I want to share something meaningful with you all. Tumblr has been more than just a website for me—it's been a sanctuary, a place where I found solace amidst the turmoil. In those days, I'd lose myself in tattoo pictures, punk designs, and gothic aesthetics. It was my escape, especially during the darkest times when I was enduring abuse at home as a child.

Now, a decade later, I've come a long way. Despite the hardships, I've found my passion in tattooing. It's been a journey marked by struggles, but also by the support of my amazing girlfriend—who embodies the beauty and strength of the gothic Tumblr girls I admired back then.

I want to reach out to the world and to my younger self, the sixteen-year-old who made promises to herself amidst the chaos. I want her to know that I'm fulfilling those promises now. And as I find myself back on Tumblr, I want to showcase my work to the world and to that younger version of me, to make her proud of who I've become.

Reflecting on this year, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and pride. This year has been a tapestry of remarkable experiences, pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone and reshaping my life in profound ways.

My journey through the United States for three months was nothing short of transformative. It wasn’t just about exploring new landscapes or savoring diverse cultures; it was a voyage that sculpted my perspective and opened my eyes to the vastness of the world.

Returning home to Italy marked the beginning of a new chapter—a life change that I embraced wholeheartedly. Amidst the familiar streets and beloved traditions, I found the courage to challenge myself, breaking free from the confines of routine and embracing change with open arms.

Amidst this whirlwind, I’ve achieved milestones that once seemed distant. From personal growth to professional accomplishments, each success stands as a testament to my resilience and unwavering dedication.

This year has been a mosaic of lessons, teaching me the beauty of embracing change and the richness of new experiences. It’s a celebration of resilience, adaptability, and the sheer joy of conquering challenges.

Not one or two, but THREE YEARS clean and serene. The last three years I have made the conscious decision not to pick up a drink or a drug and I am beyond proud of myself for making it this far. Staying sober has not been an easy challenge, but like everyone says "it works if you work it" and I "keep coming back" because I want to reach many more milestones. This past year, alone, I have endured many obstacles to get rid of all my legal issues and am happy to say I get to start back off with a clean slate. Also, I have been working with the same company (Evolutions Treatment Center) since March of 2022 and have had the pleasure of helping many other drug addicts and alcoholics along the way. I have gone through stages with my younger self. For the longest time, even recently, I’d look back and feel ashamed of her. I wish she had handled things differently. I wish she’d had more of a backbone. I wish she could have seen her worth. I just wish she had different, but now I know that she did the best she could and she is the reason I am here now. So, thank you, younger me. I wouldn’t have made it without you. I wouldn’t have learned all that I’ve learned had you done anything differently. They said we had to climb 675 steps on The Peñol rock in high altitude and also walk a mile on incline and more steps to get a drink at end. But it was totally worth it and it made me proud of me.
