To add on to my other post, it totally was Orym's call to tell Keyleth about Imogen and Liliana, especially because he immediately followed it up with "I vouch for her".

Imogen is walking around displaying the Ruidus born lighting marks, and has clothes that match her purple hair. She looks a lot like Liliana and she is not exactly trying to hide it.

Keyleth is Orym's leader and commanding officer, especially now that they are at war. He has a duty to tell her everything. It was also reasonable to expect that Keyleth already knew, so it was better to be upfront about it and dispel any doubts.

Would it have been nice if they'd discussed it before hand? Maybe. But Orym does not need Imogen's permission to tell his leader about her connection with the woman that trapped the Champion of Ravens and helped kill more than two dozen of their people, especially because he did it to make sure Keyleth knows that he trusts her.

Saw a post in the tag that's like "do you think the Half Life series is an allegory for the COVID-19 pandemic?" and putting aside that it can't really be an allegory for something that happened decades after it was released... I'd say the answer to that question is a very emphatic no.

The Half Life series is about how a horrible freak science accident happened and made everyone's lives considerably worse in a very short time, and then humanity spent 20 years working together to fix it. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven that when horrible freak science accidents happen in the real world and make everyone's lives considerably worse in a very short time, humanity will pretend to care for about 1.5 years and then gleefully, spitefully, cruelly throw everyone who survived the first wave to the wolves. People in the HL2 universe gave up their lives for the greater good. Most of y'all won't even wear a fucking mask to the grocery store.

we are constantly fucking forgotten or told to be grateful for "what we've been given".

I live in the US and we have a bare few fucking laws to protect us (disabled people). the rehab act and the ADA are the two that come to mind immediately, and the ADA is barely ever fucking enforced. I was recently refused entry at an urgent care center because I have a service dog. I filed a complaint with the DOJ, which is ALL YOU'RE FUCKING ALLOWED TO DO and I received, in writing;

"We won't be investigating this further".

And every other fucking sd handler I've spoken to in the past TWO YEARS has had the same shit happen; even when we have proof, even when we have video or audio or literal image proof of being discriminated against. even if we have it in WRITING. What happens if you call the police? Nothing. They run with the claim of "we don't enforce federal/civil law". Present them with state law that is equal to or more protective than the ADA? "well that's still a civil law" or an entire refusal to hear or see the law.

we don't even fucking have the right to marriage. We literally do not. Because some of us will lose our insurance and SSDI checks. Which means we will die.

It feels like the whole fucking system is set up to kill us.

I headcanon Kaisa as being just slightly hypotensive. I’m thinking normal blood pressure around 11/7. Most importantly, I headcanon that occasionally it may drop and she knows, but doesn’t do anything about it.

So sometimes she’ll be in the library, and will be on her feet for too long, or maybe it’ll be too hot and she hasn’t let go of her cape, or maybe she even has been so caught up in her job that she hasn’t eaten or drink water in three hours. And she’ll begin sweating, and ignore it. Then she’ll feel lightheaded, and think it’s fine. And then her eyesight will get hazy, and she’ll think ‘nah, I can take it’. Then her hearing will sizzle and her mind will spin and she’ll still do nothing. And if someone’s nearby they’ll begin noticing she’s pale and unresponsive, and that’s because she’s trying to not fall down and wondering why she’s seeing dark spots. But mostly, that probably happens when she’s alone, so when she refuses to sit down and drink water/eat/lie down, she’ll just faint for a bit (on the hardwood floor. Ouch.) and get back within a couple of seconds (and just go about her day like nothing happened)

Anyway the place I’m trying to get to is: imagine Kaisa is hanging out with the Hilda gang for some reason, and at some point they notice the blood draining from her face and her eyes going unfocused and then she just drops unconscious on the floor with no prior warning. Imagine the chaos. Imagine Hilda about to slap her and being held back by David while Frida tries to remember the cpr training they had in the Sparrow Scouts. Imagine Kaisa waking back up suddenly and scaring the living shit out of them

whenever people talk about how important it is for kids to have unrelated adult friends in order to learn what healthy intergenerational friendships look like, I think about the first online friend I ever made. I was a preteen, didn’t realize later he was almost 20 at the time. we met on a spyro the dragon forum in the 00′s. neither of us spoke english that well, but we didn’t let that stop us !!!!

to this day I’m not entirely sure why this young adult was spending hours and hours of his life online talking to some little goofball baby about spyro. we never talked about anything else, just our favorite spyro games, our favorite levels, what we hoped the next game would be like. was I a very cool baby? did he just like kids? was he practicing his english? was he just hype to talk to someone else who really liked spyro the dragon?

who knows! but he sure set the bar for Cool Adult Friend extremely high. wherever you are, intensely passionate and positive spyro guy from 2007, I hope you’re doing well. thank you for talking about spyro with me for an extremely long time at a time where I pronounced ‘awesome’ as ‘a-wah-soam’
