learned. The same technique she used to torture him, he used on both of them. He'd been paying attention all along.
He dumped them on one planet and took the stolen ship to another, and only there did he finally get a look at himself. He'd changed, been marked by the dark side. Even if he went home he wouldn't be welcomed (or so he thought, at least).
For a while he lived like a street rat, always traveling, working when he could and stealing when he couldn't. Those rumors Bang had been investigating about sith had all been about Garou.
But he missed the temple. He missed Mumen.
-
I went and found my mumarou jedi au thread again and realized I never really finished it. I mean, I got the boys together and Garou was safe, so it wasn't a cliffhanger. I can't remember if I had more plans beyond that. PRETTY sure Garou was going to reunite with Bang too.

Thinking back on the Star Wars AU my friend and I briefly conceptualized. Lots of ideas, but no proper writing motivation.
Jay is raised in the Empire, but defects when she neets space pirate Chip. They find Jedi padawan Gillion lost and on his own, and become a little trio.
Gillion knows Jay has some force sensitivity, but doesn't know how much until it's revealed she was going to be trained as an Inquisitor under her father before she defected.
Chip is a bit force sensitive - not enough to be a jedi, but it makes him an incredible pilot.
Gillion begins to help Jay learn more of the light side of the force, and shares some about his destiny - he's meant to bring balance back, but before he could learn much more his master died and left him alone.
They find a long-abandoned and hidden jedi temple, and Jay is guided to her own kyber crystal. Gillion has had his own for a bit now.
Jay's saber is a golden color, and she Ezra Bridger-ifys it and gives it a gun function. Gillion's saber is an aqua slash a blue color.
They eventually run into the Rebels - spearheaded by Lizzie, whom Chip shares a history with.
The visual of Chip and Jay and Gillion fighting in sync, guided by the force, is something that can be so personal.
Drey and Finn were both jedi as well, and Arlin was a good mandalorian friend. They vanished during Order 66, tho Chip claims he was briefly raised by Arlin.
They find Drey and Jay asks him to teach them. However, he tells them he can't - he's not fit to be a teacher. He'll offer advice and wisdom, but he can't be their teacher.
Also added cameo of Dakota and Vyncent in the rebellion under the guidance of Tide, who was a clone that survived Order 66 by taking out his chip.
Dakota is force sensitive, but doesn't know that - he just thinks he has an imaginary friend in William, who's a force spirit of a child that died during Order 66.
William teaches Dakota some of what he learned from his master, Mallard Conway. Mallard later turns out to be a Sith lord, who would have taken William with him if William hadn't died.

The Jedi and the Loth Rat (Episode 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kanan Jarrus x Padawan!Reader
link to Episode 1
Warnings: Canon-typical violence/alien beast killing, beginnings of some fluffy romantic angst, mentions of bodies/weight (with the goal of talking positively about weight gain)
Summary: You, Kanan's young (adult) female padawan, are having a hard time adjusting to your new life aboard the Ghost, particularly when you find out that your master, for whom you have complicated feelings, wants to find another Jedi to teach you (reminder—in this AU, there is nothing romantic between Kanan and Hera)
Word count: 4.5k
You sat on the hard ground, your legs folded, your back straight, in proper form. Your eyes were closed. You breathed in.
"Focus," Kanan told you, his voice ringing in your ears as if he were speaking to you from inside a cone of glass. You breathed, focusing all of your energy on the ground beneath you. You reached out, feeling without your fingers. You felt the rock, the sand, the dirt, felt through it all to what sat on top of it. You felt as if you were the ground. You could feel blades of grass growing through you. You could feel your own weight, could feel Kanan's weight, could feel his heart beating through his ankles as he sat. You could feel every stone. Slowly, tentatively, you began to channel this energy. You heard the hum of the ever-living Force as you felt the pebbles and stones around you beginning to lift. You smiled.
"Y/N," you heard Kanan say, and you snapped your eyes open.
For just a moment, you saw the stones of Lothal floating all around you, enclosing you and Kanan in a cylinder of debris. Then your eyes focused on the sea green irises in front of you, that warm, familiar presence in the Force, and you felt all of the stones drop, felt your connection to the ground and the grass passing out of you. You sighed, annoyed.
"You're doing great, Y/N. You just need to learn to keep your focus." Kanan smiled encouragingly at you, and you felt the beginnings of sweat begin to prickle under your arms, your face growing hot. You knew the reason you were having a problem with focusing, but you wouldn't admit it, not even to yourself.
"Did you SEE that? Did you see what Y/N just did?" You heard Sabine yell triumphantly from behind you, where she sat on the Ghost's open ramp. Chopper beeped.
"Eh," Zeb said reluctantly. "I've seen stuff float before." He stood atop the Ghost's gunner, fixing one of the turning anchors.
"Don't listen to him," Sabine said to you, running down into the grass, closer to where you and Kanan were sitting. "That was totally insane."
"Thanks, Sabine," you said, smiling at her and taking the hand she offered to help you up out of your seated position.
The last two months had been the happiest months you'd had since...since you were small. Since your parents had disappeared. You would never admit it, particularly not to Zeb, but the feeling of being in a crew like this—the feeling of being part of a team, of forming real connections—lit within you a devastating warmth, a fire and energy you hadn't known in years. It was a feeling you knew to fear, because you knew what it meant to have a family, and to lose one. Chopper beeped again from the top of the ramp.
"Chop says dinner's ready," Kanan translated, standing up and making for the Ghost.
"Chopper made dinner?" you asked, laughing.
"Hey, even a Loth weasel could rehydrate Tawl beans," Sabine joked, hooking an arm around your neck.
"Tawl beans? Great," Zeb said sarcastically, jumping down from the gunner to enter the ship with the rest of the crew.
"Guess it's time for another supply run soon," Kanan said, pressing the button to raise the ramp once everyone was inside. You made your way to the main hull, sitting around the table with Sabine and Zeb while Chopper, that roguish bundle of wires and metal, pressed the buttons on the rehydrater to pour out helpings of the flavorful, nutrient-rich beans into bowls. As Kanan passed these around, you noticed once again that your helping was the largest by far, larger even than Zeb's. You said nothing. You knew that Kanan had instructed the entire crew to serve you extra food, knew that he had done so with good intentions, but it had been two months. You could admit that you had gained some much-needed weight and muscle since you'd joined the ghost crew. Your days of scavenging being over, you were finally receiving three solid, nutritious meals a day, and you had watched as your body filled in certain places, grew tighter and stronger in others from the daily training exercises Kanan put you through. Still, Kanan's insistence on making sure you had enough to eat, and his cautious, watchful eye, made you feel a little uncomfortable. You worried that maybe he thought you were the weak link—that maybe he saw you only as a child, someone that needed to be cared for, watched. You were not a child, anymore, and you didn't want him to think you were scrawny, or fragile.
As if sensing your train of thought, Kanan looked at you curiously, and you worked to place a contented-feeling lens over your Force presence, keeping your face inexpressive as you began to eat your Tawl beans with the rest of the crew. Over the past two months, you'd trained almost daily with the illustrious Jedi, and you'd grown very fond of him. A bit too fond, you thought, and you forced the idea out of your brain once again, making sure to keep your Force block heavy. As his padawan, you admired Kanan for so many reasons—his strength, his gentle energy, his empathy, his leadership and care for the rest of the crew. You'd developed a very close bond in friendship with him, and it was this bond that threatened you now. A bond as strong as the one developing between the two of you, master and padawan, meant that Kanan was very sensitive to your changes in energy—your thoughts, feelings. You, in turn, could readily intuit Kanan's changes in mood. Of course, Kanan could not read your thoughts—for this you were very grateful—but he could feel your unease, your fear of failure, your insecurity as you navigated both your training and your adjustment to life within this group of extraordinary individuals. In some ways, it was difficult being so in tune with Kanan. In other ways, ways you wouldn't admit even to yourself, you craved this closeness. You wanted more.
"We have an incoming transmission," Hera told the crew, coming into the hull from the cockpit. "From Commander Sato." Hera took the only remaining bowl of beans and sat, placing the long-distance comm in the middle of the table. Commander Sato's grainy hologram projected from the small device.
"Rebels," the commander began, "we are in dire need of your assistance. A fleet departed from the squadron to deliver supplies to the base on Atollon, led by Fulcrum herself, two days ago." The commander paused, clearing his throat. "They never made it to Atollon. We don't know where they are." Sato turned to face Kanan, who lowered his bowl, straightening. "We have no way of tracking them," Sato said, "and we require...special assistance." Kanan nodded.
"I can't guarantee that we will be able to find them," Kanan said, "but we will do our best."
"Thank you," the commander replied formally, saluting the Jedi, and then Hera. "Contact us again when you can, Captain Syndulla."
"We will," Hera told him, before the transmission cut off, and the hologram disappeared.
"Guess the supply run will have to wait," Zeb said, eyeing his Tawl beans scornfully.
"Who's Fulcrum?" you asked, curious, lowering your bowl to the table.
Zeb snorted. "That's need to know."
"Yeah, and we don't even know," Sabine said, looking from Kanan to Hera.
"Fulcrum is our contact from within the wider galactic rebellion," Hera told you. "Her identity is kept secret for all our sakes." You nodded, narrowing your eyes. You didn’t like secrets.
"Finish your beans," Kanan told you, getting up to return to his quarters. You scowled. You knew that Kanan watched over you out of care, but he spoke as if he would to a child, and this frustrated you. You reluctantly did as he instructed, finishing the bowl before putting it into the dish refresher and returning to your bunk. Sabine followed you.
"I don't know about you, but I'm feeling inspired," Sabine said, scoping the walls of the room you shared, looking for blank space that hadn't yet been painted on, drawn on, or colored in some way.
"I don't share the sentiment," you said, throwing yourself onto your bunk in an irritated silence.
"What? Why?" Sabine asked you, sitting down on the edge of your bed, situated beneath hers. "Your training is going so well. That rock thing was the coolest—"
"Training is going fine," you said, cutting her off and massaging your temples. "But Kanan doesn't trust me. He's watching over me like I'm about to break, at any second." You sighed. "And neither does Hera. She won't tell me who Fulcrum is, and I have this weird sense..." you paused, thinking hard, "I have this weird sense about Fulcrum. I'm not sure what it means."
Sabine put a bracing hand on your arm. "Kanan and Hera trust you fully. I know it's frustrating, the Fulcrum secrecy," Sabine laughed, "but we need to trust Hera, in that respect. At least when it comes to the inner workings of the rebellion." Sabine looked at you and smiled, a bit of a playful smile, and continued. "And Kanan...well, I could say that's just the way that he is, but..." Sabine grinned a bit too widely. You held your breath. "I mean, I don't understand any of that Jedi stuff," she backtracked. "Maybe you should talk to him about it yourself."
This thought was nerve-wracking, but then again, you were never one to back down from anyone, not even Kanan. You nodded in agreement, standing up.
"Go easy on him, though," Sabine said, laughing at your expression. She appreciated having another girl on board, a girl close to her age, a girl more temperamental and volatile than Zeb and Chopper combined.
"I have no idea what you mean," you said, raising your nose in the air, and you left Sabine laughing in your room, striding across the hallway to Kanan's quarters.
"Come in," you heard him say, before you'd knocked. You knew what Zeb meant. Jedi could be annoying. You pressed the button on the side panel to open the door.
You found Kanan in a kneeled position, his eyes closed, the holocron open in front of him. Its many pieces floated around, in the middle them a mess of stars, a blurry universe in which you couldn't make out specific shapes.
"What are you doing with the holocron?" You asked inquisitively, pressing the button to close the door behind you.
"I'm searching," Kanan responded, keeping his eyes closed. "Searching for Fulcrum."
This interested you. "The holocron can find people?" You asked, your eyes wide, as you kneeled down on its other side, facing Kanan.
"Some people," Kanan responded. "The workings of the holocron are illusive...ever-changing. Much like the Force." He opened his eyes, to look at you, and when he did, the holocron snapped back into its shape.
"Fulcrum is a Jedi Knight. Or, at least, someone who was once a Jedi..." Kanan said. You raised your eyebrows involuntarily. "A Jedi named Ahsoka Tano."
"Why are you telling me this, if you haven't told Sabine and Zeb?" you asked, genuinely curious.
"Because I know you're frustrated, Y/N." Your breath stopped in your throat as Kanan spoke. "And I know why." You looked at him, startled. He knew...what? That you wanted him to see you as an equal? That you wanted him to recognize your strength, your resilience? That you wanted him to regard you with less caution, less care, regard you as he would Hera, or Sabine, or Zeb? Perhaps that you wanted him to regard you as more than he would the rest of his crew? That you wanted...you pushed the thoughts again out of your mind, strengthening the mask over your Force presence.
"I worry that I won't be able to teach you much longer," Kanan continued, and at this, your heart dropped through the floor of the Ghost, to the ground below. "You're growing so strong, so fast...it's difficult. I'm telling you of Ahsoka's existence because I believe she might be a more fitting master for you. I believe she might be able to train you in ways I cannot."
You listened to his words, clinging to your Force mask, but it was difficult. You felt tears forming behind your eyes, but you willed them not to spill. Not yet. He didn't want to train you. He didn't want to train you because he didn't care for you, at least, not in the way you cared for him. He could never care for you, like that. He wanted to dump you off on some other Jedi. He was sick of having you on his crew, sick of trying to make sure you were strong enough, annoyed at having to watch over you. Your stomach churned, a ball of fire in your throat. You didn't feel you could speak, or else the fire would spill out into your mouth, into your eyes, the tears threatening to flow.
"Y/N? Are you all right?" Kanan asked, but you would not look at him.
"Yes," you managed. "I just need to process this." You were amazed at how steady your words sounded, how emotionless, how casual. You'd always had the gift of manipulating your voice. You supposed at least some of your Force abilities might prove useful. "Of course," Kanan said, nodding to you that you may leave, and without a glance back at him, you plunged yourself out of his quarters, walking quickly to the ladder to the lower deck. As you descended to your hiding place, your Force block fell away, and you let the tears fall.

"Are you sure these are the right coordinates?" Hera asked Kanan, sitting in the pilot's seat, him in the co-pilot's.
"No," Kanan said honestly, "but it's a lead. There's some kind of Force wrinkle there. We should be ready for anything."
"Prepare to leave," Hera said over the ship's comms, instructing the rest of her crew into position. Kanan performed his few co-pilot duties as the ship took off, and then sat back, deep in thought.
He didn't want to have to stop your training. The thought of finding Ahsoka, of leaving you with her, made his mouth go dry, made him want to run from the room. But it was the only way—he'd sensed your frustration at his training, sensed that you knew your abilities far outstripped his. And in almost all ways, they did. While Kanan could teach you what he'd learned of the Force, the Jedi ways of old, your ability to wield it and to harness its power far exceeded his own. You were stronger than even you knew. Kanan had meditated and meditated, and he could see no other alternative—you needed a better teacher than him. You needed someone who could keep up with you.
"You hanging in, Spectre 1?" Hera asked, looking over at Kanan, whose hands were over his eyes.
"Hanging in just fine, Spectre 2." Kanan looked out the viewport at hyperspace as it flashed by. He knew he must let go of his own feelings, knew he must forgo attachments. He thought back over the last few months he'd had with you, how you had grown sturdier, so strong, so healthy, right in front of him. He'd seen you work through and master skills in the Force that had taken him years in mere days. He dwelled for a moment on the memory of your face, triumphant, when you'd opened your eyes to find that you'd floated the entire Ghost up into the air. Your eyes had shown so brightly. You'd been so pleased.
Kanan rapidly pushed his thoughts and feelings away. He knew what was best for you, knew what was best for your training, and he mustn't let his own feelings get in the way.
"Coming out of hyperspace in 3...2..." Hera spoke over the comms. The ship emerged, somewhere in deep space, revealing in front of them the form of a freighter that looked as if it had no power.
"That's Fulcrum's ship," Hera said, looking puzzled.
"Something's wrong," Kanan said, his Force presence snapping into focus.
"Prepare to board," Hera said over the comms, hurrying out of the cockpit, Kanan behind her.
"I'm sensing—" you said to Kanan as the crew ran to get in position at the back of the ship.
"I know," Kanan replied, understanding that you both had sensed the same disturbance.
"So we're just willingly walking into danger, no planning, no backup?" You asked, your voice full of snark.
"Just like we always do!" Hera said brightly. "Chopper, open the gate."
The ghost crew inched forward onto the freighter. It looked deserted—the lights were out, and except for a flicker and spark here and there, all was quiet. The crew continued through the hallway, looking at each other. They'd all noticed the state of the ship—that panels were broken everywhere, the metals of parts of the wall pulled back, lights broken.
"Was this the scene of a fight?" You whispered.
"Not a fight with blasters," Hera whispered back, examining the torn metal on the floors and walls.
"Not a great sign," Zeb said, a bit too loudly. Before it happened, you and Kanan both turned quickly, watching as the large, clawed creature jumped toward Zeb's back. Kanan, his lightsaber drawn faster than visible to the eye, cut it to pieces, the large growl escaping its lips causing everyone to turn in shock.
"Gundarks!" Hera shouted, as two more of them ran through the ship's abandoned hallway toward the crew. Kanan saw you draw your lightsaber, thanking his stars that you had found that kyber crystal. He heard blasts from behind him as Sabine, Hera, and Zeb shot at the beasts, Chopper squealing wildly. Though the blasters were able to kill the two monsters, from behind them he heard more rumbling forward.
"Run!" Zeb yelled, and the crew didn't need telling twice. Kanan brought up the rear, panting, following his crew out of this hallway and into the next.
"In here!" he heard you yell, and the crew tumbled into a storage closet, Kanan waving the door closed behind him.
"How in blazes did Gundarks get aboard a ship in deep space?" Sabine squeaked, removing her helmet.
"That is concerning. But more pressing is the matter of the crew. Are there not any survivors?" Hera asked, looking around at Kanan.
"And where's Fulcrum?" Zeb asked, Chopper beeping his agreement.
"It would take more than Gundarks to kill a Jedi," you said, a moment seeming to pass before you'd realized your mistake.
"A JEDI?!" both Sabine and Zeb yelled.
"Well, I guess we know Y/N can't keep a secret," Kanan said, looking at you sternly. You squirmed.
"Whoops?" you said, shrugging. Kanan saw through your innocent mask. You didn't like secrets, he knew.
"We should split up," Hera said, "and look for survivors. Kanan, you, Sabine, and Chop will search the starboard side of the ship. Y/N, Zeb, and I will search the other side."
"But—" Kanan started, looking wildly at you, and back to Hera. Kanan noticed you scowl.
"We need a lightsaber in both groups. They're the most effective weapons against creatures this large," Hera said, her mind always on the tactical advantage.
       "Fine," Kanan said, "let's go."
The crew crept out of the storage locker.
"Keep quiet," Sabine said, "Gundarks can hear you before they see you."
You put up a hand in understanding, and then followed Hera and Zeb down the corridor, Kanan watching you go.
"I don't know why you worry about her," Sabine said. "She's on her way to becoming our best fighter."
"Shh," Kanan responded, leading Sabine and Chopper in the other direction. They walked quietly over the first floor, climbing a ladder to the next.
"So, Fulcrum's a Jedi, eh?" Sabine said, unable to help herself.
"Not now, Sabine," Kanan responded, trying to keep his senses alert.
       "I just thought, you know—"
But what Sabine thought was quickly cut off by a growl, so close to her head Chopper squealed and beeped. The blur of the lightsaber illuminated the hallway, completely filled with Gundarks. Sabine started to blast them, but one of the beasts knocked her blaster out of her hand. Kanan worked quickly and tirelessly, defending Sabine and Chopper from the attacks. They kept coming. There were so many of them. Y/N, Kanan thought, a lump in his stomach, and then—
Two white blades illuminated the hallway from the opposite end. And all Kanan and Sabine could do was watch in amazement as the Togruta flew through the air, swiping her lightsabers quickly, back and forth, back and forth, spinning around until every Gundark was slain.
"Boy is it good to see you," Kanan said, astounded.
       "Kanan," Ahsoka nodded in recognition.
"Our friends," Sabine piped up from behind Kanan's shoulder. "We need to find them—"
"Follow me," Ahsoka said, walking quickly and quietly through the hallway filled with dead beasts. Kanan, Sabine, and Chopper followed.
"I know what you've come here to ask me, Kanan Jarrus." Ahsoka spoke as she walked, without turning around.
       "You do?" Kanan asked, surprised.
"I do. But I'm afraid I cannot train the girl."
       Sabine gasped, looking at Kanan.
"Ahsoka, you don't understand," Kanan said, catching up to the Togruta and hurrying alongside her. "She's so strong in the Force. I'm worried there isn't much more I can teach her."
"I sense there is something larger at work here," Ahsoka replied. "But my decision is final. It is the will of the Force. You must be the one to train her."
Part of Kanan felt disappointed, but, if he were being honest with himself, a larger part of him felt elated. You'd get to stay. You would stay with him, on the Ghost. He wouldn't have to say goodbye to you, after all.
"If that is your decision," Kanan said respectfully, "then I accept that." The group heard the sound of growls up ahead, and sped up. When they turned the corner, they came upon a familiar scene—you stood guard in front of Hera and Zeb, their blasters broken on the ground, swinging your lightsaber around, killing Gundarks left and right.
"I guess they didn't need our help after all," Ahsoka said, giving Kanan a knowing look.
Tumblr media
You wiped your brow, the corpse of the last Gundark lying at your feet.
"Impressive," you heard an unfamiliar voice say. You looked around. There were Kanan, Sabine, and Chopper, and a face you didn't know, though, now that you regarded her, it felt as if you'd seen her face in a dream.
"You must be Ahsoka Tano," you said, smiling, and then your smile wavered. You remembered that Kanan had come here to pass you off.
"I'm happy to make your acquaintance, Y/N," Ahsoka responded. You wondered how she already knew your name.
"Ahsoka, how did these Gundarks get aboard?" Hera asked.
"I'm not sure. It does seem that someone is trying to make our shipment's failure look like an accident," Ahsoka said, surveying the damage. "The crew is hiding in the command center. I've been sneaking around, trying to fix our comms to send a transmission, but—"
"We found you first," Kanan said triumphantly.
"Yes, you did," Ahsoka smiled. "With the auxiliary power from your ship, we should be able to make necessary repairs and get these supplies to their destination."
"I can help with the repairs," Sabine said brightly, looking as if she would like to prove herself useful.
"Y/N," Kanan said quietly, "we need to talk." You nodded to him, and he led you away from the group, away from the fallen Gundarks, over to a long flight seat situated near a hallway viewport. Kanan sat, and you followed suit. You knew what was coming. You knew he was going to tell you to leave the ghost crew. You knew he was going to tell you goodbye.
"I'm sorry, Y/N," Kanan said, looking out the viewport at the stars. "I shouldn't have gotten your hopes up. Ahsoka is a very skilled Jedi, far more skilled than I." He turned to look at you, the side of his face illuminated in the blueish light of deep space. He looked cinematic, lit by the stars. He looked like everything you'd already been dreaming of, since the moment you met him. "She believes it is the way of the Force that I train you myself."
You took this in, watching Kanan's face, the realization of his words hitting you slowly.
"I won't make this difficult for you, Kanan," you said, looking down at your hands. "You don't have to train me. It's okay."
"Difficult? What in stars you talking about, Y/N," Kanan said, exhaling through his mouth. You looked up at him, working hard to keep your true feelings out of your Force presence, overwhelmed by the intensity of his gaze.
"I know you wanted to dump me off on Ahsoka," you said. "I know you wanted someone else to take responsibility for me. But I'm strong enough to look after myself, Kanan. I've been doing it for years. It's okay that you don't want to train me anymore."
"Blazes, Y/N," Kanan said, looking out at the stars again, smiling in spite of himself. "I didn't want to dump you on Ahsoka. I just wanted you to have the best teacher." He reached out and put his hand on your arm, above your elbow, and your body twitched forward, wanting to be closer to him, wanting him to touch you more.
"I don't want the best teacher," you said, unable to stop yourself, "I want you." Both of you bathed in those last few words, you shocked at your own admission.
"I didn't mean it like that," you said, hoping he didn't take it the wrong way, that he didn't take it to mean exactly what you'd truly meant.
"No, I'm certainly not the best," Kanan said, laughing, stroking your arm up and down. The air left your lungs. "But I will train you, Y/N. As much as I am able."
Feeling his hand on your arm, his eyes looking into yours, the stars illuminating the two of you, you felt as if your feelings for him were as heavy as the world itself. You were trying hard to hold the world up, but your feelings were growing and growing. You predicted it would only be a matter of time before they grew too heavy, before they fell and flattened you. You worked hard to keep your Force presence clear of this, to communicate only friendship and admiration to Kanan, but you worried that before long your feelings would burst forth like a tidal wave, crushing you both.

Anakin Headcannons Part 3
(Part 1) (Part 2)
Welcome to Part 3 of my Anakin Skywalker Headcannons! The other 2 parts are linked above, and as always please mind the various triggers. Both cannon typical and those that are mentioned in my previous posts! Please read those first since I may be referencing some previous headcannons!
Some things may be dipping more into the AU category, but still very cannon!
Anyways, lets get started!
----------------
-Ashoka actually likes doing makeup, but never really on herself since its a lot more difficult to practice on herself. One day she asked Anakin if she could practice on him and of course, he accepted. At first, she was pretty terrible but now she has done some really good looks and even as a small secret business going to help other young Jedi Padawans learn. Or just doing their make-up for when they are sneaking out to go to parties. Obi-Wan just looks the other way.
-Speaking of Make-up, Anakin does really like to be pampered. Ashoka convinced him and Obi-Wan to go to a nail salon and while Obi-Wan wasn’t a huge fan, Anakin loved it. He always lets Ashoka pick out the colors, and its a really good way for them to bond (and get Anakin to relax for even a little bit). If Padme has time, she also loves to join as well. Unfortunately, the nail polish doesn’t last very long, especially during the middle of war but its a nice break for a while.
-Anakin enjoys cooking! He often is usually the one in charge in the kitchen while Obi-Wan is banned from the kitchen due to either burning things, dropping things or just cutting himself. Ashoka however helps a lot, and is really good at trying new spices or finding new recipes. Obi-Wan has resigned himself to becoming the designated taste tester.
-Anakin has once become incredibly offended over the fact that Artoo said C-3PO was his best friend and didn’t talk to the astromech for a week. It took Artoo having to create BFF friendship bracelets (with Ashoka’s help) for Anakin to forgive him. He still holds the bracelet in his storage compartment. Obi-Wan watched with genuine confusion before just accepting that this was his life.
-Anakin, on many occasions, has experienced Gay panic. Padme and Obi-Wan thinks its hilarious. Especially when he’s all flustered and embaressed when someone his hitting on him in the bar. And yes, while he normally doesn’t LIKE being hit on, that’s usually on missions or when Anakin is not in the mood. Having a night out with Padme or Obi-Wan makes him much more relaxed. That and he can sense that they aren’t like the people he knew when he was young. Or like Palpatine.
-Anakin doesn’t really like kids all that much. 1. Cause he ever really had a proper childhood so he genuinely doesn’t know how to act around them. 2. He has no patience for them sometimes. 3. Also because of not having a good childhood, he sometimes feels really envious to them. He wishes he had what they had.
-Anakin is very good at dancing! However, he doesn’t really like it all that much. He’ll dance for Padme or Obi-Wan, but he doesn’t really do it for fun.
-Anakin loves listening to the violin. Whenever he is having a really hard time sleeping, he’ll play violins in the background.
-Anakin didn’t talk for 3 weeks when Ashoka left. He was utterly devastated and never before did a hole in his heart hurt so much. There was empty space left when Ashoka disappeared, and while at first he did feel angry, he then became sad. Defeated. Broken. Other than Obi-Wan, Anakin truely felt like their was nothing left to the order. It was then that Anakin’s trust in the council, the jedi, was broken. Cause no matter how much they hurt him, he could never forgive them for taking Ashoka away.
-Anakin almost left with Ashoka. She told him to stay. “You have Obi-Wan” she would state. “He needs you more than I do. We’ll see each-other again Skyguy”. Next time they saw each other, they were enemies.
-I love the idea that Anakin is some form of God or Eldritch being in a way. He just never fully realizes HOW powerful he actually is. No one else realizes either. Most of it is because Anakin is terrified of himself sometimes. Throughout his Padawan years, he often had to pretend that their were somethings that just didn’t come easy to him after getting lectured a lot by Teachers and Obi-Wan. The force is just so natural for him to control that people believe he’s cheating somehow. And when the Darkness overtakes him? No one realizes that it pretty much kills everything Anakin was. It’s the first time that the force completly overtakes Anakin, and all that was left is just a force being, not Anakin. He was now fully submerged and held no control of it. It was only until Luke that he was able to gain enough strength to pull himself out.
-There was a temple that Anakin went to when he was young. A temple that had their force abilities turn against them. To learn how to defend themselves when the force is gone, when the force resists. Anakin almost died the moment he stepped in. He never went back.
-Speaking of how much the force can overwhelm Anakin, there are many moments when things become TOO much for Anakin. He’ll start bleeding out of his nose, his mouth and eyes and ears. The only way to stop this is to put a force inhibitor collar on him. He’s usually left in the medbay for a week or two afterwards.
-Force Inhibitor collars don’t work the same on Anakin as they do on everyone else. Anakin still has a lot of access to the force, its just wild and uncontrollable. There has been only one time he has been completely cut off from the force, and it almost killed him. It was a punishment from Palpatine.
-As we know, Anakin was heavily groomed by Palpatine but theres a lot more to it than that. Palpatine often abused him heavily, emotionally destroying him through humiliation. He may wanted to groom Anakin’s hatred, and anger. However, he first wanted Anakin to fear him. To fear him MORE than anything else. He does physically abuse him, but its much more rare and its when Palpatine loses control. Anakin always just says its due to clumsiness and no one questions.
-Anakin sometimes has too much energy, to the point where Obi-Wan tells him to run around the temple or wherever they are until he’s tired enough that he’s not bouncing off the walls anymore. Anakin also puts up much stronger sheilds that day since more often then not, its the force leaking into him.
-This is very much an AU HC, but Anakin can’t die. The force has refused it. His first death was when he was 6 years old after an incredibly harsh punishment from Watto.
-Continuing the one above, he has also found himself trapped in a water planet. Constantly drowning until he was finally able to find land. Obi-Wan and Ashoka thought he was dead. Anakin just pretended he was stranded until he was able to find a way to contact them
-Anakin is the best person to go to, if you wanna sneak out of the temple. As much as Obi-Wan has tried to find Anakin's secrets, it never works and he is always left confused on how this is happening.
-Anakin is incredibly protective of the clones. He has on multiple occasions gotten in trouble from starting fights. Usually punching someone who was talking trash about the clones.
-He hates that Clones are pretty much slaves. He firmly declares to the 501st that they are allowed to disobey, they are allowed to call him out for a bad call, they are allowed to question. They will NEVER be punished for their failings. And Anakin does this for every new shiny as well. While under his command, they will never feel the way he did. Many clones hope they can end up in the 501st
-Ashoka didn’t have the same mindset at first when she became Anakin’s Padawan. It was the first and only time Anakin was genuinely truly angry at her. He almost decided to not have her as his padawan, before calming down and deciding to teach her to be better. She quickly learned and apologized once she realized the error of her ways.
-Anakin, during his Padawan days, was drugged once. He was pressured into sneaking out for a party, and one of the Padawans gave him a drink. Which of course was drugged. Lets just say they wanted their way with him, but he was able to push them off (eventually) and called Obi-Wan. He tried to tell Obi-Wan what happened, but his master never believed him. Thinking he willingly took drugs and decided to go off and party. Anakin never bothered to correct him. He was just happy a year later that padawan was sent to the agricorps, never to be seen again.
-Anakin never really got a long with the other padawan’s and jedi. He was too old. To emotional. Too...much of anything that they never really liked him. Either he was bullied or ignored, or often made fun of when he struggle with writing and reading. So he often kept his distance. The only reason that situations like mentioned above is because of Obi-wan pressuring him to make friends. Understanding that their are bullies, but struggling to understand just how isolated Anakin is.
-Anakin has known Obi-Wan wasn’t a good teacher for him. He could never understand things the way Anakin needed him to. He critizied when Anakin needed encouragement. He punished instead of rewarded. And for a long time, Anakin thought Obi-Wan was his master. In the slave sense. He knows better now, but he can’t help the small moments of terror when Obi-wan gets angry.
-Obi-Wan rarely gets angry, and Anakin has learned not to show emotions when that happens. To push down the feeling of fear. To push away the need to cry. To ignore the deep sting of humilation when Obi-Wan yells at him in front of the clones. Or worse...Ashoka. He feels an even greater shame when Ashoka steps in to defend himself. However, the things he hates the most are Obi-Wan’s apologies. After all, he was right to yell at him. Obi-Wan is never wrong.
-Ashoka asked Anakin why he seems to just shut down whenever Obi-Wan is angry at him. He never gave her a proper response.
-Vader is both happy, and sad that Rex never turned. He wished that rex was with him both as Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Vader. He wished he was there for his worst moments. He wishes he was still here, as his captain. But he knows better, he knows how selfish that is. Now he just hopes Rex is with Ashoka, and that they are both okay.
-Anakin genuinely feels safe around Rex. He’s one of the few people he fully relaxes around, and feels comfortable enough to show emotions beyond what he should feel as a Jedi. He knows more things about Anakin than even Padme or Obi-Wan does. More often then not, it takes a LOT for Rex to hold himself back and not give Obi-Wan the punch to the face he deserves. Especially when Anakin told him horror stories of things he experiences as a slave, as a padawan and even as a knight that Obi-Wan never believes.
-In turn, Rex shares to Anakin his insecurities. His doubt of the Jedi and the Republic. “For if they could do the things to you, why would they ever care about us?”. Anakin is always silent then. But he does his best to comfort. Rex hopes Anakin died quickly after Order 66.
-Anakin often overthinks too much. He tries not too, but this boi is filled to the brim with anxiety and worry. (Probably has some form of anxiety disorder). He tries his best to not show it as he seen how much Obi-Wan tries to lecture him out of it, and how much it annoys Ashoka. At least, he doesn’t verbalize his worries but instead mentally prepares in case anything goes wrong.
-The thing that vader is the most angry at Obi-Wan for, is not killing him on Mustafar. Well, the thing Anakin is the most angry for. He wished he died amongst his fellow Jedi instead of the Dark Side consuming him. He wished Obi-Wan saw something was wrong. He wished Padme knew what was happening with Palpatine. He wished...and wished...and wished.
-He was just happy Luke was okay. And Leia. He is so proud of them, and so grateful that he was able to gain control back before he ‘died’. Now he wanders the galaxy alone, making sure nothing ever controls him again.(Going back to the AU that Anakin can’t die). Finding new ways to heal, to leave the suit once he realize how much palpatine forced him to stay inside. He was still scared, still limbless. But at least he could start, slowly returning back to the way he was. Or close to it. With the force’s help. The force was...almost apologetic for what it did. Even the force makes mistakes.

FOOLPROOF, FOOLHARDY IS SO GOOD! You've gotten me OBSESSED with role reversal aus! PLEASE tell me another chapter is coming soon? 🥰
can’t say much about the next chapter of course, but I promise it ends with a) them together and b) obi-wan still a knight
So can you just imagine like obi-wan’s knighting ceremony after they get together is like so solemn and proper and of course obi-wan gives his braid to his master qui-gon jinn but as soon as he exits the council chambers, anakin is there to sweep him off his feet and spin him around before setting him down and running his hands through his hair and rubbing their noses together because he’s so proud of his not padawan almost padawan could have been padawan but now love of his life obi
