I read an Anon, on another blog, who compared SH-SH and Henry Cavill and his girlfriend. Yes, despite all the harassment and hate, Henry Cavill admitted his relationship with Natalie.
But Sam is definitely not Henry Cavill!!!
IMO He will not go public with a relationship... With Cait or with Sarah, Susie, Karina, or with whatever P invents, or with any man (lol lol) as long as this fandom exists and in a way he depends on this circus.
After the terrible MM era, his strategy has been different, perhaps for some reasons that I don't even know if it's worth listing.
Most here are not ready for this discussion, but S (and C) takes advantage of this freak situation and all of us, our beliefs, our theories, our words and our time.
Years ago, that lame excuse came up "I don't have time for relationships, I film Outlander for 10 months in Scotland" (which imo came from a shipper's speech for S and C not having children).
In his book, the excuse for the lack of relationships was changed to not being able to maintain a relationship due to the trauma of his father's abandonment. And what happened when he and his PR team, his friends, Shitner and even Cait publicly promoted his relationship with MM? (2016-2018)
And now, like a miracle, a woman appeared in Glasgow, so the problem was never "the 10 months" there, right?!
💩💩💩 Blah blah blah...

Can I pls request Felix future career reading pls ?
I honestly never tried astrological predictions before now, so…This is as accurate as I can make it while learning while I go, as well as not having his birth time.
So, looking at his Midheaven I can see his Midheaven is in Virgo, pretty much on the cusp of the tenth and ninth houses. Like right there on that fine line between the two. So depending on when he was born, he’s either tenth or ninth house. Let’s just say that it’s in the Tenth house for now. The tenth house is the house of career and public life, and is also a very strong house to have a Virgo Midheaven in. He’s definitely very precise and practical in his career, and would definitely do better with more analytical ones, but that of course doesn’t mean it’d dampen his career as an idol. With his mercury also in the tenth house, that amplifies it even more, as Virgo is ruled by mercury. This indicates that in his career, and his public life in general, there will be very good communication.
With his Mercury Trine Jupiter, this adds wisdom to his overall career. With his Mercury sextile Jupiter, I can see there being a certain transformation that comes with the communication he has with the public. Like he’ll make changes, to something, someone, or a situation. It also amplifies Mercury, amplifying his Virgo midheaven and therefore his career by extension. With his Mercury also sextile Chiron, there will be some communication that may cause wounds, in a way, or heal them. Either or.
And then looking at the Midheaven’s aspects specifically, we see Pluto, Jupiter, and Chiron all square MC. Repressed anger or hatred can definitely manifest as extreme methods to succeed and prove himself through his career, which could include using people to get ahead, cheating, intimidation, and bullying. He may use more subversive tactics if he is shy and submissive, though, but I don’t really think he is. There is also the potential for him to also be the victim of something like that. It can really go either way. Immoral and unethical behavior may bring him wealth and glory, but it also leads to really bad relationships, revenge, criticism, controversy, and public fallingouts…So. But he may be able to better his life without directly harming others, without really seeing others as a threat.
Hes definitely ambitious to get ahead and be noticed. But if he lets the anger beneath the surface affect his motivation through jealousy or greed, he will experience challenges and extreme resistance. An intense determination to succeed and have control of his destiny can result in extreme, immoral, and unethical behavior. However, the more he tries to manipulate, cheat or intimidate, the further he will be from his goal. He could also make powerful enemies or have problems with bosses, the law, immigration, or taxation…So. Uhm. Yeah.
His career will probably go through some changes, whether he wants it to or not.
HOWEVER with his Jupiter square MC he is enthusiastic about what he does, which can help him a lot in his career. But he also may be difficult to work with. There is also a risk of him becoming be re obsessive or too extreme, which can lead to to arrogance, excessive pride, unpredictable and erratic behavior, addictions, and an extremely dramatic life. Maintaining ethical and moral standards is crucial to avoid controversy and legal problems, especially in business dealings and personal relationships. He can go through periods of great success and then BOOM suffers huge setbacks. But he has a competitive streak and can make amazing comebacks. However, his competitive spirit and tendency toward taking things too far can lead to extreme rivalries and more controversy. He uses his mass amounts of energy to pursue his goals, but he may need to moderate his vitality level. Otherwise, he can suffer from exhaustion or become too overbearing for his family and work colleagues.
There can be a lot of loss, embarrassment, and disappointment if he’s not careful. He needs to remember moderation is key, and not go give into greed, selfishness, excess, and stick to his morals.
And then Chiron square MC. There’s definitely some inner wounds he has to heal if he wants to be successful.
So, his career…it’ll definitely be bumpy, but these aspects can be balanced out and can give way to something where he’ll flourish. But he’ll either be very successful or he’ll fall. Hard. So. I’m trying to be as blunt as possible with this.

Political leaders: Does faith matter?
Political leaders: Does faith matter?
Today Australia is awash with politicians who identify or are identified as Catholic. Anthony Albanese is a Catholic. Down the Eastern seaboard, the three state premiers, Dominic Perrottet (NSW), Daniel Andrews (Victoria) and Peter Malinauskas (SA) are Catholics. There are many other high-profile Catholics at ministerial level and as opposition leaders. Others, like Queensland Premier, Anastacia…

I love sitting in cafes and working coz of the peace, coffee and wifi it offers. But I guess there are other reasons as well... Does Anyone else ever finds a real-life scene such as in the cafe and feel like it's a painting? The frowns...the thoughtful postures...people just going about their lives but somehow it is picturesque and even when you are a part of that room yet you feel a bit distanced...more like a spectator in a museum...or a person watching live theatre...thinking about why people doing what they are doing...their motivations...and after a point of time all of it feels connected....like you know them and somehow...you are them...all the world's a stage...indeed

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)

Q&A with the editors of the Troubling Democracy series
Lisa Flores and Christa Olson, the editors of our new Troubling Democracy series, discuss the aim of the series, what "troubling democracy" means, and more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How do you conceive the series and what excites it?
The fact that Troubling Democracy stems from the Rhetoric and Democratic Deliberation series absolutely shapes how we approached our work as new series editors. It felt important to keep “democracy”—both as a key term for the series and as an idea that’s long been resonant in scholarly and public circles.   We’re grateful for the leadership and vision that Cheryl Glenn and Stephen Browne brought to the RDD series. They made space for a wide range of scholarship and a wide range of scholars—that’s something we’re excited to continue and expand even further. At the same time, neither of us is particularly comfortable with democracy as a so-called god term. In fact, as we’ve been putting the series together, we’ve talked (and laughed) about how we each almost didn’t submit our work to the RDD series because it didn’t feel like it fit. We don’t quite do democracy. But Cheryl and Steve made space for us, and that helped shape our thinking about how to make this new series a place that welcomes lots of ways of thinking through governance and public life—how to make Troubling Democracy a democratic place, even, because of course we both actually do do democracy in all its troubling imperfections. That means for the series we view trouble and democracy capaciously—maybe even with a hint of irreverence. It’s what makes this next stage of the series particularly exciting. We want to see what scholars today are doing when they launch from the field’s longstanding interests in the public and the civic and take them in new directions. We wonder what comes out of grappling with our past ways of relating to one another—inspiring or troubling—and (re)imagining (and/or reclaiming) our presents and futures together.
How do you define "troubling democracy"?
We’re excited by the possibilities of “trouble”—we are locating this series in the discomfort of democracy. To trouble is one thing, to be troubled is another, and to cultivate trouble is perhaps a third. Each has a place in this series. We believe seeming disparities signal space for generative conversations. It is so easy to fall back on democracy as a clear good, even as our research, our teaching, and our lives remind us that democracy is not—its failures and exclusions fall hardest on some bodies and beings while protecting and privileging others. As a result, some of the most interesting scholarship in the last decade has seen democracy as a site of contention, failure, and struggle, pushing scholars and activists to think at impossible intersections. We want to help cultivate that kind of scholarship, and we see the Troubling Democracy series as a home for it.
Who is this series for? What kind of projects are you looking for?
If your manuscript is about democracy qua democracy, it fits in this series. But if your manuscript is about world-making, about breakdowns in public life, about imagining relations among humans (and nonhumans) that are outside the bounds of Western democracy, it also definitely fits. We hope that our own histories of not-quite-fitting into democracy invite others to see themselves and their work in this series. A focus on “democracy” isn’t just about narrow modes of governance. This series is premised in simultaneous skepticism and hope, and we hope it will foster critical conversations that break open democracy’s possibilties. We’re looking forward to reading manuscripts about the power and limits of communication, about governance, resistance, control, and revolution. We’d like scholars to share work that engages in new methods, theories, and locations and that centers neglected or marginalized archives and conversations.
What are your long-term hopes for this series?
We want to support people in creating the best scholarly books they can—helping them navigate the publication process and achieve their intellectual goals. That’s the bread and butter of editing a series like this. We also hope that Troubling Democracy can become a home for innovative scholarly projects—texts that don’t function exactly like traditional monographs—and for more public-facing publications. We’re excited to collaborate with authors looking to showcase how scholarship can speak to contemporary issues and those invested in contributing to public conversations. We’ve got some learning to do before we can launch anything specific in that vein, but we’re hoping our inspiring colleagues will come to us with ideas. As scholars/teachers invested in and committed to building critical race/feminist/queer collaboration, we invite you into conversation: [email protected] and [email protected]

Thought of the Day:
Please someone tell me why every single Swiftie keeps telling the media to stop and leave Taylor Swift alone and give her privacy???
First off, she is well known for enjoying the media attention. When asked during interviews about her past love life or any part of her life, she has NOT hesitated to relay her side of the story. Someone who cares about their privacy wouldn't open their dirty laundry out like that. If you look at other celebrities who are known for being extremely private you'd see that they are super careful about not being in the public eye and not having personal questions asked during interviews.
Secondly, she was out of the public eye for years when dating Joe Alwyn and clearly that she didn't enjoy that and didn't want to hide any longer. Now you see her in very public outings, smiling (wouldn't be if she didn't want to be photographed) with her girlfriends and showing up to football games. And she continues to wear outfits that purposely relate to the albums she will next release, which helps her publicity I'm sure. It's all strategic. She also does this specifically for her fans so it's clear she wants to be photographed. Someone who wants to stay private wouldn't do this. And with the media, unfortunately you don't get the pick and choose which things stay private...you're either all in or out. That's just a reality that celebrities have to face, especially now with social media.
So please stop trying to make something out of nothing and try to defend her every move. She's a grown adult and has the power to do these things herself and she clearly knows what she's doing, you wouldn't love her so much if she didn't. She doesn't need internet warriors defending her when THEY themselves are taking things personally.

friend wanted to see my tumblr, and when i told him i can’t show it to him bc it’s basically my personal diary he went “oh so I can’t see it but a bunch of strangers on tumblr can??” he literally does not get me. no one will get me like the people in my phone get me
#It’s just so different#even though it’s public it still feels secret and safe. i feel comfy sharing a lot more on here than I do in my actual day to day life lol#in my head I’m also just speaking to myself 90% of the time which helps#if a friend off tumblr saw my thoughts I’d feel so weird ab it#esp bc they might get the vagueposting about certain situations and tell mutual friends#no thank u. this is for me. I’m not about to start censoring my thoughts bc someone I know knows my tumblr#u guys literally saw me have LIVE BREAKDOWNS#meanwhile I’ll have the worst fucking day in history and tell no one about it. I’m already cripplingly private but way more so in real life#this is basically a low stress journaling outlet for me. it’s so important for me to maintain the separation#like this is actually my diary & has been so handy for letting out emotions / articulating thoughts / staying on track !!#& I’ve met so many kind people on here who actually get me. which is so hard to find irl bc I’m surrounded by pre-med gunners/overachievers#who are by standard not very good w emotion & can be competitive/judgmental. or at least it’s hard for me to be vulnerable in front of them#and I’m part of that crowd so I reserve my emotions only to a handful of very close friends#it’s nice to hop on here and express negative emotions!! or positive emotions!! just whatever I want and it’s low stress and people get me#I don’t have to worry about judgment or competitiveness etc etc#like everyone on here is so kind & nice & understanding. & just a breath of fresh air from the types I run w. it’s just nice to have this#so idk that’s why I think I’ll always be strict about keeping the worlds separate. it just works#p

Quote
When, owing to the influence of inferior men, mutual mistrust prevails in public life, fruitful activity is rendered impossible, because the fundaments are wrong. Therefore the superior man knows what he must do under such circumstances; he does not allow himself to be tempted by dazzling offers to take part in public activities. This would only expose him to danger, since he cannot assent to the meanness of the others. He therefore hides his worth and withdraws into seclusion.
