mindlessly scrolled through tiktok today and saw a rhaewin edit of harwin saving rhaenyra during her and laenor's wedding feast + harwin beating up criston (set to the 'i need a big boy' sound) anyway my thoughts immediately turned to jace's kingship and i went
"jace enters a room but the first thing ppl see is joffrey's shadow and the first thing they hear is the sound of aegon iii's armor"
basically joffrey most closely inherits harwin's sheer mass+height meanwhile aeggie grew up to be part of jace's kingsguard (also #justiceforjoffreyvelaryoncommanderofthecitywatch)

It was obvious in King’s Tide that Belos hadn’t even begun to think about how humans might have changed since the last time he was in the human realm, but I didn’t realize until thinking about it just now that that means he thought Luz was just like Caleb. Someone who (as Belos would interpret it) was taught that witchcraft was evil and to hate and fear witches, but was tempted into abandoning their human value system by the allure of magic.
There’s loads of stuff I would have wanted to see with the Hexsquad in the human realm if we had gotten a full season three, but I would also have loved to see an episode subplot exploring Belos’s reaction to modern Gravesfield. It would have to be really subtle because there’s a lot about his internal beliefs and reactions that a kid’s show shouldn’t or wouldn’t have been allowed to state explicitly, but I think there’s a good character arc that could be done within those limits. It definitely seemed like, as of the end of Thanks to Them, Belos still viewed Luz as more of a real person who is worth chatting with than Hunter and the other nonhuman kids, but he was no longer interested in trying to appeal to her or other humans.

I have not posted about my OC's here yet, but I'm really freaking proud of how this turned out. So here are my babies, from left to right:
Harris Smith, Julia Gonzales, Imogen Love Davies, and L.L.O.Y.D. the android!
Maybe some day in the near future I'll post more about them... but you can find more about them either on my instagram or on my ArtFight page!
I AM GONNA GEEK OUT OVER MY OWN ART FOR A SEC --
1. THE MIRROR ACTUALLY HAS THE REVERSE REFLECTION OF THE SCENE IN IT
2. IMOGEN LOVE GAVE LLOYD A MATCHING SWEATER THAT SHE MADE FOR HIM
3. LLOYD IS THE ONLY ONE IN SHORTS BECAUSE HE PHYSICALLY CANNOT FEEL TEMPERATURE AND IT IS FREEZING IN NEW YORK DURING DECEMBER
4. IMOGEN LOVE IS THE ONLY ONE IN AN ACTUAL OUTFIT BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T LIVE AT THE SMITH'S AND SHE HAD TO WALK OVER THERE
5. LLOYD, JULIA, AND HARRIS CANONICALLY LIVE IN WHAT WOULD BECOME MY GRANDPARENTS' HOUSE DURING THE 90'S SO I DREW THEIR LIVING ROOM FROM MEMORY AND THEIR SIDE YARD THROUGH THE WINDOW

I will not compromise my beliefs even if it's uncomfortable.
Even if I am totally alone.
I've been alone before. I survived.
Supporting what i believe in is more important EVEN than my comfort.

I feel like there's a post rattling around in my brain somewhere about the proliferation of the legal term "minor" versus the more neutral kid or child and the implications that has for intergenerational friendships and interactions that are not filtered through authority figures like teachers or parents, and how it speaks to the artificial barrier we've created between like, a week before and a week after you turn eighteen (and how that's culturally linked to the disgusting 2000s-early 2010s "countdown til Natalie Portman is legal!!!" kind of stuff) as well as the simultaneous de-emphasising of agency for young people and over-emphasis of a notion of like, criminal liability somehow, when you're speaking to a child, and how that plays into the dynamics of parental control that abusive parents rely on, but I have no idea how I would coalesce it into like, a Thing (as emphasised by this huge run on sentence).
