#protect our black people

At some point I wonder if Black people get tired of consistently having egg on their face. Y’all love to defend other groups, but they rarely ever do the same for us as Black people.
Black people like to defend Latinos and they get a bunch of lightskinned and mixed Latinos saying the Ni**er to their faces because of their general ignorance of race vs ethnicity.
Black people like to defend indigenous people and they those same indigenous peoples(this really only applies to the ones in the south like the Cherokee, Seminole, Creek, and Chickasaw, and Choctaw) rarely ever acknowledge the fact they were oppressors to Black people. Or when’s someone brings it up, it’s “but they were kinder than the white people!” Like please-
Black people defend Asians, especially South East Asians, and we get them calling us slurs in their own language, extreme colorism, extreme texturism, and generational prejudice and biases about black people.
Black people defend biracials and their “blackness” and instead we get them replacing and erasing us in our own shows, other media, and praising the white features that they inherited from their white parent. Meanwhile, darkskinned women from Africa are called Eurocentric because they’re beautiful and have different features(despite black people saying we come in all shades and colors and features. Black people don’t like it when those different features aren’t on a mixed or biracial girl)
Black people defend the lgbt community and we get their community members saying we as black women aren’t women because of white supremacy.
Like are we not tired! Are you not tired of constantly being laughed at and being made the joke of the world?! Are you not tired your people are considered the front line warriors who will defend everyone if they don’t deserve it?! Would it kill the black community, especially the black girls and women, to focus on ourselves and our image that’s slowly disappearing. When will we learn to say it’s not our fight.

"how can you be an animorphs fan and support Israel?"
I don't know, how CAN I be the fan of a book series talking about kids being forced to grow up too fast due to being a part of a war that has been going on for longer than they're alive, trying to defend their home against an invading force?
Seeing how this situation affects their mental state, world view and relationships with each other? Not being able to fully trust anyone else because they can turn out to secretly wish for your demise?
How can I be the fan of a series that mirrors the way I grew up, of feeling scared and lost and small but knowing that you have to keep going because there's no other way?
Knowing that the other side has people who are like you, who never really wanted to hurt anyone but are being forced to fight too, who were brainwashed from birth to not see people like you as people?
Knowing that innocents die in war, that cruel, messed up, unjust things happen in wars but not seeing another way forward?
Wanting to save your loved ones who are now being kept hostages?
YEAH I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I, AN ISRAELI PERSON, BE AN ANIMORPHS FAN?
#animorphs: there's no black and white but sometimes you have to fight to protect the people you love#people on tumblr: ISRAEL BAD PALESTINE GOOD#Hey remember how every time the animorphs kill a hork bajir controller#they kill both an innocent hork bajir hostage and a yeerk that is threatened with starvation by their superiors if they won't fight?#remember how most taxxons only agreed to collaborate with the yeerks because they feel like being puppets is better than constant hunger?#remember how Serrow only wanted to do something good but ended up causing an intergalactic war?#remember how as early as book 6 Jake didn't blink before boiling alive dozens of helpless yeerks?#remember how the Howelrs who exterminated countless species were merely toddlers playing controlled by a higher being?#REMEMBER HOW ANIMORPHS IS A FUCKING COMPLICATED BOOK SERIES AND EVEN OUR HEROES COMMITED ATROCITIES THAT HAUNTED THEM EVERY DAY?#AND HOW WE STILL ROOTED FOR THEM BECAUSE WE KNEW WHY THEY DID THIS AND WHERE THEY'RE COMING FROM?#HOW MOST OF THEIR ATROCITIES WEREN'T JUST KILLING FOR THE SAKE OF KILLING?#Unlike you know#what Hamas is doing#killing for the sake of killing#sacrificing their own people in the process#brainwashing and treathening their population#Remember how the war is actually a chess game between two larger entities that use everyone else as a peon for the war between themselves?#Hm now that surely sounds familiar#Imagine thinking that a fictional war in a book series for kids is more complicated and morally grey than one in real life#And that you can know everything about it from Twitter and tik tock#Couldn't be me lol

screaming crying coughing up blood every time i have to fucking defend genocide joe bc ppl wanna lie and say he isn't responsible for most of the best domestic policy we've seen in decades
his foreign policy is dogshit, yes, and he should rightly be called on it and primaried out, but we can criticize the shit he's actually done wrong instead of making shit up about him ~not doing anything good~

i think you can have an anger and distrust towards white trans people as a whole without being a weirdo transmisogynistic freak about it. white people have demonstrated over and over again that theyll choose to use their white privileges to rule over whatever minority group they fall into. but that doesnt suddenly make transmisogyny okay. i personally despise white lgbt ppl for sure. they have and continue to hurt me. but that doesnt mean its all bets off....

This post is for anyone who wants to interact with it but I'm addressing it to white Americans. Cops are racist, violence wanting demons. We know that, but they're not just racist. I'm not saying that that's not comfortably bad enough, it is. What I am saying is that you can't interact with them as if you're not a potential target. They're looking for any opportunity to get anybody for anything. They're violent to black people because they think they can get away with it, and if for some reason they think they can get away with it they'll rough you up too.
I think what I'm saying is that you cannot view your whiteness as a get out of jail free card. It's not magic. It's a tool but it won't save you. You have to view it as a suit of armor. You have a suit of armor, your nonwhite friends do not have armor. It is moral, noble and just to protect them and shield them because you are less likely to die. But men in armor still die by the sword and you gotta remember that you're not invincible. And if, god forbid, your armor has a chink in it for some reason, say you're homeless, you're visibly disabled, you're poor and people can tell, you're visibly trans, you're a sex worker, you need to be aware of that and act accordingly. You can't trust your whiteness to carry you through an interaction with the police. They've got guns, you don't. They're suspicious of you, you gotta be suspicious of them always, not just when racial minorities they could hurt are around. Especially then, but not just then

got in trouble for telling the bloke on the architecture programme on the television to shut up and tbh it was worth it because I am sick to death of mainlanders going ‘ooughg the power,,,, of the landscape,,,,’ like fuck off
#you’re not even showing the best area of that particular area yet alone actually powerful landscapes#you won't do that because it's near a half-abandoned shack town without paved roads and sometimes there's whale carcasses#like there was when I went there#it's either the landscape or the wombats there's hardly ever any acknowledgement people live here#part of me does suspect they don't wanna acknowledge the massive issues here like the health crisis or the housing crisis#or that this place has a people history#which I think people don't want to acknowledge because of the black war and the resulting genocide#like yeah a good chunk of here is wilderness and it should be protected and celebrated but also there is so much.#I hesitate to say fetishism because that feels extreme. but it feels like that.#with all the mainlander or even international seachangers driving up the prices of everything because they're a lucrative market#and I understand that. since the manufacturing industry collapsed here and the poms stopped buying our apples#you gotta do what you gotta do.#but like. the air of exclusivity some people want is annoying at best#and shit like 'the power of the landscape' is fuelling that#I mean hell if we get acknowledged as being bigger sheepshaggers than the kiwis that's a start#idk. I'm just so annoyed because I'm terrified of needing to go to the hospital because there's a chance I mightn't get care#meanwhile the only references to here are how pretty the landscapes are. and when there's finally a discussion about failing hospital#systems we're never mentioned despite how bad the problem is here. y'know?

Do you ever look at the news and think to yourself: "Huh, the way they use the crimes a single person has commited to demonize an entire group and as justification to deny them human rights sure does remind me of the way they used to talk about people of color and gay people"
And do you just then go: "Nah, surely this time they are correct." ???
Also please use at least something remotely trustworthy like the Washington Post to dehumanize people.
Also Love Nikki literally has a trans girl character so wtf
I'M LITERALLY TRANS MYSELF💀 Guess your mindset makes me violent and that I'm denying myself human rights then? Always great to see "allies" telling people what they should think as if we're a monolith, not giving cult vibes at all
Almost like you're the one "demonizing" an entire group of people instead of seeing that things like this will happen when women's and girls', especially black women, safety isn't being upheld, which will hurt both cis women AND trans women as it 1) leads to vulnerable women (many black) not being safe from violence and 2) others trying to paint an entire demographic in a bad light 3) idiot messages from ppl like you lol
Also if you'd followed me you'd know I HC several SN characters as trans💀💀

I graduated high school in 99.
There was a student at our school named Wayne.
Wayne was gay. It was obvious. He was unable to stay in the closet even if he wanted to. To make matters worse, he was also Black. From a bullying standpoint, that was not a great combo. Both Black and white students made fun of him relentlessly. He was ostracized from the only community that may have given him protection. Only us theater kids stuck up for him, but not to significant effect.
Wayne was bullied so much that at one point he finally snapped and attacked his bullies with a lunch tray. I was actually seated in perfect line of sight and just sat there chewing my soggy fries in stunned silence. It didn't even seem real as I was witnessing it. The image of him wailing on his main bully as the food on his tray flew off is permanently logged into my long term memory.
The bully he attacked had blood all over his face and went straight to the nurse. Other than superficial cuts, he was not injured.
Before the attack, Wayne went to teachers for help. He went to guidance counselors for help. He went to the principals for help.
He did all of the things you were supposed to do. No one helped him. They wagged a finger at the bullies and warned them to stop.
Wayne's lunch tray melee was the only thing that worked. His bullies stayed far away from him. But a week later Wayne was expelled and the bullies were given no punishment.
So... no.
No one in my school talked about being trans.
Because the only way to survive being openly queer was to bash people with a lunch tray.

So like, if it's "if it's brown, lay down. if it's white, say goodnight," what do you do if you come across a Pizzly bear?
