You know what’s better? The ever so underrated Taskline Managers. They need drops so badly. Draw Winston and William for me please?
THEY REALLY DO... I actually drew some hypothetical sticker designs for them a few months ago

Cataloging at this job is so much fun for me. It's also a chance to flex because I get to show off my ability to identify specific steam locomotives down to their class and number.
The collection I'm working with is great because the railfans whose photos these were labeled every locomotive and car they had the information for, and from that, I can extrapolate the class and Whyte notation. It's such good enrichment for me.
I have also developed a fondness for the PRR/LIRR's G5s via this project. They're lovely beasts. There are three survivors of the class, one PRR one and two LIRR ones (the latter two of which are both prominently featured in this collection). The PRR one is at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, and to give you an idea of how big these things were:
I'm 5'2".

Penn Central ex PRR GG-1 motor 4877 leads a westbound passenger train on a platform track past tower SS71, and through Housatonic Junction at Devon, Connecticut, 1969. This train will shortly cross the Housatonic River Railroad Bridge. Highway I-95 is the elevated road on the ride side of the photo. The turnout to the left heads to Waterbury and beyond, plus it also connects with the Maybrook Line.
