‘When you materialized before me in the study," Sephiroth spoke coldly, "you were in such a weakened state. You were like a small bird, broken but beautiful, and Mother, Bianca, made you whole. Embrace us.”
In the ethereal tapestry of two enchanting worlds, a figure emerges, woven from the threads of celestial grace and dark mystique. Meet Bianca Moore, a mesmerizing figure that blends the realms of Final Fantasy 7 and Inuyasha, bringing together love and devotion that transcends time and space.
From the moment her essence was touched by the infusion of Jenova's cells, a transformation occurred, bestowing upon her an ethereal allure that entrances all who cross her path. With each step, her captivating presence casts an enchanting spell, drawing those who encounter her into her world of allure and mystery.
Personality Portrait: Bianca's heart pulses with the fervor of an unyielding devotion, a devotion that has melded her identity into a fierce spirit of independence. Guided by her loyalty, she stands as a beacon of courage amid life's tempestuous seas. Her charisma is magnetic.
Yet, within her charismatic exterior lies a complex dichotomy. Bianca's love for Sephiroth, once a strength, now teeters on the edge of obsession. This love, though powerful, blinds her to the potential consequences of her actions, leading her into impulsive decisions that veer her away from the path of reason. Her tunnel vision may leave her naive and reckless.
Likes & Dislikes: In the embrace of the night sky, Bianca finds solace, her affinity for the heavens mirrored in her fascination with powerful artifacts and ancient knowledge. Dark aesthetics and symbolism captivate her, as she delves into the mysteries of life and destiny. The enigmatic allure of music and poetry resonates with her soul, echoing her own intricate complexities.
Hobbies & Quirks: Stargazing, her eyes tracing constellations, beckons her to dream beyond boundaries. Ancient texts offer portals to forgotten wisdom, and exploring abandoned places is a testament to her bold spirit. The glow of Mako reactors and the pursuit of the Promised Land intertwine with her quest for purpose.
An aura of luminescence adorns her, a testament to her unique essence. Black feathers, a symbol of her devotion and both her and Sephorith’s fallen states, are cherished as if they were precious relics. Her loyalty stands as a testament to her undying commitment.

🕊 History: A Tale of Light and Shadow
Rift Through Dimensions: Born of tragedy, Bianca's existence bears the weight of celestial and demonic lineage. Conceived by the Fallen Angel Ragnar and archangel Seraphine, she was destined to become the 'Harbinger of Darkness'—a Nephilim with the power to assault the heavens. Sent forward in time by Seraphine to protect her from Ragnar's sinister intent, Bianca grew up oblivious to her extraordinary heritage.
Encounter with Sesshomaru: Her path took an unforeseen turn upon an encounter with Sesshomaru, a mysterious future demon lord. Through enigmatic ties, their fates were woven together, hinting at a deeper connection yet to unfold.
Arrival at Hojo’s Lab: Destiny beckoned in the form of Hojo's lab within the Shinra Mansion. Here, she formed an inexplicable bond with a troubled soul—Sephiroth. Offering companionship and solace, Bianca's presence became a beacon of light during his descent into darkness. Their connection deepened, blurring the boundaries between love and the shadows.
Nibelheim Incident: The flames of Nibelheim bore witness to Bianca's inner turmoil. As Sephiroth's descent into darkness unfolded, she grappled with her unwavering love for him and the rational doubts about his actions. The fiery destruction of the town and Sephiroth's pursuit of Jenova's remains left her torn between loyalty and reason. Witnessing his plunge into the lifestream, she was held back from following by Zack and Cloud's intervention
Hojo’s Experiments & Sephiroth’s Lure: Bianca's resilience was tested as she became a subject of Hojo's experiments, melding celestial and demonic essence with Jenova's cells. This transformation altered not only her appearance but also her powers, accompanied by haunting dreams of Sephiroth. Despite the growing darkness and influence, her connection with him only deepened.
Escape From Hojo’s Lab: The walls of captivity could not contain her indomitable spirit. Defying SOLDIERs, she fought her way to freedom. Fueled by her bond with Sephiroth, the line between light and darkness blurred as she proclaimed her unwavering connection to him.
Encounter with Sephiroth Clone 12: Bianca escapes Shinra's lab, her fusion of celestial and demonic granting grace against captivity. Meeting the 12th Sephiroth clone outside the manor grounds, suspense fills the air. He offers her his hand and she takes it. Infused with Jenova's essence, Bianca's touch sparks a connection. The clone, guided by Sephiroth's unseen presence, offers to accompany her to North Crater, destinies converging.
Reunion between Bianca and Sephiroth: Amidst the transformative rebirth of Sephiroth in the North Cave, Bianca stood guard. Their bond, transcending time and space, remained unbreakable. Her essence merged with shadows, evolving into a being of light and darkness, forever bound to him.
Reawakened: In an extraordinary twist, Sephiroth entreated Bianca to become his wife, sealing their destinies. Faced with a life-altering decision, Bianca's trust and determination led her to accept, defying the boundaries of reality. A connection that defied the very fabric of their world was forged, setting the stage for a destiny that would shape both their lives and the world around them.

Challenging the Notion | Nobody is Born In The Wrong Body | Woke Up
Gender dysphoria is a term used in psychology and psychiatry to describe the distress that some individuals may experience due to a misalignment between their gender identity and their assigned sex at birth. It is important to note that not all transgender individuals experience gender dysphoria, and the severity of dysphoria can vary widely from person to person.

Superboy wakes up in a prison. In the cell, sitting across from him, there's a teen that looks like another offshoot clone of Clark.
He learns in bits and pieces that he's been captures by a shadow government organization hellbent on ridding the world of anyone "ecto-contaminated", or anyone who has ever been dead.
Since he'd died before, even though he came back, he set off their sensors.
He doesn't remember how he got caught, doesn't remember what he was doing prior, but the walls are made of a weird material that glows green and cancels out his powers. It also doesn't hurt him.
Diluted kryptonite? He'll have to steal some and give it to Tim.
According to the kid, they've been forcibly detained to "serve their sentence for illegal immigration from the Realm of the Dead to the Realm of the Living" by way of routinely allowing themselves to be subjected to medical procedures. They are always being watched, they aren't the only ones captive, that apparently his entire high school had been condemned to it as well as some literal ghosts, and if he struggles then they won't give him the mercy of sedation while they do their experiments.
And Kon can't use his power to escape, or free this kid, or free any of the other prisoners. It's the worst case scenario.
Thank fuck he's best friends with a paranoid Bat that might have more contingencies than the Big Bat Himself.
Kon activates the only subdermal tracker he'd allowed Tim to place under his skin, and settles down to wait.
Tumblr media
A prison of this design, but more high tech and with less privacy. Apparently the idea behind it was that you couldn't see the guards, but they could see you, and the lights would move at random to make you think they were paying attention all the time.
So psychological torture on top of imprisonment.

Here is a secret: Pure Vanilla Cookie had felt like he was being watched for a long, long time.
He can't quite pinpoint when exactly that started, if it was before or after he earned his Soul Jam. He thinks it must have been after, because he thinks he wrote it off as the Light of Truth's presence, but the specifics don't really matter. Either way, the feeling of eyes on him had been so constant that it faded into normalcy, and he hadn't noticed it since.
Until now.
Now, with Shadow Milk Cookie breaching the seal, and crumbling Elder Faerie Cookie, and White Lily Cookie becoming the new Guardian of the Seal, and White Lily Cookie being really and truly back in the first place and– and—
The point is that Pure Vanilla is quickly realising that a lot of his prior assumptions don't hold weight anymore. A lot of things he had believed to be unshakeable truths turned out to be wrong or, even worse... well, lies.
And these realisations aren't all bad, truly. Some are sweet with relief and the familiar scent of lilies. But his feelings on the matter aren't helped by the fact that suddenly, for the first time in years, he can feel those eyes on him again in piercing clarity, burning with a malice he had failed to notice all this time.
Pure Vanilla does his best to leave them be, focusing on the unmistakeable warmth of White Lily at his side, and the determined hearts of the children, and everything that needs to be done. It is uncomfortable, but it is manageable.
Delivering word to Crispia about the situation is no quick business, let alone waiting for word to return back. As such, they are staying in Faeriewood for the foreseeable future, waiting on a response from the Republic or the other Heroes. The Faerie Cookies are lovely and more than welcome to the notion, though that is hardly a surprise with how beloved White Lily is to them, and rightly so.
Pure Vanilla Cookie, to his credit, does his best to relax as they wait, but it is increasingly difficult as time wears on. He cannot bear to go anywhere near the Silver Tree, because the weight of that gaze increases by a tenfold whenever he is anywhere near its vicinity, almost crushing him, as if urging him to- well, it makes navigating the Faerie Kingdom difficult, if he cannot get too close to its centre.
Pure Vanilla sighs from where he is settled gingerly down among the soft pastels of the flowers, nestled carefully beneath the shade of the bending canopy of less dangerous trees. From here, he can see White Lily's radiant figure across the bridges and walkways, roped up in conversation with the Silver Tree Knights and surely discussing her new title and all that may entail. Whatever the case, he is content to have her within his sight, soothing some age-old nerves.
He busies his hands with a flower crown, the repetitive motions helping to distract from the twisting trunks of the trees lingering in the corner of his vision, their silvery bark marred with dozens of squinting eyes, black as shadows with vibrant blue—
No, no, no – but it's too late, Pure Vanilla's hands stumbling on his work and crushing a flower in his clumsiness. Regret instantly soaks into his core, and he hurriedly releases the poor bud, only feeling worse when he sees that some of its nectar and colour has stained his hands. Such delicate beauty, destroyed by his own foolishness. He certainly can't give this crown to White Lily now.
Bitterly unwanted, the thought that Shadow Milk must be laughing at him now flits across his mind, and he drops the flower crown like its petals are dripping poison, lest he ruin it any further.
In the end, no matter how much he pushes it aside, his thoughts always swing back to the same dreadful realisation. If Shadow Milk has been watching him all along - and deep down, Pure Vanilla knows it to be true, even though he hates it - then he must have seen everything. Every moment he was vulnerable, every moment he was hiding, every moment he thought was private.
It's terrifying. His mind keeps reeling at the mere idea, flicking through his lowest moments with the aching, sickening knowledge that he had seen it all. It feels unfathomably invasive, almost as much as Shadow Milk's voice burrowing into his head like it belongs there. Nothing Pure Vanilla has experienced has been solely his own, and it seems like it never was.
Pure Vanilla is saved from his own sinking thoughts by the gentle warble of birdsong, and grateful for the distraction, he looks up to find a small bird descending from the canopy. Admittedly, it is different from the blue birds he is used to, looking to be a spore variant of some sort, but he smiles at it just as cheerfully.
"Hello, chickadee. How are you today?" He greets affectionately, voice warming as he holds out a hand for the spore bird to land on. It does with a chirped greeting back, and for the briefest, most blissful moment, Pure Vanilla feels light with the simplest happiness.
And then the bird looks up at him, with not two, or four, but countless eyes opening across its entire body, inky black and mockingly blue.
Pure Vanilla startles fiercely, jolting back and shutting his eyes tightly on instinct, and the movement is more than enough to scare the bird away, but he is too occupied with fumbling for his staff in the grass beside him to pay it any mind.
Finally, his fingers find purchase, and he hastily lifts the staff upright, half-leaning against it as he looks through its eye. The pupil darts around until it lands on the bird once more, where it has fled back to a perch among the branches.
It looks normal, or as normal as a spore variant can be. It certainly doesn't have a hundred knowing eyes.
The trees don't have eyes either, for that matter.
Pure Vanilla presses his forehead against his staff, desperately tempted to keep his eyes closed forever, to rely solely on his staff so he doesn't have to risk seeing anything unreal. It's a dangerous, guilty thought, but it persists even when he gathers the strength to crack his own eyes open once more.
He blinks once, twice, hesitantly looking around.
There are no eyes. Just a spooked spore bird in the canopy, a half-crushed flower crown hanging off his lap, and White Lily in the distance, now joined by an energetic Gingerbrave and his friends.
Pure Vanilla watches for a moment, waiting. When everything remains as it is, he sighs again, heavily, wearily, and sinks back into the bed of flowers, holding his staff to his chest in a loose grip, even as he lays down.
He thinks he hears a mean giggle chime faintly in his ears, but what does he know? That's probably a lie too.

Abstract
In this article, we examine psychological features of extreme political ideologies. In what ways are political left- and right-wing extremists similar to one another and different from moderates? We propose and review four interrelated propositions that explain adherence to extreme political ideologies from a psychological perspective. We argue that (a) psychological distress stimulates adopting an extreme ideological outlook; (b) extreme ideologies are characterized by a relatively simplistic, black-and-white perception of the social world; (c) because of such mental simplicity, political extremists are overconfident in their judgments; and (d) political extremists are less tolerant of different groups and opinions than political moderates. In closing, we discuss how these psychological features of political extremists increase the likelihood of conflict among groups in society.
In a polarizing political climate, citizens frequently experience a clash of values when debating pressing societal issues. A central question in political psychology has been how the general ideologies that represent these values drive human cognition, emotion, and behavior. Notably, the rigidity-of-the-right model stipulates that the political left and right differ in their cognitive styles, as reflected in increased closed-mindedness among individuals on the right (Jost, 2017). In recent years, however, researchers have increasingly recognized that not only political orientation but also political extremism meaningfully predict people’s responses to societal and political events. We define political extremism as the extent to which regular citizens are polarized into, and strongly identify with, generic left- or right-wing ideological outlooks on society. In this article, we examine psychological features of extreme political ideologies. In what ways are political left- and right-wing extremists actually quite similar to one another and different from moderates?
The basic idea that left- and right-wing extremists share a range of psychological similarities is consistent with theories of extremism and radicalization (e.g., Kruglanski et al., 2014; see also Greenberg & Jonas, 2003; Hoffer, 1951). The goal of this article is to examine the psychology of extreme political ideologies by integrating these prior theoretical insights with recent findings. We specifically propose four interrelated psychological features that characterize political extremism. Moreover, although we do not dispute that political orientation predicts important psychological variables (e.g., acceptance of inequality), we illuminate how some psychological features that were historically attributed to the political right might more accurately be attributed to both political extremes.
Political Extremism: Four Psychological Features
Although we do not claim that the propositions reviewed here represent the only psychological features of political extremism, they are well supported by empirical evidence, have been frequently studied by psychologists, and jointly contribute to a parsimonious understanding of this phenomenon. We specifically examine the relationships between political extremism and (a) psychological distress, (b) cognitive simplicity, (c) overconfidence, and (d) intolerance.
[..]
Discussion
The four psychological features discussed here suggest that political extremism is fueled by feelings of distress and is reflected in cognitive simplicity, overconfidence, and intolerance. These insights are important to understanding how political polarization increases political instability and the likelihood of conflict between groups in society. Excessive confidence in the moral superiority of one’s own ideological beliefs impedes meaningful interaction and cooperation with different ideological groups and structures political decision making as a zero-sum game with winners and losers. Strong moral convictions consistently decrease people’s ability to compromise and even increase a willingness to use violence to reach ideological goals (Skitka, 2010). These processes are exacerbated by people’s tendency to selectively expose themselves to people and ideas that validate their own convictions. For instance, both information and misinformation selectively spread in online echo chambers of like-minded people (Del Vicario et al., 2016).
This article extends current insights in at least three ways. First, the features proposed here help to explain why throughout the past century not only extreme-right but also extreme-left movements (e.g., socialism, communism) have thrived in times of crisis (Midlarsky, 2011). Second, understanding the mind-set of extremists in all corners of the political spectrum is important in times of polarization and populist rhetoric. The current propositions provide insights into why traditionally moderate parties in the EU have suffered substantial electoral losses. In particular, the support for well-established parties on the moderate left (e.g., social democrats) and moderate right (e.g., Christian democrats) has dropped in recent years, whereas the support for left- and right-wing populist parties has increased (Krouwel, 2012). Third, the present arguments are based on evidence from multiple countries with different political systems (van Prooijen & Krouwel, 2017), which suggests that they apply to both two-party systems (e.g., the United States) and multiparty systems (e.g., many European countries).
[..]
To conclude, although there are important psychological differences between people with left-wing and people with right-wing ideologies, there are also substantial similarities between left- and right-wing extremists that differentiate them from political moderates. The features presented here provide a psychological perspective on political extremism and contribute to a more complete understanding of how political ideology predicts human cognition, emotion, and behavior.

the fandom: yes this is a person who's totally completely in his right state of mind and in peak physical condition, therefore i will assume everything bad he does is his own complete fault and he must take full responsibility, even if in universe it's acknowledged that the person he hurt understands that he was extremely ill and not only forgives him but also avenges him in the most scorched earth way ever seen in fiction

Ah yeah. There was that excellent Twitter chain when the show screened from a practising psychologist talking about how bad the therapy was. /
i mean... there were also veterans, real veterans, who spoke about how that was the "therapy" assigned from the uS government so it wasn't so inaccurately. it I'd wrong but yeah they said that's exactly what they get which sucks... there was this woman specifically, a Black woman, she does tiktoks and so and she did a long video on YouTube talking specifically about that scene and how much it sucks that the real actual government gives them that...
I’ve seen that video. It was a great video with a lot of insight into veteran experiences. I don’t remember what she said about therapy specifically but she spoke a lot about how hard it was to get the system to recognise her trauma or for her abusers to have any form of retribution.
From memory though, most of the vets were commenting on the first therapy scene. The psychologist I referenced was also talking about that scene. It was a great scene of bad therapy, not because it’s unrealistic, but because sadly it isn’t. That said, it doesn’t affect the headcanon that the therapy program was just to keep an eye on Bucky. Vets who had poor experiences with the VA say they feel it was aimed at getting them back into duty without actually addressing their trauma. A lot of people (myself included) liked the first therapy scene when it screened, because we saw bad therapy for a traumatised POW and thought the story was going somewhere with it, but....uh, nope. (** This post is already getting too long but good storytelling isn't about realism, it's about creating meaning)
I haven’t seen many comments from vets (apart from one commenter on the other post, thank you 😊) specifically talking about the couples therapy scene. And I was talking about the couples therapy scene specifically as being so poorly done (and in context of the poorly researched writing elsewhere in that series) it's unrealistic.
Firstly, massive faux pas in Raynor disclosing Bucky’s treatment to JOHN F(ucking) WALKER. That’s a HIPAA violation right there and while Bucky might not know anything about it, Sam could report her ass right there and then. Also Walker somehow…can dictate the treatment program? (Although I wouldn’t put it past the military) But he’s not even Bucky’s superior officer? Bucky's not even in the military? Raynor said in the first therapy session that “you’re a civilian now” so how does Walker get a say?
Raynor then discloses treatment details to Sam - although I’ll let this one go because Bucky might have consented to that. She then insists Sam join Bucky for the session, which…can happen but neither Sam nor Bucky wanted it, and why would you want to spring a group session on not ONE difficult patient but two?
When Sam sat down, he had to ask her name, which means they’ve never met before. He tries to tell her it’s a really bad time, and it’s clear from his tone and body language that he’s not wanting to engage. She not only does nothing to address that, she doesn’t even do the basic courtesy of taking a history from Sam before launching into her confrontational “treatment”. Look, maybe psychologists are built different but a clinician starting treatment without even knowing the background? If we’re going to treat psychology as real therapy and not voodoo science, then like all physical treatments, it comes with risks. How TF do you assess that risk if you haven’t even talked to the patient??
So she then subjects Sam and Bucky to “couples therapy” which unsurprisingly triggers both of them because she hasn't assessed her patient. Sure, prolonged eye-contact between real couples is meant to increase intimacy and empathy. But you know what other situation people use prolonged eye contact? When the fight response is engaged and it’s a warning for imminent aggression.
So, good work fake therapist for doing the human equivalent of making two angry bulls lock horns then patting herself on the back on creating intimacy. “Look they are touching their foreheads together how cute” no the fuck not they are about to gore each other in the eye.
Luckily for her Sam and Bucky had enough wits about them to not actually hit each other, but they did the verbal equivalent of the same, and both of them left that therapy session more angry and hurt than they were when they started.
TL;DR - the second therapy session was a load of BS because
HIPAA violation upfront and throughout
Walker for no reason dictating Bucky's treatment
Raynor dragging Sam into therapy without having ever met him before
Raynor subjecting Sam to therapy without assessing him
Eye contact used erroneously in a situation that is likely to increase aggression
These are not just bad therapy, it's bad writing from someone who doesn't know how therapy works.

thinking about all the stuff in the hephaestus's storage, like, eiffel is understandably freaked out by his horror movie moment of opening a box of eyeless russian dolls. but next to a box of hundreds of red L-shaped lego blocks, what are the chances that some of the stuff up there is just... standard manufacturing errors and unsold goods from goddard-associated / contracted companies. like eiffel isn't wrong to think it's storage space for goddard futuristics, but it's less... vault of hand-picked mysterious artifacts, and more. atari ET burial site?
even with the more... genuinely bizarre stuff up there - shrunken heads, skull fragment of megafauna specimen, a functional cannon. for some reason. - like, i assume goddard has accumulated a lot of weird stuff, and the stuff cutter actually cares about. is probably somewhere a lot more accessible and secure than the hephaestus. one of the most remote outposts. undermaintained. falling apart. still full of remnants of its previous crew. especially keeping in mind that this mission was meant to be hilbert's final chance, and minkowski's crew was reported dead, and fourier's diaries were still in the storeroom, so it's not implausible that hui's letters to his family were buried there as well... there's something about the thought of the hephaestus as a last stop, a sort of dumping ground for all of the things and all of the people that goddard considers disposable - not even targets of active termination, just... out of sight, out of mind. and for a place like that, and a crew like that, to be both the one to finally, actually accomplish what they were sent out there to do, and to bring about cutter's downfall. there is really something.
