i mostly learned on my own! i took art lessons for about a year when i was 10? but i don’t think i learned very much that way!!

Bird of Paradise - What was the best thing that happened to you this month?

So I’ll take this in terms of July, because nothing has really happened so far in August, except me being sick (as per usual). In July, I made an effort to actually stop being a hermit and visit family and friends. It was honestly the best month because I spent it with the people I love most.

HI! BR: Do you daydream often? I do often about being successful and having a penthouse lmao. Fun fact, im slightly ambidextrous. i write with my left hand but i can use my right hand from time to time... like on a chalk board or white board i can use both but if i use my right hand on paper its not as neat... its weird. i guess its harder to write small with my right hand.

I daydream aaaaaall the time! being ambidextrous is lowkey one thing i’ve always wanted to be, that’s so cool.

Anything that you learned this year that you won't forgot?

Family and your goals come before romance. Don’t prioritize a romance, even if you think it’s The One, over your own dreams or the people that were there for you first. I made that mistake many times and let me tell you, future romances will not have that power over me. I would rather be single than sacrifice pieces of my identity.

Establish your own boundaries and standards. You aren’t rude or picky or nasty for doing so.

Be kind to people but don’t let them take advantage of you. If you don’t consider them a close friend, don’t do favors for them that let you benefit off your work.

Most of the time, if you work hard, it will pay off. Sometimes, as life can do, it doesn’t and it hurts. But keep your head up and keep going.

Discipline is way more valuable than motivation. Build your habits and stick to them.

Practice gratitude - and actually practice it. Don’t just say you’re grateful, thank people. Pay attention to small, beautiful details.

If you like something about a person, say it. Just compliment someone, you never know what kind of a difference it will make.

When people react negatively to truly kind things, that’s their issue, not yours.

Sometimes friends can be manipulative or take advantage of you. If they’re still a decent friend, acknowledge their manipulative tendencies and take a step back - keep them at arm’s length or sever the friendship completely if you need to.
