Hot take: it's fucking idiotic to call someone who is just calmly trying to explain their actions or emotions 'rude'. It's ESPECIALLY idiotic to say that to a small child. You'll end up turning them into a fucking doormat unable to speak up for themselves (me)
Kids can't properly control tone yet. I ESPECIALLY couldn't due to autism. So to hold a kids tone to the importance of the tone of an actor on set to get the correct feel is completely idiotic. And some teen girls literally *just sound like that*. They aren't "being rude" that's just what her voice sounds like. They aren't "making excuses" they are genuinely trying to fucking communicate their reasons so that an understanding can be reached. This shit is why EVERYONE SUCKS AT COMMUNICATING AND WE NEED TO FUCKING STOP DISCOURAGING HONEST AND OPEN COMMUNICATION
Most kids are innately honest until they are taught to lie by society or their parents. By making them FEAR honesty. By punishing them for communicating you are teaching them to lie. You are making lieing feel like the safest option even when you punish for lies. Because at least with the lie there's a chance of no punishment, but with the truth you'll 100% get punished.

Dopamine foods are foods that; without warning, a food suddenly will be attached to a Dopamine rush, but then, after an undetermined time will abruptly stop and become borderline/actually inedible.
(ex. Fruit loops will be normal, then the next time you eat it the taste/texture/smell/ect will be VERY VERY GOOD. This will continue for an undetermined amount of time, but then the next time you eat them they will feel/taste/smell/ect horrendous/disgusting and it will be a negative experience/impossible to eat them.)
Please share! I'm very curious to see as many people's answers as possible! 😁

watching the rats in genloss reminds me of how interesting the mask effect is to me. when people put on a mask they will unconsciously posess a persona, as if becoming the mask. example, someone puts on a bird mask, they will begin to subconsciously tilt their head, maybe slouch forward a bit. watching the rats in genloss i realised they at times held their hands up t-rex like or moved their heads a little sporadically, looking around and up at players. idk its super cool

Character analysis: Excorcists, Lute, and Adam.
TW: CULTS, NARCISSISTS.
Ya know, I've been thinking about the excorcists as always and here's me info dumping, I'm not a therapist but I'm mentally ill so- and I have a shit ton of religious trauma
Adam is a narcissist, that's obvious, the excorcists he surrounded himself with constantly validate him. It's almost cult like. The excorcists are his cultists, they practically warship him. When Lute reminds Adam of the rules about the excorcisim in ep 6, he agrees, but puts her in her place, degrading her. Vaggie was kicked out for questioning. Learning on her own, whith is the #1 rule when it comes to cults. When Lute kicked vaggie out, it was her attempts at gaining his attention. It's her trying to gain his favor and praise. Adam breeds an environment where the excorcists need to stand out to feel worthy, but not stand out too much, and differ yourself from the cult. I grew up in a hyper religious town, I'd parrot conspiracy theories and radical ideals at 6, 7, 8, without much thought, the kids I grew up with said them, I wanted to blend in yet stand out for the praise, recognition, and attention. I'd gain favor with teachers and pastors for the attention and praise when I'd spit back out thier homophobic and racist shit they'd say tenfold, their praise when I'd admit that yes, I was a sinner, or how the teachers would praise me for my skill, for standing out from my peers, something I still have to work through years later, it's not something that just can be gotten rid of. It lingers for the rest of your life. This did not mean to turn into a trauma dump but lol
In conclusion, The excorcists are a cult where the girls are the victims of their programming, Adam is a cult leader, a narcissist. And he deserves that death tenfold♡♡♡.

Why metalheads are happier people
Music has an undeniable power to uplift our spirits, a sentiment echoed by millions worldwide. Yet, what about heavy metal? Often characterized as raucous and confrontational, how could it possibly contribute to happiness? Do the passionate headbanging, beer-swilling, and dark-clad enthusiasts of metal find greater joy than others? It seems unlikely. However, psychologist Nico Rose offers a different perspective. In his book "Hard, Heavy and Happy," he delves into the impact of heavy metal on the body, mind, and soul. Contrary to common belief, Rose argues that what critics dismiss as "noise" can serve as a powerful tool for managing anxiety and depression.
