|Protective Starters

“Got you!” Whis yelled as was at Shin’s side in a near instants, warm throw around the Kia’s body as he drew them in close to himself. Getting to them before the incoming attack could. A firm tight hold around them, a good think Shin was so small it made it easy for Whis to turn himself into a shield for them. In a flash they were moving out of the area. Whis didn’t have a location in mind he just knew he had to get Shin out of there. Sure he may be over reacting but..no Shin’s safety and well being was not something to take lightly. Once feeling they were far away enough and safe from Shin’s pursuer. Whis dropped to the ground with Shin still held in close against him. Opening his eyes to find themself, on Beerus home. Made sense to Whis that this is where he went on instinct. He was grateful for the fact he was one of the fastest beings of the universe. Not that fast it may seem. Once he had a second to gather his bearing’s he looked down to the Supreme Kai.

“Forgive my haste back there but I needed to move and my body went on it’s own before I could consider anything else. You know me I move before I think after all.” he offers them a slight laugh, as he was slow to let go of them. He may move faster than a thought crossed his mind. But that wasn’t always true in that moment his one thought was Shin. well Shin was often on his thought’s so it could be better to phase they were his only thought. Moving to sit on his knees as he went about looking the Kai over. His expression was set and fixed as he was being a bit to open with touching them. Soon he smiles again “Good seems I can still hold my title as one of the fastest wouldn’t you agree?”  Looking over his shoulder now just in case they were followed when he noticed a tear in the fabric. Slightly annoyed by what that meant. In his panic he didn’t even notice. Looking over his shoulder he could just make out where the fabric was cut, letting him see the wound that landed on his shoulder. It was merely a scarp at best most the pain from the impact his anything. He did still pout over the fact. “my robes got all ruined. Oh Lord Beerus would scoff over my slowness if he saw this.” the angel huffs over as he looks his shoulder over.

“You were hurt- saving me.” 

Whis hums a little looking back to them, “I rather get harmed over seeing a small scratch on you though.” smile returning to his face, as he takes hold of one of their hands gently lifting it as he lowers his lips to kiss the back of their knuckles. “after all it would hurt me more than any physical injury to see any harm come your way or even worse.” He tells them before offering a small peck to the back of there hand, he hold it for just a few seconds.Lingering taking in the fact they were fine, so he could ease and relax over that matter for now instead.

He pauses a moment to think that over showing where his heart in the matter laid “Of course, if you died that would impact Lord Beerus and I would left unable to function till replacements were made wouldn’t I also? So I guess I had another reason for my actions.” he offer a slight giggle to that thought before he moves to stand. “but that tired old grumpuss would be very annoyed to hear something near did the two of you in. He’ll be upset but I think we need to wake him up.” Still holding their hand in his own, clearly stating they would not be allowed out of his sight right now. Not when they were in the risk of getting attacked right now. “I’m sure he’ll be more cooperative if I make mention of what happened, but we’ll see his mood is always so hard to predict after first waking up, honestly.” he complains a little Shin’s way.

ACTIONS:

[ HAND ]: sender, having seen the receiver's encounter with the threat, gently takes the receiver's hand to assure them they aren't alone.

[ INTERVENE ]: sender wordlessly steps in between the receiver and the threat, facing the threat while shielding the receiver from them.

[ BLOCK ]: sender steps in between the receiver and the threat, this time facing the receiver while turning their back to the threat and blocking them from the receiver's line of sight.

[ BACK ]: sender places a protective and gentle hand on the receiver's back, preparing to guide them away from the threat.

[ DOOR ]: sender firmly but politely insists that the threat leave the building, and escorts them out of the door.

[ EXIT ]: sender physically catches hold of the threat and drags them away from the receiver, and outside of the building.

[ PUSH ]: sender places a careful hand on the threat to keep them at arm's length, and steps forward again to give the receiver more space between them and the threat.

[ SHOVE ]: sender runs over and forcefully shoves the threat back and away from the receiver.

[ SPACE ]: sender pushes between the receiver and the threat and begins to move forward, invading the threat's personal space as both a means of intimidation and a way of getting them away from the receiver.

[ DIVERT ]: sender arrives behind the threat and gains their attention, distracting them from the receiver so as to give them time to leave the area.

[ CLEAR ]: the sender firmly and clearly tells the threat that they are no longer allowed in the premises nor anywhere near the receiver.

[ ARM ]: sender wraps a protective arm around the receiver and guides them away from the threat and out of the premises.

[ PUNCH ]: the sender, having seen the receiver's reaction to the threat and the threat's lack of consideration, moves forward and punches the threat in the face.

Ok, so can we talk about Punz for a second? Because like when I rewatched that stream the other day, not only did I notice that is was Punz who avenged Dream by killing Tommy and returning all of his stuff, after Sapnap and Tommy had ambushed Dream and refused to return it [details] (making him truly the mvp, who really doesn’t get enough credit). But I also noticed some other fun things.

[Big Mama @ Raph - Big Mama’s Boy AU]  “I get it, you’re brave. But, don’t do that, again.”

At best Raph's job was just him needing to step in to give a scare it tended to do the trick on its own for the giant, bulked-out, six-foot turtle. Yeah the mere sight of him alone was enough to get people to step down and fall back in line if they dared to go against his mom. You had to be dumb to even think you stood a chance in the first place with that. Big Mama to Raph may be the most amazing person in the world, his hero because she was the one who found him and took him in. Gave him home, she was his family. When he fell and scraped his knees she picked him back up, wiped his tears, and bandaged them up. She gave him everything he could ever wish for and things he never asked for. A room that was full of toys that he could play with all day. She took time out for him despite being the busiest Yokai in all of the Hidden City. From the Battle Nexus to her hotel or the trains even and well everything! She was his mom, she was the most powerful yokai in the hidden city. Heck, all the other yokai were scared of her. But a few thought they could be sly so it became his job to handle them. But sometimes giving just a mean mug wasn't enough. Sometimes Raph had to fully step in.

Her bellhops normally were very loyal to her and followed her every word. But she had to get after one of them they hadn't been falling in line exactly as of late and cause trouble so as the boss of course his mom needed to take action and correct the guy. Raph tagged along just in case and he's glad he did. The bellhop even when Big mama stared down at him surrounded by all the others. They all knew he made a mistake a very dumb one. But she was willing to not cause any harm his way just remind them of her influence and power. The Yokai sat on the floor trembling in fear the whole time. But, it was an act of thinking that Big mama was somehow weak when in her human guise. They pulled out a knife they had on them and lunged at her. Raph may be big but he was fast as he rushed in handheld out letting the knife sink into his skin it did take a lot thanks to how thick it was. But he still did flinch, the room fell silent. As Raph pulled back his arm holding a moment as the pain seem to ring out throughout his arm. Gritting his teeth trying to take in the pain before narrowing his gaze at the bellhop. That Knife was meant for his mother! They would have.. his breaths started to become staggered trying to take in slow controlled breaths of air.

But soon a red aura formed around his hand that didn't have a knife stuck in it, eyes near glowing with the same color as he locked his gaze on them. "You just made a big mistake!" Was all Rapheal yelled out before he swung landing a hit squarely into their face, throwing his whole weight in against his punch. Even with the aura, he could feel it connect with their face. Sending them flying across the room, as Raph stood their aura slowly disappeared so he could grab back onto his injured hand, as he yanked the knife out not letting it drop to the ground. Looking down he could see blood seeping out from the cut but he was pretty sure it would be fine? setting his other hand over it to keep pressure on it just in case. Before he looked over his shoulder at his mother. "Sorry Ma' I know you can handle yourself but I couldn't risk you getting hurt by him." he offers a slightly pained smile her way. but she doesn't seem to buy into it. Worry and concern are quick to replace her usually grin.

“I get it, you’re brave. But, don’t do that, again.”

Raph just looked at her blankly for a moment before turning around to her, out of instinct showing her the wound on his hand so she could look him over. "What'a mean don't do it again Ma? that guy was lookin' ta hurt you! So Raphael did what he does best!" He not yelling just raising his voice a bit to get his mother to understand. She protected him his whole life now that he could do the same? What did she just expect him not to? "You look out for me I look out for that how it is Ma you taught me that. Besides if he had hurt you then what would do?" his voice crack a little at the mere thought, Raph didn't have anyone else but his mother after all. "So no I will do it again it's my job to make sure no one messes with ya!" He states letting his lower beak hang a bit before dropping his head feeling like he yelled at her just now. "I'm not sorry. I'll do everything to protect you ma'."

just remembered a wip i had which was jay at uni meeting normal people and desperately trying to act cool and normal whilst internally screaming about being in a whole new place with all new people and not having his gang with him

#i only wrote one scene where jay meets one of his flatmates #and he’s trying to make casual normal conversation & asks her who her parents are #bc that has always mattered! on the isle or at auradon prep your parentage was also a Conversation Starter #and the girl is just like ……what. why do you want to know that #but she tells him and jay makes it into a joke like hehe oh yes i met them at a soirée once. amazing company #and the girl is like ok who are YOUR parents. knowing full well who he is #and jay says that his dad fosters puppies. and the girl says that sounds like a good life and he’s like ohhh just the BEST #i really. love exploring jay at uni i’ve written a couple of things i’ve never finished #like!!! for the first time for years he’s well and truly all alone!!!! #and at least the isle & ap had similarities. uni is just full of very normal people who don’t particularly give a shit #and jay who is like THE guy who cares about everything so much all the time and how people are reacting to him and he’s desperately trying+ #to be so cool and unbothered whilst trying not to revert to his isle tactics regarding people who may be threats #just. being somewhere so so new. with no one he knows. everyone else is so far away. and jay is missing his gang like he’d miss+ #his body parts. and it’s like. jays always buried his own emotions & hurt so he can better protect his gang #and now he has no gang to protect #and he is just laid absolutely bare. and also constantly stressing about not being there for the others #i just think he’d have an absolutely awful start to uni <3 #descendants #jay son of jafar

There are tears welling in his eyes and he doesn't want Izzy to see them, doesn't want to distress his already overtaxed system even more, so he takes an extra moment to wring the cloth over the bowl while blinking rapidly to get rid of the tears.

And yet, a sob weasels its way into his words as he adds, almost an afterthought ( that sounds far more bitter than it has any right to be ):
