Not only did Black women and other Black people deliver key states for the DNC, but the Navajo, Apache, Pueblo, and Hopi Nations delivered, as well. It is past time for the struggles of Native Americans to be recognized, atoned for, and righted.

On this day in 1906, Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado became a national park.
For over 700 years, the Ancestral Puebloan people built thriving communities on the mesas and in the cliffs of Mesa Verde. Today, the park protects the rich cultural heritage of 26 Tribes and offers visitors a spectacular window into the past.

Last light falls across the Painted Desert. A window in the Wupatki Pueblo, reveals stories from the past.
Visiting Wupatki National Monument in Arizona leaves one in awe of those who once lived there. The Hopi call these pueblos "The footprints of our ancestors." Though no longer inhabited, these stone homes still hold the history of today’s Pueblo people.
