Nevularxi: I have not already told you. I’m afraid my name may not translate into your language.

Lt. Commander Killian: Oh yeah?

Nevularxi: I am named for a period of time on my home planet that surrounds the immediate aftermath of the second yearly equinox of our planet’s solar star. It’s the period following our fertile rainy season, and marked the beginning of the harvest in years of antiquity, as well as the coming of the colder, darker season which our species typically spends in isolation or hibernation. The period is considered to be a time of great liminality and spiritual importance in our ancient religions, although since the dawn of the modern technological age it has lost some of its transient meaning.

Lt. Commander Killian: …Okay, but i meant more like. how do I say your name.

Nevularxi: Oh, it’s nev-you-LARK-zee.

Lt. Commander Killian: Gotcha. by the way, your name in english is October.

#oc #humans are space orcs #these are original characters of mine btw #Killian Weir is a human scientist whose dad got them a high ranking official job through nepotism #and they’re very out of their depth since all of their credentials are academic and not in leadership #so they’re overqualified for the scientific and technological aspect of their job. and vastly under qualified for every other part of it #Nev is an alien who had to fight tooth and nail to claw her way up through the ranks. so she resents Killian a bit #but later in their story arc they fall in love and go against the hypercapitalist intergalactic regime together #so it’s ok #i don’t have a design for Nev quite yet #i know i want her to be blues and purples mostly #but i want there to be a little bit of a speculative biology aspect to her design #so i have to do some worldbuilding first before i settle on anything #i just know that i want her to be bipedal but with 4 arms #and i’m also imagining her with a bob haircut. whether it’s gonna be hair or feathers or something else remains to be seen #Killian is like. 6’3 ish red haired irish american. built like a jock sort of but unfortunately lacking the swag to be sexy #They’re a xenogeologist btw. <3 i love geology

I really like SG Megatron's design here!! I think it's also a good comparison to SG Megatron's design in the SG comics!

I'm not so sure about SG Dinobot and SG Waspinator's designs though (SG Dinobot looks just a little to close to baseline Dinobot for my liking, and honestly? I just don't like that color of yellow on Waspinator.)

#GW2 #Guilds Wars 2 #sylvari #my posts #Dreamer Seren #i've had Seren for a really long time #but only JUST FINALLY went back and gave her a design #she was just in the Herald of Aurene outfit for ages HDFHFDH #tho i still need to get the stellar? astral? whichever is ascended #so she can finish up her gold and purple magic look (and then i can do an even fancier photoshoot with her using them)#i ALSO broke down and finally nabbed mistlock since it was on sale and i had enough gems saved up from gold conversion #anyway. i still need to decide her backstory... i have a lot of thoughts but i'm not settled yet #i think SotO is actually gonna be what nails her down since she definitely has magical multiverse ties...#my current thought is that she can connect to the Dreams of /multiple Tyrias/ which gives her a very strange sort of future sight #where she can see high probability futures and determine the most likely outcome based on the overlap...#she operates almost the way an Avatar of the tree does where she sees All of it and not just the part that's meant for her #also she's a chronomancer! it fits very well thematically i think :3c #(i'm working on setting her up to be a solid support chrono but i'll wait on runes until relics release so i don't waste gold lol)#sidenote i wish the butterfly texture on the carapace leggings was higher resolution it looks so pixelated for no reason GFHFHF

I actually like her design at large #like the outfit's a lot of fun and I like the blue pink green.#just some of it felt appropriate to change since the edit was for the sake of sprite ''''symmetry''''#raphael's design is pretty predictable so I didn't feel the need to change anything. at least not torso up #have y'all seen his fucking shoes why is his cape shaped like that.
